Health and wealth go hand in hand, don't you think? Unfortunately, our health care system has led this country down this path where there's sadly a growing obese population. Arguably, the government may also have played a part in the absurd number of COVID-related deaths. If you think you've been heavily focusing on wealth-building and that you're taking your health quite lightly, then be sure to tune in to today's episode as Dr. Thaddeus Gala shares some awakening insights into today's U.S. healthcare system as well as how we can create a healthier society. Dr. Thaddeus Gala is a speaker, investor, author, clinician, and founder of Complete Care clinics. One of the defining moments that led him into healthcare was when his mom got sick and was told by the doctors that she was going to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair. Fast forward to now, Thaddeus has a handful of clinics, and as a CEO, he oversees about 50,000 patients a year. They help people reverse chronic conditions – everything from fibromyalgia, arthritis, migraines to Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, etc. Eight years ago, Thaddeus created the entrepreneurial mastermind group called The Guardians, with the goal to bring entrepreneurs together as they maximize their health, grow their wealth, and make an impact. Here are some power takeaways from today's conversation: What led Thaddeus to healthcare The two branches of medicine The “tail chasing” that happens within the healthcare system Why the universal healthcare system is flawed His thoughts on the free market and capitalism How the government played a part in COVID related deaths Understanding the concept of “suffering with meaning” How common sense has gotten us to where we are now The problem with divorcing science from being politically correct Episode Highlights: [02:24] The Problem of Obesity in the U.S. Over the last 20-30 years, obesity rates went through the roof. Part of the problem was the introduction of the food bill and some of the food subsidiaries which resulted in people becoming overfed and undernourished. As the obese population grew, we're also seeing a rise in chronic diseases, largely influenced by the government making unhealthy food readily accessible and super cheap. [05:54] Suffering with Meaning When we give too many handouts and we make things too easy for people, we rob ourselves and others of the opportunity to do great things. It doesn't mean people should intentionally suffer needlessly, but there are benefits to “suffering with meaning” – it's the kind of suffering where, for instance, you go to the gym to exercise. And so, there's a reason behind your sore muscles. It's a good kind of suffering, it's what causes good health on the other side. Whether you're learning how to play the piano or how to fly a plane, there's a certain amount of suffering that goes on too. Suffering with meaning is where growth happens. But we've tried to bubble wrap the world and make it very easy. The government has made food so cheap and easy with all these food subsidies that it propagates this idea that it's what people should be doing. By removing some of these crutches and letting the free market provide, it will create opportunities for people to “suffer” in a good way, and this will ultimately make them stronger, healthier, more vibrant, and more productive and more capable on the back end. Entrepreneur Thaddeus Galas' Secrets on Health & WealthTheirs a Doctor in the house and his name is Dr. Thaddeus Gala. Thaddeus is an entrepreneurs' entrepreneur. He owns and runs several Companies. Every year Thaddeus hosts the Guardians Annual Retreat, bringing together 500 entrepreneurs, leaders, and philanthropists for a weekend of inspiration. The event features headliners like Gary Vaynerchuk, Natasha Graziano and a host of other A list Speakers. Tickets are always sell out almost as soon as they become available.Unconventional childhood and Unconventional EntrepreneurDr. Gala's parents were one of a kind. His father was a Vietnam War veteran, while his mother was a grade school teacher. They fell in love instantly when they met. Within weeks, they picked up their lives and moved to the forests of Oregon.Dr. Gala spent his formative years surrounded by nature in a rustic household. He had chickens as pets. Exercise involved cutting firewood. And winters meant finding new ways to unfreeze the pipes. Growing up, Dr. Gala always felt like the forest offered unique problems, which required equally unique solutions. Learning how to solve problems on his own led to the development of Thaddeus' entrepreneurial spirit. The Road Less TravelledDr. Gala's first foray into business involved medicine. When his mother became ill with a life-threatening condition, he came face-to-face with the limitations of the current healthcare system. Thaddeus founded Complete Care, a multi-specialty clinic that advocated natural methods for pain and chronic disease. Today, Complete Care is responsible for over 50,000 patient visits a year. Last year, Dr. Gala's mom celebrated her 75th birthday by running a marathon. Like other great entrepreneurs, Dr. Gala is a master of the road less travelled. He has since ventured into taxation prevention and mentorship and boasts immense success in both. While he fell into both fields by accident, the entrepreneur in him recognized the opportunity, which allowed him to pursue it. This is one of the traits that separates great entrepreneurs from other businessmen.Guardian's Advice 1, 2 and 3First, opportunities are many times disguised as problems. When an average entrepreneur finds themself at a fork in the road, they may see that as a negative. But when a great entrepreneur finds themself at a crossroad, they look for the value of the options ahead. Reframing problems as opportunities may mean the difference between another bad day at the office and a groundbreaking idea.Second, gratitude results in a never-empty cup. Each day, Dr. Gala makes time to list down three things for whihc he's thankful. He leaves these lists around his house, so that he is constantly reminded of the many blessings in his life. He firmly believes that this practice helps him become more present. It elevates his mood, which also improves the energy of those working with and for him.And third, environment is the single best driver of behavior. If you surround yourself with the right people, you set yourself up for success. The Guardian Annual Retreat works on this premise. Every year, over 500 like-minded individuals gather in Puerto Rico to discuss health, wealth, and impact. The Guardian Annual Retreat is responsible for the growth of hundreds of great entrepreneurs all over the world.provenadjectivedemonstrated by evidence or argument to be true or existing."a proven ability to work hard"(of a new method, system, or treatment) tried and tested.en·tre·pre·neurnouna person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.The Proven Entrepreneur - Success Stories share real stories from real entrepreneurs about how they got where they are.https://provenentrepreneurshow.comhttps://donwilliamsglobal.com
URL: https://go.guardiansretreat.com BIO: Whether he's competing in a triathlon, speaking to an international audience of eager entrepreneurs, or running his myriad commercial enterprises, Dr. Thaddeus Gala, DC, operates at full throttle. This successful author, investor, and business owner is hard-wired to pursue opportunity, philanthropy and advancements in the marketplace wherever he finds it. No matter if it's piloting his own plane at his home in southern Oregon, vacationing at his villa in Puerto Rico, hiking a mountain trail, or extolling the interconnectivity of health and wealth, Thaddeus has his eyes on the horizon and his ambition in overdrive. From his first business endeavor selling farm-fresh eggs from his parents' homestead ranch to starting his first health care clinic in 2011, Thaddeus' drive has enabled him to attain great success and notoriety. As founder, CEO, and medical director of Complete Care clinics, Thaddeus has expanded the business to several locations that attend for nearly 50,000 patient transactions yearly. His books and videos on health and wealth have made him a sought-after speaker. Thaddeus has launched and oversees numerous successful commercial enterprises. He owns significant real estate holdings and has earned a reputation as a savvy investor. He regularly gives his time, money, knowledge, and resources to worthy causes and initiatives locally, nationally, and internationally. In that spirit of entrepreneurship and philanthropy, Thaddeus launched The Guardians. The Guardians is an exclusive business and philanthropic mastermind that strives to empower individuals possessing an entrepreneurial mindset to make an impact on this world and to leave a legacy that reaches beyond their business. Not only does The Guardians offer business and personal development at the highest levels, it is a community of successful individuals who treasure the power of genuine relationships and an abundance mindset. “As Guardians, our goal is not only to share our knowledge, but to forge life-long relationships and launch breakthroughs to the next level of impact, just as I was able to do in my health care business,” he said. Thaddeus conceived the Guardians when he was only 10 years old. At that time, Thaddeus “lost” his mom. It's not that she passed away, rather, she became physically disabled. The doctors and specialists who examined her agreed that she would spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair and that she possibly wouldn't see her two sons graduate high school. As a young boy, the impact of witnessing his mother's failing health fostered a deep-seated drive for Thaddeus to save his mom's life. As a result, this pursuit of wholistic wellness has helped countless patients facing similar health issues. Ultimately, that experience as a child led to his first career in natural health care. His mom is now in her 70s and in complete remission. She has started running 5K races, frequently winning her age group. Her story is so remarkable, she and Dr. Gala have been featured on NBC, CBS, and numerous other media outlets. She also has become the lead health coach within Thaddeus' clinics. But in his early days as a clinician, Thaddeus faced another daunting task. After opening his first clinic in 2011, Thaddeus and his staff worked tirelessly to make it profitable. However, when discussing year-end financials with his CPA, he found himself staring at a $270,000 tax bill. With only $30,000 in the checking account, Thaddeus was perplexed as to how it was possible to work that hard and now needed nearly a quarter-million dollars simply to pay taxes. That was when he learned about Cash Flow Arbitrage™. Simply put, Cash Flow Arbitrage allows financially savvy businesses and entrepreneurs to reduce or eliminate their tax burden, while simultaneously keeping their cash fully liquid so they can continue building their wealth. “People are amazed and confounded by how a huge company such as Amazon makes soaring profits, yet pays no federal income tax,” Thaddeus said. “Cash Flow Arbitrage™ is one of those secrets. And I'd like to share that secret with other business owners.” The lack of knowledge about this strategy is the roadblock to tax savings and wealth creation. For Thaddeus, sharing that knowledge is central to The Guardians. “Through my efforts and what I've learned, I was able to become successful,” he said. “But I'm just one person. What if I could help others do the same? “There is so much darkness in the world. I want to be the light, and I want other people to not only embrace the light, but also to share it.”
83 percent of nurses say patients aren't receiving complete care in hospitals due to understaffing. A major independent report has been looking into a safe staffing programme that was put in place 15 years ago, and found 13 out of 20 DHBs haven't been following it. Along with this, it highlights just how bad the short staffing has become. New Zealand Nurses Organisation acting chief executive, Mairi Lucas joined Kate Hawkesby. LISTEN ABOVE

Now that we have a lull in reporting on SBA loan programs, the focus should shift to bringing dental practices back strong. This week’s episode features Dr. Paul Homoly of Homoly Communications. For decades, Dr. Homoly has been on the cutting edge of helping doctors improve their case presentation to persuade patients to say "Yes" to treatment. He is a master at dialoguing with patients, and shares how dentists should communicate with them during this critical time. Because many of the diseases that weaken the immune system start in the mouth, Art and Dr. Homoly converse about why presenting complete care to patients is so important. They discuss how dentists should communicate comprehensive care to their patients, with emphasis on how a stronger immune system goes a long way towards fighting COVID-19. This is episode very important topic for dentists as they start welcoming patients back for care. Dr. Paul Homoly Homoly Communications www.paulhomoly.com 800.294.9370

In this episode, I interview my friend Jeanice all about pelvic floor sexual health! Here are the questions we go over! Ok, so what exactly happens during pregnancy, and during delivery, to disrupt sexual health? Let’s start talking about postpartum sex, how long should I wait? Should it hurt at all? What should I do if it does? Give me your best tips for having a pain-free experience When should I seek help from a pelvic floor specialist? How do I even find one? What should I expect a typical visit to look like? How long does the treatment typically last? I’m SO embarrassed (and nervous/scared), and I can’t even think about going to a pelvic floor specialist..what should I do? Dr. Thaddeus Gala, Founder, and CEO of Complete Care delivers a riveting overview of his work in integrative medicine. Dr. Gala is a skilled chiropractor who has given many of his career years to the goal of improving health and wellness for all. He is a sought-after lecturer on multiple topics related to wellness, including general nutrition, weight loss, management of diabetes, and more. Dr. Gala's research has been published nationally and he is the successful author of notable publications such as the popular, “The Secret to Defy Disease and Decay,” cookbooks, and other works. Dr. Gala talks about the events that motivated him to become passionate about wellness and natural medicine. As Dr. Gala recounts, his mother faced a serious illness that doctors had trouble explaining, but one that put her into a wheelchair. Frustrated by the fact that doctor after a doctor offered little to no help to improve his mother's condition, Dr. Gala devoted his life to find better solutions for people suffering from chronic diseases, to help them naturally reverse their diseases without the use of drugs or surgery. Dr. Gala talks about his integrative medical clinics and his desire to be actively involved in his patients' care. The natural medicine expert delves into the topic of inflammation and he explains how it happens. He explains how inflammation is the body's natural response to something it considers to be an injurious type stimulus. He details multiple examples and outlines the body's processes. He talks about the many nutritional problems people suffer from and goes into detail about the choices we make that impact our overall health. Dr. Gala is a strong supporter of lifestyle changes as a means to reverse disease. His philosophy is based in the whole person approach, one that proposes we should be investigating the deeper underlying causes of body disturbances to root them out and make lifestyle adjustments that will help push the body back to a healthy state and normalize body function.
