I get between 150-200 down and about 30 up. No outages to speak of. You have to pay Starlink £500 for the dish, cable, mini tripod stand for mounting it on the ground, 110ft of power-over-ethernet cable and a router. Includes shipping from the USA. You have to pay upfront and wait until Starlink has a slot in its queue. The downfall of Zillow's iBuying business is a reminder of the downsides of relying too much on automation and machine learning algorithms at this stage in the evolution of technology. A conversation about the pitfalls of real estate valuations leads John Cook and Todd Bishop into a larger discussion about the continued importance of human judgment and attention in the modern world. Plus, cat vs. coyote: the crazy scene on Todd's Ring camera this week. And in our final segment, we test a new feature: Tech Crank, in which Todd and John each offer a rant about something irksome in the tech world this week. The tech world is slowing down right now, but that didn't stop Poco from barrelling in with its final phone launch of 2021, while Microsoft unveiled a more mobile version of Windows 11 and we unveiled our 2021 awards. The Poco M4 Pro is a pretty capable budget device from Poco, albeit one with some quirks. Like some other Poco phones this is really a re-branded version of an existing Redmi phone, but as part of that it borrows one real oddity: cosmetic camera lenses. Huh. Meanwhile Microsoft held yet another launch, this time for Windows 11 SE, a lightweight version of its OS intended to take on ChromeOS. Naturally there's a new Chromebook rival to go with it, with the cheap and cheerful Surface Laptop SE making its debut too. Finally, this week we unveiled our official awards for 2021, with the top tech in ten categories earning prizes, as decided by the Tech Advisor editorial team. We're gonna run through our winners, including our big 3 phone awards. This podcast is produced by IDG Communications. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/elgordocircuito/message
