Also, thanks for the mp3s, they downloaded perfectly! I honestly don’t know that many Celtic music artists. That’s the main reason I subscribed to the podcast, to find more artists. I do enjoy Celtic music, but don’t know too much about it. From what I’ve heard so far, your podcasts are super informative, and I love getting to hear all this music! If I had to choose a Celtic artist, I’d probably say either Celtic Woman or Loreena McKennitt, though I’m not sure if the latter is technically considered Celtic. Either way, this podcast is a great way to expand my growing interest in the music of Ireland. Thank you for giving me this opportunity! Sláinte!" David Strei emailed photos: "Marc, Been listening to your podcast since it started. Some of my favorite artists include the Gothard Sisters, Celtic Squall, the Rogues, and a lot of your music. Today I’m carving spoons while listening to your podcast. Attached is a picture of a spoon in progress and several that are complete." Senachie Cummings emailed a photo: "Hi Marc, I am a patron and have been a devoted fan for many years.  Currently, I mostly listen to your podcast while I am doing cooking projects.  I usually prepare some food items to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, but did not this year  due to the novel coronavirus, so here is a photo of the dessert that I served for St. Patrick’s Day in 2019.  It is supposed to look like pints of Guinness but is actually Guinness Chocolate Cake with Baileys Cream Cheese Frosting.  I baked the cake directly in the pint glasses.  Thanks again for all your efforts.  Keep up the great work and stay safe!"

I am a Ships Captain and come from Scourie (pronounced SCOWRIE) just up the coast from the Isle of Skye. I presently supervise the shipbuilding of the world’s largest stainless steel chemical tankers in Shanghai China.   Just small enough to squeeze through the “old” Panama canal. ( 600 foot long and 106 foot wide) I could not help but smile when I listened to your discussions regarding the Skye midges which you encountered last summer. They are at their worst when peat cutting in the highlands. I discovered your podcast last March when I decided to try and change my lifestyle after my best friend died from a heart attack.  Thanks to your great selection of music which I listen to every morning/night as I speed walk the 40 minutes from my Chinese home to the shipyard.  I have now lost 20Kg ( 20% of my original body weight) and got my general health in order.  I am now completing marathons instead of lying on the sofa drinking beer.   Hope your daughter is recovering after her operation Thank you Marc....keep up the great work, I have found many new bands to listen to by purchasing their music. If you love acoustic Celtic music, you will find no better place to find great Celtic music than at Renaissance Festivals. Yes, I know the Celts had nothing to do with the "Renaissance", but Celtic music is one of the most-popular musical styles found at Ren faires. It's one of the last places where you can find true folk music without electric instruments or drum kits. Today, you'll hear a lot of great Celtic songs and a few tunes from Sarah Marie Mullen, The Poxy Boggards, Kilted Kings, Abby Green, Andrew McKee, The Ravens, 3 Pints Gone, Grey Aengus, Shillelagh!, Celtic Squall, Alabannach, The New Minstrel Revue, Cantiga, Minstrosity, Bounding Main, Lost Boys, Three Quarter Ale. Do you support Celtic music, then subscribe to our Celtic Music Magazine. This is our free newsletter and your guide to the latest Celtic music and podcast news.
