In 2002, superstar writer Grant Morrison dissected the familial relationships underpinning Marvel Comics' first family, with the four-issue Fantastic Four 1234. The result was a dark, distorted version - aided by artist Jae Lee - of the Fantastic Four, with the family fracturing as their arch nemesis Dr. Doom readies his final assault. Ryan dug it, Raman hated it. And in this episode, we agree on what Morrison is trying to do and disagree on whether they accomplished it. And just a few years later, Morrison uncorked an amazing 12-issue run with artist Frank Quietly on the limited series All Star Superman. Morrison and Quietly reimagine the Man of Steel, bringing to the forefront the sense of fun, ridiculousness, and oddball pop science that has characterized his adventures for decades. This run is unequivocally amazing, yet while the first six episodes is pure delight, presenting some of the most innovative Superman stories ever written, the narrative starts to lose its way in the latter half.

In this week's episode, the Z2 doesn't talk about Rogue One even though we all saw it as we are going to save that discussion for a later episode. However, we do talk about things that lead into Rogue One, such as Star Wars: Rebels which will have Saw Guerrera return for an episode which explains some things about his character in the movie. We talk about some exciting DC movie news as Ocean Master has been cast for the Aquaman movie, Gotham City Sirens is a go, and The Batman is confirmed for 2018. We keep the news segment short this week in order for Zach to talk about Chronicle since he's on a Max Landis high as of late, and he talks about the leaked script for Chronicle 2 that may have happened if things hadn't gone south for Max Landis and Josh Trank. We also have Z2 Comic Book Book Club this week, after finally getting around to reading We 3 by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Frank Quietly. We give our thoughts on this very brutal and heartbreaking story about good dogs, how we view animals as a society and how this book broke our hearts. As always, if you want to help out the show you can do so by leaving us a little rating or review to let us know what you think, and it helps our visibility. You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter both @z2podcast, and be sure to check out our website z2podcast.com if you're not listening to this episode on there.  Intro Music by: MDK Song Title: Press Start http://www.facebook.com/MDKOfficial http://www.youtube.com/MDKOfficialYT Buy the song here: http://www.mdkofficial.bandcamp.com/ Free Download: http://www.morgandavidking.com/free-downloads
