Cindy and Larry Lubinus have embraced retirement with enthusiasm and family. You can find this couple traveling to sporting activities for their grandchildren as well as planning trips to special destinations in their Class A motor home. But today, we talk to them about a special road trip they took to experience the colors and sites of the NE during peak leaf season. This is a trip and title I long to take...becoming an official "leaf peeper!"

A buckle list for many and a birthday present to us, the Masters experience was a great treat. Yes, it is birthday month again, and this year Curt and I decided to take advantage of our special "in" to the Masters and travel to Augusta, Georgia for the Masters practice rounds. Although it was a month earlier than our actual birthdays, we decided it was the perfect birthday treat for both of us. Today we talk to Jeff Balch from Pennsylvania about his retirement adventure on the Appalachian Trail.Many retired folks would love to add this adventure filled hike to their list of accomplishments and for those who are successful it is worth bragging about! The Appalachian Trail is approximately 2160 miles of steep mountain climbs and massive bouldering. Hats off to Jeff! What an amazing retirement journey.

Dawn has embraced daylily gardening with a zest just as she did her career as an engineer at the Campbells Soup Company. If you are like me, (Cindy), gardening is a favorite hobby in retirement and it isn't always easy. There is so much to learn to be successful and produce beautiful flower beds. When I think of this song my mind always goes back to the weeks right after the birth of our first daughter 31 years ago when my husband told me he was going to jump out of a plane! Tandem sky diving was just getting popular and Curt was going to try it! 31 years later and Tandem sky diving is a popular extreme sport that many of tried. Our guest this episode did just that! Ron Santalucia loved his adventure and he tells us all about this great experience. I'm pretty sure its in my future!
