Lee Feldman / Co-Founder of Pops Corn, Inc. Entrepreneurship comes easy to Lee Feldman who at the age of 11 launched “Lee's Magical Entertainment,” performing magic tricks at local parties.    A native of Plantation, Florida where he had early on discovered a calling for sports, Lee graduated Nova High School in 1995 at the same time holding the positions of Captain of both the Varsity Basketball Team and the Varsity Cross Country Team. It was in 1999 that the direction in which Lee was headed was clearly illustrated when he was awarded an Associates of Science Degree in Marketing Management from Broward Community College.  Since that time his personal mantra, “the desire to make everything I do extremely successful” became evident when, with younger brother, Lonnie, the Feldman team launched Pops Corn, Inc., a visionary concept of bringing a high-end, nutritionally right, popular fun food to the residents and tourists who flocked to the new Weston Town Center.  That was in 2001. Since that time, Pops Corn, Inc. has grown to include operations in Pembroke Pines; Pembroke Lakes Mall and Fort Lauderdale; Fort Lauderdale Beach. A member of the Rotary Club of Weston, Florida from which he received the Service Above Self Award, Lee also serves on the Board for Nova Southeastern Young Entrepreneur Council and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In 2010 Lee was honored with being a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Honoree.  In 2012 & 2013 Pops Corn was awarded the “Small business of the year” by the Fort Lauderdale Chamber Of Commerce. In 2013 Lee was awarded the “Small Business person of the year” by the Fort Lauderdale chamber of commerce. Despite the fact that Pops Corn, Inc. continues to take most of his time and vision for its future development, Lee still has time for his hobbies, reading, writing, and playing in adult basketball leagues.  Some kids never grow up! https://youtu.be/pNQiSwwpJ0M Jason Hill / Client Focused Advisors (Host) Kevin Cox / Adams Center for Entrepreneurship at FAU (Co-Host) Lee Feldman / Pops Corn, Inc. How Ketamine Therapy Is Changing The Game

Christina Thomas / President & Founder of MY Self Wellness As President and Founder of MY Self Wellness, Christina Thomas leads management and operations for the Ketamine Clinic—ensuring employees, partners, and customers alike experience the highest level of support and assistance. Christina has over a decade of experience in the hospitality and management industries and received her undergraduate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). Christina knows firsthand what it feels like to battle depression, anxiety, and PTSD after being involved in a life-threatening jet ski accident in 2007. She was prescribed a medley of pain killers and mood stabilizers to help suppress trauma caused by the accident, but the drugs left her feeling joyless and lost. She knew there had to be a better way and embarked on a self-healing journey. Using meditation and positive lifestyle changes, she was able to wean off her prescription medications, but it wasn't until Christina discovered the healing powers of Ketamine that she was able to truly heal. Today, she is on a mission to share the restorative benefits of Ketamine with anyone suffering from mental, emotional, and physical distress. Opening its doors one week before the COVID 19 lockdown of 2020, MY Self Wellness stands as a beacon of hope and healing to anyone suffering from mental health issues. When Christina isn't working at the clinic, she's mother to her 2-year-old son, Charlie, and is a loving partner to Charles Patti, the clinic's Brand Ambassador. Together, they are on a mission to serve southwest Florida. Christina believes that healing happens in community and is proud to run one of the nation's first female-led Ketamine clinics. Charles Patti / Brand Ambassador of MY Self Wellness Charles Patti serves as the Brand Ambassador for MY Self Wellness. His own journey of healing has provided him with the opportunity to share his story and help others. He started off using alcohol and other substances at a young age to try and escape his depression, anxiety, and fear of death. He was always a good person but couldn't ever get himself together or get any prolonged sobriety under his belt. He was always getting in trouble because of his drinking and using and felt hopeless like there was nothing that was ever going to get him out of this despair and addiction. Feeling so hopeless for so long being as an IV drug user, alcoholic, and addicted to benzodiazepines, crack cocaine, food, sex, and even scratch-off tickets left him unsure if anything was ever going to be able to pull him out from where he was mentally, physically and spiritually. Then, through the use of psychedelic medicines, his life changed. Psilocybin mushrooms, dimethyltryptamine (DMT), and ketamine were game changers. These medicines alleviated his fear of death and his anxiety and depression subsided. Psychedelic medicines changed everything for him and he gives full credit to these medicines. However, meditation, self-work, and healthy living also played a huge role in his healing and has gotten him to where he is today. His mission is to let anybody know that if they're struggling out there and they feel like nothing is going to work, there is hope! If he was able to beat multiple addictions, anxiety and depression, anybody can. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCGOl9bnNZM Jason Hill / Client Focused Advisors (Host) Kevin Cox / Adams Center for Entrepreneurship at FAU (Co-Host) Christina Thomas / MY Self Wellness (Guest) Charles Patti / MY Self Wellness (Guest)

Maggie Vo / Chief Investment Officer & Managing General Partner of Fuel Venture Capital Maggie Vo, CFA®, is a finance expert with more than a decade's experience in the public markets, analyzing and managing investments across a wide spectrum of asset classes, both traditional and alternative. Born in Vietnam, Maggie began her career in finance at Prudential Vietnam Fund Management and, later, Prudential Property Investment Managers in Singapore, gradually cultivating a rich network across Asia. She focused specifically on private equity real estate, in addition to driving efforts around fundraising, deal prospecting, valuation, and due diligence for the fund. In the U.S., Maggie then accepted the position of Portfolio Manager at Blue Shores Capital, where she managed the boutique hedge fund's flagship Global Long Short Equity strategy. She was responsible for the development of proprietary models and oversight of the fund's risk-management process, a duty that has fundamentally informed Fuel Venture Capital's proprietary downside risk-mitigation investment theory. Maggie's transition from the public markets to the world of venture capital was spurred by the realization that value is continually shifting to actors in early-stage private-market deals. As General Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Fuel Venture Capital, Maggie spearheads due diligence processes that determine prospective investments and capital deployment and steers valuation analyses of existing portfolio companies. Perhaps most importantly, Maggie acts as an instrumental source of guidance for the executives of Fuel Venture Capital portfolio companies as they troubleshoot through the challenges of entrepreneurship in the fast-paced, high-stakes technology sector – from recruiting and sales strategies, to company culture building and corporate governance measures. Today, Fuel is a VC firm with $400 million assets under management and has a portfolio of 32 companies, including Soundtrack Your Brand, Curve and Taxfyle. Maggie is also the Chief Investment Officer of Maquia Capital Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: MAQC). With headquarters in Miami and Latin America, Maquia Capital Acquisition Corp is a $175 million special purpose acquisition corporation targeting tech-focused middle market and emerging growth businesses in North America. Recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the CFA Society of South Florida, Maggie holds a B.S. in Financial Economics and Mathematics from Centre College. She is fluent in Vietnamese. Maggie sits on the Board of Directors of Bolt Mobility, Eyrus, Soundtrack Your Brand and Ubicquia and is a strong proponent of mentoring and supporting other women breaking into the industry. Maggie has appeared on Bloomberg Television and has been named Brickell Magazine's top 20 professionals under 40 and recognized as an Influential Business Women by South Florida Business Journal and The South Florida Business & Wealth in addition to receiving Miami Dade County's Among the Company of Women award. Olivia Gaudree / Core Analyst & Partner of Fuel Venture Capital Olivia Gaudree is Fuel Venture Capital's core analyst and newest partner, providing operational and analytical support to General Partners, Limited Partners and portfolio companies. As the youngest partner at age 26, she is responsible for guiding prospective founders through essential stages of the comprehensive due diligence process and toward possible admission to the fund. Olivia is responsible for assessing and analyzing investment opportunities that flow through the deal screening process, assisting in the detailed analysis conducted on prospective companies. Additionally, she oversees the growth metrics of Fuel Venture Capital investments and allocations. Born into an entrepreneurial family, with her father having started several businesses himself, she always had an interest in self-starter types who went on to dream up big ideas and realize them. Throughout her childhood, she knew that she wanted to do something in business and set her career path in that realm from a young age. Before joining Fuel Venture Capital in 2018, Olivia interned at Thomson Reuters's New York City office in the firm's Financial and Risk Division. She also worked at boutique hedge fund Blue Shores Capital as an equity Research intern, performing directed equity research projects. That environment, along with her prior internships, helped to guide her toward venture capital, where today she excels as the youngest partner. She was recognized as one of the Top Innovators Under 25 by the South Florida Business Journal.
