In recent years the rights of people who identify as transgender have been big talking points. Much of the conversation has been centred upon the extent to which trans people can freely be themselves in a society that is accustomed to a cisgendered outlook. That is an experience which is of course shared by many across the LGBTQ+ community, and it highlights the massive value of safe spaces for people. This is something espoused by the Leeds First Friday social event which is a monthly gathering of trans, non-binary and gender-fluid people in West Yorkshire. Organisers say around 150 people attend regularly on the 1st Friday of every month, making it one of, if not the biggest trans meet-ups in the UK. During the event, trans, non-binary and gender-fluid people have the chance to come together and embrace their true identity in some of Leeds' best known venues. And it's not just those from the local area who attend. People from up-and-down the country make their way to the city for an event not just open to trans people, but also their partners, allies and friends. To highlight the importance of Leeds First Friday to the trans community, Sophie Scott co-hosts this episode of the ITV Pridecast from one of the recent socials. Alongside her is Ash Palmisciano, and as a regular attendee of LFF, Sophie invites Ash to meet some of those who play a vital role in running the event and discover the huge benefits it has on the trans community. During the episode, Sophie and Ash also share their own stories of being trans. Ash, who featured on the Pridecast earlier this year, reflects on his career as one of the most recognisable faces in the trans community, playing Emmerdale's, Matty Barton. Sophie, who started working for ITV in September 2021, is part of the Content Services team and helps share some of ITV's best content around the UK and across the world. She also talks about what it means to embrace her true identity and how LFF has played a part in that. Both also discuss the importance of Transgender Awareness Week and Transgender Day of Remembrance which takes place in November. They chat about the value of both occasions in reminding people of the struggles and also the achievements of the trans community and how much progress is still needed in society. Support organisations: -Gires.co.uk has a comprehensive list of transgender support groups and websites.-Mermaids.co.uk offers transgender support for children and young adults.Mindlinetrans.org.uk provides an emotional support helpline for anyone identifying as transgender, non-binary and gender-fluid. It is also there to support family members, friends, colleagues and carers.-Genderedintelligence.co.uk works to increase the understanding of gender diversity and improve the lives of trans people.

Keeping that relevance and your user experience top-notch at every point you can will drive that brand stickiness and loyalty generating even more positive sentiment over time.”
I used to feel the need to justify my programs, services and prices by trying to jam pack so much into an offer so I could overcome the guilt and need to prove myself. In this special episode of the Futurum Tech Podcast — The Interview Series, Daniel Newman welcomes Bill Lobig, Vice President of IBM's Content Services, to discuss how the way we manage content has evolved. After all, content is the cornerstone of the internet, and the way we treat it is changing—thanks to developing technology. More specifically, in this podcast, Bill noted that there are two types of content: structured data and unstructured data—and we treat them differently. The unstructured data in particular has been more difficult to deal with, as it's made up of documents, text, and videos. It takes a lot of time to read or view, so it's hard to get information out of it. But that's been slowly changing due to the digital transformation, which happens to be the backdrop for everything that's going on right now. Treehouse 51 is a boutique ad agency based out of Newport Beach, California, and specializes in a broad array of marketing services such as Web Design, Content Creation, and Video Production. Kirk’s journey is one that is filled with education and learning based on the many careers he has had over the last decade. After graduating, he worked under many titles for multiple companies such as Script Director, Copywriter, Technical Editor, Head of Content Services, Social Media Coordinator, and Web Content Specialist. Nuxeo, maker of the leading, cloud-native content services platform, is reinventing enterprise content and digital asset management. The company is fundamentally changing how people work with both data and content to realize new value from digital information. Its cloud-native, hyper-scalable content services platform has been deployed by large enterprises, mid-sized businesses and government agencies worldwide. Customers like Verizon, Boeing, Electronic Arts, and the US Department of Defense have used Nuxeo’s technology to transform the way they do business. Founded in 2008, the company is based in New York with offices across the United States and Europe. In 2016 Goldman Sachs and Kennet Partners invested $30 million to help Nuxeo accelerate our rapid growth. The company is currently investing heavily in expanding customer success and support, boosting R&D, and increasing our global reach and market presence. Nuxeo was also named a visionary in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Content Services Platforms (CSP) report. As one of the 19 vendors evaluated, Nuxeo was positioned as a visionary based on its completeness of vision and ability to execute on this vision. Nuxeo CMO Chris McLaughlin has moved from start-up to enterprise and back again. Chris has extensive CMO experience in both the startup and enterprise space, so I invited him onto the podcast to discuss why he left tech behemoth Dell ECM for a nimble company like Nuxeo. Chris also shares his tips and advice for startup CMOs looking to succeed, including focusing on solving one specific problem you identify (rather than trying to resolve several, unsuccessfully). It’s easy to lose sight of what has the biggest organizational impact when setting out to accomplish certain tasks as a part of your job description, so it’s important to remain focused in order to move the organization in the right direction.

In 1998 the American Dialect Society voted "e-" (as in electronic) as the "word of the year". This signified how important the internet had become in our world. Almost 10 years later we’re undergoing an even larger change. Only this time the "e-" prefix stands for "everywhere". Mobile content, services and commerce are changing the way we communicate, work and do business. And these changes are building upon the already massive revolutions brought about by the internet - only faster and made more pervasive. This presentation will look at the strategic issues facing managers and developers as they strive to adapt to this literally "moving" target. The session will be highly interactive in nature so make sure you bring your mobile device! Alex Young has been involved in online for over a decade, moving from instructional design, visual and interaction design through to project and people management within the education, training, TV and telecommunications fields. This journey has instilled a sense of purpose to strive for an optimal user experience for every solution or challenge that presents itself. As part of Mobile Online Business, Alex is focused on how to help companies communicate better with their customers by understanding the pervasiveness of emerging technologies and the ways to best utilise these to communicate with their customers. Rob has been modeling Information Architectures and IA driven business models since 1989. As the technology landscape evolved he moved from digital pre-press, to interactive media, to network applications and finally to pervasive computing. Now he has joined Mobile Online Business (MOB) and is focused upon exploring life after Convergence - a place where objects and their interfaces Diverge allowing you to control them anywhere, anytime. His primary goal is to provide MOB’s clients with hands on, real world experience with this intangible new world.
