Embark on this year-long voyage through the Bible, and let each day's passage uplift and inspire you. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible! In today's episode, your host Hunter guides you through another inspiring leg of our year-long journey in the Scriptures. On this 25th day of July, we dive into Isaiah chapters 43 through 45 and wrap up with 1 Peter chapter 4. Hunter reminds us that the heart of our time together is not just reading the Bible, but being transformed by the God who is love. As we reflect on passages about God's faithfulness, the folly of idolatry, and the call to rely on the true Source of life, Hunter encourages us to see beyond self-reliance and to trust in the one Creator of heaven and earth. Through beautiful prayers and thoughtful insights, we're invited to approach each day with a heart open to God's peace, love, and provision. Settle in, open your heart, and get ready for some “soul food” as we read, reflect, and pray together. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Ashes or Bread? In Isaiah 44, we're given a stark image: “the poor deluded fool feeds on ashes. He trusts something that can't help him at all. Yet he cannot bring himself to ask, is this idol I'm holding in my hand a lie?” There's a deep truth here about the human heart. When we look for life, sustenance, or salvation from the work of our own hands—be it idols of wood or deeper idols of self-sufficiency—we end up with ashes, nothing that can truly satisfy. There's a lie at work, a pride and self-reliance that blinds us from the reality of our true need. The good news is that Jesus has shown us a better way. Remember how Jesus, in his hunger in the wilderness, refused to turn stones into bread? Instead, he relied on His Father, looking to the true Source of life. He lived for us what he calls us all to believe: that there is only one God, not a god of our own making, not the god of our own striving or efforts—but the Creator of heaven and earth. Even in his teaching, Jesus encourages us to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread,” reminding us to look to the Source of everything, to rely not on ourselves but on God's faithful provision—day by day, moment by moment. There's an old Jewish prayer still prayed today: “Blessed are you, O God of the universe, who brings forth bread from the earth.” That's a prayer that Jesus himself would have known and lived by. We are not made to feed on ashes or to bow to idols of our own hands, not even the idol of self-reliance. Instead, we're invited to look to God, to receive from him all that we need. He is faithful. He is the sustainer and giver of life, and he alone is worthy of our trust, our prayers, and our worship. That's my prayer for my own heart today: That I would turn to the God who brings forth bread from the earth, that I would be faithful to pray for daily bread, trusting him as the source of all things. That's my prayer for my family—for my wife, my daughters, my son. And that's the prayer I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Loving God, you have knit us together in the body of Christ from every nation and tongue. Make us a vessel of your peace today. Make us a vessel of your peace today. Where hatred stirs, let us bear your love. Where wounds run deep, let us be agents of pardon. Where fear grips hearts, may we speak faith. Where sorrow hangs heavy, may we carry joy. Teach us to listen more than we speak. To understand before we are understood. To love. For in surrender we find abundance. In mercy, we discover grace. And in dying, we rise into your life. In the name of Jesus. Amen. And now, as our Lord has taught us, we are bold to pray: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. The final pesukim of Parashat Behaalotecha tell the famous story of Miriam speaking inappropriately about her brother, Moshe Rabbenu. Miriam was punished with tzara'at (leprosy) for speaking lashon ha'ra (negative talk) about her brother. One of the most significant aspects of this story is what's missing – Moshe's reaction to Miriam's harsh words. We don't find Moshe saying anything to Miriam. In fact, the Torah interjects, והאיש משה עניו מאד מכל האדם אשר על פני האדמה – that Moshe was the humblest man in the world (12:3). This implies that Moshe, in his great humility, kept silent. The Gemara (Gittin 36b) speaks about the unique greatness of הנעלבים ואינן עולבים – those who do not respond to insults, who simply remain quiet when others put them down. Such people, the Gemara teaches, are the ones of whom the pasuk in the Book of Shoftim (5:31) says, ואוהביו כצאת השמש בגבורתו – "…and those who love Him are like the sun when it comes out in all its force." In other words, people who keep quiet, who do not respond when they are offended or insulted, who simply ignore it and go about their day, have special power. Indeed, numerous stories are told of people whose prayers were answered in this merit – because they would keep quiet and not respond to insults. For example, the Gemara in Masechet Ta'anit (25b) tells that once, during a harsh drought, the people assembled to pray, and after Rabbi Akiva led the prayer service, rain began to fall. Specifically Rabbi Akiva's prayers were answered, the Gemara explains, because he excelled in the quality of מעביר על מדותיו – letting things go, not responding to insults. What is so special about this quality? Why is it so difficult to remain quiet and not respond? One answer, perhaps, is that this is something we cannot prepare for ahead of time. We never know when somebody will offend us, hurt our feelings, or disrespect us. Just as an example – I recall once when I was delivering a speech, somebody walked into the room in the middle and announced that I had already exceeded my allotted time, and I needed to stop. I was a little taken aback, and I politely asked if I could have just another two minutes as I was right in the middle of a thought. He adamantly refused, insisting that I stop my speech dead in its tracks. As I walked out of the room, I passed by that person. I am proud to say that I controlled the urge I felt to say something to him, but I cannot say I was unaffected. I was upset, angry and agitated. There is no way to prepare for experiences like these. They just happen. We can mentally prepare ourselves for challenges that we anticipate, such as waking up in time for prayers in the morning, closing the business before Shabbat, dressing the way we are supposed to dress, or refraining from going somewhere we know we should not go. But we cannot prepare ourselves to be מעביר על מדותיו , to remain quiet, to not respond to something hurtful that somebody says or does. The only solution is to be humble like Moshe Rabbenu, to develop and strengthen our characters to the point where people's opinions of us don't matter. And if we can do this – then we become incredibly powerful. Nobody is stronger than the person who is not discouraged by insults, who is unaffected by what people say or think about him. Let us harness this remarkable power through the quality of מעביר על מדותיו , by following Moshe Rabbenu's example of genuine humility, by making ourselves invulnerable to insults.

In this episode of Men of Influence, host Tim Holloway sits down with returning guest Josh Khachadourian to explore the essence of biblical masculinity and how men can reclaim their God-given identity in today's culture. Josh, author of The Standard: Discovering Jesus as the Standard for Masculinity and founder of the Standard 59 Mastermind, shares profound insights into what it means to be a kingdom man. The conversation dives into the “Dominion Mandate” from Genesis, reframing it as a practical and spiritual call for men to master themselves, lead their families, and positively influence their spheres of impact. Tim and Josh also address the challenges Christian men face today, including cultural attacks on masculinity, the consumerist mindset, and disconnection from spiritual authority. Key Takeaways: • Biblical masculinity starts with self-mastery and partnership with God, not domination of others. • The “Dominion Mandate” calls men to bear good fruit, replenish spiritually, and take dominion over sin and systems—not people. • True success aligns with God's will, producing eternal value rather than empty pursuits. • Avoid the pitfalls of “Christian Nice Guy Syndrome” and “Orphan Alpha Syndrome,” finding strength and humility in balance. • Practical steps for reclaiming your health, focus, and spiritual authority in a distracted world. This episode challenges men to step into their divine calling with clarity and purpose. Don't miss this opportunity to redefine masculinity through a biblical lens. adventure. It: Con i suoi occhi brillanti, era sempre alla ricerca di una nuova sfida.En: With his bright eyes, he was always looking for a new challenge. It: Questa volta, la sua sfida era la pista più difficile del villaggio, conosciuta come "La Discesa del Drago".En: This time, his challenge was the most difficult slope in the village, known as "La Discesa del Drago".It: Oltre alla sua passione per lo sci, c'era un altro motivo per cui voleva affrontare tale impresa: Marina.En: Besides his passion for skiing, there was another reason he wanted to undertake such a feat: Marina. It: Marina, con il suo sorriso luminoso e la sua abilità sugli sci, era l'ammirazione di molti, inclusi Gianni e il suo amico Luca.En: Marina, with her radiant smile and her skiing skills, was the admiration of many, including Gianni and his friend Luca. It: Luca era lì ogni volta che Gianni pianificava una nuova impresa.En: Luca was there every time Gianni planned a new venture. It: Con un carattere cauto, spesso cercava di far riflettere Gianni prima di lanciarsi in nuove avventure.En: With a cautious character, he often tried to make Gianni think twice before embarking on new adventures. It: Quella mattina, coraggiosamente.En: Gianni, unwilling to admit the persistent pain in his ankle, smiled bravely. It: "Non preoccuparti, andrà tutto bene," rispose.En: "Don't worry, it'll be fine," he replied. It: Il sole brillava sul manto nevoso mentre Gianni, Marina e Luca si avvicinavano alla pista.En: The sun was shining on the snowy blanket as Gianni, Marina, and Luca approached the slope. It: Gianni riusciva a nascondere la sua zoppia, almeno all'inizio.En: Gianni managed to hide his limp, at least at first. It: Marina, con occhi vivaci, lo guardò e disse: "Non vedo l'ora di fare questa discesa con te."En: Marina, with lively eyes, looked at him and said, "I can't wait to do this descent with you."It: Gianni ingoiò il suo orgoglio e saper che ogni passo faceva pulsare la sua caviglia non lo abbandonava.En: Gianni swallowed his pride and the knowledge that every step made his ankle throb did not leave him.It: Nonostante il dolore, Gianni decise di partire per la Discesa del Drago.En: Despite the pain, Gianni decided to start the Discesa del Drago. It: La pista era ripida e tortuosa, ogni curva una sfida.En: The slope was steep and winding, every curve a challenge. It: All'inizio riuscì a governare gli sci, ma presto la sua caviglia mostrò la sua debolezza.En: At first, he managed to control his skis, but soon his ankle showed its weakness. It: Durante una curva stretta, il piede cedette.En: During a tight turn, his foot gave way.It: Gianni perse l'equilibrio e precipitò nella neve, rotolando come un pupazzo di neve ad alta velocità.En: Gianni lost his balance and tumbled into the snow, rolling like a high-speed snowman. It: Marina, che lo seguiva non lontano, vide l'incidente.En: Marina, who was following not far behind, saw the accident. It: Lasciò tutto e corse verso Gianni.En: She dropped everything and ran towards Gianni. It: "Stai bene?"En: "Are you okay?"It: chiese, la preoccupazione evidente nel suo tono.En: she asked, the concern evident in her tone. It: Gianni, imbarazzato e dolorante, annuì lentamente.En: Gianni, embarrassed and in pain, nodded slowly. It: "Mi sa che ho esagerato," ammise con aria colpevole.En: "I think I overdid it," he admitted with a guilty look. It: Luca arrivò pochi istanti dopo, respirando affannosamente.En: Luca arrived a few moments later, breathing heavily. It: "Ti avevo detto di pensarci," disse, ma il suo tono era più comprensivo che accusatorio.En: "I told you to think about it," he said, but his tone was more understanding than accusatory. It: Mentre aiutavano Gianni a sollevarsi, Marina lo guardò negli occhi.En: As they helped Gianni to get up, Marina looked him in the eyes. It: "Non devi dimostrare nulla a nessuno, sai?"En: "You don't need to prove anything to anyone, you know?"It: disse dolcemente.En: she said gently. It: "L'importante è che tu stia bene."En: "The important thing is that you're okay."It: Quelle parole fecero capire a Gianni quanto fosse importante essere onesti e prendersi cura di se stessi.En: Those words made Gianni realize how important it was to be honest and take care of oneself. It: Capì che l'amicizia e il benessere erano più preziosi di qualsiasi dimostrazione di coraggio.En: He understood that friendship and well-being were more valuable than any display of bravery. It: Si voltò verso Marina e Luca con un sorriso genuino.En: He turned to Marina and Luca with a genuine smile. It: "Grazie," disse, appoggiandosi ai loro amici.En: "Thank you," he said, leaning on his friends. It: Ora Gianni sapeva che il vero valore non era nella discesa del Drago, ma nelle persone che aveva accanto.En: Now Gianni knew that the true value was not in the Discesa del Drago, but in the people he had by his side. It: E mentre il sole scendeva lentamente Welcome back to another episode of the Full Frontal Living podcast! In episode 294, we're revisiting one of the most powerful concepts on the journey of personal growth and healing: the power of choice and taking responsibility for your life. Join Lisa as she shares personal stories and real-life examples of how she learnt to take full responsibility for her life, and how it's been a game-changer in her own growth. Key Takeaways: Personal Growth Starts With You: We all have the ability to shape our lives, but it starts with taking full responsibility for where we are right now. Personal transformation doesn't happen by accident. It's about understanding what you truly desire and committing to it, no matter how messy or uncomfortable it gets. Vulnerability and Asking for Help: You don't have to do this alone. Coaches, therapists, and a solid support system are absolute game-changers when it comes to healing and growth. You can't do it by yourself, and that's more than okay. We all need people to help guide us through the tough stuff. Being vulnerable and letting others in has been key to my healing journey. You don't have to do it alone. Commit to Self-Care: I'm not talking about bubble baths here. I'm talking about real self-care: nutrition, sleep, exercise. These things are non-negotiable if you want to thrive. If you're neglecting these basics, your healing journey is going to be a lot harder. Face Your Fears: Being resilient doesn't mean just pushing through. It means being present with your fears and challenges and transforming them into opportunities for growth. I've faced fears head-on in my life, and I'll tell you: you come out the other side stronger and more empowered. Building True Resilience: Resilience is about flexibility—emotionally, mentally, and physically. It's not about “grin and bear it” or pushing yourself into burnout. It's about being able to bounce back without losing yourself along the way. Break Free from Unhelpful Patterns: We often turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms (like overworking) to avoid emotions. But real growth happens when you feel the emotion and move through it without using work, food, or other distractions as a crutch. The bottom line: You have the power to choose how you respond to your life. Healing and transformation come when you take responsibility, embrace vulnerability, and lean on the people around you. If I can do it, so can you. Let's keep going, keep evolving, and create the lives we know we're meant to live. Let's make 2025 the best year of our lives.   Resources: Interested in working with Lisa? Learn more here. About the Guest: Nicole Christian is a high-performance coach and accomplished musician with deep expertise in mindfulness and self-compassion practices. Her unique journey started with a transformative decision to confront her own pain, leading her to explore mindfulness techniques, pursue extensive training, and ultimately help others discover resilience through vulnerability. Mindfulness as a Gateway to Self-Compassion: Mindfulness enables us to turn towards our pain, fostering self-compassion and helping us stay present even when faced with difficulty. Setting Healthy Boundaries: Building resilience includes visualizing protective boundaries that allow positive energy in and shield us from what doesn't serve us, much like cultivating "thicker skin" without emotional numbing. One Learning for Listeners: Real resilience comes from turning towards, rather than away from, life's challenges. This compassionate approach allows us to process and grow from our experiences, ultimately creating a stronger, more connected self.   Want to be a guest on Healthy Mind, Healthy Life? A Candid Deep Interview on LIFE with Todd [Live from the IMPACT Summit] | Ep. 368

We just wrapped-up our big IMPACT SUMMIT live-event and it was epic. We had 22-presenters and 12-talks. The connection, networking, workouts, socials, and of course presentations were world-class. Kelli Watson, the Director of my Coaching Programs, MC'd the event and she was awesome. One of the things Kelli did was interview me for one of the talks. And dare I say it was one of the most candid, real, and deepest interviews I've ever done. Not necessarily because of what I said…but because of what she asked and got out of me. WOW. Today, I share part of that interview with you on the IMPACT SHOW podcast. I think you will hear and experience the heart, soul, emotion, and energy that was in the room. Kelli did a masterful job in this interview and believe you will “feel” it throughout. Here are some of the questions that she asked me… You have accomplished 3 things this year that were on your “BIG 5” at the beginning of 2024, your new TRUE STRENGTH book, the IMPACXT SUMMIT, and your new IMPACT X Performance fitness & coaching franchise. How are you feeling? What can you tell the audience how to get to the “Next level” based on your experience? You have an unbelievable ability to make whoever you are talking to feel like you are talking directly to them. I often think of your family and how you show up and do that for them. How do you do that? Tell me how you get up every day with the positive energy you do… Anything you can add to help people with their time-management and dealing with being overwhelmed. If you could take a minute and look back on your whole life, is there anything you would do different or change? Your theme for the year “Be Iconic” and your theme for the IMPACT SUMMIT is “Be Iconic.” What are you doing to move forward to “Be Iconic” and how are you getting there? What else would you like to offer to our audience that I have not yet asked? WOW. Once you listen, I think you will understand why I feel the way I do about this interview. People were locked-in. The feedback was awesome. There were some tears shed. And people were ready to run through a wall by the end. Thanks for tuning-in.
