About Leah Martin-BrownEven before picking up her first guitar at age 11, Leah Martin-Brown knew she was destined to become a musician.Born in Brisbane, Queensland and raised in the beautiful beach town Burleigh Heads, Leah would play anywhere there was a stage- oftentimes begging family friends who owned bars and restaurants to let her set up and play a few tunes. By the time she was 16, Leah was writing, recording and performing her original music all over the Gold Coast and surrounding areas- regularly being booked for locally run festivals, youth events and the occasional nightclub with her newly named project 'Lilly Rouge'.Leah finished high school and was accepted into the 'Bachelor of Popular Music' program at Griffith University which she graduated from in 2011. Andrej Lemanis is a former professional basketball player and now coach.As a player he won the Australian National championship with the South East Melbourne Magic in 1992. He then transitioned into coaching holding various assistant roles until he was appointed head coach of the New Zealand Breakers in 2005. That team would ultimately go on to win 3 consecutive Championships, helping Andrej to be appointed to as the Australian Men's coach in 2013. He would go on to take the Australian team from a world ranking of 11 to 3, its highest ever and go to become the winningest national coach ever. He is presently the coach of Altria Chiba in the Japan league. “I think I'm ready for it. I'm excited for it. I have a lot of self-hatred, anger and adrenaline kicking in for this race. I know it's just the beginning of my season…With this, it's just about proving where I belong in Australian running and I have to back myself thinking I am in record holder in the event and I should act like it and train like it. I feel like we've been training smart and training well over the past few months. I've gone from a little confidence to a lot of confidence in about six weeks.” Australian Olympian and 1500m national record holder Olli Hoare unfortunately had to miss last year's World Championships with a sports hernia and some swelling in the groin area. He had just run a personal best of 3:29.41 at the Oslo Diamond League but the pain was too much to race through. After some time off and some heavy cross-training, he rejoined his OAC teammates for workouts in the fall and will race for the first time this weekend at the Australian National Championships. 20 year old Jesse Asmus is a determined young man. He clearly knows what he wants to do in life and BMX. He told me in order for him to become the best he's going to have to leave Australia. He says Sam Willoughby has inspired him to strive for greatness. Presently Asmus is ranked 4th in the world for U23. Last year he won the Oceania Championships and the overall Australian National series. Crazy to think it was his first year doing international racing. Asmus says the bigger the race the more pumped he gets to succeed. In 2024 he's working on his gates and first straight. He's planning to do the World Cup Calendar and spend some time here in the U.S. racing.

After 12 years at the University of Western Australia, he moved to take up the chair of philosophy at the University of Queensland, and after 12 years there, he moved again to take up the Boyce Gibson Chair of Philosophy at Melbourne University, where he is now emeritus. While he was there, he was a Fellow of Ormond College. During the Melbourne years, he was also an Arché Professorial Fellow at the University of St Andrews. He is a past president of the Australasian Association for Logic and the Australasian Association of Philosophy, of which he was Chair of Council for 13 years. He was elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Humanities in 1995, and awarded a Doctor of Letters by the University of Melbourne in 2002. In 2009 he took up the position of Distinguished Professor at the Graduate Center, City University of New York, where he now lives and works. Almost 200 countries have agreed to begin reducing the consumption of fossil fuels at COP28. The Dubai conference came close to being a failure, because some nations wanted to phase them out. The deal specifically calls for transitioning away from fossil fuels in energy systems. Australian National University climate change professor Mark Howden says that's weak and undefined language. After service in World War I, Capt Allan moved to the other side of the world and joined the fledgling Australian National Airways. He retells stories of his time with the airline, including his experiences of flying Avro 10s between Australian cities, and shares his opinions of the company's two guiding lights: Charles Kingsford Smith and Charles Ulm. Allan went onto play a part in many of the key events in spreading civil aviation across the southern hemisphere, including pioneering airmail flights between London and Australia, starting with flying with Kingsford Smith on the first experimental air mail flight in 1931 and playing a part in a record-breaking trip between the two continents in his de Havilland DH.86 during 1933. He also discusses training to operate flying boats for Qantas, before giving a view of why Qantas decided to fly American rather than British aircraft after the Second World War. Captain G. U.
