I'm honored to be joined by my new friend, Tracy Litt, on the podcast today! In today's episode, we talk about how to create safety within yourself, unpack fear and imposter syndrome, and tap into your unlimited potential. Something that every single one of us has been affected by is FEAR. While we may think fear is a negative thing and we need to move away from it completely..that's actually not true (nor is it possible to do). Fear is lovingly trying to keep us alive! Imposter syndrome (something else I'm sure you know about) tends to show up right along with fear..except it's a ‘crutch' that we fall back on all too easily.Tracy and I also dug deep into emotional addictions, why it's VITAL that we work to clear the ‘emotional congestion' from our bodies, how our thoughts and our intuition vary, stepping into ‘feeling our feelings', and more. In this episode, we cover:Tracy's journey of following the ‘normal' path society told her to, which ultimately led her to want more, go after her dreams, and help the world in a BIGGER wayWhere fear actually comes from + the role imposter syndrome playsHow we create safety instead of simply ‘finding' it + ways to regulate our nervous systemWhat the ‘drip process' is + why it's our responsibility to change what's being ‘dripped'Realizing that you ARE doing ‘enough' and you're not ‘screwing up' your kids Why it's vital that we understand our emotional addictions + how we clear emotional ‘congestion' from the body that's keeping us ‘stuck'Key differences between our thoughts & our intuition + why overcoming fear is actually impossible, but not a bad thingUnderstanding that emotion is energy in motion + what happens when you become a woman who fully ‘feels her feelings'Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode! Alison Moyet rose to fame in the 80's as one half of the synth-pop duo ‘Yazoo', going solo just one year later as the duo disbanded.  Her career has spanned four decades, 9 studio albums, two of which went to number one on the charts, and 23 million albums sold.  She's returning to New Zealand for the first time in eight years, bringing her upcoming album ‘Keys' to Kiwi audiences.  Moyet told Mike Hosking that singing live is her main focus, and so everything she does in terms of recording is to direct it towards the stage.  She's been making music and evolving as an artist for 40 years, and Moyet revealed that while there is still some anxiety when it comes to making new music and going on tour, she knows she has a group of steadfast supporters.  “I'm really excited to be there for them,” Moyet told Hosking.  Having performed for so many years, Moyet is aware that this won't last forever.  “Every time I go on tour, I'm very aware that it could be the last time that I do it,” she said.  “So just the, the, the thought that I could come out there at least one more time and have a chance to perform is you know, it's obviously an exciting thing to be able to do.”  LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Yoga Farm Educators Jeannie & Daniela share Key#3 'Play' in their 'Key's of Exceptional Relationships'. They share that first knowing how fun it is to be with you as an individual in your own experience is important to understand then moving into devoting time to 'play' with your loved ones. Where we are out of integrity with ourselves and relationships, can't be changed with 'play' unless we are truthful with ourselves and reconcile the various commitments we have in our lives. This year has understandably been tough for artists. With increasing levels of stress and anxiety, it is not easy to be freely creative. Yet, art, in all its forms, is more important than ever for getting people through these difficult times. Parlor Social is at the top of their game, and Ric'key Pageot and Dessy Di Lauro, the husband-and-wife duo behind the band, join us today to share what the pandemic has been like for them. We start by talking about some of the ways they have adapted to not being able to perform live and go on tour. Despite their initial reluctance to live streaming, they have found more connection than they ever thought possible with their virtual audience. Ric'key and Dessy talk about why they decided to give free access to their content, where they acknowledge their privilege of not being stressed about finances. We also hear about some of the other blessings that have come from this time for the pair like increased creativity and getting better at their craft. Naturally, the conversation goes to Black Lives Matter, where we talk about the issues of race and police brutality and what needs to be done to dismantle these imbalanced structures. Correcting racial injustices needs to happen at so many levels, including the arts, where Black and PoC artists have always been marginalized. Ric'key, with roots in classical music, talks about the underrepresentation of Black people in this musical genre and the work he is doing to give back. Although these times are dark in many ways, Ric'key and Dessy are doing so much to spread hope and be positive forces in people's lives. They are the embodiment of selfless artists who want to spread light and joy through all that they create.     Key Points From This Episode: Hear some of the creative ways Ric'key and Dessy have adapted to these trying times. The major improvements Ric'key and Dessy have seen getting to perform every week. Some of the technical difficulties Ric'key and Dessy have faced going virtual. Work Ric'key is doing to get back to his classical music roots and some incredible discoveries he's made. Hear about the progress Ric'key has made with his upcoming movie project. Why Ric'key wants to give back at this stage in his career and ways he plans on doing so. Ric'key's experience at McGill University, where there were very few Black students. Why Dessy feels even though conversations around race and police brutality are important, they are not enough. How Ric'key and Dessy believe you can spread hope in these difficult times. The hope that Sourdough has for his kids, who are growing up in a world different to his. The problems the U.S. is currently grappling with are not unique to the country; they are global issues. Clinton Ind chose a vastly different route in practicing law compared to his wife: he is a solo attorney turned in-house counsel, while she has worked at a large, international firm. However, how they found their paths, he explains, is the same: self-awareness and asking yourself ‘what's your greatest attribute as a lawyer.'Key moments:· Large vs. mid vs. solo – finding your niche and support network (3:25)· Moving from solo to in-house counsel (11:42)· Fair billing; it's not about billable hour versus fixed fee (17:57)· What Clinton Ind wants to see changed in law (32:53) MEMORABLE QUOTES“It's interesting because the law is the same. The scale is obviously different, but the law is always the same…. [My wife and I] are self-aware enough to know our personalities; her personality works for a firm like that, [a large firm], and mine never did.”“You're always learning something new [while practicing law], and that can be intimidating…You can overcome the intimidation of trying new things by creating a network of attorneys that you can speak with and associate with.”“I've taken issue with opposing counsel who probably do things that don't necessarily need to be done…. One of my biggest pitches to prospective clients was always ‘I'm going to keep your business objectives in mind, and we don't necessarily need to write this 30-page brief to get the point across.”ABOUT CLINTON INDClinton recently has recently transitioned his practice from a commercial litigator with his own law firm, to in-house counsel with a growing distribution business at Quantum Polymers. His new role is oriented around managing risk as the company expands while assisting with the business strategy and growth. Hi folks! We've all heard of the 'economy' but what exactly is it? It's always been presented as an unwieldy monolith that the government and the academics understand but we lowly laymen do not. Suddenly, in these times of unprecedented crises, we have seen the greatest change to our 'economy' ever witnessed in human history. In this episode I get behind the economics of the billions that have been granted to businesses, employees and charities, asking where did it come from, and who has to pay it back? What exactly does it mean if you have been furloughed? Who are really our 'Key' workers now that the proverbial fan has been it, and most importantly, where do we go from here? My guest is Joe Richards, economist and founder of the charity Economy (ecnmy.org, whatstheeconomy.com, @EconomyAsks); he himself is on twitter @joerichards.  --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rialina/support
