It's all given him a wide-ranging perspective on life and success. Jon Ebert, founder of Single Stone Counseling, comes from a lineage of pastors. Perhaps that's why his work focuses on religious leaders, who can feel ashamed to admit they're struggling. In his very first “Mighty Mite” football game at age six, on a play called “Splat Green Sweep Right,” Jordan Kunaszyk scored a 60-yard TD. Today he's an NFL veteran who's played for Carolina, Washington, and Cleveland. But Jordan isn't shy about admitting that the journey in between—like his personal faith journey—has had plenty of ups, downs, and false starts. This week Jordan talks with Redeemed founder Paul Amos about both journeys and what he's learned along the way—about perseverance, living a moral life, putting God's word first, and maintaining a strong faith even through frustrating times.Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The Redeemed is an organization giving men from all backgrounds a supportive, judgment-free environment, grounded in Christian love without demanding participation in any faith tradition, where they can open up about their challenges, worries, and failures—and celebrate their triumphs over those struggles. As a doctoral candidate in counselor education and vice president of the American Association of Christian Counselors, Zach Clinton has seen up close our society's epidemic of depression, loneliness, and hopelessness. In this week's podcast, he talks with Redeemed founder Paul Amos about ways men can combat that epidemic, build emotional and spiritual resilience, and overcome the things standing in the way of a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God. Resilience, he says, can be summed up with the two words that form the title of his new book, Even If: Even if the world bombards us with challenges, pressures, and temptations, by staying true to our faith, family, friends, and principles we can achieve courageous and fulfilling lives.Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The Redeemed is an organization giving men from all backgrounds a supportive, judgment-free environment, grounded in Christian love without demanding participation in any faith tradition, where they can open up about their challenges, worries, and failures—and celebrate their triumphs over those struggles. At just 16 years old, Jonathan Irons was tried as an adult, convicted, and sentenced to 50 years in prison—all for a burglary and assault he didn't commit. Strengthened by his faith and a prison ministry that believed in him, he endured 22 years of incarceration before being released in 2020. Today, he and his wife, former WNBA superstar Maya Moore, run Win With Justice, a nonprofit educating the public about how the justice system works, the potential for abuses that exist—and how people can help prisoners looking for a second chance. Nine years ago, Daniel Brooker lost the only woman he'd ever loved, his wife Lyndsie, to ovarian cancer. As he struggled to stay strong in his faith and communicate what he was feeling to others, he discovered that while there are many support groups and resources for widows, there were glaringly few for widowers. The experience prompted him to found Refuge, a ministry for men dealing with the loss of a beloved spouse. This week Daniel talks with Redeemed founder Paul Amos about his journey and everything he's learned from it, one of the most important being how to (and how not to) communicate with someone who's suffered a monumental loss: “Don't tell someone it's going to be OK—stay with them until they can say it themselves.” Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The Redeemed is an organization giving men from all backgrounds a supportive, judgment-free environment, grounded in Christian love without demanding participation in any faith tradition, where they can open up about their challenges, worries, and failures—and celebrate their triumphs over those struggles. If many men these days act like boys—fighting, racking up sexual conquests, obsessing over childish pursuits—author Steven Arms says it might be because nobody ever told them, “You're a man now.” Steven, on the other hand, did hear that from his father and male relatives at the “rite of passage weekend” they put together for him when he turned 13. Now, through his book Milestone to Manhood and the accompanying website and podcast, Steven gives other men tips on how they can have these bonding weekends with their own sons. This week Steven talks with Redeemed founder Paul Amos about rites of passage and how men of all generations can benefit from them—and how such rites of passage can also be valuable for daughters, as well as boys growing up in homes without fathers.Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The Redeemed is an organization giving men from all backgrounds a supportive, judgment-free environment, grounded in Christian love without demanding participation in any faith tradition, where they can open up about their challenges, worries, and failures—and celebrate their triumphs over those struggles. An interest in health and fitness that Brannen Dorman developed as a young kid eventually took him to Wheaton College, where he was a fullback on the football team; to coaching at schools in Florida; and now to Training Think Tank in Alpharetta, Georgia, where he helps athletes and others set fitness performance goals and plan how to achieve them. Though the world of fitness is “not a Christ-centric space,” Brannen has still found openings to talk about his faith, particularly with athletes who find themselves disillusioned by the win-at-all-costs attitude prevalent in sports—or just by modern life in general. Brannen talks with Paul Amos about the intersection between faith and fitness, as well as raising a family of faith, in this week's podcast.Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The Redeemed is an organization giving men from all backgrounds a supportive, judgment-free environment, grounded in Christian love without demanding participation in any faith tradition, where they can open up about their challenges, worries, and failures—and celebrate their triumphs over those struggles. Greg Countryman didn't make it from special-ed student to quadruple-degreed college graduate, professor, and now sheriff of Muscogee County, Georgia, without gaining some important insights along the way. This week the three-decade law enforcement veteran talks with Paul Amos about his personal journey, the challenges one faces as a high-profile public servant, and the hallmarks of good leadership. One key is knowing when to be willing to compromise, but there are some things, he says, that you should never compromise on—first and foremost, putting the Lord first and striving to do things “God's way, not your way.”Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The Redeemed is an organization giving men from all backgrounds a supportive, judgment-free environment, grounded in Christian love without demanding participation in any faith tradition, where they can open up about their challenges, worries, and failures—and celebrate their triumphs over those struggles. The theme for the month of October at The Redeemed is leadership, and in this podcast Paul Amos and Nate Dewberry introduce the topic by talking about what they've learned—not just as leaders of companies or organizations, but as leaders of families. Among those lessons: Don't be afraid to make mistakes, but don't let those mistakes define your identity, either; don't just assume that the “view from the top” is the right one; and always value people for who they are, not just what they can do for you. The last one is particularly important to being a good leader as a father, for as Paul says, if you can't demonstrate love to other people, they'll figure it out pretty quickly.Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The Redeemed is an organization giving men from all backgrounds a supportive, judgment-free environment, grounded in Christian love without demanding participation in any faith tradition, where they can open up about their challenges, worries, and failures—and celebrate their triumphs over those struggles. Blake Russell says he was “19 years old but with a Hollywood-sized ego” when he went from merely doing drugs to selling them. That arrogance would cost him a promising baseball career, a girlfriend—and, eventually, his freedom, as he spent years in prison for trafficking methamphetamine. In prison, though, he had a “sentimental moment” that guided him to God and forever changed his life. Blake, now out of prison and serving as ministry director of Take the City in Columbus, Georgia, talks with Paul Amos about that moment of salvation, the bad decisions that led up to it, and how his life has taken on newfound conviction, humility, and meaning since then.Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The Redeemed is an organization giving men from all backgrounds a supportive, judgment-free environment, grounded in Christian love without demanding participation in any faith tradition, where they can open up about their challenges, worries, and failures—and celebrate their triumphs over those struggles. The theme for August at The Redeemed is stories of hope and restoration. Paul Amos and Nate Dewberry give a brief introduction to that theme in this short edition of The Redeemed Man podcast, emphasizing the importance of sharing our stories with one another—both the stories of our sins and failings and the stories of our triumphs. Ultimately, we have to remember that any truly inspiring redemption story has to include some struggle.Mike Malone's life has certainly seen its share of challenges and low points, but none were more devastating than the cancer diagnosis he received in 2016. His treatment and recovery were long and at times painful, but over the course of that struggle, he learned things that transformed his life—how his prior experiences had prepared him for the battle; how he could let go of anger and bitterness he'd been carrying around for years; and how God was using cancer to help him become a better man. Mike talks with Nate Dewberry about all these revelations in this week's podcast, as well as the importance of a loving wife and what we should really be looking for when we open the Bible.Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The Redeemed is an organization giving men from all backgrounds a supportive, judgment-free environment, grounded in Christian love without demanding participation in any faith tradition, where they can open up about their challenges, worries, and failures—and celebrate their triumphs over those struggles. Getting a glimpse of one of dad's Playboy magazines is so common it's treated as a rite of passage for many men, but beneath that patina of innocence lies the potential for real and lasting damage. Rev. Michael Cusick was first exposed to porn at age 4 and by his teen years was a full-blown porn addict; it continued to blossom into a sex addiction that nearly destroyed his marriage. But he turned his life around and founded Restoring the Soul, a ministry that combines therapeutic principles with scripture to help men overcome unhealthy sexual dependencies. Michael talks with Paul Amos in this week's podcast about the real damage porn addiction can do and how men can break free of it to lead more fulfilling lives.Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The Redeemed is an organization giving men from all backgrounds a supportive, judgment-free environment, grounded in Christian love without demanding participation in any faith tradition, where they can open up about their challenges, worries, and failures—and celebrate their triumphs over those struggles. Jeff Struecker's 23-year career in the United States Army has taken him from the training grounds of Fort Moore to the bloody streets of Iraq and Somalia. Billy Blanchard inherited a proud legacy indeed—that of his father James Blanchard, the Georgia business icon who led Synovus Financial Corporation through an era of rapid growth and created a forum at Columbus State University to promote the principles of servant leadership. But that still left Billy with the question of how to pass that legacy on to his own children—and what kind of a new legacy to create for himself. In this podcast, Billy talks with Paul Amos about the values he inherited from his parents and the values he's trying to instill in his kids in an often difficult and unforgiving world.Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The theme at The Redeemed for the month of May is creating a family faith legacy. In this podcast, founder Paul Amos and director Nate Dewberry introduce listeners to that topic by telling their own stories—not just of the strong legacies that they inherited, but also of how they re-committed to those legacies after hitting low points in their lives, and what they're doing to pass along those strengthened legacies to new generations. Over the course of their conversation, they touch on topics such as the important roles of women in a family, overcoming shame, and being present for one's children—demonstrating that a faith legacy is a combination of many more factors than we might realize.Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! Jason McKenzie's seemingly perfect life—his own business, an active lifestyle, a loving marriage—was devastated in an instant when his wife Natalie committed suicide in 2011. Though he kept his pain inside for years, he eventually realized just how desperately his experience, wisdom, and compassion were needed at a time when the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic was driving suicide rates sky-high. In this conversation with Paul Amos, Jason touches on grief, patience, and staying faithful through dark times. He also offers powerful advice, learned through experience, for those who have contemplated suicide themselves: Never lose sight of the bigger picture, and always be willing to offer forgiveness—not only to others, but to yourself.Visit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! After a successful military career that included the liberation of Baghdad in 2003, Marine infantryman Jeremy Stalnecker struggled to find an identity or meaning outside of his military career—and his relationships suffered as a result. But after meeting with fellow vets 10 years later, he realized God had found him a purpose helping hurting veterans through the Mighty Oaks Foundation. In this podcast, Jeremy talks with Paul Amos about losing one's identity, regaining it, and finding a life beyond our most traumatic experiences. Trauma may be an indelible part of our past, he explains, but finding purpose and direction in Christ can keep it from controlling us. On our first episode of The Redeemed Man Podcast, Paul Amos, founder of The Redeemed men's ministry, talks with guest Jeff Struecker. Jeff Struecker is a founding pastor of 2 Cities Church in Columbus, Georgia. Jeff talks about rediscovering our true worth in the context of God's original purpose for our existence—not an easy thing to do in a world in which we're constantly told our purpose is acquiring wealth and influence. Refocusing our lives on that purpose, he says, is essential to fixing what's broken inside us. “Our beauty and value and self-worth have all been terribly distorted, and it was us that distorted it."
This week's podcast, Trey sits down with Paul Amos of The Redeemed. Paul Amos II is the son of Aflac's chairman and CEO — and grandson of one of the company's three founders. I wanted to share with you how Homecon went for me and hopefully get you excited to participate in Homecon 2.0. I mispronounce probably 80 % of the names, but at least I tried. :D Just a few updates that i was not aware of while I recorded this - Rachel Skarsten and Paul Amos have been teasing a lot about Homecon 2.0, so it might happen sooner than we think, also I watched all of the episodes of Vagrant Queen and yes, it is kind of similar to Killjoys, but different enough that I can say now I am very much into it. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fae-for-thought/message

Paul Amos joins Jeremy to watch THE GREAT DICTATOR and is shocked by his reaction to the film…
Paul Amos is a fantastic actor and immense fun. He has taken fans by storm in his roles on TV, notably in Lost Girl. However, it's as his alter-ego in the Syndicate - the Victorian installment of the Assassin's Creed saga that has seen his popularity soar. As Jacob Frye, one half of the Frye Twins (check out my site for interview with Victoria Atkin, aka Evie Frye) he has garnered support worldwide including a dark xxx rated blog on Tumblr where the stories are excellent, taking Jacob on a very different journey. Paul loves the fans, and has a lot of fun meeting them at conventions. Sit back and enjoy listening to your questions being answered by the assassin himself, Paul Amos --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
We all have a special place in our heart for the television we grew up watching, but it usually doesn't quite go as far as Paul's obsession. Hear him talk about his favourite weird families from 1980s sitcoms and sing the theme songs from memory. See Paul in Talk Show and Tell an alternative comedy showcase the first Thursday of every month at Golden Dawn in Auckland.
