An interview with Brett Gregory, writer and director of the award-winning film ‘Nobody Loves You and You Don't Deserve to Exist'. We explore the film's themes of austerity, poverty and the high cost of living, and the wreckage they have brought to the lives and mental health of so many in the UK. Tony Award Winning Playwright Itamar Moses stopped by Playwright's Spotlight. Chock full of humorous moments, Itamar shares his experience adapting the cherished animated film An American Tale for the stage, children's ability to suspend disbelief, and avoiding dumbing down the material for a younger audience. We also discuss when it's time for a table read and recognizing when the pace is slowing down during the developmental process. In addition, we talk about the impact of Tony Kushner's Angels in America in Itamar's playwriting career, his journey through NYU and pathway to the Tony's, craft vs voice and ambition, how to make something work, and the importance of always getting the story right first. We close the conversation with getting commissioned and what it entails as well as the death of theatre. In the sixty-eighth episode of the Hammer & Camera podcast, we have the privilege of discussing a truly unique film and interviewing its filmmakers. Nobody Loves You and You Don't Deserve to Exist is a work of socialist absurdism, a gonzo filmmaking production that attempts to reveal profound truths about human existence under late capitalism. We offer our review of the film and interview director Brett Gregory and producer Jack Clarke about their inspirations, the film's storied production, and how audiences have responded. When it comes to writing songs for the world of musical theater, composer-lyricist Gaby Alter remains committed to getting it right. The process of serving the story, how a character can change over the course of a song, and making smart musical choices, are all key components that Alter continues to explore when making music for the stage. His most notable works include the musicals Band Geeks, Stars of David, and the New York critically acclaimed hit, Nobody Loves You, which he co-wrote with Tony Award-winning playwright, Itamar Moses. In this episode, Alter looks back at how he fell into the world of writing musicals in his hometown of Berkeley, California, his decision to move to New York, and how he and Itamar pitched Disney to write for the animated film Tinkerbell and The Pirate Fairy. Alter also talks about his work as a solo artist under the name Yes Gabriel, and the development of a new musical, Radio 930 set in East Berlin during the Cold War in the 1970's.

Honeyroot - Heavy Drops A Flashback Mix By Mr. Turner https://hypeddit.com/track/p7e3lp Honeyroot is an ambient dance collaboration between Glenn Gregory and Keith Lowndes, signed to the independent record label Just Music. The project had its origins in the 1997 album, Skyscraping, by ABC. As ABC was essentially Martin Fry, after the departure of founding member Mark White, Lowndes and fellow Sheffield native Gregory of Heaven 17, were brought in for co-songwriting duties on the album. Lowndes and Gregory's first album, Sound Echo Location, was released in the UK and Australia in 2003 and in the US in 2004.[1] Honeyroot reached the UK Singles Chart in May 2005 with their ambient cover version of the Joy Division song, "Love Will Tear Us Apart", which also appeared in the Scottish film, Red Road. 2006 saw an online only release entitled "EP1". The Sun Will Come (2007) featured two singles, the double A-sided, "Nobody Loves You (The Way I Do)" b/w "Heavy Drops" and "Where I Belong". Though known primarily as the front man for Heaven 17, Glenn Gregory sings on just two tracks on The Sun Will Come; leaving remaining vocal duties to a variety of female singers including Briony Greenhill ("Nobody Loves You"), Kim Richey, Kerry Shaw, Elsie Wooley and Lindsay Crisp.
No One Loves You, Human Nature 101. He/She may act like they love you, but they do not. They may love how you make them feel or they may love what you can provide, but they do not love you. The only person that can truly love you is YOU. Nobody Loves You! The sooner you figure that out the better off you will be. No one is here to save you. No one can save you. You must learn to save yourself. Truth is not meant to be politically correct the truth is meant to hurt. I hope this video hurts, because knowing this will either break you or force you to grow. This channel will help you understand human nature. Email me for content suggestions & coaching - authenticmentalgrowth@gmail.com Say hi on social: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/authenticmen... Reality television is lampooned a lot — and loved a little bit, too — in a new musical now running at Second Stage Theatre. Written by the playwright Itamar Moses and the composer and lyricist Gaby Alter, Nobody Loves You follows a philosophy student’s televised pursuit of his girlfriend on a reality show that looks a lot like "The Bachelor." Other contestants, a telegenically smarmy host, and even a Twitter-addicted fan, all make appearances. New York Times theater critic Charles Isherwood tells us how successful Nobody Loves You is at parodying a genre that sometimes looks like a parody itself.
"Nobody Loves You" is Leandro Blanco's homage to sharks, and his expression of deep concern for their future. In this short beautifully edited film, a number of disturbing facts about shark fishing, shark finning and shark population decline are presented. Images of graceful healthy Tiger Sharks are juxtaposed with tragic scenes of shark fishing and finning, all set to Leandro's original song, "Nobody Loves You." Born in Spain, Leandro Blanco is an internationally acclaimed filmmaker who has a background in music composition, recording and production. He is a professional airline pilot with a passion for nature and underwater imaging. His film editing and compositing techniques distinguish his work; and the awards he has received internationally are too numerous to mention. For more information on Leandro, please go to the Filmmakers Page at http://DiveFilm.com.
