When the Entrepreneur gets a hail from some unusual Vulcans, Captain Archer invites them aboard for some chicken marsala. But when T'Pol gets curious about their walk-and-chew-gum-at-the-same-time philosophy, a very hard sell from Tolaris lands her in sicksbay. Who wants to shoot ropes in Ben's childhood bedroom? Is there a diet Riker among the crew? What does a trackball say about a work station? It's the episode where Robert Pine didn't stick around for a moral reckoning.Support the production of The Greatest GenerationGet a thing at podshop.biz!Sign up for our mailing list!Follow The Game of Buttholes: The Will of the Riker - Quantum LeapThe Greatest Generation is produced by Wynde PriddySocial media is managed by Rob Adler and Bill TilleyMusic by Adam Ragusea & Dark MateriaFriends of DeSoto for: Labor | Democracy | JusticeDiscuss the show using the hashtag #GreatestGen and find us on social media:YouTube | Facebook | X | Instagram | TikTok | Mastodon | Bluesky | ThreadsAnd check out these online communities run by FODs: Reddit | USS Hood Discord | Facebook group | Wikia | FriendsOfDeSoto.social

Q&A on the Apple TV+ series Five Days at Memorial with cast Vera Farmiga, Cherry Jones, Robert Pine, Julie Ann Emery, Cornelius Smith Jr., Michael Gaston, and executive producer Carlton Cuse. Moderated by Mara Webster, In Creative Company. Chronicling the impact of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath on a hospital. When the floodwaters rise, power fails and heat soars, exhausted caregivers at a New Orleans hospital are forced to make decisions that will follow them for years to come.
On Today's Episode, we talk about Apple TV's production based on the 2013 novel by Sheri Fink, the story of a hospital during the 2005 hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans. The show has a large cast including Vera Farmiga, Cherry Jones, and Robert Pine. Tune in as we break down the first three episodes. Enjoy!
The cast of Five Days at Memorial came together to showcase its first episode at the premiere for AppleTV+. We spoke with Adepero Oduye, Carlton Cuse, Cherry Jones, Cornelius Smith Jr. , Julie Ann Emery, Michael Gaston, Molly Hager, Robert Pine, Sheri Fink, and W. Earl Brown. While the cast was excited to talk about the show, most focused on the hardships that many faced during Hurricane Katrina. The focus was to make sure this project was not only accurate, but really brought the audience inside of the hospital to try to get an idea of what it was like during the disaster with seemingly no help. This project was a labor of love and one that they were all happy to bring to AppleTV+ viewers. Host: Monica Gleberman Editor: Ashley Pelletier Social Media Graphic: Jojo -- Synopsis: Based on actual events and adapted from the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink, “Five Days at Memorial” chronicles the impact of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath on a local hospital. Summer kicks off with a bang this week on BEHIND THE LENS as we take a look at three winning films and speak with their gifted filmmakers who are not only good storytellers, but really good guys. And here's a bonus for you – all three films open in theatres this week on June 7! First up, take a listen to our exclusive interview with RON HOWARD talking about his new documentary, PAVAROTTI! The film is, in a word, Bellisimo! Exquisitely told and emotionally beauteous, the detail and depth with which Ron Howard tells the story of the man behind the voice is not only told with an objective eye, but a caring one. By film's end, one feels as if they know "Luciano", that they sat at the table and ate pasta with him, shared laughs. Listen as Ron talks about the research and assimilation of archival materials and the technical challenges presented with the use of old footage and recordings, gathering interviews, finding a throughline and working with his editor Paul Crowder, opting for sound mix in Dolby Atmos and the genius of sound recording mixer Chris Jenkins, not to mention selecting very specific arias for which Pavarotti is best known and then using them to highlight moments of Pavarotti's live versus the chronology of performance. Then writer/director MICHAEL MELSKI joins us live talking about his new film, THE CHILD REMAINS. Based on the true story of the "Butterbox Babies" and the surrounding legend that has permeated not only Canadian folklore, but Scottish and Irish as well, Michael crafts a chilling tale steeped in ambient cinematographic excellence. Rounding out the show, Australian actor ANDREW STEEL is with us live talking about his first North American feature, WISH MAN. You'll quickly hear why Andrew is just one more reason why we love Australia. Classically theatre trained and with a successful career in Australia primarily on stage with the Australian Shakespeare Company and in television, Andrew makes the leap to the United States with the story of Frank Shankwitz, the man who founded the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Handpicked by Shankwitz to be the man to depict him on screen, the stars seem to have perfectly aligned for Andrew who is also known for his own philanthropic endeavors, namely the international film festival Flicks4Change.org and its offshoot, Scripts4Change.org. Listen as Andrew talks about WISH MAN, his serendipitous meeting with Shankwitz and how the role came to him, developing the character through working with writer/director Theo Davies and Shankwitz, nailing a midwestern US accent and learning to ride a motorcycle, working with veteran actors Fay Masterson, Danny Trejo, Frank Whalley, Kirby Bliss Stanton, Carey Scott, Dale Dickey, Bruce Davison and, in the coolest cameos possible, Robert Pine and Larry Wilcox, and more. http://behindthelensonline.net http://eliasentertainmentnetwork.com

Robert Pine is a great actor to help us kick things off! He's been working for the past 50+ years and probably best known for starring on the show CHiPs. He has over 200 credits on IMDb, appearing on almost every iconic show from the '60s to today. He's also done commercials, video games, soap operas, theatre, and plenty of films. We talk about being pre-med, his ADD, his son Chris, longevity, and having fun. This episode is brought to you by FreeMeditationCourse.com - start your journey today!
Don't be like this Tolaris fellow.. This episode holds a special place as the lowest rated among us so far! I honestly did not see that coming.. Has there ever been such an over the top slimey Vulcan (or character) as this Tolaris fellow? Next to the seemingly harmless Kov/Commander Trip storyline this episode has a strange imbalance that really rubbed some of the hosts the wrong way. Things take a serious tone through much of this episode as we talk about T'Pol's assault and how it was handled by the writers.. A delicate discussion to say the least. Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-Anyone who knows anything about riding street motorcycles surely remembers or had heard of the hit TV series CHIP's! Even those that have never ridden a motorcycle have either heard of or watched the show themselves. The show has had a long lasting impact on many and we wanted to dive into and reminisce in this podcast episode. We have it packed with information and fun facts. There were many actors that appeared in the series each season, which aired from 1977-1983. Of course we all remember the main duo, Officer Jon Baker, played by Larry Wilcox, & Officer Frank Poncherello (Ponch), played by Erik Estrada. Sgt. Joseph Getraer played by Robert Pine was their direct supervisor on the show. Don't forget the beautiful Randi Oakes who played Officer Bonnie Clark. Ponch was the macho, rambunctious one and Jon washis straight-laced partner. The two didn't always see eye to eye on set, but have since reconciled. Each had their contract negotiation issues later in the series. Larry Wilcox actually did not return for the entire last season due to salary issues. Check out the Free Law Abiding Biker Podcast App!
