Seven years ago, when the idea of broadcasting on the internet was in its infancy, Gabe Hubbard came up with the idea of interviewing professional wrestlers live on a website. With help from people he became friends with on social media, also an emerging format, he created a show he called Pro Wrestling Roundtable. Gabe never felt comfortable with the idea of being "the voice" of the show, so he recruited his brother Sean, who wrestled, managed and announced under the name of Sadistic Sean David to be the first voice of the show. Gabe knew he needed a strong cohost who also had a history in the business so he contacted someone he worked with in a central Illinois promotion, Referee and sometime promoter Steve Cain, known as "The Dean Of Wrestling Referees" who had many years of experience in both radio and televsion.  The show had a variety of people in the third spot, but eventually a fan and regular caller to the show, Katie Mason, made such an impression that she was asked to permanently take the third spot. She refers to herself as "Khaotic Katie", "The Fan's Perspective" and "The reason why this show will NEVER be a bag of d****". She provides a great counterbalance to not just Sean and Steve, but to our guests. She has no fear of not only getting between Sean and Steve but also speaking her mind to even our most famous guests, as her epic conversation with the late Joe "Road Warrior Animal" Laurainitis showed. On a mid-August night in 1977 in the Mid-South Coliseum in front of 8,397 rabid fans, Southern Champion Jerry "The King" Lawler took on bitter rival "Superstar" Bill Dundee in a Hair vs. Car match, where Lawler's manager, Mickey Poole's hair was on the line. Lawler and Dundee were sometimes partners but mostly enemies throughout the late 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s. The history of professional wrestling is marked by the various territories that ran throughout the country. Of those territories, one of the most famous, which housed many of the biggest names in our industry was the Continental Wrestling Association, commonly referred to as the Memphis territory, which was its base. The area was headlined, of course, by Jerry "The King" Lawler. Lawler, however, could not have done it without a supporting group of wrestlers who at various times either teamed with or turned on him. One of those very well known names is who we are honored to have as our special guest tonight, Superstar Bill Dundee. Born in Angus, Scotland, Bill and his family moved to Australia while he was small. At 16 he fulfilled what is considered the standard childhood dream at the time and joined the circus. He started his wrestling career in 1962, but amazingly did not come to the US until 1974. Lance Russell always described the 5'7" Dundee as being "built like a fireplug". Despite not being a classically tall wrestler, he was always one of the draws of the territory. We will be joined by our good friend Kenny Bolin, and we will be reaching out to others who worked with Bill over the years. We know Bill has a ton of great stories and we can't wait to have him share them with you.
