Rice weevils are small, yet significant pests that pose a threat to stored grains, particularly rice, but also affecting other cereals like wheat, corn, and barley. Are there any effective and harmless methods of getting rid of any insects? Unfortunately, the chemical pesticides sold in stores are way too toxic and harmful to be used anywhere near your home, family, or pets. If these chemicals can kill insects, surely they cannot be good for you! That's why it's better to use something natural and safe. TIMESTAMPS: Cockroaches 1:01 Ticks 1:57 Garden pests 3:37 Spiders 5:04 Ants 5:51 Dust mites 6:36 Weevils 7:56 #bugs #cockroaches #spiders Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/... SUMMARY: If you want to get rid of these pests, there are many products you can get from the store, but most of them are usually highly toxic. This can be especially dangerous if you have small kids or pets. Ticks can spread terrible diseases such as Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Colorado tick fever, ehrlichiosis, and tularemia. Some of these conditions can be fatal. One of the ways to get rid of garden pests is to create a special repellent with the use of tobacco. This product is especially effective if you need to scare away worms, aphids, and caterpillars. This natural repellent won't kill spiders, but it will keep them away because they don't like strong smells. Ants absolutely hate the smell of cinnamon. That's why you should put cinnamon powder in places where you think the ants are entering. For more effective results, you can add some essential oil to the cinnamon powder. These things are so tiny that you can't even see them with the naked eye. But unfortunately, if you don't see them, it doesn't mean they're not around. They live in household dust, prefer warmer places, and their favorite food is skin flakes. Weevils prefer grains and seeds but can also appear in flour or even pancake mix. The larvae of these bugs live and develop inside your food supplies. And you don't even suspect anything until one month after their birth when they suddenly appear in your food. Weevils, moths and beetles, oh my!
At times it is difficult to see what good can come out of what seems like bad situations.
Recorded: 7/12/24Stored grain insect pests like weevils and grain moths can greatly reduce grain quality during storage, and increase the risk of grain rejection at the elevator. In this episode, we chat with Penn State Entomologist and Extension Specialist, Dr. John Tooker, about the biology of these insect pests and how to manage them using an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach. Welcome back! In the first new episode in over a year, I was very happy and enlightened with sit down and chat with my friend Dan Holder. When I asked Dan what story he would be most interested in talking about for RTF he quickly replied Master and Commander. As I learned, Master and Commander is a 20+ book series on the adventures of Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin. As such, we condensed the series down to watching the 2003 film Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World; starring Russell Crowe and Paul Bettany. I absolutely loved this film and can't believe I didn't see it when it first came out. In this episode we discuss: The British fleet and what it meant to the British psyche The role of duty and how historical pieces help us view how people in the past had different mindsets than today Superstition at sea and how that affects people The beauty of the Galopagos Islands and how they engender a sense of secular spirituality in me Many other elements of the film and books. A big thanks to Dan in joining me for this episode, and stay tuned for more!

The palmetto weevil (Rhynchophorus cruentatus) is an insect native to Florida, but has been found as far as southern Texas to the west and South Carolina to the north. It is the largest weevil in North America and the only kind of palm weevil in the continental United States. It infests palms and is considered a pest.
Today we're breaking down Season 3, Episode 19 - Weevils Wobble But They Don't Fall Down. As the title foretells, Weevil is back, finally! And once again he's facing a very accusatory tone from Veronica. She just loves to never believe him! It's their thing! This episode is a fun one, I love the rich student thieves storyline and the side plot with Wallace and his throwback to the pilot beach plane. I don't especially love how the episode ends, though. A penultimate episode sex tape scandal is not really what you expect.. Or want.
