    Ivy Insights

The Today By The Way podcast, hosted by Indiana Adams, has become a staple in my podcast rotation. Over the course of a year of listening, Indiana has truly become like a friend to me. Her hilarious and entertaining show has kept me company during mundane tasks like chores, car drop-offs, runs, and walks with my little ones. This podcast is a perfect escape for moms looking to sprinkle their long days with laughter.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the way Indiana navigates the world with joy while also being sensitive to deep longings and real-life pain. She strikes the perfect balance between light-hearted humor and addressing serious topics. Each episode is crafted with care and leaves me looking forward to the next one. Indiana's relatability and ability to connect with her audience makes her an absolute joy to listen to.

As for the worst aspects of this podcast, it's hard to find any major flaws. Some may not enjoy podcasts with only one host, but Indiana's charm and charisma make it work. Her solo episodes are engaging and she keeps the listener entertained throughout. Additionally, while some may prefer longer podcasts, I appreciate that Today By The Way keeps its episodes short and sweet, making it easy to fit into a busy mom's schedule.

In conclusion, Today By The Way is a must-listen podcast for moms (and anyone else) looking for a mix of humor, insightfulness, and relatability. Indiana Adams has created an incredible show that feels like having a conversation with your best friend. Through her voice, listeners feel seen, heard, and encouraged on their motherhood journey. I am grateful for this podcast and will continue cheering Indiana on as she continues sharing her authentic self with the world through this wonderful community she has built.

Up top: Please know that I realize that there are people in our community who practice a different faith than I do and there are others who do not ascribe to any faith traditions at all. I also know that in a community the size of ours, there are people carrying around the heartache of being hurt or abused by the church, so personal stories about Christianity can be triggering. I am deeply sorry if that is you. Please protect your heart and opt out. We’ll be back Friday with our regularly scheduled content. I’m doing this episode because… well… because people keep asking me to. Because I’m a Christian and previously and currently work for companies that served the Christian segment of our population, a lot of our listeners happen to be Christians, as well. Every time I open up the podcast for questions or do an ask me anything on Instagram Live, I’m asked how I became a Christian. I’ve been reluctant to share because I think of TBTW as a lunch date with good friends instead of a stage for a sermon. All are welcome here. No matter who you are, I’ve saved you a seat. I’ve shared this story in bits and pieces with my church and my closest friends know the details, but I’ve never shared it in a public space, despite living somewhat publicly online most of my adult life. I hope you can hear it not as my story, but rather as God’s redeeming story in my life so far. Wanna talk? I'm here. DM me on Instagram @IndianaAdams.

Today I talk about how the work of Be The Bridge changed my life forever. Writer Jerrell Everett shares her latest blog post titled “On Racism and Beautiful Black Babies” to truly help us understand why #BlackLivesMatter is important. This week’s first community challenge is to be proactive in the work to become anti-racist and to support the women who are working in this space. Our second challenge is to widen your circle, to elevate black voices, and to ask businesses to do better when it comes to representation. Can your favorite brands pass the #27PhotosChallenge?
