Description written by our AI head writer @D@M Conover version 2 Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to "This is Keith Paesel," the show where we break all the rules of radio by bringing you the visual spectacle of watching TV! Because who needs to actually see the screen when you can have a riveting auditory experience of someone channel surfing? In our latest episode, we dipped our metaphorical toes into the vast ocean of television, navigating through the treacherous waters of random shows and questionable programming decisions. First up, we revisited the heart-wrenching drama of "The Death of Henry Blake" on M*A*S*H. Because nothing says entertainment like reliving the trauma of a beloved character meeting their fictional demise. But hold your tears, folks, because we quickly shifted gears to "The Death of Bobby Knight." No, not the actual death of the controversial basketball coach, but a riveting exploration of his most eyebrow-raising TV moments. Spoiler alert: he didn't throw any chairs during this broadcast, but he did express a profound love for arguing with referees. And speaking of strange characters, ever wondered about the guy who wrote "The Crow"? Us neither, but we dedicated a whole segment to unraveling the mysteries of his eccentricity. Spoiler alert: it involves a lot of black clothing and brooding in dimly lit rooms. But wait, there's more! We bring you the thrilling Heisler TV Championship Series Standings. Yes, you heard it right, folks! Who needs real sports when you can have an intense competition based on the beer brand prominently featured in your favorite TV shows? It's a high-stakes battle of brews, and we're here to give you the play-by-play! And finally, join us as we take a trip down memory lane with "This Week in 1996 Television." Because nothing says cutting-edge like reliving the glory days of sitcoms, questionable fashion choices, and the birth of the "Macarena" craze. So grab your remote controls, or just pretend to, and tune in to "This is keith paesel," where watching TV is an art form, and we've mastered the art of describing it on the radio. Because who needs visuals when you have our dulcet tones guiding you through the bizarre world of television? lintr.ee.com/keith paesel for the links!!!!

As museums and galleries in tiers one and two prepare to reopen on Wednesday, we consider what the future might look like for these much loved institutions. Has the pandemic changed their fundamental purpose or merely accelerated shifts that had already begun? What might museums and galleries look like as physical and social entities in ten years’ time? To explore these questions, Kirsty is joined by Jenny Waldman, Director of Art Fund, an organisation currently working to assist organisations in innovating to meet the challenges COVID 19 presents, and museum and gallery designer Dinah Casson, whose new book Closed on Mondays: Behind the Scenes at the Museum is released tomorrow. Screenwriter and director Henry Blake talks about his forthcoming film, County Lines. Inspired by the stories Blake heard while mentoring young people at an East London pupil referral unit, County Lines follows Tyler, a 14-year-old boy who is groomed into a criminal network trafficking drugs between communities. John Mullen has been making the case for re-reading Jane Austen throughout lockdown. Today, it's the turn of Emma. Welcome to the official launch of the Kibbe and Friends Show with myself, Justin "Corndog" Cornette, and Show Producer Bernie McPartland! How can we be launching a brand new show on it's 97th episode, you ask? Excellent question. The Kibbe and Friends show is effectively the second phase of what originally started as the Kibbe and Finnegan Show (which got it's start as just a segment on yet a different show) and show #97 is the next one in the cue. Our approach is akin to how Colonel Potter replaced Henry Blake on M*A*S*H than how Coy and Vance replaced Bo and Luke on the Dukes. But, since we're continuing the show format of cars, pop culture, news(ish), and Dukes of Hazzard reviews it only seemed fitting to keep the train rolling...which is why we're starting in on #97. Plus Finnegan will be on every now and then still as well as other fun friends you'll want to hear from too. With this show we're basically setting up the Boars Nets for the entire automotive media world to swing through for a couple watered down beers, stale popcorn, and fantastic waitresses. Believe it or not, but our first show out of the gate is with Ben Jones (aka Cooter Davenport) himself! Patreon Listeners: the all new Kibbe and Friends edition of the show - with Kibbe, Corndog, and Bernie has debuted - and thank you so much to the multitude of you who have joined in, stepped up your pledge, and have (basically) made it known that you wanted us to keep going and growing. We're still in, and it's our goal to make Patreon the place in 2019 far more than ever before. To get in on the action and support the show with a minor financial contribution just click the link below to sign up and get started! We have $2, $5 , and $10 monthly options available. You ROCK! For those of you that genuinely wanted some Kibbe and Finnegan merch....you are in total luck. We had absolutely zero time to get the logo switch made, so as of this very second...the old Kibbe and Finnegan "jump car" shirt is still available for the taking. As soon as we have the logo switch complete, we'll pull this off the market except for special occasion, such as the 4th of July, SEMA, and National Floorlamp Appreciate Day.  Visit KFSHOWSHIRTS.com to peruse for yours today.  The post K&F Show #97: The Official Launch of Kibbe and Friends…with a Feature Interview by Cooter Himself: Ben Jones! first appeared on The Muscle Car Place.

MASH! We discuss the novel, movie and beloved and acclaimed TV series. Richard Hooker's novel 'MASH, A Novel About Three Army Doctors' started a dynasty that was continued in film by Robert Altman in the film MASH in 1970 starring Elliott Gould, Donald Sutherland, Sally Kellerman, Robert Duvall, Roger Bowen, Gary Burghoff and more. Due to the popularity of the 11 years of the TV series M*A*S*H, the names Benjamin Franklin Hawkeye Pierce, Trapper John, Henry Blake, Radar O'Reilly, Hot Lips Houlihan, Frank Burns and more are now household names thanks to Alan Alda, Wayne Rogers, McLean Stevenson, Larry Linville, Harry Morgan, Jamie Farr, Loretta Swit, Mike Farrell, David Ogden Stiers, Allan Arbus and many others. We discuss our favorite moments and why we love the show so much. Also an epic mailbag of randomness.

Kenny Mittleider from Knights of the Guild & Confessions of a Fanboy Podcasts, Simon Meddings from Waffle On Podcast and Al Kessel from Tales from the Mouse House, Fast Forward & Just Because Podcast discuss one of the most successful and longest running television series in history.. M*A*S*H Today we cover Season 1, Episode #16 -The Ringbanger Directed by Jackie Cooper Written by Jerry Mayer Production code J316 Original air date January 21, 1973 Set during the Korean War in the 1950’s Plot Summary: Hawkeye and Trapper conspire to take down a colonel who has accumulated twice as many casualties while only gaining as much as half of the ground, marking the first of several such attempts from Hawkeye. In an effort to achieve this, they convince him that Frank Burns is a crossdresser and that Henry Blake is an alcoholic who is having a sordid affair with the promiscuous Margaret Houlihan. These stories achieve the purpose of rendering Hawkeye and Trapper the only two people in camp Buzz can be sure are trustworthy. A little manipulation and some conveniently timed events add some apparent proof to these claims. For example, when Buzz is drinking with them in the Swamp, they leave a pair of gold high heeled shoes by Frank's bed. Later, Frank tries to check Buzz's leg to see if it is healing properly, and he is rebuffed by Buzz, who suspects that he has romantic or sexual intentions. When Margaret becomes suspicious, Hawkeye and Trapper tell her that Buzz is suffering from low self-esteem and heavily imply that he needs intimate contact with a woman to prove that he is still a man. While he is alone with Margaret, they get Henry Blake very drunk and give him a pistol (telling him that he needs to undertake an arms proficiency test) and arrange for him to walk in on the two of them and encourage an angry, drunken response. Throughout the episode, they undertake more subtle measures to try to convince him that, among these people he cannot trust, he is going mad. Such measures include switching his tent, leaving him confused about whether it has been there the whole time, and telling him to drink his glass of milk that he so fervently asked for, despite his never having asked for a glass of milk. At the end, convinced that there must be something wrong with him, Buzz is shipped back stateside.
