Send me a textHelping others doesn't mean sacrificing yourself. Learn how peer supporters can set boundaries without guilt, burnout, or blowing up relationships.Do you ever feel like you're always “on call” for your team, even when you're off? That might be a sign your peer support boundaries are too fuzzy. And here's the thing: blurry boundaries don't help anyone, not you, and not the people you're trying to support. In peer support, it's easy to slip into a mindset where you feel like you can't say no. Like if someone needs you, you have to drop everything and respond. But that's not sustainable. You can't pour from an empty cup, and you shouldn't feel guilty for taking care of your own mental and emotional health. In this episode, you'll learn how to set boundaries in a way that protects your energy and still communicates care. We'll talk about how to avoid burnout, how to recognize when you're giving too much, and how to create healthy limits that still allow you to be present and helpful.BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:How to recognize when your boundaries are being pushedWhat healthy peer support boundaries look like in real lifeHow to say “no” without guilt—and why it's one of the most caring things you can doThis episode will help you stay effective, avoid resentment, and model the kind of balance that actually helps your team thrive.Schedule a Call with Barthttps://www.survivingyourshift.com/consultationJoin us in Sulphur, LA, for a free CISM Group Crisis Intervention training, November 17–18. Distinctive Odours Associated with Yowie EncountersRotting Flesh or RoadkillThe most commonly reported smell linked to Yowie sightings is that of rotting flesh or roadkill—a foul, overpowering odour that can induce nausea or even vomiting.Rotting GarbageThe second most frequently described scent is that of rotting garbage. This odour is often considered to fall under the same category as rotting flesh, given their similar characteristics.Sulphur and Electrical SmellsA third reported odour includes a mix of sulphur, Bakelite, and burnt wiring. It is important to note that not all Yowie encounters involve these smells. Odour, Dread, and Aggressive ExperiencesThe presence of a pungent odour, combined with feelings of being watched and a nameless dread, is frequently associated with encounters that are perceived as aggressive. Such experiences are highlighted in reports from witnesses. The Pilliga: A Notorious Stretch of RoadThe lonely road between Coonabarabran and Narrabri, known as the Pilliga, has a reputation for strange occurrences. Truck drivers often refuse to stop there at night—even when faced with a flat tire. For decades, local service stations have displayed photographs of track damage attributed to unknown creatures.Nearby, Hickeys Falls offers a tranquil waterfall and swimming hole where drivers may pause for rest. Mysterious Road IncidentsWitnesses have reported incidents at Hickeys Falls where vehicles were run off the road by an unknown entity darting in front of them. This is not the first account of Yowies displaying such behavior; some witnesses believe these incidents are intentional, reflecting the creatures' heightened awareness of approaching cars on quiet rural roads. The phrase “Never stop in the Pilliga at night” is widely recognized and echoed among motorists and truck drivers.Encounters of Strength and ImpactThe experience described at Hickeys Falls mirrors the author's own encounter at Wee Jasper in May 2025—an impressive demonstration of strength by a creature more powerful than any human. The raw power of a Yowie is remarkable, and for those who experience it firsthand, the event often proves life changing. For more comprehensive information, reports and history of the Yowie, visit our Website at www.yowiehunters.comSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/yowiehunters-witness-reports. *This is the Free Content version of my interview with Ike Baker. To access the full interview, please consider becoming a Patreon member; alternatively, this episode is also available for a one-time purchase on Patreon (under 'Shop' tab). www.patreon/RejectedReligion My guest for the month of June is Ike Baker. In this episode, I'm joined by occultist and esoteric educator Ike Baker for a deep and wide-ranging conversation about his new book, Ætheric Magic. Geared toward both beginners and advanced practitioners, the book offers a full system of magical practice rooted in elemental, celestial, and alchemical principles—with æther as its central, unifying force. We begin by exploring Ike's background and what led him to develop this system. He shares his working definition of magic, and how he explains its function and value to skeptics and newcomers. From there, the conversation moves into subtle body theory and the nature of energy, with clear and thought-provoking distinctions between terms like soul, spirit, aura, and astral body. Drawing from sources like Egyptian metaphysics and Kabbalistic models, Ike breaks down how these ideas interact and where the ætheric level fits in. We also discuss the Tria Prima—Salt, Sulphur, and Mercury—and their sonic and energetic dimensions. Ike explains how certain tones, vowels, and vibrations can be mapped to the body, awakening deeper levels of consciousness and energetic flow. Along the way, he highlights historical thinkers who contributed to the broader understanding of ætheric energy, from Eliphas Lévi to Mesmer. There's much more covered in this interview than can fit here—so if you're curious about the deeper currents flowing beneath esoteric practice, this is a conversation you won't want to miss. In this episode of Homeopathy 247, Mary welcomes her friend and fellow homoeopath, Jessica de Barco. Now based in Colombia and working exclusively online, Jessica shares her deep experience with one particularly powerful remedy—Cina. Often known for its role in treating intestinal worms, Cina is far more than just a parasite remedy. Jessica explains how its emotional and physical reach can make a life-changing difference, particularly for children and families. The Link Between Parasites and Emotions Jessica explains that Cina is traditionally associated with pinworms and roundworms, especially in children. Classic signs include an itchy bottom, tantrums, bedwetting, and disturbed sleep. But in practice, many children don't show those typical signs—symptoms like joint pain, headaches, or just emotional instability can also be clues. She emphasises that parasite infections are far more common than most people realise. In many cases, only one family member is affected, despite good hygiene, suggesting a deeper susceptibility. Cina as a Clearing Remedy Jessica describes Cina as a clearing remedy, useful for starting the healing process. While it might help expel worms and calm behaviour, it's often just the first step. Long-term resilience, especially gut health, requires further support with other remedies. She also shares that children with autism or ADHD seem more prone to parasite issues, making Cina even more relevant in those cases. Emotional Outbursts and Behaviour Beyond the gut, Cina is a remarkable remedy for intense emotional behaviour. Jessica often sees children with directed aggression—tantrums aimed at siblings or parents, even hitting or throwing. It's not random anger; it's reactive, sharp, and often stems from internal restlessness. Unlike remedies like Chamomilla, where the child is distressed due to pain, the Cina child is irritable from within, almost like their body is being invaded. Jessica notes this as symbolic of the parasitic presence—an energy that doesn't belong. A Memorable Case Jessica shares a case of an 8-year-old boy with bedwetting, nightmares, fidgeting, and sudden violent outbursts. The mother felt helpless and overwhelmed. After a week on Cina, he passed worms, and within five weeks, he was calmer, more expressive, and more emotionally stable. Jessica observed a physical transformation as well—the boy looked less pale and thin, had more energy, and even started thriving socially and academically. Cina opened the door to deeper healing, which continued with follow-up remedies. Beyond Worms: Cina's Other Uses Cina also supports digestive discomfort, especially spasmodic pains around the navel, worse after eating. It's useful during teething, sometimes resembling Chamomilla, but with more irritability and anger. Jessica warns that if Cina doesn't work, don't give up on homoeopathy—it just means another remedy is more suitable. Remedies like Sulphur, Calcarea Carbonica, Teucrium, or constitutional support might be needed. Jessica's key message: Cina almost always has an emotional component. If you notice intense impatience, emotional outbursts, or behavioural disturbances alongside gut issues, Cina may be the remedy that helps bring balance—not just physically, but emotionally too. Two boys have a terrifying encounter with a Yowie in 1983, while camping at Fraser Island. The motivation for this Yowie going on the offensive, was more than likely due to the boys being close to, and taking interest in a very young juvenile sitting in a tree. The traits described in the interview are synonymous with many Yowie encounters - the smell of Sulphur, self illuminating eyes, the vocal dialect and spider like movements.Another life changing experience. This episode draws a line from the past to the present. From the mercury contaminated waters of Elem Indian Colony on shores of Clearlake, where I grew up near the Sulphur Bank Mine, to the proposed Resolution Copper mine at Oak Flat.We talk about what happens with poisoned water, collapsed land, and promises that never benefit the people. Oak Flat isn't just an Indigenous issue, it's an environmental crisis that will impact everyone in the region and state of Arizona.I break down the dangers of block caving, the 250 billion gallons of water the mine will drain, and how Arizona's groundwater laws are failing us all. What happened at Elem Indian Colony of the Elem Pomo people, is happening again. We still have time to stop it.

A new generation with a desire to dismantle the restrictive systems that define the past, but not their future. A Thousand Tiny Awakenings offers a glimpse into how a new generation perceives the world and how they use their own power to shape the future. Connor Lafortune is from Dokis First Nation on Robinson Huron Treaty territory of 1850 in Northeastern Ontario. He recently released a single in collaboration with Juno Award winner G.R. Gritt titled “Qui crie au loup? ft. Connor Lafortune.” Above all else, Connor is an activist, a shkaabewis (helper), and a compassionate human being. Lindsay Mayhew (she/her) is a spoken word poet and author from Sudbury, Ontario. She is a recent English Literature Master's graduate from the University of Guelph. Lindsay is the multi-year champion of Wordstock Sudbury's poetry slam, a runner up in the 2024 Womxn of the World poetry slam, and she has featured in events across Ontario, including the YWCA, JAYU Canada, Nuit Blanche, and Wordstock Literary Festival. There's a thin, unsteady line between the mundane and the terrifying, and sometimes we stumble across it without warning. These stories speak to that unsettling possibility—that evil is not only real but closer than we think. A janitor's harmless cleaning job reveals strange shadows and impossible footprints that seem to beckon him toward something unexplainable. A woman watching her aunt's dogs finds herself haunted by the basement stairs, her dreams pulling her into something dark and hungry. These aren't tales of imagination or coincidence; they're fragments of something more—glimpses of a hidden world where the rules we live by no longer apply. What's chilling about these encounters is the undercurrent of inevitability, the idea that evil isn't always waiting for an invitation—it's already here, woven into the fabric of ordinary moments. A face in the backseat warps into a monstrous visage. A casual experiment with black magic unravels a family. Hands from nowhere drag a man back into a nightmare he thought he'd escaped. Each story whispers the same truth: there are things in this world that don't just challenge what we believe—they shatter it. And once you've looked into the eyes of true evil, it's hard to ever feel safe again.
