To answer your question about what episode and when it was that Niamh told this story, it was is in show #552: Reel Fairies, and her story starts around the 47:53 mark. It's totally worth a re - listen; she is so funny. Also wow, yep, that episode was almost two years ago. Time flies!" Patrick Rieger sent Some More Irish Pictures: "Hello Marc, A few more photos to share. First up, a few of Terry Griffith, the last few times he was on a stage with an in - person audience at Mullaney's Harp and Fiddle. One is from the 2020 fundraiser for the Pittsburgh Saint Patrick's Day Parade on February 13, 2020, and another is from his gig on February 28, 2020. Within a few weeks, the words Covid and Coronavirus quickly became part of our daily vocabulary, and the shows came to an end for a couple of years. On June 4, 2022, we had a retirement party for Terry. The best part of the night is when he strapped on a guitar and led the packed pub in A Health to the Company. There were tears and cheers for him throughout the evening, but most came during that special song. The last photo is from tonight, January 27, 2024. John McCann on acoustic guitar and Hamish on percussion packed the Harp & Fiddle. Lots of great music and an interactive audience.”

Hello, music lovers! Welcome to another exciting edition of My Music. I'm Graham Coath, and today I have the pleasure of sharing with you my recent interview with the incredibly talented singer-songwriter, Rachael Bawn. Sit back, relax, and join me as we dive into Rachael's inspiring journey in the world of music. Exploring TikTok and Finding a Lane: During our conversation, Rachael opened up about her venture into the world of TikTok. She shared that the initial push to join the platform came from friends and mentors who believed it could bring her exposure. Rachael explained that while she initially struggled to find her footing, the experience allowed her to explore different musical avenues and connect with her family through heartwarming duets. Despite the challenges and a feeling of burnout, Rachael recognises the importance of finding one's unique lane within the vast world of social media. The Search for Meaningful Music: As we delved deeper into Rachael's musical influences, she highlighted the significance of storytelling in her songwriting. Drawing inspiration from artists like Elton John and the timeless classics from the 70s and 80s, Rachael aimed to create music that resonates with people on a deeper level. She emphasised the importance of lyrics that evoke emotions and connect with listeners. Through her own experiences and growth as a songwriter, Rachael recognised the power of writing from a place that is genuine and meaningful. The Vocal Journey and Embracing Growth: Rachael also shared her journey as a vocalist, which involved seeking guidance from a vocal coach to refine her technique and develop her unique sound. She expressed the importance of continuously learning and honing her craft, acknowledging that singing is a muscle that requires practice and care. Rachael's experience exemplifies the significance of embracing growth and working with mentors who can help artists reach their full potential. Navigating the Challenges of the Music Business: One aspect of the music industry that Rachael candidly discussed was the business side of being an artist. Admitting her initial struggles in this realm, Rachael emphasised the necessity of building a strong team and finding the right people who can handle the business aspects. She acknowledged that trusting oneself and taking control of artistic decisions are crucial steps towards success. Rachael's journey serves as a reminder that artists should not underestimate their own instincts and abilities. Looking Ahead to 2024: As we wrapped up our conversation, Rachael shared her excitement for the future. Having recently embarked on her independent artist journey, Rachael is exploring new sounds and allowing herself to express personal experiences through her music. She aims to strike a balance between her message-driven compositions and songs that convey emotion and connection. With a renewed focus and a strong team to support her, Rachael Bawn is set to break new ground in the music industry. Rachael Bawn's musical journey is one of passion, growth, and self-discovery. From her exploration of TikTok to her commitment to meaningful storytelling, Rachael's dedication to her craft shines through her music. As she navigates the challenges of the music industry, Rachael's resilience and determination serve as an inspiration to aspiring artists. With her renewed focus and dedication to her artistry, we eagerly anticipate the release of new music and the continued growth of Rachael Bawn as a talented singer-songwriter. Stay tuned for more updates and be sure to follow her incredible journey. #MyMusic #Interview #Podcast

This episode is a recording of Karan Casey's keynote presentation at the close of the conference of the European Music Therapy Confederation in Edinburgh, 8-12 June 2022. Karan talked about songs and social justice, arts practice research, and about her own life and experiences as a performer and campaigner on social issues. She performed a number of songs as part of the presentation, and then had a conversation with Luke Annesley to explore these issues further. It was an inspiring ending to a varied and exciting conference. About Karan: Singing songs charged with a sense of social responsibility in a career spanning over 25 years Karan Casey has released eleven albums as well as contributing to numerous other artists' projects – appearing on more than 50 albums in total. She has toured extensively throughout North America, Europe and Japan, performing with her own band as well as collaborating with such diverse musicians as Maura O'Connell, James Taylor, Bela Fleck, Boston Pops Orchestra, Kate Ellis, Niall Vallely, Pauline Scanlon, The Chieftains, The Dubliners, Peggy Seeger, Karen Matheson, Mick Flannery, Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin, Tim O'Brien, Solas and Lúnasa. In 2018 Karan helped found FairPlé which is an organization aimed at achieving fairness and gender balance for female performers in Irish traditional and folk musics. Karan tours with her band Niamh Dunne, Sean Óg Graham and Niall Vallely. Karan's most recent album Hieroglyphs That Tell the Tale was released on the Vertical Records Label. Her song “Down in the Glen” was nominated for Best Original Folk Song at the RTE Folk Awards 2019 and she completed a PhD in music in 2019. Karan has recently performed her new show with Director Sophie Motley called I Walked into My Head which was premiered at the Kilkenny Arts Festival 2021. Karan is currently working on a new stage show to be produced at the Everyman Theatre in Cork in early 2023 as well as an album of new songs about women in the Irish revolutionary period. Please note: As we are awaiting permission to include the performance of 'The King's Shilling' in this episode, here is a YouTube link to Karan's studio version of the song. Reviews of Karan's music: "Karan Casey's latest album is revelatory. She's always been a singer of songs that tell a story and show their muscle…This is a strikingly three-dimensional work that stands the test of intensive and repeated listening with ease. A vivid and dazzling snapshot of Casey invincible, at the height of her powers.” Siobhán Long, Irish Times “Casey's voice is among the loveliest in folk music and she's a wonderful interpreter of both contemporary and traditional material.” BOSTON GLOBE “Karan Casey's latest solo venture is a thing of rare beauty.” SING OUT "The most soulful singer to emerge in Irish traditional music in the past decade." THE GLASGOW HERALD “If ever any doubt existed about who's the best Irish traditional woman singer today, "Exiles Return" sweeps aside all pretenders…Karan Casey has no vocal peer.” IRISH ECHO Songs Siúil a Rúin (trad.) Don't hire with any master till you know what your work will be You will rise up early from the clear day light till the dawn and you never will be able for to plough the Rocks of Bawn. Rise up, gallant Sweeney, and give your horse some hay And give them a good feed of oats before they stray away Don't feed them on soft turnip put them out on your green lawn Or they never will be able for to plough the Rocks of Bawn. My curse upon you, Sweeney boy, you have me nearly robbed You're sitting by the fireside with your dúidín in your gob You're sitting by the fireside now from clear daylight till the dawn And you never will be able for to plough the Rocks of Bawn My shoes they are worn and my stockings they are thin My heart is always trembling for fear they might give in My heart is always trembling from the clear daylight till the dawn And I never will be able for to plough the Rocks of Bawn. I wish the Queen of England she would call for me in time And place me in some regiment all in my youth and prime I'd fight for Ireland's glory from the clear daylight till dawn And I never would return again to plough the Rocks of Bawn. Ballad of Accounting In the morning we built the city In the afternoon walked through its streets Evening saw us leaving We wandered through our days as if they would never e All of us imagined we had endless time to spend We hardly saw the crossroads And small attention gave To landmarks on the journey from the cradle to the grave, cradle to the grave, cradle to the grave Did you learn to dream in the morning? Abandon dreams in the afternoon? Wait without hope in the evening? Did you stand there in the traces and let them feed you lies? Did you trail along behind them wearing blinkers on your eyes? Did you kiss the foot that kicked you? Did you thank them for their scorn? Did you ask for their forgiveness for the act of being born, act of being born, act of being born? Did you alter the face of the city? Did you make any change in the world you found? Or did you observe all the warnings? Did you read the trespass notices did you keep off the grass? Did you shuffle off the pavement just to let your betters pass? Did you learn to keep your mouth shut, Were you seen and never heard? Did you learn to be obedient and jump to at a word, jump to at a word, jump to at a word? Did you ever demand any answers? The who, the what or the reason why? Did you ever question the setup? Did you stand aside and let them choose while you took second best? Did you let them skim the cream off and then give to you the rest? Did you settle for the shoddy? Did you think it right To let them rob you right and left and never make a fight, never make a fight, never make a fight? What did you learn in the morning? How much did you know in the afternoon? Were you content in the evening? Did they teach you how to question when you were at the school? Did the factory help you grow, were you the maker or the tool? Did the place where you were living Enrich your life and then Did you reach some understanding of all your fellow men, all your fellow men, all your fellow men? I'm Still Standing Here See these lines upon my face They're a map of where I've been In the deep they are traced a deeper life has settled in How do we survive living out our lives I wouldn't trade a line make it smooth or fine Or pretend that time stands still I want to rest my soul here where it can grow without fear Another line another year I'm still standing here See these marks upon my skin They're the lyric of my life Every story that begins Means another ends in sight Only lover's understand Skin just covers who I am I wouldn't trade a line make it smooth or fine Or pretend that time stands still I want to rest my soul here where it can grow without fear Another line another year I'm still standing here See these bruises see these scars Hieroglyphs that tell the tale You can read them in the dark Through your fingertips like braille I wouldn't trade a line make it smooth or fine Or pretend that time stands still I want to rest my soul here where it can grow without fear Another line another year I'm still standing here

Independent Thinking - Exploring a new era for retail and the high street
Our first guest of the series is a special to coincide with COP 26, the UN Climate Change Conference which, if you're listening to this on the day of release, started yesterday in Glasgow. So, who better to talk to than a business based in the city, which has sustainability at its heart. Today we're speaking to Bevan from Bawn - an ethical textile atelier in Glasgow's Southside, a place where you can find sustainably made, ethically sourced fabrics and textiles. Bevan is a huge believer in the local high street, and that some things are made to experience in person - particularly when it comes to something as tactile as textiles - a belief that began in her earlier days working in a haberdashery in her home city of Dublin. We talk to founder Bevan about how she brought her training from the world of museums into the world of retail, how she supports customers to navigate the ever more complicated world of ‘shopping ethically' and how she has led a group of like-minded individuals to create her own, unique response to COP 26 - creating something which shows how much more can be achieved when we pull together, as she tells us about the project, Cop Twenty Stitch. Enjoy! Support the show

Haha" Jeremy Holt emailed from Nashville, TN: "Love the pod cast working on Gibson guitars while listening" John Mahony emailed: "Hi Mark, I’ve listened for quite a while and even went back to listen to the early episodes to see what I’d missed! I enjoy the music, and thanks for taking the time and effort to put this together every week! There wasn’t a specific link to email you with my vote for the picture, but I liked the traditional Irish one better than the Americanized Halloween image. Sorry, since I know you put some effort into making that image, but that’s it. Have you heard of Emma Langford? She’s brilliant and would be a great addition to the podcast some day. I could send you a picture of me in front of my Zoom green screen, but it would be rather boring, I think."

On July 28, 2005, the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast was born from my love of Celtic music. I had been cultivating that love through my Celtic Music Magazine which featured album reviews and free Celtic MP3 downloads from many of the bands on this podcast. The podcast quickly overtook the magazine in popularity. I had three main goals when I created this show. First, to help indie Celtic bands find new fans. Second, to give Celtic music fans a free, easily downloadable show where they could enjoy the music of their cultural heritage. Third, I wanted a Celtic radio show that was focused on the music. What's that phrase: "Less talk, more music". But I wanted it to be true. So I have long sets and usually short breaks where I share news and feedback. There are a bunch of additional reasons, including a latent desire to be a DJ. I'll tell you more about it later. In the meantime, I want to share with you some of the best Celtic music featured in the podcast over the past ten years. Every month, I host the Celtic Top 20 where I ask you to vote for your favorite songs in each episode of the podcast. I've done this since almost the first year. That's how I created this show. It's the songs that fans of the podcast voted for over the last ten years. I just went in and cut down ten hours of music to a meer three hours. I hope you will celebrate your love of Celtic music with me and these amazing Celtic bands with music from The Tea Merchants, Heather Alexander, The McDades, Colleen Raney & Colm MacCarthaigh, Jamie Laval and Ashley Broder, Clandestine, Athas, Sligo Rags, Navan, Jimi McRae And Sam Okoo, Heather Dale, Hawp, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Round the House in the first hour. You'll hear The Elders, Mary Knickle, Kennedy’s Kitchen, Tara MacKenzie, Fiddler’s Green, Rising Gael, Rambling Sailors, Bow Triplets, Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer, Poitin, Ockham’s Razor, Gwilym Morus, LabGraal, The Selkie Girls in the second hour. Then we'll finish the show with Derek Warfield & The Young Wolfe Tones, Maidens IV, The Gothard Sisters, The Killdares, Tullamore, Marc Gunn, Across the Pond, Anne Roos, Holly Kirby, Molly Bauckham, Tallymoore, Samantha Gillogly & Tim Maurice, Stout Pounders, Rathkeltair, Black 47, The Rogues, Flashpoint. Email us at garyandruth@celticmythpodshow.com, or call us using Speakpipe The First Shoots of Spring by James Olin Oden Samhain's March: A Winter's Journey James Olin Oden is singer/songwriter of Celtic and Americana music out of Raleigh, NC. Does it move the heart or cause the foot to stomp? If so, then James Olin Oden plays it. With me it's always been about what moves the heart. The songs I sing are compelling stories whose telling must be told over and over again. The stories range from dark acts that should not be forgotten to the silly revelries that we should never forsake. My hope is that as my heart is moved by the music so too may yours be moved. Sláinte Mhór...James James Olin Oden plays Vocals, Classical Guitar, Bodhran, Bones, & Whistles. We are privileged to bring you his superb track, The First Shoots of Spring, which comes from the album, Samhain's March. You can find out more about James on his website or on his Contributor Page. The Trooping Fairies & the Tale of Frank Martin by W. B. Yeats W. B. Yeats (1865-1939) This superb and charming piece comes from an anthology of Irish folklore, edited by W. B. Yeats in 1888 called Fairy and Folk Tales of the Irish Peasantry. Many of these stories are from books which are archived at this site; some are from books which have yet to be converted to etext or now-rare source material. He selected many of the best (and often funniest) tales from other writers such as Lady Wilde, Croker, Lover, Hyde, and Carelton. Yeats wrote introductory material and notes to many of these stories. William Butler Yeats was an Irish poet and one of the foremost figures of 20th century literature. A pillar of both the Irish and British literary establishments, in his later years he served as an Irish Senator for two terms. Yeats was born and educated in Dublin, but spent his childhood in County Sligo. He studied poetry in his youth and from an early age was fascinated by both Irish legends and the occult. Those topics feature in the first phase of his work, which lasted roughly until the turn of the 20th century. His earliest volume of verse was published in 1889 and those slow-paced and lyrical poems display debts to Edmund Spenser, Percy Bysshe Shelley, and the Pre-Raphaelite poets. sheeogue sidheóg deenee shee daoine sidhe Book of Armagh Tuatha De Danān slooa-shee sheagh sidhe Marcra shee daoine maithe lepra-caun Ballisodare Plain-a-Bawn pooka A brief sample of "A Pretty Maid Milking her Cow" by Black Dog Boonzy can be heard in this piece, as can two harp pieces by Turlough O'Carolan played by Darren Raleigh (see below). Another brief sample of the pipes heard in the ancient tune of "Lough Erne Shore" by Andy Irvine and Paul Brady can also be heard where mentioned in the text. You can find the full text of the book on the Sacred Texts website and this piece at Trooping Fairies. The Rabbit Song by S. J. Tucker Blessings Fans of all ages come to see SJ Tucker for more than just the stories she weaves into her songwriting -- her musical talents are second to none. Her style is classified, at times, as "Celtic Blues", while her instrumental and vocal talents earn comparisons to Joni Mitchell, Ani DiFranco, Dar Williams, and Jeff Buckley. Not confined to one type of song or another, SJ spans opera, chant, and rockergrrl, employing deft guitar hands and the bluesy, powerful voice of a 300lb gospel singer--finely contained in a petite frame which earned her first band the name 'Skinny White Chick' by accident. An incredibly prolific writer, SJ Tucker has composed over 130 original songs and independently produced six full-length studio albums. SJ Tucker started on the road with her first album in 2004, and she is taking the nation by storm -- on her own power -- state by state. We are really proud to bring you her Rabbit's Song from her album Blessings, a powerful exploration of totems and the Trickster just perfect for Ostara. You can find out more about Sooj on her website at sjtucker.com or on her Contributor Page. Blodeuwedd by Rick Allen The Inconstant Bard An immortal voice and talent. The lyrical, bardic poetry of a Celtic warrior and spiritual seeker, this recording of Rick Allen's unforgettable voice, accompanied by the musical gifts of The Constant Cohorts, brings the listener back to the days of yore when Druids thrived, the Green Man freely roamed the land, passionate Love was a path to the Mysteries, the Muse was a Lady in White, “. . . and men were true.” This is Rick's own Tribute to the Maiden of Flowers, Blodeuwedd. Please visit our Contributor page to learn more about Rick Allen's story. Celtic Maidens by Ceri Norman Celtic Maidens From a young age Ceri Norman's love of mythology and history has inspired her. After gaining a degree studying History and English, Ceri worked in libraries and museums sharing this love with the people she met. Seeing the pleasure that books and history gave, Ceri started writing fiction that people of all ages could enjoy and relate to. As a deeply spiritual person she prefers her writing to have a spiritual and mystical flavour. Celtic Maidens is a supernatural tale of love, lives & obsession set against the dramatic scenery of the Welsh Mountains. Celtic Maidens tells the story of Siân Derwyn whose life holds few pleasures except for her friends, her interest in local folklore and the standing stones until the day that Ryan Ackley arrives in her remote Welsh village. Learn more about Ceri Norman on her website or on her Contributor Page. Atholl Highlander by Connemara Stone Company Original The Connemara Stone Company (CSC) are a Celtic Folk Rock and Folk Rock Band from Germany. They have now been together since 1995. In this period of time they have advanced from a Local Band to a fairly well known Band in the Celtic Folk Rock scene. Their main strength is in their ability to entertain a wider public with their own style of Celtic music in a modern Folk Rock style, appealing to all generations and a audience that are not only folk fans. Their ever increasing fan base comes from all walks of live and various tastes in music. This great, high-energy, track - Atholl Highlander - is from their brand new, 2013 album, Original, released on St. Patrick's Day. Find out more about the CSC on their website or on their Contributor Page. Teaspoon Ring Oak, Broom & Meadowsweet by Damh the Bard The Spirit of Albion Damh is a modern-day Bard whose spirituality, and love of folk tradition, is expressed through his music, storytelling and poetry. Drawing on the Bardic traditions his performances are both entertaining and educational, weaving a tapestry of myth, peace, and anthems that speak directly to the heart, but never without a good splash of humour. This beautiful track, Oak, Broom & Meadowsweet, comes from Damh's third CD - The Spirit of Albion; a superb album that captures the full range of this master's talent. You can get hold of Damh's new album Antlered Crown & Standing Stone from iTunes, CD Baby or his website at Pagan Music. CeltiSode 2010!Happy (Belated) St. Patrick's Day, Everyone!!First off, let me please humbly apologize for the HUGE delay that this episode has weathered. Thank you so much for your patience! I truly hope you find the show well worth the wait. :):) Whether you hear this on St. Paddy's itself or tune in during any other time of the year, I hope this day brings nothing but joy to you and yours, and that you enjoy this slightly super-sized episode as much as I do. (And that's after listening to it a million times during its arrangement, so that's saying something! ;D)This show is chock-full of fantastic music, made by some unbelievably skilled & gifted musicians! Some of this is work I've collected over many, many years (through places like myriad renaissance festivals, Thistle & Shamrock shows, and a good few Celtic festivals), while other pieces were acquired more recently; explicitly for play on this show. Celtic music has been a part of my heart for as long as I can remember, and I hope its soulfulness, passion and playfulness always will. :)Finding and playing the best of pod-safe Celtic music for you seems a superb way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day (musically speaking)- but for me, this music can make any day of the year an occasion. Plus, what a gift! I have found more phenomenal music in searching for pieces for this podcast than I can count! What a delight to've found sublime chanteuses like Maria Dunn, Beth Patterson and the ladies of Maidens IV!! And what a blessing to be able to share such personal favorites as The Rogues & Lothlorien, as well as a more recent favorite; the enthralling, enchanting power of Omnia! Each of these pieces hold their own magic and beauty, whether it be sweet & lilting or raucous and irreverent. And don't just relegate this lovely brand of tune-age to St. Paddy's! Celtic music goes beautifully at pubs, renaissance fairs, faerie-themed events, barn dances, and all kinds of events where merry-making is called for- even funerals on occasion- so keep it in mind the next time you go out with family & friends!Whether you're Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Manx or Scots-Irish (like yours truly), if you're English, German, Italian, Asian, Greek, Indian, American, Black Irish or French, may the luck of the Irish always be with you, and may you find your own pot of gold in pleasures big and small on this clover-filled, merrily-jigging day! (Just be careful with the Guinness, Harp Lager & Goldschläger, please! We want you around to celebrate the NEXT St. Paddy's, too! ;D)Now let me pick my fiddle back up again, and have a merry St. Pat's!! (Or whatever day you choose to celebrate it on. ;))Track List1. (Although other parts of the world still identify strongly with their Celtic roots, such as Caledonia in Spain, Newfoundland in Canada, Brittany in France, as well as much of the American south; especially those in and around the Appalachian & Rocky ountains.)Don't believe me? Listen to some of the folk music from these areas (including much of old as well as new American Country- from Bluegrass on), and see if you don't hear a Celtic lilt to many of fiddle tunes & melodies! SUGAR TREE are three wanderin' women who found their way back to the tippy-toes of the Appalachian foothills in Berea. This string trio are known for their pristine vocal harmonies, traditional and contemporary song choices and cowgirl boots. THE 23 STRING BAND hail from all around Kentucky. The band pays a fun, fuel-injected, original Americana that dangerously weaves across the lanes of modern acoustic music windows down, accelerator to the floor, on a joyride into the unknown with one eye on the vintage sounds in the rearview mirror. It's a bluegrass attack fueled by high-octane rock-n-roll energy and triple-distilled organic roots. The guys won the prestigious band competition at RockyGrass in Lyons, CO in 2011. Their latest album is 'Catch 23.' BAWN IN THE MASH are entering their seventh year of performing their sound founded in the ancient tones of Western Kentucky. Based in Paducah, early fans watched the band go from busking Appalachian street corners to headlining the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion-- from performing on the corner of 4th and Broadway to selling out the world famous Station Inn-- and from playing local barrooms to performing in the Victorian Ballroom aboard the Delta Queen steamboat, as the band continually progresses and impresses listeners worldwide. The band has just released their 4th studio album. Pat's!! (Or whatever day you choose to celebrate it on. ;))Track List:1. Dougie Maclean - Caledonia 2. Anne Roos - Considine's Grove 3. Will Kriski - Kerry's Jig 4. Great Big Sea - Company of Fools 5. Sligo Rags - The Whiskey Never Lies 6. Athas - Boys Of Tandragee/Tuesday Morning/Checkered Blanket 7. Beth Patterson - Ye Jacobites By Name8. Omnia - Etrezomp-Ni Kelted9. Burning Bridget Cleary - The Saucy Sailor 10. The Rogues - Celtic Goulash 11. FIMM - Sweeny's Buttermilk 12. Maria Dunn - The Elder Sister 13. Cara Dillon - Spencer The Rover 14. Lothlorien - Dans en Dro 15. Maidens IV - Rocks of the Bawn 16. Rattle the Boards - The Mason's Apron (Reel)17. Mike Hanrahan - Thousands Are Sailing 18. Paddy's Pig - Pat Works On the Railway 19. Ceann - Almost Irish 20. Blaggards - Irish RoverKey:Band name = Artist Website Song Title = Band MySpace (Both where available- both soon to come!)*Bold Italic = Background Accompaniment NOTE: For those of you who may not know, the beginning of the word "Celtic" is pronounced with a hard "c,"making the word sound like "ˈkel-tik."If you use it beginning with an "s" sound (or what's called "a soft c"), that refers to the pro. basketball team from Boston; not the groups of Indo-European peoples & languages predominantly found in Wales, Ireland & the Scottish Highlands. Other grand links for those of you who love Celtic music:The Thistle & Shamrock on NPRCeltic RadioCeltic MP3's (.com)Irish Sayings, Toasts & Blessings-and for those of you who're as lost with reading Irish as I am: How to Pronounce Irish(But go to these and all the other bands' pages listed in the Tracks section! I really mean it when I say in the show that there's so much good music made by these and other artists that I could create a whole other podcast (or two) from the tremendous work that's out there!!)Tapadh Leibh. all!Yours Forever in Song,DJ Selchie
In today's show, I talk about a new phrase I'm associating with my name now--"The Godfather of Celtic Music Online". Someone used that phrase to describe me a while back and I loved it so much I've adopted. We also have the return of the iPod shuffle.
