The Baltimore Ravens have undergone some significant changes this offseason, notably the loss of Defensive Coordinator Mike Macdonald. Under Macdonald, the Ravens' defense was a top-three unit in terms of EPA per play, excelling with a "positionless" defense that confused opposing quarterbacks. Despite a low blitz rate, they led the league in sacks. Stepping in as the new defensive coordinator is Zach Orr, a first-time play caller who has been with the organization since 2014, first as a player and then as a defensive coach. On the offensive line, the Ravens face challenges after losing guards Kevin Zeitler and John Simpson, as well as right tackle Morgan Moses. The team has opted not to bring in free agents, choosing instead to promote from within. Ken discusses what the offensive line might look like, including the potential impact of second-round pick Roger Rosengarten. The Ravens' offense, led by Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken, seems confident in its pass-catching options despite losing Odell Beckham Jr. and making few offseason additions. One notable addition is Tez Walker, a fourth-round draft pick. Ken explores whether the Ravens might use more 12 personnel in 2024, given their depth at tight end with Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely, who impressed during Andrews' injury last season.
Alan Seslowsky of RotoWire and Jason Allwine of Player Profiler identify the best rookies you can that have league-winning upside on your dynasty football team.
Tez Walker's last 18 months have been a whirlwind, to put it mildly. After transferring to UNC from Kent State, then having the NCAA steal a third of his season in Chapel Hill, the wideout from Charlotte now finds himself in Baltimore, preparing to catch passes from Lamar Jackson with the Ravens. Walker took a break from his busy summer to join Tommy Ashley and Joey Powell for a brand new episode of The 40 Club. The three discuss everything from Walker's first experience with football, smack-talk, being humbled, and living a realized dream. While fans may think they know Tez's story, they'll likely come away from this show having gained a new rooting interest in the NFL. It's time for the 2024 NFL Draft, with Round 1 action tonight. Where will North Carolina QB Drake Maye end up going? Will it be No. 2 to the Commanders or No. 3 to the Patriots? Orrrrr…surprise, does he wind up in Minnesota or elsewhere with a team trading up? Where will the fortunes lie for Tez Walker and Cedric Gray? Will they be off the board on Day 2 or Day 3? Looking toward next year, the questions will focus around who replaces Maye between Max Johnson or Conner Harrell, but PFF's Max Chadwick suggests that the big thing to remember is Omarion Hampton in the backfield. Steelers Depot's Alex Kozora joins the "Bleav in Steelers" show with host Mark Bergin to discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers' plan for the quarterback position in 2024. Kozora believes Kenny Pickett will compete for the team's starting quarterback position with another veteran like Mason Rudolph or Ryan Tannehill. Pickett will likely get the first opportunity to start in 2024. The guys discuss the role new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith will play in the development of the quarterback position. They also talk about which teams the Steelers could potentially compete for in a trade for Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields. Bergin explains why he doesn't think many teams want to trade for Fields, and how that could diminish what the Bears get in return for him. The guys also talk about possible destinations for Kirk Cousins and Russell Wilson. Next, the guys share some of the key standouts at the 2024 NFL Combine. The Steelers hold the 20th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Here are rookie players discussed who participated in the combine: Center: Jackson Powers-Johnson and Zach Frazier Wide receiver: Rome Odunze, Brian Thomas, Adonai Mitchell, Xavier Worthy, Tez Walker, Keon Coleman, Ladd McConkey Cornerback: Nate Wiggins, Quinyon Mitchell and Terrion Arnold Linebacker: Payton Wilson and Edgerrin Cooper Kozora also discussed safeties due to become free agents, including Mike Edwards, Julian Blackmon and Kamren Curl. Last, the guys shared whether they think the Steelers should pick up Najee Harris' fifth-year option, and how they could restructure Cameron Heyward's contract. The @024 NFL Combine has come and gone. Host Jeff Lloyd is joined by The OBR's Pete Smith to break down the wide receivers, running back, and offensive lineman all positions of need for the Cleveland Browns. Tez Walker and Keon Coleman are guys who could be targets for Andrew Berry. Audric Estime's 40 time was not great but his jumps were solid and his tape is still highlighted with success that should translate to the pro level. The Browns need to start thinking about the future of their offensive line room, luckily this class offers a ton of talent on both the interior and exterior. eBay Motors For parts that fit, head to eBay Motors and look for the green check. Donnelly also breaks down some of the players in the Senior Bowl and how they can stand out, including Tez Walker, Cedric Gray, Payton Wilson, Dewayne Carter, and others.

In this episode, Couz is joined by Andrew Johnson from @TarHeelIllustrated to preview the upcoming Duke's Mayo Bowl between the North Carolina Tar Heels of the ACC, and the West Virginia Mountaineers out of the Big 12. The guys will talk about key players who will miss the game for each team. They will also talk about players to watch and where each team may have an advantage. They will also cover the mood around each program going into the game and will even touch on conference realignment at the emd of the show. With North Carolina's star quarterback, Drake Maye, and receiver Tez Walker opting out of the bowl game to prepare for the NFL Draft, the Tar Heels will rely on freshmen quarterback Conner Harrell and 1,400 yard rusher, Omarion Hampton, to pick up the slack and lead the UNC team into battle. They will face a West Virginia defense led by consensus All-American cornerback, Beanie Bishop, who leads the nation in pass breakups. For the Mountaineers, their offense will be missing less pieces. Quarterback Garrett Greene will lead WVU, but as usual, Neal Brown's squad will rely heavily on the best rushing attack in the country. Even though their leading rusher, C.J. Donaldson will miss the game with an injury, freshmen phenom Jahiem White is more than capable of carrying the load. White rushed for over 700 yards on the year for the Mountaineers. Greene will also factor into the WVU running attack. The Tar Heel defense will be led by Kaimon Rucker, who has 56 tackles and 8.5 sacks on the season for Mack Brown's Tar Heels. Which one of these 8-4 teams will get their ninth win of the season? Listen to Couz and Andrew break the game down and then I'll let you decide. #wvufootball #uncfootball #collegefootballbowlgames #collegefootball

Dan Lust, Conduct Detrimental Sports, joined Adam Gold to discuss a federal judge in West Virginia issuing a temporary restraining order, that would allow all second-time transfers that have been restricted, lifting the restraining order he set. Locally, we saw a similar situation to this with UNC wide receiver Tez Walker. Dan discussed what might have led to this and what it means for student-athletes.
In this edition of the podcast, Anthony and Josh chat about the Tar Heels heading to the Duke's Mayo Bowl for the second time in three years, Tez Walker's decision to go pro and sit out the bowl game and what has happened so far in the portal for the program.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Can the Hurricanes continue to establish their dominant running game?Host Alex Donno and Locked On Tar Heels host Isaac Shade cross over on this episode to discuss the top storyline for each team, the keys to victory, and their predictions. Locked On Canes - Daily Podcast On Miami Hurricanes Football & Basketball
The Miami Hurricanes are favored by 20 points against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday night. Host Alex Donno offers his keys to the game for the Canes. If Miami can run the football effectively, win the turnover margin, make the Rambling Wreck offense one dimensional, cut down on the penalties and not OVERLOOK their opponent, the Hurricanes should win comfortably. Donno brings up an interesting tactic that Miami is using to make sure their offensive players improve their ball security. ESPN is sending top personality Stephen A. Smith to cover the game and appear on the ACC Network pregame show. Donno explains why he likes a little bit of national attention despite Miami's “us against the world” mentality. Elsewhere in the ACC, the NCAA has finally decided to grant North Carolina's WR Tez Walker a waiver to play this season. He will be back in time to face Miami next weekend.
