Nobody asks for trials. But if you've been walking with Jesus for any amount of time, you know they come—unexpected, uninvited, and often unrelenting. And yet God tells us to “count it all joy”? Not because the pain feels good—but because something greater is being produced within us.Our springboard for today's discussion is:“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.” — James 1:2–3 (ESV)Trials are God's classroom. Not His punishment. And certainly not His absence. In the fire, your faith is refined—not destroyed. You learn how to stand, how to endure, how to trust when everything around you shakes. But the trial doesn't just reveal what's around you—it reveals what's in you. And more importantly, it reveals the One who is in it with you.You may not understand what's happening. The pieces don't always make sense. But God is not silent in the storm. He is speaking, even now.“My child, I know this hurts. I haven't overlooked it or delayed out of neglect. I'm allowing what will strengthen you, not destroy you. Trust Me. I am forming something in you that comfort never could. Hold on. I'm right here.”God is not asking you to pretend the trial isn't painful. He's asking you to anchor yourself in the truth that He is still good, still faithful, and still present.Faith is not proved in the light—it's proven in the dark. And every step you take in trust is shaping you into someone who reflects Jesus more than ever before.Question of the Day:Where in your life right now do you need to stop asking “why” and start trusting “Who”?Mini Call to Action:Write down one area of trial you're facing. Next to it, write one promise of God. Post it where you'll see it every day this week.Let's Pray:Lord, I don't always understand the pain—but I trust Your purpose. Strengthen my heart. Refine my faith. And teach me to walk through the fire with my eyes fixed on You. In Jesus' name, amen.Let's Get To Work!Pain isn't the end of your story. From the very beginning, God designed marriage with purpose. It wasn't man's idea—it was God's. He created it not just for companionship, but to reflect His unity, His covenant, and His love. To become one flesh is not a metaphor. It's a holy reality, spiritually and physically. And when we align with God's design, our marriages reflect His glory. Our springboard for today's discussion is:"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." — Genesis 2:24Marriage is not simply the joining of two people. It is the uniting of two lives into one. Two hearts, two minds, two stories—now woven together under God's authority. This oneness is sacred. And it must be protected. But unity doesn't happen by accident. It requires intention. It requires humility. And it requires both spouses to pursue God as their first love—because only in Him can true unity be found. One flesh means no longer living as two individuals with separate visions, but as a unified team with a shared mission. It means prioritizing each other above all other relationships. It means letting go of selfishness and walking together with patience, grace, and mutual submission. If your marriage feels divided—God can restore unity. If your hearts feel distant—God can draw them together again. But it begins by returning to His design. His blueprint is not flawed. It still works. And it still blesses.Question of the Day:Where in your marriage is God inviting you to walk more deeply in unity?Mini Call to Action:Take time today to pray together—or individually—for unity. Ask God to align your hearts and minds to His divine purpose for your marriage.Let's Pray:Father, we ask You to bring our hearts together under Your design. Break down any wall that divides us, and build within us a deep and lasting unity. Make us one, just as You are One. Life doesn't suddenly turn easy when you step into God's promises. Even Canaan had its giants. But Joshua needed to hear one thing more than any battle plan: “I will be with you.” That's the heartbeat of today's message. Storms will come—they always do. But God doesn't vanish when the skies darken. He steps in and holds firm. Our springboard for today's discussion is:"Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.” —Joshua 1:5 (ESV)When your world shakes, this verse is your anchor. God's presence is not a seasonal benefit or a conditional perk. It's a covenant. The same God who walked Moses through the Red Sea and Joshua across the Jordan walks with you through cancer, job loss, betrayal, and grief. This isn't about God removing every storm—it's about Him remaining in every storm. That promise held Joshua together when he faced fortified cities and weary people. And it holds you together too.We need to hold fast and remember: Canaan life isn't defined by ease but by confidence. When you've got the Anchor, you can endure the waves. God doesn't always still the storm—but He always stills His child. So hold tight. His Word doesn't waver. His grip doesn't slip.Question of the Day:Where in your life do you need to be reminded that God is still with you—anchoring you, even when the storm won't stop?Let's Pray:Lord, thank You for never letting go, even when the winds rise and fear creeps in. Purification of the soul (S2) The messenger ﷺ: “The People who backbite, taunt, mock, tell tales and find fault with the innocent, will be risen as dogs on the Day of Judgement!”. Our beloved mother, Aisha (a.s): “ "The attribute that the Companions (r.a) hated the most, was lying". Our messenger ﷺ: “"He has no Iman, the one who isnt trustworthy”. Thus it is crucial - one must avoid lying at all costs in order to purify their souls. Serve others! For our messenger ﷺ said: “" Allah ﷻ does not cease to attend to His servants needs, as long as the servant attends to his brothers needs". By serving your brothers and sisters in times of need, you are protected from an evil death. Our messenger ﷺ said: “ If one helps his brother, then Allah ﷻ will make his feet firm on the Day Where even mountains will Perish!". Why do we sometimes feel as if our relationships are failing, or on the contrary, being rekindled? Our messenger ﷺ said: “when 2 people love one another in Islam, the first sin committed by one of them, causes separation between them!”. By increasing in good deeds, your relationships will strengthen!

Love isn't always candlelit dinners and whispered promises. Sometimes, it's holding hands in silence when words fail. Sometimes, it's choosing forgiveness even when your heart is still hurting. Real love isn't fragile—it's forged in the fire of trials. Today, we're talking about a tenacious kind of love—the kind that doesn't run at the first sign of trouble but digs in, fights for connection, and chooses to stay. Our springboard for today's discussion is:"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." — 1 Corinthians 13:7 (ESV)This verse isn't poetic fluff—it's a challenge. It describes a love that endures. That means it's built to last through disagreements, through misunderstandings, through seasons where love feels more like a decision than a feeling. Love that endures is not passive—it's active. It chooses to stay, to fight for the relationship, to work things out even when it's uncomfortable. The tenacity of love shows up in the hard moments. When you've had the same argument for the hundredth time, when life gets heavy, when finances strain, when illness shows up…tenacious love keeps showing up. It's not about never feeling like giving up—it's about never actually doing it.God's love for us is the ultimate example. He doesn't walk away when we fall short. He pursues. He stays. And He calls us to love one another with that same kind of relentless, unshakable love. Not just when it's easy, but especially when it's hard.Question of the Day:Where in your life is God calling you to show tenacious love today, even if it's tough?Let's Pray:Lord, help me love with endurance. The world says, “Be strong,” but God says, “My grace is sufficient.”Our springboard for today's discussion is: 2 Corinthians 12:9—“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'”Paul knew suffering. He prayed for relief, but God didn't take away the thorn in his flesh. Instead, God offered something greater—His grace. When we're at our weakest, God's power is displayed in its fullness. It's not about mustering up strength; it's about surrendering to His.Pain has a way of stripping away our illusions of control. Today, we're diving into a topic that challenges the way we think—following the Holy Spirit, even when it doesn't make sense. How do we trust God when His direction seems completely counterintuitive? Our springboard for today's discussion is: Isaiah 55:8-9 – “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.”God's ways have always defied human logic. Noah was told to build an ark when there wasn't a drop of rain in sight. Peter was called to step out of a perfectly good boat onto stormy waters. These moments weren't about reason; they were about trust. When God speaks, His guidance often transcends what we can comprehend, because He sees what we cannot.Think about how often our instincts tell us to play it safe, to rely on what we know. But when the Spirit moves, He calls us beyond comfort and into radical faith. Maybe God is leading you to a job that seems less secure but aligns with your calling. Perhaps He's nudging you to forgive when every part of you resists. Or maybe He's asking you to give generously when logic says to hold on.The real question is: Do you trust Him more than you trust yourself? Human reasoning has limits, but God's wisdom is infinite. True faith isn't just believing in God—it's acting on His voice, even when it doesn't add up.Question of the Day: Where is God calling you to step out in faith, despite it not making sense?Let's Pray: Lord, Your ways are higher than ours. Welcome, Warriors, to The Power of God's Whisper Podcast. Hearing God's voice is powerful, but real faith is revealed in how we respond. Many believers read Scripture, listen to sermons, and nod in agreement—but transformation happens when we step out in obedience. Our springboard for today's discussion is: James 1:22 – "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves."When God speaks through His Word, He expects action. Abraham left his homeland, Moses confronted Pharaoh, and Peter stepped out of the boat—each of them acted on God's Word and saw His power unfold. Their faith wasn't passive; it was tested, stretched, and strengthened by obedience. It's easy to agree with God in theory but resist Him in practice. We say we trust Him, yet hesitate when He calls us to forgive, to give, to serve. Obedience isn't always comfortable, but it leads to supernatural encounters. When we align our actions with God's commands, we move beyond knowledge into faith-filled transformation. So how do we apply Scripture in everyday life? Start by identifying areas where God has spoken clearly—whether in relationships, integrity, or purpose. Take one step of faith today: reconcile with someone, act in generosity, or boldly share your testimony. Faith in action is where God's power meets our willingness to obey.Question of the Day: Where is God calling you to take action in obedience to His Word today?Let's Pray: Lord, give us the courage to not just hear Your Word, but to do what it says. Let our obedience open doors to Your power and presence. In Jesus' name, Amen.Let's Get to Work!My Reasons To Believe is a reader-supported publication. There are a lot of terms bantered about in the biohacker and longevity space. With that, you've likely heard of mTOR – mechanistic (mammalian) target of rapamycin. But what exactly is it? mTOR is a key regulator in your body's metabolic and growth processes. It integrates various signals, including nutrients and growth factors, to control processes like protein synthesis, autophagy, and lipid metabolism. Because it regulates growth, dysregulation of mTOR has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer. In today's episode, we simplify the science behind mTOR – mechanistic target of rapamycin. This crucial enzyme may be the key to unlocking groundbreaking advancements in wellness, anti-aging, disease prevention, and health optimization. After nearly a month off of podcasting, the boys are back and better than ever! Adam is now a married man, and was it a cloud nine experience. Mason was of course at the wedding, but this podcast is not so much about the wedding itself. This podcast is all about their food and beverage adventures in Spain and Portugal. Hear about their favorite dining experiences and their favorite Spanish libations, and what their favorite memory was during their trip! The next podcast will be an absolute cluster f***, as our goal is to have as many people on the podcast as we possibly can to dive into Adam & Olivia's wedding day. Question of the Day: Where has been your favorite vacation spot and why? And finally, a word from our sponsor: Who's got the beef? Shoe's got the beef. Shoe's pizzeria keeps it close to home by highlighting the Chicago Beef. They soak perfectly cooked thin sliced Italian beef in hot au jus, before placing it in a freshly baked roll. They top it off with mozzarella before baking it to perfection. And you know when that is? When the mozzarella starts to create a GBD (golden brown delicious) crust on top. They then serve it with peperoncini peppers and more au jus. Adam's personal favorite way to eat it is by adding some hot giardinara and a side of their crinkle cut fries. Go check out Shoe's, and see if you can take down their 6” or 12” beef sandwich. Tell Chris that Mason + Adam told you about it and he will give you a free beer to wash that beef down (must be 21 years or older to get this offer). 3300 N Calumet Ave, Valparaiso IN. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/assemblagebeveragepodcast/support

In an era where self-determination and personal success are often glorified, Proverbs 16:9 calls us back to a foundational truth: our lives are ultimately guided by God's sovereign hand. This verse not only invites us to plan and dream but also to submit those plans to God's ultimate authority and direction. Taking responsibility for your life in the biblical sense involves a dynamic interplay between diligent planning and humble submission to God's adjustments. This ensures that our endeavors are not just products of our ambition but are aligned with the divine purpose, leading to true fulfillment and effectiveness. Our springboard for today's discussion is: Proverbs 16:9 - "The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps."This proverb encapsulates the balance between human agency and divine sovereignty. It acknowledges our ability and responsibility to set goals and make plans but emphasizes that the successful outworking of those plans ultimately depends on God's will. By accepting this, we adopt a posture of humility and openness to God's guidance, which is crucial for anyone seeking to lead a life that is not only responsible but also resonant with God's overarching plans for humanity.Focus Points for Balancing Personal Planning with Divine Guidance:* Prayerful Planning: Begin every planning process with prayer. Seek God's wisdom before you set goals or make decisions. This invites God into your planning stages and opens the way for His guidance from the outset.* Biblical Alignment: Ensure that your plans are in line with biblical principles. Use Scripture as a filter for your ambitions, ensuring that your goals do not contradict God's Word but reflect His character and commands.* Seek Counsel: Engage with wise and godly counsel as you plan. God often uses others to provide direction, confirm His will, or offer new insights that can adjust or affirm your path.* Flexibility in Execution: Hold your plans loosely. Be willing to alter your course according to God's leading. This flexibility demonstrates trust in God's perfect judgment and timing.* Reflect and Adjust: Regularly assess the progress of your plans in light of God's ongoing guidance. Be attentive to the Holy Spirit's promptings to pause, proceed, or pivot. This continual adjustment is key to staying aligned with God's sovereign will. Conclusion: Proverbs 16:9 doesn't just challenge our modern ideals of independence; it offers a richer, more rewarding approach to taking responsibility for our lives. By integrating diligent planning with a flexible, God-honoring execution, we open ourselves up to the peace and prosperity that comes from being in step with divine guidance. Our responsibility becomes less about control and more about cooperation with God's perfect plans.Call to Action: This week, identify an area of your life where your plans may not be fully aligned with God's will. Commit to re-evaluating these plans through prayer, consultation of Scripture, and seeking godly advice. Make necessary adjustments to ensure that you are walking in obedience to God's direction.Question of the Day: Where do you need to invite God into your planning process more fully, and what specific step will you take to integrate His guidance into your plans?Let's Pray: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the wisdom that Proverbs 16:9 imparts on balancing our plans with Your sovereign will. Help us to plan our paths with wisdom while fully submitting to the direction You establish for us. Grant us the humility to accept Your redirection and the faith to trust Your perfect plans. Lead us by Your Spirit, and let our lives reflect Your glory and purpose. In Jesus' Name, Amen.As you move forward, remember that true responsibility involves not just the ability to plan but the wisdom to yield to God's guidance. In a world where knowledge is at our fingertips and human wisdom often takes center stage, it's easy to find ourselves anchored in the shallow waters of earthly understanding. But there's a call that echoes deeper, urging us to set our sails towards the vast, uncharted waters of divine wisdom. Today, we dive into the heart of what it means to trust not in the intellect and achievements of humanity but in the boundless, unfathomable power of God.Our springboard for today's discussion is: 1 Corinthians 2:5 - "That your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God."This scripture challenges us to examine the foundation upon which our faith is built. It's a reminder that true faith transcends human reasoning and logic, tapping into the power of God that can move mountains, part seas, and breathe life into the lifeless. Trusting God when He speaks to us means leaning not on our own understanding or the insights of others but on His promises, His character, and His power, which have been proven time and again throughout history.Full 2 Minute "Focus Training":Minute One: Reflective Silence: Begin with a minute of silence, allowing your mind to settle. In this quiet space, ask God to reveal areas of your life where you've relied more on human wisdom than on His power. Let the awareness of these areas rise to the surface of your thoughts.Minute Two: Prayer for Shift: Spend the next minute in prayer, specifically asking God to help you shift your trust from human wisdom to His divine power. Pray for the faith to believe in His guidance, even when it contradicts the world's logic, and for the strength to act on His promises. Conclusion:Our journey of faith is one of continual realignment, constantly moving away from the reliance on human wisdom and towards a deep-seated trust in the power of God. It's a path that promises not ease but adventure, not clarity but conviction, and not predictability but profound peace. Trusting in God's power means stepping into the unknown, armed with the certainty that the One who calls us is faithful to lead us.Call to Action:This week, identify one decision or challenge you're facing where you've sought human wisdom above God's guidance. Commit to seeking God's direction through prayer, scripture, and godly counsel, making a conscious effort to trust in His power over the situation, regardless of how it appears through the lens of human logic.Question of the Day: Where do you find it most difficult to choose God's power over human wisdom, and what is one practical step you can take to strengthen your faith in God's power this week?Let's Pray:Father, we acknowledge our tendency to lean on human understanding rather than Your infinite power. Help us to shift our trust from the wisdom of this world to the truth of Your word. Strengthen our faith so that it may rest not in the accomplishments of humanity but in Your unchanging character and almighty power. Guide us in every decision, and may our lives be a testament to the trust we place in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.As we navigate the complexities of life, let's embrace the invitation to trust in the power of God over the wisdom of men. It's a trust that doesn't come naturally, but with each step of faith, we find ourselves more deeply anchored in His eternal strength. In a world that incessantly demands our conformity, where the siren songs of societal approval lure us toward the rocks of compromise, standing firm in our faith is both a declaration of independence and a commitment to a higher calling. It's about where we place our trust and whose voice we choose to heed amid the cacophony. Today, we delve into the heart of Galatians, where Paul challenges us to examine our allegiances and to find our approval in God alone.Scripture: Galatians 1:10 - "For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ."This potent question from Paul serves as a mirror, reflecting the true nature of our daily pursuits and the motivations behind our actions. It's a stark reminder that the path of a Christ follower is often counter-cultural, marked not by the pursuit of human approval but by the steadfast pursuit of God's will. Trusting God when He speaks to us means having the courage to choose His approval over the fleeting accolades of man, even when it isolates us from the crowd.Focus Points (2 minutes):* Divine Approval vs. Human Applause: Highlight the transient nature of human approval and contrast it with the eternal satisfaction of living within God's will. Discuss the freedom that comes from no longer being captive to the opinions of others.* Courage to Stand Alone: Emphasize the strength and courage required to live out one's faith authentically in a world that often values conformity over conviction. Share stories or examples of individuals who chose God's approval over human applause and the impact it had on their lives and faith.* Servanthood to Christ: Delve into what it truly means to be a servant of Christ — living a life that is dedicated to pleasing God rather than people. Discuss the transformative power this commitment has on our personal and spiritual growth. Conclusion:Choosing to seek God's approval over man's is a radical act of trust and faith. It signifies a deep understanding that our value and purpose are rooted not in what the world thinks of us, but in what God knows about us. This choice, while challenging, aligns us more closely with our identity as servants of Christ, liberating us from the chains of human validation.Call to Action:This week, take a moment to reflect on areas of your life where you may be seeking the approval of others over God's. Identify one specific action or decision you can make that prioritizes God's will and approval in your life. Commit to making that change, regardless of the potential for human disapproval.Question of the Day: Where do you find it most challenging to seek God's approval over human approval, and what steps can you take to strengthen your trust in God's guidance in this area?Let's Pray:Heavenly Father, grant us the courage and wisdom to seek Your approval above all else. Help us to listen for Your voice amidst the noise of the world and to trust in Your guidance even when it leads us away from the path of human approval. Strengthen our resolve to live as true servants of Christ, dedicated to pleasing You in all that we do. May our lives reflect our unwavering allegiance to You, and may we find our ultimate satisfaction and approval in Your loving embrace. Amen.As we move forward, let us carry the boldness of Paul's question in our hearts, choosing daily to live for the approval of the One who calls us His own. In embracing our identity as servants of Christ, we find not only freedom from the expectations of others but also the joy of walking in the fullness of God's plan for our lives. Let this be the compass that guides us, the light that leads us, and the voice that we trust above all others. My Reasons To Believe is a reader-supported publication. In the grand tapestry of life, where each thread is woven with decisions and crossroads, the whisper of God's guidance often competes with the clamorous voices of human influence. It's a pivotal moment of choice — to anchor our trust in the fleeting or in the everlasting. Today, we delve into the profound wisdom of Isaiah, seeking to understand the essence of placing our trust where it truly belongs, in the hands of our eternal Creator, rather than in the fallible hands of humanity.Scripture: Isaiah 2:22 - "Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?"This passage serves as a stark reminder of the transient nature of human existence and the folly of placing our ultimate trust in humanity's wisdom. It challenges us to examine where we place our trust and encourages us to redirect it towards God, whose wisdom, power, and presence surpass the limitations of human understanding and ability. Trusting God when He speaks to us involves a conscious decision to elevate His eternal perspective above the temporal opinions and influences of those around us.Focus Points (2 minutes):* Transient vs. Eternal: Recognize the fleeting nature of human life and wisdom. Contrast this with the eternal, unchanging nature of God and His word, highlighting the stability and reliability that comes from trusting in Him.* Discerning Voices: In a world filled with voices vying for our attention, learning to discern the voice of God is crucial. Discuss the importance of prayer, scripture, and silence in tuning into God's guidance, distinguishing it from the cacophony of human opinions.* Elevating Trust: Encourage listeners to consciously elevate their trust from the human to the divine. This involves not just a one-time decision but a daily, moment-by-moment choice to seek and follow God's direction over human counsel. Conclusion:The journey of trusting God over humans is a transformative process, requiring not only a shift in perspective but a steadfast commitment to seek His will above all else. Isaiah's words remind us that our trust should not be anchored in the transient, but in the eternal — in the One who created us, who knows our end from our beginning, and whose plans for us are grounded in love and eternal wisdom.Call to Action:This week, take a moment to reflect on where you've placed your trust. Identify one area of your life where you've been relying more on human wisdom than on God's guidance. Commit to seeking God's direction in this area, through prayer and meditation on His word, and make a conscious decision to trust His guidance over human opinion.Question of the Day: Where have you felt the tension between trusting God's voice and the voices of those around you, and how can you more firmly place your trust in God?Let's Pray:Father, help us to see beyond the temporary, to trust not in the fleeting wisdom of humanity but in Your eternal, unchanging truth. Teach us to discern Your voice amid the noise, to value Your guidance above all human counsel. Strengthen our faith to trust in You fully, knowing that Your plans for us are perfect and Your wisdom is infinite. In moments of doubt, remind us of Your steadfast presence and lead us back to the sure foundation of Your word. Amen.As we navigate the complexities of life, let us remember Isaiah's call to elevate our trust beyond the transient. In choosing to trust God's eternal voice over the fleeting breaths of human wisdom, we anchor ourselves in a trust that is unshakeable, guided by the whisper of God that leads us into everlasting truth. Let's embark on this journey of trust together, with our eyes fixed not on the seen, but on the unseen, where our true guidance lies.My Reasons To Believe is a reader-supported publication. In a world awash with the relentless waves of opinion, where every social current seeks to sweep us into the depths of conformity, how do we anchor our families in the truth? How do we teach them that the compass by which we navigate life isn't calibrated by the fleeting approval of others, but by the steady, unchanging approval of God? Today, we're charting a course through the tumultuous sea of people-pleasing, guided by a beacon of scripture that shines a light on the path of authentic servitude to Christ.Scripture: Galatians 1:10 - "Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ."This passage confronts us with a pivotal question: Whose approval are we seeking? It's a question that cuts to the core of our identity, our purpose, and our integrity. In the quest to protect our families, we must first examine the foundation upon which we stand. Are we building our lives and the lives of our family members on the shifting sands of human approval, or on the solid rock of divine truth?Protecting our families in this context means more than just guarding them against physical harm; it's about safeguarding their hearts and minds from the insidious lure of people-pleasing. It's about instilling in them the courage to stand firm in their convictions, even when it means standing alone.Focus Points (2 minutes):* Identity in Christ: Remind your family that their worth is not determined by the opinions of others, but by their identity in Christ. Encourage them to seek His approval above all else.* Courage to Stand Alone: Teach them that following Christ often means going against the current. Equip them with the courage to make choices that please God, even if it means facing criticism or rejection.* Authentic Servitude: Emphasize the importance of serving Christ with genuine hearts. Authentic servitude to God is incompatible with a life spent chasing human approval. Conclusion:The true protection we can offer our families doesn't come from shielding them from external judgments; it comes from strengthening their internal convictions. By anchoring our families in the truth of whose approval truly matters, we not only protect them from the storm of people-pleasing but empower them to navigate life with authenticity and purpose.Call to Action:This week, take time to discuss with your family the dangers of people-pleasing. Identify one area where you or your family may be seeking human approval over God's and make a conscious decision to realign your priorities.Question of the Day: Where have you felt the pressure to seek human approval, and how can you shift your focus to seeking God's approval instead?Let's Pray:Lord, help us to seek Your approval above all else. Strengthen our resolve to serve You with authentic hearts, unfazed by the opinions of others. Guide us in teaching our families to anchor their identities in You, to find courage in Your truth, and to live lives that reflect genuine servitude to Christ. May we always remember that Your approval is the only one that truly matters. Amen.As we sail through the tumultuous seas of life, let's remember that our true north lies not in the accolades of our peers, but in the steady, unwavering approval of God. By teaching our families to seek His approval above all, we equip them with an anchor that will hold fast through any storm. Homeopathic Narratives: How Nature Heals

If you have never heard of homeopathic medicine you are faced with two challenges: learning about something you never knew existed and realizing that despite the fact that it works it is still kept from many and even made illegal in certain countries and states. Homeopathic principles of cure are based on the secondary reaction of the body and use non-molecular codes of substance as seen in the quantum nature of DNA and RNA. Using codes from natural medicines. Unlike other system of medicine: allopathic medicine is about emergency medicine and suppressing and/or counteracting the body's response, which is needed in certain circumstances, but most of the time using the primary response (anti-venom/vaccines different); while medicines such as naturopathic and Chinese medicine work with the concentrated substance or edible substance – their medicines also go through the gut, and include teas and other molecular dilutions. Their medicines are always molecular and attempt to direct the body using the primary response. What a coded and quantum medicine is. The differences between the medical modalities and their uses. Why nature's way of healing is homeopathic. Why we need to do it nature's way. What Klaus Schwab's artificial intelligence algorithm based medicine means in the long term. How they worked at making sure you forgot all this! Although in the immediate need an injection may keep you alive, over a predicted amount of time all injected substances become a problem to the body.  Injecting anything into the body is most likely going to cause an autoimmune response. How the body's automatic brain has circuits that read code – what does disease look like and how does the body respond to suppression. Looking at the books suggested in Narrative One (N1) The Question of the Day: Where and how do we access first aid Homeopathy? Don't forget to email your questions that need answering to hownatureheals@gmail.com All views presented are based on credible sources, but they are explained through the individual's viewpoint.  Doing your own research while integrating new information is always important when forming your own viewpoint. The information in this podcast is not meant to address individual health needs, it is general in nature and should not be used as medical information for your health unless used in combination with your health practitioner.

We start the show by remembering Marcella and Gino’s Dad who passed away on this day 8 years ago. Then we introduce Gabrielle’s daughter and Marcella and Gino’s younger sister Jolee who is 15 years old. We ask her how she feels about being the baby of the family. She then shares that she stopped dancing and that she is in the process of trying out for a new girls singing group at Septien Entertainment Group. We share a story about Gino getting into a bar fight trying to protect Gabrielle a few years ago. Jolee talks about her favorite family moments being Marcella Moments which turns into a really funny conversation about Marcella not being a natural blonde but acting like one often. Jolee then shares the painful time as the owners daughter and the directors sister when we owned Prestige Dance and Performing Arts Centre. She talks about how mean the girls were and how she was constantly bullied and used by her peers. There was a lot of being left out and finding out about it on social media. She loved to dance but they ruined it because they were so mean and drove her to quit dance all together. We then talk about what a blessing homeschooling has been for Gino and Jolee and Marcella is still holding a grudge why she didn’t get home schooled. Gabrielle shares a story about the time when Jolee’s best friends from dance spent the night, went to the state fair the next day – and then got ghosted and completely ignored to this day, while the group went to a different dance studio and ignored phone calls to purposefully not include Jolee. We have not heard from those people in almost 3 years. Mind boggling. This is when Jolee joined DFW PAC in Southlake which has been the best experience. The kids there are all family. Anyone that has a child that likes to perform needs to check this school out. We talk about how important it is to keep Teens busy with extra curricular activities. P and P with Miss Polly:How can teens not fall into peer pressure? Statistics about teen sexual activities. Sexually transmitted diseases in teens. Question of the Day:Where would you live if you could in the entire world.

Reminiscing on my first podcast is my guest, Ramphis Castro. We sat down for my very first podcast in August of 2015 and he has watched it grow over the years. It was great to have him here with me again. Ramphis is a serial entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist that has impacted several companies across 40 countries. His quote sums him up very well, “I am a Computer Engineer and Lawyer by training, serial entrepreneur by experience, and grass-root ecosystem builder by conviction.” A Puerto Rican Native, Ramphis grew up by the beach with his dad, mom and three siblings. He is close to his family and had his mom instilling entrepreneurship in his mind from the beginning. The family always had little ways to make some extra spending money outside of their jobs, which taught Ramphis investing and ways to make money from a young age. He was fortunate enough to go to a school that taught English and went to an Engineering school for college. From there he was hired as a Microsoft, which was the hot company to work for at the time. He then started a consulting service company, had to learn from a few mistakes, and get back up. He has now owned several companies and has helped multiple companies by investing. 518: This Place Doesn't Feel Right; Understanding the Energy of the Places You Visit

Calmer in Five

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 28, 2018 4:59

Hello my friends and welcome to Five Minute Mojo.  I use the word autopilot a lot in my writing and podcasting because it is a fitting word for talking about how the majority of people go through life.  That’s not a judgment.  I don’t know what anyone is here to experience on this planet and I never will.  The only person who knows why they are here is that person.  Ironically enough the only way to determine why is with introspection and awareness, not unexamined reactions. The other day I was giving a talk about ways to become calm.  In my presentation there were the typical, or not so typical depending on who you are, ways to become calmer in the moment.  Deep breathing was mentioned as was taking a walk or smelling essential oils.  One thing I mentioned though is outside of the scope of commonplace and that is why I want to share it with you today. It has to do with the places where you spend your time.  We all have places that we go to regularly for food, gas, banking, etc.  But have you thought about why you go there?  For many people it’s convenience.  The supermarket is on the way home from work so it’s a quick stop in and you are on your way.  Think of this though.  Have you ever wondered what else is going on when you go into any place?  I’m not talking about anything sinister, I’m talking about energy.  I don’t want to sound all woo-woo but there is a benefit in understanding that every place we visit has an energy about it.  Skeptical or not, you can’t tell me you haven’t gone into a store or restaurant and felt that something was “off”.   Each place holds the energy of the people who have frequented there.  That energy is definitely from the people who are there everyday, working, but it’s also the people that go in and out and frequent there.   Become aware of the ways you feel wherever you go.  Don’t be judgmental but when you enter any place, feel how it resonates in your gut.  Your gut is your intuition.  Depending on where you go you may see a variety of people that you may not typically associate with on a regular basis.  It’s important to point out that judgments about a place from people’s physical appearance should not enter into your assessment.  Don’t allow any biases or prejudices to cloud your determination of the energy of the places you frequent. If the energy of the place seems light, meaning it creates a sense of calm and joy within you, then by all means continue spending time, energy and in some cases money there.  Do business with establishments that provide you with a sense of wellbeing. Conversely, regardless of convenience, if you find there are some places that seem heavy, the energy of the patrons and staff are angry, confrontational or brusque then simply make a decision not to go there.  Doing so negatively impacts your sense of calm and peace. I have an analogy that I share with people.  it’s like this.  Places with negative energy are like places with radiation. You wouldn’t spend time anywhere that was rife with plutonium, right.  Convenient or not you wouldn’t pick up a loaf of bread from a store that had radiation.  It would damage your health.  The same goes for places that have a negative energy about them.  They too create stress and impair your health.  Once you determine a place has a less than positive feel, stop going there. Let me bring it home for you with the question of the day.  Questions of the Day: Where was the last place you visited that left you uneasy.  It could be a store, office or even a home.  Is there a place now that you routinely visit that leaves you feeling restless when you leave?  Why do you continue to go there?  Convenience is not an option.  Remember the radiation analogy. These questions are for you and your growth.  Answer them honestly for yourself.  There are no right or wrong answers.  The questions are a way of you becoming better at understanding who you are.  If you found today’s episode helpful then share it with your friends.  Help them become better for themselves as well.  This is Thom Walters signing off for Five Minute Mojo.  Go make the rest of the day amazing, sleep tight and sweet dreams. Ep. 28: Life Lessons from the Civil War (Part III-Joseph Hooker)

In Episode 27 we learned there is an old English saying from the Bible (Proverbs 16:18), “Pride goeth before a fall.” That was certainly the case with Union General George McClellan, but also with General Joseph Hooker. Many times in 1862, the Northern armies greatly outnumbered their Southern foes, but the Rebel armies under the brilliant leadership of Lee, Jackson, and others, continually beat back the Yankee armies. When Lincoln named Hooker lead general of the Northern Army of the Potomac, Hooker boasted: “My plans are perfect, and when I start to carry them out may God have mercy on General Lee, for I will have none.”That boast reminds me of another old English saying: Don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched. In Hooker’s case, he should have had more humility and less conceit when taking on the wily Lee, even though Hooker’s men outnumbered Lee’s by about two to one! Despite those lopsided odds, Hooker managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, and led the Northern army to another horrific loss at the Battle of Chancellorsville.Lee’s stunning victory at Chancellorsville in May 1863 then gave him the confidence to invade the North, which led to the titanic struggle at Gettysburg in July. Had things at Gettysburg gone differently, Lee’s army might have invaded Washington, taken Lincoln prisoner, won the Civil War, and been independent! Truly an amazing “what if?” to think about. Word of the Day: conceited (adj.) overly prideful; arrogantQuestion of the Day: Where is the “fine line” between healthy self-confidence and conceit? Can one be confident, yet still humble? Peak Performers | Tools, Strategies & Psychology to Get Things Done

We answer your questions - Determining what to say yes to will greatly affect the quality of your life.  Learn to say NO!     Episode_42_QA_June_19_2016 Thor:    The question of the day is… FS:    This question of the day comes in from Diane from Ann Arbor, and Diane writes she’s heard you talk about taking your commitments very seriously and only saying yes to things once you’ve given it some real thought. She’s having trouble deciding how to know what to say yes to, what to say no to, and just in general how to go about the decision making process. Thor:    Great question. This comes up a lot with my clients, and I’ll tell you this. What a lot of people do is they follow the crowd or what other people are doing. A lot of times, that’s not the action you want to take or the direction that you want to take.     Here’s how I do it and here’s how most peak performers do it. First is we have an inner standard – an inner compass. We have a guideline in which we make decisions. I’ll give you a great example. After my divorce, I found myself single and I found the process of who I wanted to date and who I didn’t want to date kind of confusing. I think a lot of people enter into that area and go, “Okay, what does he or she look like? I want chemistry.” I kept hearing that word chemistry.  I said, “I want to get some idea of – how do I break that down so I’m not going through kind of a trial and error.” I said, “What’s important to me in a person?” I came up with six I’s. The first one is Identity. The second one is Interest. Third one, Eye Candy (I know it’s an E, but eye candy) – and these are in no particular order: Intimacy, Intellect, and the last one is Invisible – just kind of that gut feeling. So very quickly, as soon as I came up with this, I could very quickly go through, “Okay, is this someone I could see myself with long term? Are they intelligent enough? What are their interests? She has to have her interests and I have to my interests, but at some point, we have to have shared interests of course. As soon as I put that together, it made the process very easy, because I go out on a date or two and I’m like, “You know what? Our interests really aren’t aligned here. What her identity is showing up – and again, that one takes a little bit longer – is not the type of individual that’s going to be a good fit for me long term. So without that, it was kind of a trial and error and quite frankly, what do most guys lean towards if they don’t have any guidelines? FS:    The eye candy. Thor:    Exactly. FS:    Did you feel pressured to go that way initially? Thor:    Well, I didn’t have any other guideline or anything else to go by, you know? FS:    Yeah, so you talked to yourself. You consulted with yourself. Thor:    I stepped back and I said, “There’s got to be a better way of doing this.” FS:    You’ve talked about that before about having an inner dialogue that pushes you in your own direction, because that’s what peak performers do. They force their own path. Thor:    Absolutely. This way, we can make decisions quickly. You know, you don’t want to spend 50 dates trying to figure out if this is a good fit for you. FS:    Right. Thor:    And again, it wasn’t like, you know, black and white, check the box or something. But it gave me the guidelines and very quickly allowed me to move through that process. This needs to be a written process – and again, I’m not just talking about dating here. You’ve got to have a set of standards of what you’re willing to do, what you’re not willing to do, where you’re going. You’ve got to be focused on whether this action is going to move you closer to your goals or further away from your goals – The Ultimate Success Map – that’s what I use all the time. I go through that system: what do I want? What do I need? What’s an effective plan to get there? It’s got to be quantifiable, which is another aspect of it. How do I say yes and no to things? Is it moving me closer to my goals and do I have these inner dialogues that I have standards for, and this is the way that I proceed in life. FS:    And really you could make like a 6 I’s. Your 6 I’s were specific to relationships, but you could make a 6 I’s for anything. Thor:    You should! Absolutely. FS:    What business to purchase. Thor:    Yes. FS:    What weight loss program to choose. Thor:    Yeah, absolutely! Look, there’s many paths to success, okay? This is just not one path. But you’ve got to make sure that this path is going to get you to where you want to go. Too often, people spend too much time doing things that aren’t moving them in the right direction. The reason they don’t know that in many cases is because they have no inner standards. FS:    No inner set of guidelines and they commit too early. They commit before they’ve decided if they even can do that thing. Thor:    Absolutely. FS:    Yeah. Great, thank you so much. Thor:    All right. Question of the Day: Where in your life are you missing the standards – the guidelines? Call to Action: Figure out what those standards, those guidelines, that inner map. Quantify it, write that down, and use that in the decision making process.
