Vi metto il link e i libri sono molto belli, e l'autore, ho scoperto, poi è diventato super famoso.TRANSLATIONHey, (after) yesterday's recording experiment, sitting at the kitchen table, as I get bathed in the sun coming in through the window and drink my cup of long, American-style coffee, under the watchful eye of Mazinga, the big cat o Sputnik, the smaller one, I decided to repeat the experiment because I don't feel like going to the room where I set up my recording studio because it's on the other side of the house and the sun comes in the afternoon there, so now there is no sun and honestly I feel so good in the sun that I decided to stay here. What do I want to talk to you about today? I want to talk about something that struck me and reminded me of something I read a long time ago. The thing that struck me is a new BBC podcast called Vishal, I'll put the link in the program notes, and it tells the story, I didn't know this story, of this child who on the wedding day of Prince Charles and Lady Daiana, so let's talk about forty years ago, he went with his family, he was a child, he went with his family like everyone else to see the carriage go by, to say hello, etc., etc., and this child lost in the crowd. Now, I haven't started listening to the podcast yet, so I don't know if it's been found again, what happened, what the podcast is about, but it reminded me of another story, this time fictitious, that I had read quite a bit time ago, in a book by Alex Garland.Alex Garland is the author whom I met with the beautiful book The Beach, the last beach in Italian, and who then had his second book The Tesseract, which in Italian was published under the title Black Dog, and which talks about this little boy who comes from an inland village, I think he was from South America, and goes with his father to the main city, to the market, and there, while with his father, in the main city, his father dies, he has a heart attack, he doesn't I remember, and this boy is alone in this city and of course he's very young, he's three or four years old so he doesn't even know his name, he can't express himself, and the book tells the story of this man, now an adult, who lives in this city and the only thing he remembers is that he was there with his father, his father died and he no longer has any connection with his family. It's a situation that while I was reading the book had really intrigued and even disturbed me, because, if we think about it, there are many occasions when we, even when we're on vacation, maybe we're small, we don't have papers and anything could happen and we could truly find ourselves marooned in a city where no one knows us. It's a very disturbing thing. I'll put the link to you and the books are very good, and the author, I discovered, then became super famous.LINKL'autore e regista Alex Garland (vale la pena una lettura) https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Garland#BiografiaIl nuovo podcast della BBC https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/vishal/id1681787156

This is a special episode just over 2 minutes long (no music or fancy tricks, just a voice) for RUOK Day here in Australia (10/9/20). I was interviewing Laura Payano (our guest in a later episode) and we got to talking about how we find 'earthing' ourselves, by being barefoot on sand, letting the sea tickle our toes, putting our palms in the sand, listening to the waves and birds, soothes us. We shared in Laura's upcoming episode our favourite moments doing this and here is just a teaser couple of minutes of being sea soothed from me, your host, Rachael Krinks. We hope you find it meditative and peaceful, and tune in for Laura's episode (Episode 10). Thanks for listening!
