Buona visione! The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- On Thursday, President Donald Trump announced Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) will no longer be the nominee to serve as Ambassador to the United Nations. In a post to Truth Social, Trump revealed he asked Stefanik to remain in Congress—citing the Republican Party's narrow majority in the House of Representatives and the need for her critical vote to pass conservative policies. Though New York's 21st Congressional District is reliably red, reports indicate that Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) was planning to delay filling the vacancy—despite NY law mandating an election within 90 days. 3:30pm- Corey DeAngelis—Senior Fellow at the American Culture Project & Visiting Fellow at the American Institute for Economic Research—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the Trump Administration's pledge to dismantle the Department of Education. DeAngelis explains that President Donald Trump has emphasized Title I programs and IDEA will still be federally funded and will not be touched. The programs provide funding for students in high-poverty areas as well as students with disabilities. Who could possibly be opposed to returning education to the local level—where parents have more control? President of the American Federation of Teachers Randi Weingarten, of course! DeAngelis emphasizes “her power is slipping right through her fingertips” but this is good news for students, parents, and even teachers. “She makes over half a million dollars a year fighting to trap other people's kids in her failure factories that she likes to call public schools.” DeAngelis is the author of “The Parent Revolution: Rescuing Your Kids from the Radicals Ruining Our Schools.” 3:40pm- Disney Disaster: Disney's live action remake of the classic film Snow White hit theaters on March 21st. Despite needing to earn a reported $600 million to cover production and marketing costs, the film only grossed $43 million in its opening weekend. Part of the problem, according to reports, is Disney's unwillingness to put the film's star, Rachel Zegler, on an extended promotional tour due to her past controversial comments which have included criticisms of the original Snow White story, nasty comments about castmates, and profane remarks about President Donald Trump and his supporters. According to a new report from Variety, one of the film's producers needed to fly to Zegler and plead with her to stop posting polarizing messages on social media.

Ten days before the Columbine tragedy's first anniversary, families of victims faced a devastating choice: trust officials who had been stonewalling them for a year or file lawsuits before the statute of limitations expired. For most, it wasn't a difficult decision. What followed was a years-long legal battle that gradually pried loose thousands of pages of evidence Jefferson County officials had desperately tried to conceal. Through court orders and persistent advocacy, families uncovered proof that authorities knew about Eric Harris's threatening website and bomb-making well before the shooting—contradicting their public denials. The struggle culminated in revelations that police had actively prevented rescue attempts for teacher Dave Sanders, who bled to death over three hours while volunteer rescuers were kept at bay.Behind the headlines, Principal Frank DeAngelis carried his own burden, shepherding traumatized students through three years of emotional aftershocks while battling PTSD himself. Despite developing a heart condition and eventually losing his marriage to the strain, DeAngelis made the surprising choice to remain as principal after his mission to graduate the last class of Columbine survivors was complete. The tragedy transformed how America responds to school violence. FBI and Secret Service research shattered prevailing myths about school shooters, revealing no useful "profile" exists—except that 81% confide their intentions before acting. Law enforcement abandoned its old containment approach for the now-standard active shooter protocol that prioritizes neutralizing threats immediately.Through their relentless pursuit of accountability, Columbine families didn't just uncover a troubling pattern of deception. They fundamentally changed how schools and communities identify potential threats, support troubled students, and respond when violence erupts. The full story won't be known until 2027, when depositions from the killers' parents are finally unsealed after decades of court-ordered silence.Send us a text Support the show

Lee tries to start off 2025 on a positive note with a playlist from everyone's favourite Italian brother duo, Guido & Maurizio De Angelis. If you're counting, this is the fourth time Lee has done a show covering the work of the prolific brothers (search the archives on Podbean for parts 1-3), be it under their names, Oliver Onions, or some of the lesser known pseudonyms they've used over the decades. In many cases, this list features instrumental versions of songs Lee has used in previous episodes, and Lee does much less talking than in previous installments of this series. This makes for an easier episode to put together for Lee, and more music for you the listener. It's like you won a new shiny red dune buggy! --Across the Fields & Dune Buggy (Instrumental) from "Watch Out, We're Mad!" (1974) --Driving All Around (Instrumental) & Goodbye My Friend (Rock Version) from "Street Law" (1974) --Afyon (Instrumental) from "The Sicilian Connection" (1974) --Sliding Crime from "Violent Rome" (1975) --Flat Foot Cop from "Flatfoot in Hong Kong" --Suspense from "Hit Squad" (1976) --E Nun ce vojo sta from "Hit Squad" (1976) --Alberto Griso --Verso l'avventura from "Soldier of Fortune" (1976) --Ultimo Inseguimento & Agguato from "The Big Racket" (1976) --Miss Robot from "Bulldozer" (1978) --In Africa, Freedom (Single Side A Alt Mix), Diamonds #2 & African Disco from "Flatfoot in Africa" (1978) Opening and closing music: Theme from Slaughter from "Slaughter" by Billy Preston, and Too Risky a Day for a Regatta from "Tentacles" by Stelvio Cipriani.
Roman De Angelis is one of the top drivers in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competing in the GTD and GTD Pro categories. We caught up with him just prior to the 2024 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach where his teammate started from pole position the previous year. It was a good year for the “Heart of Racing” team as De Angelis and Marco Sorenson won three races. In this interview, he talks about what happened at Long Beach the previous year, some of the iconic races he won, how he got started in racing, and his expectations for Long Beach and beyond. He also does a nice job of breaking down the difference between GTD and GTD Pro and the whole driver ranking system. Enjoy! NOTE: At Long Beach, he qualified fourth and got into third during the race. Unfortunately, another competitor hit his teammate in the second half of the race which led to a DNF (Did Not Finish). Coming up is the IMSA Roar Before the 24 test, and the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona on January 17-19 and January 22-26, 2025.
Almost everyone can look at the education landscape in America today and see that something has gone very, very wrong. Spending per student has increased, and there is no evidence that this increased spending has improved student performance outcomes. But what if there are factors eating up the budget and keeping the student performance outcomes stagnant? Factors such as the rise of teachers unions in non-right-to-work states, for example?Joining us today is Corey DeAngelis, a school choice evangelist who is a senior fellow at the American Culture Project, to discuss a recently released report he helped author that looks at just that, the administrative bloat in the public school system and how it correlates to increased teacher union influence. Also joining is CRC colleague Mike Watson, our regular host and resident labor union expert. Corey A. DeAngelis is a senior fellow at the American Culture Project. He has been labeled the “school choice evangelist” and called “the most effective school choice advocate since Milton Friedman.” He is a regular on Fox News and frequently appears in The Wall Street Journal. DeAngelis is also the executive director at Educational Freedom Institute, a senior fellow at Reason Foundation, an adjunct scholar at Cato Institute, a board member at Liberty Justice Center, and a senior advisor at Accuracy in Media. He holds a Ph.D. in education policy from the University of Arkansas. When eighteen-year-old recent high school graduate Tiffany Valiante was struck and killed by a train in July 2015, the news came as a shock to friends and family, who couldn't fathom why the teenager had been out walking the tracks that night. Their shock and confusion quickly turned to outrage and disbelief when, less than twenty-four hours later, Tiffany's death was ruled a suicide by the New Jersey Transit Police, who were tasked with investigating the incident. As far as everyone knew, Tiffany was a happy, outgoing girl with a bright future and a sports scholarship to Mercy College in the fall—they couldn't think of a single reason why she would have wanted to end her life. Despite the official conclusions about her death, the Valiante family have never believed Tiffany intentionally stepped in front of the train that night, and in the months and years that have passed since her death, many other people have come to a similar conclusion. In fact, they're confident the evidence and numerous unanswered questions suggest Tiffany had not gone into the woods voluntarily and that her death is at best suspicious, and at worst a murder. For too long, your child's educational quality has been determined by which Democrat money laundering scheme (teacher's union) is planted near your home. Parents were forced to comply with woke, incompetent educators or pay for a private education that could cost tens of thousands of dollars a year. For wealthy families, this wasn't a problem. The same wasn't true for middle-class Americans. This was until the School Choice revolution. Parents saw what their children were learning during the COVID pandemic and said this simply wasn't good enough. Republican politicians saw this energy and quickly capitalized to take the governor's mansion in Virginia and school boards across the country. Education matters to parents and they are willing to vote, organize, and raise funds to give their children the best education possible. On an exciting episode of the Sara Carter Show, Sara is joined by Dr. Corey A.
