Federated Hermes Enhanced Income Fund (PAYR) seeks to distribute current monthly income. Distributions may vary widely and may not be paid every month. ETF shares are bought and sold on an exchange at market price (not NAV) and are not individually redeemed from the fund. However, shares may be redeemed at NAV directly by certain authorized broker-dealers (Authorized Participants) in very large creation/redemption units. Shares may trade at a premium or discount to their NAV in the secondary market. Brokerage commissions will reduce returns. Market price returns are based on the official closing price of an ETF share or, if the official closing price isn't available, the midpoint between the national best bid and national best offer (“NBBO”) as of the time the ETF calculates the current NAV per share. NAVs are calculated using prices as of the end of regular trading on the New York Stock Exchange (normally 4:00pm Eastern Time). Recent information, including information about the fund's NAV, market price, premiums and discounts, and bid-ask spreads, is included on the fund's website at FederatedHermes.com/us. A rise in interest rates can cause a decline in bond prices. There are no guarantees that dividend-paying stocks will continue to pay dividends and they may not have the same capital appreciation potential as other stocks. A return of capital distribution will reduce the shareholder's cost basis and result in a higher capital gain or lower capital loss when fund shares are sold. Investing in options involves risks different from, or possibly greater than investing in traditional investments. Episode 158: This week, Kyle Van Pelt talks with Michael Batnick, Managing Partner at Ritholtz Wealth Management. Michael began his career in sales at a life insurance company. Today, he focuses on helping clients navigate the challenges of long-term investing and achieve their financial goals. Michael talks with Kyle about how AI is disrupting the wealth management industry. He discusses the realities of rising technology spend, the limits of AI-driven efficiency in human relationships, and how firms can use AI to improve advisor training. Michael also shares the concept behind Exhibit A—Ritholtz's custom-branded visual storytelling and charting software platform—and the importance of building intuitive technology that genuinely makes people's lives easier. In this episode: (00:00) - Intro (02:26) - Navigating AI hype vs. operational realities (04:24) - Michael's thoughts on technology spending (07:01) - Why AI won't systematically double an advisor's client capacity (11:21) - How AI could transform training for young advisors (15:57) - Private equity and the changing advisor landscape (19:24) - The debate between cash flow and enterprise value (23:09) - The concept behind Exhibit A (25:52) - Are RIAs becoming wirehouses in disguise? (28:32) - Why large RIAs struggle to reach the public markets (31:19) - Michael's outlook for the wealth management industry (32:38) - The future of multi-custodial RIAs (35:23) - Michael's Milemarker Minute Key Takeaways Don't confuse efficiency with capacity. AI can automate preparation, documentation, and follow-up, but human capacity for real, meaningful conversations has a ceiling regardless of how much prep work gets automated. Rethink how you train the next generation of advisors. Build a training engine, not just a productivity tool. If AI tools can simulate practice scenarios and give real-time coaching feedback, use them to compress the learning curve for junior talent instead of burning your best chances on people who might not be ready yet. Question industry narratives before adopting them. Just because a structure worked for someone else doesn't mean it's automatically right for your business. Figure out what you actually need. Make technology so intuitive that clients barely notice it. When software is genuinely easy to use, adoption grows, support needs drop, and businesses can scale more sustainably. Quotes "There's never been more excitement and also more confusion about the future of where we're going." ~ Michael Batnick "I think a lot of people are really excited about the promise of AI and what it's going to do to change our industry, our jobs, our margins, and the way that we communicate with clients. But I don't think we know what that looks like, which is fine, totally fine and normal." ~ Michael Batnick "Dealing with clients is exhausting, mentally and emotionally. It takes a lot out of you." ~ Michael Batnick Links Michael Batnick on LinkedIn Ritholtz Wealth Management Future Proof Matt Cerminaro Exhibit A For Advice Ian Wenik Creative Planning Altruist Jason Wenk Powerhouse by James Miller Connect with our hosts Milemarker.co Kyle on LinkedIn Jud on LinkedIn Subscribe and stay in touch Apple Podcasts Spotify YouTube Produce game-changing content with Turncast Turncast helps your company grow by producing top-quality content and fostering transformative conversations. Stocks may decline in value. Bond investments are subject to interest-rate, credit, liquidity and market risks to varying degrees. When interest rates rise, bond prices generally fall. Foreign investing involves greater and different risks than investing in US companies, including currency fluctuations, less liquidity, less developed or less efficient trading markets, lack of comprehensive company information, political instability and differing auditing and legal standards. Emerging markets tend to be more volatile and less liquid than the markets of more mature economies, and generally have less diverse and less mature economic structures and less stable political systems than those of developed countries. Funds investing in a single industry, country or in a limited geographic region generally are more volatile than more diversified funds. Performance of a fund may diverge from that of an underlying index due to operating expenses, transaction costs, cash flows, use of sampling strategies or operational inefficiencies. There are additional risks associated with investing in high-yield bonds, aggressive growth stocks, non-diversified/concentrated funds and small- and mid-cap stocks which are more fully explained in the prospectuses, as applicable. An investment in any fund should be considered only as a supplement to a complete investment program for those investors willing to accept the risks associated with that fund. Please read the applicable prospectus for more information. The brand DWS represents DWS Group GmbH & Co.
