On the appearance day of the fascinating Avatar Narasimha — the ferocious half-man, half-lion form of Krishna — Raghunath and Kaustubha explore the life and teachings of his most celebrated devotee, Sri Prahlad, the child saint who spoke truth to power without apology, yet never bore animosity toward the person trying to destroy him. His core teaching, drawn from the Srimad Bhagavatam, is more relevant than ever: except for the uncontrolled and misguided mind, there is no enemy in this world. That's not passivity. We have received the Spirit of boldness to stand on the side of Truth. When truth is silenced, darkness grows ominously louder. Power also can be intimidating. Authority can be scary to counter. When God releases truth, we become purveyors, the very channel to release Holy life. When truth is courageously declared, hearts change, systems shift. Fear loses its grip and liberty is released. As believers we must stand full of conviction, we place a demand on Power to answer to truth. This Sunday, we lean into bold faith. Courageous conviction. Unapologetic alignment with God's word. Because real authority flows from truth. And truth never bows to lies.

John Kiriakou, from a decorated high-ranking CIA counter-terrorism chief who led the 2002 capture of al-Qaeda's Abu Zubaydah, to a federal inmate, John Kiriakou's life is a masterclass in the high cost of speaking truth to power. In 2007, he became the first CIA official to publicly confirm the agency's use of waterboarding, explicitly calling it torture—an act of whistleblowing that eventually led to him being the only person imprisoned in connection with the torture program. After serving 23 months, he reinvented himself as a sharp-witted author and commentator, hosting the Deep Focus podcast and penning books like The Reluctant Spy, and the gritty survival manual Doing Time Like a Spy, effectively using his intelligence background to critique the very systems he once served.JOHN KIRIAKOUWebsite: https://johnkiriakou.com/X: https://x.com/JohnKiriakouIG: https://www.instagram.com/realjohnkiriakou Deep Focus Podcast (YouTube): https://www.youtube.com/@DeepFocuswithJohnKiriakouDeProgram Podcast (YouTube): https://www.youtube.com/@DeProgramShowDead Drop Podcast (iTunes): https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/john-kiriakous-dead-drop/id1844905790Substack: https://johnkiriakou.substack.com/subscribeTHE RIPPLE EFFECT PODCAST:WEBSITE: http://TheRippleEffectPodcast.comWebsite Host & Video Distributor: https://ContentSafe.co/SUPPORT:PATREON: https://www.patreon.com/TheRippleEffectPodcastPayPal: https://www.PayPal.com/paypalme/RvTheory6VENMO: https://venmo.com/code?user_id=3625073915201071418&created=1663262894MERCH: Store: http://www.TheRippleEffectPodcastMerch.comTHEORY 6 MUSIC: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1w91xRlB4b2MJYyXXhJcyFSPONSORS:OPUS A.I. Today's podcast is a first for the Voice of Insurance as this is the first time I have had an interview with a sitting Lady Mayor of London. Sue Langley or, the Right Honourable, the Lady Mayor, Dame Susan Langley, DBE, to give her her full and formal title, has worked in the insurance industry for 28 years, with senior roles at Hiscox, within the Corporation of Lloyd's and latterly as Chair of the board of Gallagher UK. I have known her for over 20 of those years and throughout that time she has always been strong, direct, completely straightforward and down to earth. So that's why it was such a pleasure to meet her in her incredibly high-profile, but often misunderstood 800-year-old role. Many of us might go our whole careers working in the City of London but remaining almost wholly ignorant of the workings of some of its most longstanding institutions. So our talk demystifies what the Lord or Lady Mayor position means in 2026 and reveals how Sue discovered the path to becoming its 697th incumbent. Ostensibly an apolitical role, nonetheless the modern Mayoralty has tremendous soft influence in the corridors of power, and as the UK's effective ambassador for Financial and Professional Services, Sue gets to travel the globe representing all of us. In this podcast we will learn what's on top of Sue's agenda for her year in post and I am sure what she says will give all the insurance practitioners listening plenty of good cheer. I am also pleased to report that holding this great office hasn't changed Sue in the slightest, in fact it is Sue who is doing a lot to make the role more relatable and relevant to our times. Sue is also a physical representation of how the past decade has witnessed the Insurance sector stand up and be counted and start to take its rightful place in the Civic affairs of the City and country in which it trades. Sue certainly won't be the last Lord or Lady Mayor to be sourced from within the Insurance community and we should take a lot of encouragement from this. So listen on to what is a really informal, enjoyable and enlightening discussion. How “spaciousness” helps teams move beyond busywork — and build the conditions for honest conversation.“We're just so busy right now” is one of the most common reasons cultures don't change — and it's exactly what Megan Reitz set out to understand. In her research, she describes two modes of attention at work: doing mode, where focus narrows to tasks, control, and quick progress, and spacious mode, where attention expands, insight emerges, and real connection becomes possible.Reitz is a leadership researcher whose work explores how people speak up, listen well, and create environments where others can be heard — because, as she puts it, “how you show up affects the voices of the people around you.” When teams are anxious or rushed, attention tightens and listening gets shallow; when there's more safety and space, people can pause, widen their perspective, and make better choices together. In this Quick Thinks episode of Think Fast, Talk Smart, Reitz and host Matt Abrahams discuss why organizations get stuck in doing mode and what it takes to build spacious agility. They share practical ways to name spaciousness, strengthen psychological safety, introduce healthy dissonance (even through assigned roles like devil's advocate), and respond in ways that keep people speaking up — not shutting down.Episode Reference Links:Megan ReitzMegan's Book: Speak Out, Listen UpEp.132 Lean Into Failure: How to Make Mistakes That WorkEp.148 Conviction and Compassion: How to Have Hard Conversations Connect:Premium Signup >>>> Think Fast Talk Smart PremiumEmail Questions & Feedback >>> hello@fastersmarter.ioEpisode Transcripts >>> Think Fast Talk Smart WebsiteNewsletter Signup + English Language Learning >>> FasterSmarter.ioThink Fast Talk Smart >>> LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTubeMatt Abrahams >>> LinkedInChapters:(00:00) - Introduction (02:10) - Doing Mode vs. Spacious Mode (02:13) - Building Agility Between Modes (12:56) - Creating Psychological Safety (19:14) - Conclusion ********Thank you to our sponsors. Why it's critical to say what needs to be said — and listen when others do the same.Speak out, listen up — these are Megan Reitz's core pillars of workplace communication. According to her, healthy organizations are only possible when everyone can say what they think, and they know they'll be heard.Reitz is an academic and author whose work focuses on creating workplaces where all voices are heard and valued. Her latest book, Speak Out, Listen Up, explores the power dynamics that shape our communication at work and beyond. “Conversational habits define organizational success and our capacity to flourish,” she says. “Ethical conduct depends on what we're able to say and what we aren't, and whether we're heard or not. Innovation depends on our capacity to speak up, challenge, and disrupt, and whether that is heard or not. And of course, our engagement and our ability to perform depends on a feeling that our opinion is valued and that we're respected.”In this episode of Think Fast, Talk Smart, Reitz and host Matt Abrahams discuss how to create workplaces where every voice is heard. From her T.R.U.T.H. framework (trust, risk, understanding, titles, and how-to) to the pitfalls of communicational power dynamics, Reitz's insights reveal why healthy organizations are only possible when we all speak out and listen up.Episode Reference Links:Megan ReitzMegan's Book: Speak Out, Listen UpEp.132 Lean Into Failure: How to Make Mistakes That Work Ep.148 Conviction and Compassion: How to Have Hard Conversations Connect:Premium Signup >>>> Think Fast Talk Smart PremiumEmail Questions & Feedback >>> hello@fastersmarter.ioEpisode Transcripts >>> Think Fast Talk Smart WebsiteNewsletter Signup + English Language Learning >>> FasterSmarter.ioThink Fast Talk Smart >>> LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTubeMatt Abrahams >>> LinkedInChapters:(00:00) - Introduction (02:21) - The TRUTH Framework (05:32) - Status, Titles, and Voice (09:21) - Power Traps For Leaders (14:06) - Mindful Leadership = Habit Change (18:35) - The Final Three Questions (25:46) - Conclusion ********Thank you to our sponsors. Making a whip of cords, he drove all of them out of the temple, with the sheep and the cattle. He also poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.. ~John 2:15 Have you ever seen Jesus this mad? He is livid! All four gospels record the story of Jesus driving the animals out of the temple and overturning the tables of the money changers. But in Matthew, Mark, and Luke, Jesus cleans out the temple after Palm Sunday, just before his death. He has listened to religious leaders take their jabs at him for months, trying to find ways to trap and discredit him. I understand his anger then. He makes a whip, overturns tables, pours out coins, and runs the sheep and cattle out of the temple. It makes sense there. The people haven't listened to Jesus. He sees the path to the cross in front of him. His actions force the religious leaders' hand. But John tells us about it at the beginning of the Gospel, right after Jesus has left a wedding party where he turned water into wine! He hasn't said anything to anyone yet. They don't really know what he is up to yet. But he clears the merchants out of the temple anyway. And is he mad! Why? That is the question we will explore on Sunday morning.
In this episode of Uncommon Sense, I continue confronting the mess America is in: why the Epstein list must be made public, why powerful elites must be held accountable, and why endless foreign entanglements only weaken our already weak nation. I address (once again) the need for real justice for Charlie Kirk, reiterate my support for Candace Owens, and challenge Christians to remember Who we are called to worship, Jesus Christ. God is not interchangeable with politics, and your faith should never be outsourced to the state. Read. The. Bible.--https://www.bible.com/

Today's episode is a necessary and honest conversation. We're talking about why Candace Owens deserves continued support as she pushes for transparency and truth surrounding what really happened to Charlie Kirk, especially in a time when blind trust in federal institutions like the FBI, or figures such as Kash Patel, is no longer reasonable or wise.I'll also share my candid thoughts on AmFest so far, what I'm observing beneath the surface, and why conservatives need to be paying closer attention to who holds influence within our own movements. We'll discuss why TPUSA and Christian organizations must be protected from ideological and religious subversion, why preserving the integrity of our faith-based institutions matters, and why Americans must be willing to have uncomfortable conversations about foreign influence (including Israeli influence) within our government, without fear of censorship or character assassination. At the core of this episode is one foundational truth: free speech and religious freedom are our most important rights. If we lose either, we lose the ability to defend the other. These rights must be protected not just for ourselves, but for everyone, especially those we disagree with. This is about truth, courage, and refusing to surrender our principles for comfort and/or approval.--https://www.bible.com/
In Part 2 of our conversation with Democracy Out Loud co-founder Karen Ziegler, we delve deeper into the fight against gerrymandering in North Carolina and what's truly at stake for CD1, the historic Black Belt district that encompasses every Black-majority county in the state. Karen breaks down how North Carolina votes 50-50 but ends up with deeply unequal representation, and why the attempt to eliminate Black representation in Congress is not just unconstitutional but morally unconscionable. But this episode isn't just about maps and power grabs. It's about why Karen keeps showing up, keeps getting thrown out of the General Assembly, and keeps fighting. She shares what drives her moral center, how spiritual practice sustains activism, and why she believes we're part of an unstoppable movement for justice even when the house built on genocide and slavery needs to fall down around us.Support the showFollow us on all your favorite platforms! Two million views later, "racist maps make racist reps" became a rallying cry against North Carolina's latest gerrymander.Mark Swallow leads Democracy Out Loud's Legislative Response Team, the organizers who show up every week to be the voice for North Carolinians who can't take time off work to testify. When the GOP advanced another map designed to help Donald Trump gain another congressional seat, Mark and his team made their voices heard the only way they could: from the gallery. In this episode, Mark shares what it felt like when the whole room stood with them, why getting kicked out "always feels good," and what keeps him going after nine years of this work. There's more going on in that infamous Republicans groupchat than most realize but the real issue isn't the gossip, it's how easily people trade conviction for comfort. In this episode, we talk about the growing weakness on the Right, the danger of valuing offense over free speech, and why all of our rights must be protected at all costs. We'll also cover more updates on the Charlie Kirk case and how Trump's failures in his second term (including his refusal to release the Epstein list and his submission to Israel) prove that no man should ever be placed where only God belongs.--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee

It's not unusual to see Socceroo Jackson Irvine characterised as a "different character" in the football world. It might be the hipster aesthetic, his love of fashion or his passion for matters beyond the pitch. He has been an avid campaigner for LGBTQI+ rights and a leader inside his club and out. Now, with his re-election to a global players union, we ask him about speaking truth to power. He talks about the Qatar World Cup protest video, whether anything is planned for the 2026 tournament and the awkward scenario that played out at his German club, St Pauli. Mentors: climate change is hopeless—at least, that's the message many young scientists are hearing from the people they were told to admire. But what if giving up isn't the only option? In this episode, I respond to a heartfelt email from a marine science student who refuses to stay silent, even when senior scientists tell her that solutions to climate change are naive, misguided, or politically inconvenient. Mentors: climate change is hopeless may be the mantra of a tired system, but this generation of scientists has grown up under the weight of ecological crisis—and they're ready to do something about it. I share concrete advice for early-career changemakers who want to be bold, build community, speak truth to power, and help people understand real climate solutions despite institutional apathy. Michael and Stephen discuss the significant influence of the Episcopal Church on national religious ceremonies in the United States, questioning why a declining denomination holds such power. They explore the implications of speaking truth to power, particularly in the context of religious leaders addressing political figures. The discussion also delves into the challenges and responsibilities of Christians in politics, emphasizing the need for integrity and authenticity. Finally, they consider potential changes to how national religious events are conducted, advocating for a more inclusive representation of diverse denominations. Takeaways: The Episcopal Church's influence on national ceremonies is disproportionate to its size. There is a need for a broader representation of denominations in national religious events. Speaking truth to power can be a double-edged sword, requiring wisdom and discernment. Christians in politics face unique challenges and must navigate their faith in a self-promoting environment. The importance of caring for the underprivileged is a common ground for many religious leaders. Historical context is crucial in understanding the current religious landscape in America. The conversation highlights the need for integrity among Christian leaders in political spaces. There is a call for a shift in how national religious ceremonies are conducted to reflect a more diverse representation. Mansfield emphasize the importance of teaching history rather than erasing it. Engagement in politics can lead to significant change, especially for younger generations.
