Nowadays, with people living more sedentary lives, many of us begin losing 1% flexibility each year, starting in our 30s. But did you know proper stretching can help slow down the aging process? And that intravenous hydration can help you deal with energy and a long list of ailments? Our guest recently opened up two separate businesses that provide those services for anyone, including athletes. Subscribe to "Run The Race" to hear weekly insight to help you improve your fitness and faith. (6:44) Experienced sales associate - in the field of physical therapy, health and wellness - Josh O'Neal is the co-owner of a Hydralive and his newest venture a Stretch Zone, both those in North Columbus GA. He talks about the unique advantages of those businesses...the importance of having better range of motion, even as our bodies get older...the what/why of practitioner-assisted stretching...and being proactive with flexibility. (19:55) As for jolts of hydration, Josh talks about what that does for your body...additives for that IV...other services at Hydralive like the really cold Cryotherapy. (28:41) He also talks about how a month+ furlough from his job during COVID led to being an entrepreneur who now co-owns these businesses, God opening doors with the help of a partner/nurse. (41:46) Josh's goal is helping others through enjoying experiences to improve their health. His faith in God drives that passion to focus on the Golden Rule for clients - do onto others as you'd want them to do to you. That also goes for his family and his church, which is why he fights through anxiety on the worship team. (52:10) We close our chats with his favorite parts of co-owning businesses. A lot of it comes down to having "ownership." Thanks for listening to the #RunTheRace podcast! Also, write a quick review about it, on Apple podcasts. This week's interview is with an amazing, rising star of franchising, Tony Zaccario, who at the age of 28, is President and CEO of Stretch Zone. For the past five years, Zaccario has led the charge at Stretch Zone, bringing the brand to 200 units from the 5 that were licensed when he first got there. Zaccario was hired as General Manager in 2016, promoted to VP of Operations 15 months later and ultimately to President and CEO just 15 months after that. WIth not a single failure, this chain is tracking toward 300 open and operating by the summer of 2023. And, with the likes of Drew Brees, NFL and franchising veteran on his board and, also investing in the brand as a multi-unit owner, this brand is on it's way.. In fact, their growth is not occuring from the sale to new franchisees, so much as from awarding additional territories to highly successful, existing franchisees, coming back for more.

“People don't realize that stress causes muscle tension, yet stretching can release that tension. That's why they feel better when they get off our tables.” - Kelly Harrick Kelly Harrick grew up in a small town in western Kansas – so small the town only had one stoplight. However, that close-knit community was a gift to her as it allowed her to get to know everybody in town, including the one and only physical therapist whose family she began babysitting when she was a young girl. In today's episode, Kelly shares the impact those early connections had on her life, as well as her inspiring story of how she fell in love with helping people feel better. After a successful and fulfilling career as a physical therapist for many years, Kelly decided to take a break and went out searching for how she could take her passion of helping people to a new level. This episode includes the inspirational journey of how Stretch Zone was founded and how changed our community's perspective about the ever-growing benefits of stretching. She also provides some bonus tips on how often you should be stretching throughout the day at home, how stretching impacts your stress levels, and why people say they feel younger and lighter after their time at Stretch Zone. About Today's Guest: Kelly Harrick took her passion for stretching and built a business around it. Today, she is the owner-operator of Stretch Zone in Kansas City, where they help people increase their range of motion gradually by utilizing their patented equipment alongside their practitioners. Kelly has been a physical therapist for over 25 years, specifically working with orthopedic patients. Opening Stretch Zone became a passion for her because she wanted to use her wellness background to help people experience less pain, improve their flexibility, and even increase their circulation. She believes that if we all start with the base of stretching, other things in the body get better. I learnt many years ago that my observations just before a lesson were a more accurate risk assessment than some riders made before mounting. But my words of caution did not stop them getting on - and then remaining on for a very short time! The hypervigilant horse paired with a hypervigilant rider can really wind each other up, and keeping the horse’s attention can be vital. We all know about ‘rest and digest’ and ‘fight or flight’, but research has shown that there is actually a third system. This is evolutionarily the oldest, and it makes us freeze (which works well for a reptile on a rock) and ‘fold’ - going limp when we perceive that there is no possibility of escape. These responses present riders with the biggest challenge.

I am looking at the comfort zone model and the importance of what's called a stretch zone experience when it comes to owning our anxiety and building our confidence. I talk through the ideal scenario so that we are not feeling excessive anxiety at any point but are not so stuck in our comfort zones that we are not growing our challenging our anxiety so as to ensure it doesn't own us.Support the podcast on patreon here. Welcome to the Champions Of Mind podcast - game changing content from the UK’s leading success, mindset and motivational coaches Llewellyn and Rhys Davies alongside Brand Director James Burtt. This week we join the boys in the Central London studio at the end of a hard day of recording for another project. A project that required a totally new skill set and style of content creation. It was one of those days where things just didn’t click into place as it was all so brand new so the lads jumped on a COMind podcast to discuss the power of operating in their stretch zone… while they were in it. During the show they discuss: * Stretch zone activity being tiring but essential * How genuine growth occurs when you stretch * The emotional transition you must go through while in your stretch zone * Intuition is an essential element of growing your ability to stay in your stretch zone * How people mistake a hurdle for a brick wall * Emotions will effect your ability to make decisions while in your stretch zone * Stretch zones lead to a process to find happiness * Knowing what to do when you get comfortable * Success creates its own stretch zones As always tangible, actionable, usable, tactical and practical content designed for instant implementation to take your life to the next level.
