A local iwi in the Horowhenua says burying the remains of a dead whale was a sad occasion, but a useful lesson for their young people. A large New Zealand pygmy blue whale was found dead on the sands of Hokio Beach west of Levin. Dean Wilson, environmental manager for the Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, says after a short wananga, the decision was made to bury the tohora (whale) in the dunes behind the high-tide mark. Matt Goldman is a New York Times bestselling author and Emmy Award-winning television writer and producer. He has been nominated for a Writer's Guild Award, the Shamus Award and the Nero Award. Matt's television writing credits include Seinfeld, Ellen, Love & War, Working, Three Sisters, Level Up, Just Add Magic, The New Adventures of Old Christine and Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. He served as a consulting producer on Fox's Luis, Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, CBS's Gary Unmarried and Amazon's Just Add Magic. A man wearing a possible explosives belt has been shot dead in the Subirats area to the west of the Spanish city of Barcelona, local media report. It is believed that the man could be the fugitive from last week's attack. Earlier on Monday, police said that a Europe-wide manhunt was underway to find 22-year-old Younes Abouyaaqoub, the man who is believed to have been behind the wheel as a van plowed into people in Barcelona, killing 13 people and injuring more than 100 others.
