What do Shamanism and Energetics have to do with everyday life in a modern world? How does the ancient wisdom of shamanism and the modern practice of energy healing transform your well-being? What if it can empower you to create a life of balance and harmony? I have found that being willing and open to embrace new thought models are the very thing that moves me into the life I desire to create for myself and my family. Our beliefs shape our physical well being. Our physical health. We have the capacity to reprogram ourselves into a state of physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Which is why I have the perfect guest this week to dive into this subject. Sarah Beth Green is a shamanic energy healer at the Yarning Shaman who works with individuals who want to unlock and understand their own individual gifts and energy body and connect more deeply with indigenous wisdom. In this episode, I introduce you to modern day Shaman who uses her training and gifts associated with the movement of energy through your body, your environment, and beyond to help you align yourself with the rhythms of a life lived with less dis-ease. You will learn: How your beliefs and thoughts are stored in places in your body, not just your mind. About the power you innately hold to create and control your inner and outer world. What the role of energy healing and shamanism is in identifying and clearing stored experiences and trauma. How the intuitive nature of energy medicine and its benefits can calm the nervous system through trauma release. How to pay attention to energetics in your home and body to tune into your intuitive feelings about your surroundings. How to support your children's health by surrounding them with natural elements and fibers. Supporting their sensitivity and relationship to their natural form. Sarah shares with us how, traditionally, we are born with a feeling of needing to serve a purpose, without even consciously knowing it. Those feelings can often be poured into surrounding ourselves with stuff and experiences. Feeling restlessness in your soul. Searching for the calming of your nervous system. Bridging the realms of shamanism, energy healing, and everyday life can hold the key to the transformation that your heart has been craving. My friend, please remember that we are worthy of pure, whole health. Our illnesses and our struggles and our obstacles do not define us, but that beautiful light from which we emanate from is our worthiness, where we find strength and self-love and over encompassing love. For the complete show notes, head over to the episode webpage.

This week on the podcast I interview Keri Kalmbach and we're going to talk about the what might be the next greatest thing to transform RV and Vanlife travel. If you're an RVer, you know that one of the biggest issues can be finding decent cell service or wifi to connect to while you're traveling. Starlink could be the solution we've all been waiting for. Starlink is a system that allows you to connect to the internet via satellite, rather than via a cell tower or wifi signal. Starlink was created by Elon Musk, the same guy who brought us Tesla electric cars. It's still relatively new technology and is in the beta phase. The first iteration of Starlink only worked from a set location, but just this month, they turned on a Roaming feature, that now makes it a more feasible option for RVers. Our guest today Keri is a scientist who has done a lot of her own personal research on Starlink. At first she wasn't totally impressed, because the technology didn't work within a few miles of her home. She was about to sell her unit, when the roaming feature became available. We got together for a quick chat to go over all the features and benefits of Starlink for Rvers and some reasons why it might not be the best solution for you. Key Takeaways about what we know about Starlink: 1. Roaming was recently turned on, so this may be a better option for RVers right now. 2. It's currently in Beta, so things could change 3. You will need more power to run Starlink than traditional cell phone wifi. 4. You'll need room for the dish in your RV as well. 5. It's not cheap because you need to buy a $550 dish and pay a little over $100/month for service but if you need the internet when you travel 6. But overall the speed is quite impressive and should meet the capacity of most Rvers. This week, in our Summer Series, is a throwback to a conversation between Dr Darren Iselin, CSA's Director for Research and Innovation, and Dr Beth Green, who is currently Provost and Chief Academic Officer of Tyndale University, Fellow of the Royal Society and a Senior Fellow and former Director of Education at Cardus, a faith-based think tank in Canada. In this episode, Darren and Beth have a robust and insightful discussion about the importance of evidence in a quality improvement school agenda, and why it underscores the deep need to measure what we value in the current educational climate. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this episode the first time around and just know that I'll get even more out of it this time. I hope you do too. Enjoy!
If you live in Pennsylvania or one of the surrounding six states, you've likely pulled into a Sheetz Gas Station not to get gas, but to order & eat food. That's right high-quality quick serve food customized to your preferences. Sheetz pioneered this "made to order" quick-serve style food in a gas station. On this week's episode of Agile Giants Mary Beth Green shares her experiences building a team and putting an innovation process that is working to re-invent the category again.
On this episode of ‘Horizon 2020' Darren Iselin talks with Dr Beth Green, who is currently Provost and Chief Academic Officer of Tyndale University, Fellow of the Royal Society and a Senior Fellow and former Director of Education at Cardus, a faith-based think tank in Canada. The importance of evidence in a quality improvement school agenda underscores why it is so important to measure what we value in the current educational climate. Landmark studies including the Cardus Education Survey seek to provide a holistic and comprehensive tool for measuring graduate outcomes and provide a mirror for schools to gather meaningful data on their programs and practice. Beth will explore how such surveys can be powerfully used to improve our Christian school communities and also highlights other exciting new projects and initiatives that seek to measure faith formation and development within our Christian schools. Beth's wisdom, experience and intellect will inspire our thinking regarding research and gathering data on the things that matter most to our Christian school communities.

In this conversation, I get to talk data, a decade of Cardus Education Survey results (www.cardus.ca/research/education/), and the impact of religious schools in particular Protestant Evangelical schools with Beth Green. We both love data, research, and our profession, which I think comes out in the conversation. However, the question in the title comes from the end of the conversation where I ask Beth a question that many of my friends, family members, and other parents have asked me over the past decade. Beth Green is a Senior Fellow in Education for Cardus (www.cardus.ca), and formerly Program Director of Cardus Education. She is also Visiting Professor: Research, Integration, and Educational Formation at Tyndale University College in Toronto. Beth is a former high school history teacher who has worked in both government and non-government schools in the UK.
