Today, let's talk about the one thing that can make or break your team's trust in you.In this episode of the Multifamily Collective, Mike Brewer explores a critical aspect of organizational culture: mistrust and how it often stems from a lack of transparency and clarity. If your team doesn't understand your intentions, expectations, or who's responsible for key initiatives, chaos and miscommunication can quickly follow, eroding trust across the organization. So, what's the solution? Clear communication! Mike discusses how crystal-clear directives and transparent leadership can help build a trust-based culture that drives success. The most important takeaway is that every action, conversation, and decision you make impacts the culture you're creating, and trust is at the heart of it.Clarity breeds trust, and trust is the foundation of a strong culture.A lack of transparency creates confusion and undermines team morale.Every interaction and decision contributes to the organization's culture. If you want a high-performing team and a cohesive, positive culture, make clarity your #1 priority. In this week's episode, I'm talking about someone who's become kind of a running philosopher for me — Coach Chris Bennett, Nike's Global Head Coach. If you've ever needed a little push, a little grace, or a little space to just start something — anything — this one's for you. I'm also sharing a few how-to gems from him that helped me get unstuck. Yes, we're talking about runs… but we're also talking about your life, your work, and letting go of what's weighing you down. And of course, I'll give you a quick update on my PCT section hike from Siskiyou Pass to Elk Lake, the beauty, the snow, and the big lesson that this trip — like this episode — is about: purpose, grit, and connection. If you're ready to fall back in love with your own movement, your own rhythm, and your own project, give this one a listen. Leitwolf - Leadership, Führung & Management

Great leadership isn't always comfortable – sometimes, it hurts. Not physically, but emotionally. In this episode of the LEITWOLF® Podcast, Stefan speaks about a side of leadership that is rarely talked about – yet many leaders know it well: making decisions that disappoint, speaking truths others avoid, and standing firm when it's unpopular. You'll learn why uncomfortable decisions are often a sign of strong leadership, how to give difficult feedback in a way that truly helps, and why it's essential to talk about these moments with other leaders. Leadership can hurt – especially when it drives real change. But that's often exactly when the most important things happen: growth, clarity, and trust. ––– Do you like the LEITWOLF® Leadership podcast?

Saki reflects on what she learned about leading while navigating a complex and high-risk expedition with a small, intimate crew, many of whom were older and more experienced than her. She speaks about the importance of being bold enough to dream big, even when the odds (and the funding) aren't in your favor and how that boldness can inspire others to believe in your vision, too. She also shares how she handled self-doubt, the power of clarity when leading more experienced people, the need to own your mistakes, and why it's vital to stay focused on what success really means. Listen to this episode to hear how leading doesn't always come with a title sometimes, it's about taking responsibility, earning trust, and finding your way through, even when you're not entirely sure you can. She serves as the China Governor for The Ninety-Nines, Inc., the international organisation of women pilots. In this episode of the Leadership Insights I Wish I Had Known at the Start series, Julia is joined by Alison Coburn, environment leader at Common Purpose leader with over 30 years of experience guiding teams through complex change, often in some of the world's most challenging settings. Alison shares nine fundamentals she wishes she'd known before she started leading. Starting with this vital truth: don't do it alone, build a support network. From building your own “survival kit” of support and stability, to learning the art of delegation, Alison's insights are thoughtful, honest, and deeply grounded in real-life leadership. She also unpacks hard-won lessons like the need for a “hard streak,” the importance of leading upwards, and why communication isn't just a part of leading; it is the very act of leading. Her reflections reveal how moral courage, containing emotions, and picking the right team members shape a leader's impact far more than any textbook theory. Alison's list will make you pause and ask, “What would be on mine?” Tune in, reflect, and perhaps even start your own list of what you wish you'd known at the start. About the Guest: Alison Coburn is one of the founding team of Common Purpose which started in the UK in 1989 and now has over 130,000 alumni globally. She currently leads Common Purpose's environmental programmes. In 2020 Alison founded Sky Blue, a campaign to support leaders around the world who are tackling the environmental crisis. She is passionate about inspiring and supporting leaders to work collaboratively for a sustainable future. She started her career in the arts, then joined the BBC Radio making programmes on social and environmental issues. She is an Ambassador for the Tutu Foundation UK and a Trustee of Well Grounded.
