Nun lässt sich der größenwahnsinnige Trump von Benjamin Netanjahu vor den Karren spannen, zettelt einen völlig unsinnigen Krieg an, der allen Beteiligten nur Nachteile bringt und muss jetzt zähneknirschend die Mullahs in Teheran diktieren lassen, wo es langgeht. Die einzigen, die gestärkt aus dieser Schlacht hervorgehen sind die Kleriker, die das Land seit Jahrzehnten unterjochen. Für die Bevölkerung des Iran wird es noch schlimmer werden. Die einzige Hoffnung ist, dass das Regime implodiert und die demokratischen Kräfte endlich ans Ziel kommen, nach 10.000enden, die im Widerstand getötet wurden.Benjamin Netanjahu spielt weiter mit dem Feuer. Unbeeindruckt von Trump und von den Machthabern im Iran greift er weiter die Hisbollah im Libanon an. Und riskiert damit, dass der Konflikt nicht befriedet wird, sondern weiter eskaliert. Merkels Satz von der historischen Verantwortung Deutschlands für Israel - Angela Merkel „Israels Sicherheit ist Teil deutscher Staatsräson“ hängt uns Deutschen schwer in den Klamotten. Aber vergessen wir nicht: Philosemitismus ist genauso falsch wie Antisemitismus. Man kann die Politik Netanjahus nicht gutheißen, weil es den Holocaust gab. Was die israelischen Siedler machen, die Kompromisslosigkeit Israels, die Verweigerung von Gesprächen über eine 2-Staaten-Lösung – das alles wird dafür sorgen, dass dieser Krieg niemals endet. Evangelikale Christen halten mir gemeinsam mit orthodoxen Juden entgegen, „dass Gott höchstselbst Israel dieses Land gegeben hat“. Entschuldigung: das kann ja wohl kein Argument dafür sein, dass permanent Völkerrecht gebrochen wird. Diese Argumentation, Gott auf ihrer Seite zu haben, ist ein Kennzeichen aller radikalen und intoleranten Religionsvertreter. Das muss endlich mit der Staatsräson vom Verhandlungstisch. Taboos are generally things that are considered "forbidden" by society for various reasons, but what we start with are personal taboos rather than at the society level, but we do talk about that too. Taboos for me in humour are animal cruelty, sexual violence, racism, sexism and ableism, all to varying degrees but animal cruelty is the main one. I really hate it when a joke involves killing or harming an animal. When it comes to personal taboos I don't tend to become a "Karren" about it, when I personally have an issue with a type of humour I'll generally turn away from it rather than assume everyone thinks like me and go on a tirade. Society level taboos are different, sometimes it's culturally based, like taboos about comedy based on religion, national heroes, nationalism, etc, it could be political, it can be touchy subjects like racism, sexual violence, cannibalism, sexism etc, or even silly things like toilet humour and bodily functions! There can be good reasons for both avoiding taboos completely and also tackling them head on directly. One of my favourite TV sitcoms is It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia which makes a point of constantly taking taboos head on. A general rule about taboos and touchy subjects in humour is to "punch up" rather than "punch down", which means it's not cool to go after the vulnerable, instead go after the empowered and entitled. But that doesn't mean you should infantilise the groups you deem worthy of protecting and treat them like that have no agency or humour, that can be just exactly as bad as attacking them directly because in both instances you are dehumanising them. A great instance of tackling a taboo in humour is Robert Downey Jnr's blackface in Tropic Thunder. Blackface is a taboo because it was about creating a dehumanising caricature of black people in order to denigrate them. The blackface in Tropic thunder isn't used that way at all, it's making fun of the character who is doing the blackface, his entitlement, overweening arrogance and gall to think he should be able to get away with it, as well as the ridiculousness of the situation. Do you have personal taboos that you don't joke about? Zwei US-Medienschwergewichte mobilisieren gegen Kriegstreiber Netanjahu und TrumpEin Kommentar von Rainer Rupp.Erstaunlicherweise hat ausgerechnet die sonst so Israel-freundliche New York Times (NYT) Ende letzter Woche in einem ausführlichen Artikel dokumentiert, wie der rechtsradikale israelische Ministerpräsident Netanyahu Trump vor seinen Karren gespannt und in den völkerrechtswidrigen Angriffskrieg gegen Iran getrieben hat. Netanjahu habe ein sofortiges, notfalls unilaterales israelisches Handeln gegen Iran als unausweichlich dargestellt. Trump und ein großer Teil seiner Administration seien ideologisch verblendet und hätten die ernst zu nehmenden Warnungen von militärischen Stimmen, aber auch die von JD Vance und Außenminister Marco Rubio einfach ignoriert.Dieser landesweit vielbeachtete Artikel der NYT unter dem Titel „How Trump Took the U.S. to War With Iran“ („Wie Trump die USA in den Krieg gegen Iran geführt hat“), macht vor allem Israels Premierminister Benjamin Netanjahu und dessen Geheimdienstchef dafür verantwortlich, Trump in den Krieg hineinmanipuliert zu haben. Über Monate hinweg habe der israelische Kriegstreiber intensiv für einen gemeinsamen Großangriff auf Iran geworben. Ein entscheidendes Treffen am 11. Februar 2026 im Weißen Haus – inklusive einer hochgeheimen Präsentation im Lage-Zentrum – habe Trump schließlich von einer zögerlichen Haltung zur Beteiligung an den groß angelegten Militärschlägen an der Seite Israels bewegt. Dagegen vermuten bösen Stimmen im Internet, dass der eigentliche Grund für Trumps Einknicken darin lag, dass Netanjahu ihm einige alte Mossad-Fotos von Trump bei einer Epstein „Pizza-Party“ gezeigt hat.Aber machen wir weiter im Narrativ der NYT.: In den Monaten vor dem 11. Februar habe Netanjahu die US-Regierung wiederholt zu militärischem Handeln gedrängt und dies mit der Notwendigkeit begründet, Irans Atomprogramm, dessen Raketenarsenale und regionalen Einfluss einzudämmen. Israelische Vertreter signalisierten zudem, notfalls allein zu handeln – was in Washington den Eindruck von Dringlichkeit und Unvermeidbarkeit verstärkt habe. Bei dem fast dreistündigen Treffen am 11. Februar wurden dann konkrete Angriffspläne, Zeitfenster erörtert, ebenso wie die Risiken, dass ein Erfolg der laufenden diplomatischen Gespräche den zionistischen Kriegstreibern einen Strich durch ihre Pläne machen könnte, was Netanjahu auf jeden Fall verhindern wollte.Interessant ist, wie ex-CIA-Analyst Larry Johnson die Veröffentlichung der New York Times politisch einordnet. Sie sei als klassischer Versuch Washingtons zu sehen, die Verantwortung für eine aus dem Ruder gelaufene US-Politik abzuwälzen. Vizepräsident JD Vance und – in geringerem Maße – Marco Rubio erscheinen dabei als Stimmen der Vernunft, während General Dan Caine, der ranghöchste US-Offizier als zu schwach gelte, um Trump entgegenzutreten. Die Hauptverantwortung für das US-Desaster im Iran sieht Johnson jedoch bei Kriegsminister Pete Hegseth. Johnson prognostiziert, dass die USA in Kürze ihre Angriffe wieder aufnehmen werden – mit der Folge iranischer Gegenschläge gegen Israel und gegen US-Basen in der Region, sowie die Zerstörung weiterer arabisch-amerikanischer Industrieanlagen und Infrastruktur. Gottesbilder sind nie nur privat – sie prägen, wie wir über Autorität, Freiheit und Politik denken. Manuel und Stephan fragen in dieser Folge, wie theologische Vorstellungen kippen können und warum manche Gottesbilder Menschen für autoritäre Ideologien empfänglich machen. Im «Hallelujah der Woche» erzählt Stephan von einer berührenden Begegnung: Sein Sohn freundet sich ganz selbstverständlich mit einem Jungen aus einer geflüchteten Familie an – ein kleiner Moment, der zeigt, wie unkompliziert Offenheit eigentlich sein könnte. Manuels «Stossgebet» dagegen hat mehr mit Druck zu tun: Er ringt immer noch mit einem überfälligen wissenschaftlichen Aufsatz zum Thema christlicher Nationalismus und spürt den selbstverursachten Stress im Nacken. Im «Thema der Woche» geht es um die Macht der Gottesbilder. Denn wie man sich Gott vorstellt – als strengen Kontrolleur, als patriarchalen Hausherrn oder als nationalen Souverän – prägt, wie man über Gehorsam, Freiheit, Politik und gesellschaftliche Ordnung denkt. Manuel und Stephan zeigen, warum diese Vorstellungen politisch wirksam werden und wieso sie in vielen rechten Bewegungen eine zentrale Rolle spielen. Sie sprechen über die «Big-God»-Theologie des «neuen Calvinismus», die leicht in eine Sehnsucht nach starken Führern kippt; über patriarchale Hausordnungen, die Top-down-Gehorsam einüben und spirituellen Missbrauch begünstigen; und über christliche Nationalismen, die Gott zum Garanten einer «christlichen Nation» machen und Pluralismus als Bedrohung framen. Zum Schluss betont Stephan, dass es doch eigentlich gerade zum Wesen reformierter Theologie gehört, Gottes Unverfügbarkeit festzuhalten: Gott darf nicht vor den Karren einer politischen Agenda gespannt werden. Wer Gottes Willen zu direkt in politische Programme übersetzt, verrät diese theologische Grundintuition. Genau hier liegt eine wichtige Gegenkraft zu autoritären Gottesbildern: Ein Gott, der sich nicht vereinnahmen lässt, legitimiert auch keine unantastbaren Führerfiguren, keine sakralisierte Nation und keine «göttliche Ordnung», die sich jeder Kritik entzieht. Die Unverfügbarkeit Gottes schützt vor religiöser Übergriffigkeit – und öffnet Raum für demokratische Verantwortung, Irrtumstoleranz und gemeinsames Ringen um das Gute. Eine Folge über die politische Sprengkraft theologischer Bilder – und darüber, warum es entscheidend ist, wer unser Gottesbild prägt und welche Konsequenzen daraus folgen.

Der argentinische Präsident Javier Milei tritt gerne mit einer Kettensäge auf.
