In this video, I deliver a sermon based on Ephesians chapter 5, verses 15 through 21, highlighting the significance of living wisely and faithfully as followers of Christ. The message starts with a prayer for divine guidance in understanding biblical teachings. Believers are encouraged to “walk carefully,” representing a lifestyle that reflects their faith. The sermon warns against worldly temptations, such as excessive drinking, and emphasizes the importance of being filled with the Holy Spirit.Worship is presented as diverse, including music, prayer, and acts of kindness. Gratitude in all circumstances is essential, as is mutual submission among believers, reinforcing that all are equal at the foot of the cross. The overarching message encourages living a life that glorifies God, being aware of evil, and relying on the Holy Spirit for strength in life's challenges.### Highlights- **Prayer is Central:** The sermon begins with a prayer for wisdom.- **Walk Wisely:** Believers should reflect their faith in daily choices.- **Avoid Temptations:** The need for a Spirit-filled life is emphasized.- **Diverse Worship:** Worship can include various forms of expression.- **Thankfulness in Trials:** Gratitude is vital during difficult times.- **Mutual Submission:** Believers are equal and should support one another.- **God's Will and Purpose:** Listeners are urged to surrender to Christ.### Key Insights- **Careful Walk:** Daily actions should align with one's faith.- **Wisdom vs. Foolishness:** True fulfillment comes from living according to God's will.- **Redeeming Time:** Believers should seize opportunities to share the Gospel.- **Dangers of Intoxication:** Substance abuse detracts from spiritual clarity; a Spirit-filled life offers empowerment.- **Worship Beyond Music:** Everyday actions can glorify God.- **Gratitude Amidst Trials:** Thankfulness fosters resilience and reliance on God.- **Equality in Christ:** Promotes humility and service within the community. In conclusion, this sermon encourages a faithful and purposeful life centered on Christ.

This concept is substantial as it challenges the central tenet of our economic system, which revolves around spending. ### Spending Money: Easy but Unwise? Spending money is easy, even for a chimpanzee or a three-year-old child. Teaching kids, and maybe even adults, not to spend money could be a more beneficial strategy. ## Propaganda of Spending An encounter at JP Morgan Chase illustrated this concept when they provided a children's coloring book that still focused on spending money, albeit indirectly. This instance reflects how society conditions children from a young age to become consumers. Parents often bemoan their children's addiction to presents, games, and gadgets, but they fail to recognize their role in this cycle. Kids mirror their parents, who themselves are often addicted to similar consumerist behaviors. ## The Matrix of Consumerism We are metaphorically living in a Matrix, where we toil away to power an economic system that ultimately makes us weaker and sicker. Products like marijuana and alcohol, while dulling our senses, are prime examples of this. They are detrimental, especially for those already struggling with mental and physical health issues. ## Purpose of Money The common mistake is living to make money, instead of using money to serve our needs, desires, and goals. Money has become an end in itself, rather than a means to an end. ## Minimum Viable Income A radical concept here is the minimum viable income, where the goal is to minimize expenses to the bare minimum and focus energy on true life goals. This idea contrasts sharply with the mentality of accumulating wealth for its own sake. ### Avoiding the Pitfalls of Consumerism Personal experiences reveal the pitfalls of consumerism. The example of being drawn to camera gear highlights how the desire to spend often masks the true desire for experiences, such as making photos. The true value lies in the action, not the gear. ### The Best Camera is the One You Have The advice for photographers is to use a small, reliable camera, like the Ricoh GR, analogous to John Wick's trusty pistol. It's a precision tool that is always ready, unlike bulky equipment that hinders spontaneity. ## Physical and Mental Strength ### Importance of Leg Day A funny yet insightful thought is that if men want to increase their testosterone and manliness, they should focus on working out their legs. Legs are far stronger than the upper body, and daily leg workouts could significantly boost testosterone levels, confidence, strength, and overall well-being. ### Hormonal Attraction Men often believe that building an upper body will attract women, but the true attraction might lie in hormonal levels. Increased testosterone, often influenced by physical activity and sun exposure, could play a significant role in attractiveness. ## Conclusion The Spartan Way advocates for a minimalist approach to life, focusing on reducing unnecessary expenses, avoiding consumer traps, and prioritizing physical and mental health. This approach encourages living a life centered around true goals and personal fulfillment, rather than being a slave to consumerism and material wealth.

Speaking Wisdom: A Proverbs driven Life Chapter 2The Marks of Wise Words“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.” Proverbs 25:11, ESVChapter opens with a summarized account of Israel's fateful encounter with the Gibeonites.“we are reminded just how easy—and how harmful—it can be to speak foolishly. Unwise words are no rare event, being, unfortunately, very common among Christians” Anthony Selvaggio pg. 17“For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also tobridle his whole body.” James 3:2, ESV“but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.” James 3:8, ESV“If no one can completely avoid foolish words, then in one sense our speech is a lifelong exercise in damage control.Have you ever hurt someone with hasty, careless words? Ever spread a rumor that proved to be untrue? Ever joined ingossip?” Anthony Selvaggio Pg. 18“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that itmay give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29, ESV“Scripture repeatedly tells us to bless and encourage one another with our words. Therefore, our speech is much morethan damage control. It's also a lifelong effort to pass along to others the grace and love God has given us” - Ibid pg.19“So while we must be cautious about our words, we can also be hopeful. God is eager to be at work through us as wespeak. For most of us, each day offers numerous opportunities to speak wisely, in matters both small andgreat” Anthony Selvaggio pg. 19Discussion of Proverbs 25:11“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.” Proverbs 25:11, ESV“ Such words are like gold: They are inherently and universally valuable and attractive.”• Indeed, they are like apples of gold: Their value and attractiveness has been enhanced through skillful craftsmanshipthat has molded them into a pleasing form.• These words are in a setting: They are presented in a way that is perfectlyfitted to the circumstances. The setting is silver: Although attractive in itself, its very attractiveness enhances its primary purpose—to display theunique beauty of that which it holds. Such words are described as being “aptly spoken.” “Apt” is not a term you hearevery day. It means “exactly suitable; appropriate.”What makes for such suitable and appropriate speech? How does one go through the day crafting words that are likegolden apples in silver settings? I believe Proverbs teaches us that such speech—speech that is biblically wise—canbe seen as involving three essential components: thoughtfulness, timeliness, and truth. To embrace the wisdom of Proverbs 25:11 of a fitly spoken word three things:Thoughtful“The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evilthings.” Proverbs 15:28, ESVThere is no rewind function on our words. We can never truly take back what we say, as much as we might wish tofrom time to time. How important, therefore, that we learn from the vivid imagery of this proverb. Do you want yourspeech to be thoughtful and measured, or will you allow it to be more like a gushing, uncontrolled torrent?” SelvaggioPg. 19Timely“To make an apt answer isFor more information about this group, please visit their website at reformationboise.com. Time is something we all have been given the same amount of but don’t all use the same way. God wants us to be mindful of how we use our time so that we make the most of the time that we have been given. Ephesians 5:15-16 “Watch carefully” — This means to pay careful attention or be keenly aware of something. “Unwise/wise” — Wisdom and foolishness are an important matter of interest here. There is a way to live that is wise, and there is a way to live that is foolish. Each day, we can consider how we choose to live. “Making the best use of the time” — The Greek word means “to buy up,” and in the context, it means to make the most of every opportunity. To buy up time means to metaphorically purchase that time for a purpose, and that purpose is to do “the will of the Lord” (v. 17). “The days are evil” — This refers to the fact that “the days” are filled with darkness and are characterized by the activity of this present evil age in which we live. Romans 13:11-14 We must be those who are aware of the “time.” It is time for us to be alive and active with respect to the good news and our trust in the Lord Jesus, not dormant and complacent. Now is the time to put on the “armor of light” and “the Lord Jesus Christ.” Psalm 90:12 — We want to obtain a heart of wisdom! Proverbs 6:1-5 — There is a right time to act and not wait. How do we make the best use of our time? 1. Set proper priorities. 2. Strive to grow. 3. Seize the opportunity. The post Stewarding Your Time first appeared on Living Hope.

Sia works for a London law firm that conceals the wealth of the superrich. Max's family business in Mexico―a CIA front since the 1960s―is a farm that breeds high-end racehorses. They pose as a couple to target Vadim, Putin's private banker, and his wife, Anna, who―unbeknownst to CIA―is a Russian intelligence officer under deep cover at the bank. As they descend further into a Russian world dripping with luxury and rife with gangland violence, Sia and Max's only hope may be Anna, who is playing a game of her own. Careening between the horse ranch in northern Mexico, the corridors of Langley, and the dark opulence of Putin's Russia, Moscow X is both a gripping thriller of modern espionage and a raw, unsparing commentary on the nature of truth, loyalty, and vengeance amid the shadow war between the United States and Russia. 1145-1200 2/2; Moscow X: A Novel by  David McCloskey  (Author) FOURTH HOUR 12-1215 1/2: #Eisenhower: The December 1953 UN Speech ""Atoms for Peace was the origin of proliferation & What is to be done?
