Some extra money supply would be welcome. For the people who do still have a job, they need to make more money. There are a few ways that you can increase your money supply in your current position. With some simple ideas that you probably never even thought of right under your nose. I am about to tell you 5 simple ideas. Number 1 – Ask For More It's as simple as putting your prices up or just go to your boss and ask for more.   Number 2 – Extra Money Supply From Things You Already Have  Being a tradesman you understand the value of quality. Those drills you buy for $100 that wouldn't dill a hole in butter are useless! They may be good for putting your Ikea furniture together.   Number 3 – Create A You Tube Channel  This one can not only pay you, it can be fun too. Create a you tube channel or short form videos.   Number 4 – Use A Credit Card That Pays You As a tradesman running your own business, you spend a fortune! I used to spend over 10k a month at the wholesales for years. It wasn't until the last few years I started to use a credit card.   Number 5 – Plan Jobs For Other Tradesmen  When you start a new job, you plan on what your going to do and how your going to do it, basically design the install. As you know some tradesmen haven't got a clue, and make it up as they go along only to mess the whole job up.

The UK is facing the biggest fall in living standards, down to the government's actions.   In fact, the biggest since 1952!   As you can imagine – its going to take some time to recover!   How did the UK get to be in this position and what does the future look like for the UK?   Here I will go into detail what happened and I will also let you know how to recover faster than everyone else.   Break The Chains Podcast ▶Listen To Podcast   This may get a little complicated – so stick with me. I'm going to explain it all, just as I understand it.   RHDI ( Real Household disposable Income)   It all boils down to the RHDI which stands for the Real Household disposable Income. Which is used to measure the living standards of people living in a country. The UK living standard in 2023 and 2024 are going to decrease by 4.3%.   4.3% may seem like a small number, but it's the biggest fall since 1956 – which was when they started to track the living standards.   Its not predicted to increase for at least 2 years after that.   This long term decrease has happened before in 2008 but not as much.   In effect its like turning back time to 2013 to how the standard of living was back then.   Losing 8 years of the economy growth.   The bank of England has released a statement expecting the longest recession the UK has ever seen.   Predicting that Europe could possibly follow.   What about the rest of the world? The UK being one of the big players as the 6th largest economy in the world behind – India Germany Japan China And the biggest The United States.   UK cant be the only one in trouble with living standards right now?   The UK has always been know as expensive, with how much it costs to own a  property in the middle of London.   The pound sterling has always been pretty strong against other currencies all over the world.   Has been in the past! Currently its became a lot weaker.   In the nest 2 years its predicted that 500,000 people will lose their jobs. Then the people who do actually have a job, the income wont stretch as far as it used to.   With less people buying less houses the value of property will also come down. This could be seen as a good thing for people who can afford the interest rates that have also gone up on barrowing.   But this is why the RHDI (Real Household disposable Income) is going down, because the income people with a job do earn – its buying them a lot less, pushing the living standards down.  To fight the rising cost of inflation in the UK, the Bank Of England raised its interest rate from 0.75% TO 3% - The biggest rise in 33 years.   So how did the UK get to be in this terrible situation?   Its no surprise it has something to do with Brexit, the UK voted to exit the European union. The EU or European union was formed in 1992 that was an agreement between countries, so that they can all trade with each other without expensive taxes. Also to let each other travel in the Europe without and special visas.   In addition the euro was born. Witch gave the European union stability in the financial markets.   However the UK decided to opt out of the euro currency to be completely independent. With what happened in Greece in 2009, this proved to be a good move.   When the UK existed the European union it made it a lot more expensive for the UK to do business. This is another reason the pound sterling is becoming weaker due to instability in the market.   Not Only Brexit To Blame For the Decline    Another reason is due to Liz Truss announcement out of nowhere that the UK was going to cut taxes on the rich!   No explanation on how the plan was going to work or be funded to benefit the UK economy. Costing the government Liz was in charge of, £45 billion.   The banks saw this as a crazy move and hiked up interest rates to cover themselves.   When the Prime – minister of the UK realized it wasn't a good idea, there was no other option but to quit. Breaking a 300 year old record of the shortest time serving the UK government.   What Are YOU Going To Do To Improve Your Living Standards?   Inflation and the UK economy is in a terrible state right now. So how are you going to make sure it has less of an impact on you?   By working on a business that can operate worldwide internationally!   This isn't investing 1000 of pounds in foreign currencies or real estate in the US. Its building an online business through the power of the internet in order to sell products to customers world wide in every economy.   When you rely on the UK economy to get better, it may take around 2 years before we see any real growth.   This can be initially started as a side hustle and easily grow into a full time job. Create another stream of income along side the job you do.   That's what you are about to find out.   Programed To Feel Stuck You parents and society advice you to get a trade under your belt. Weather it be – Electrician Plumber Hairdresser Accountant Builder Its common knowledge that people will always need this type of skilled workers.   There are too many pros to learning a trade to see any of the cons.   That is until you have done the job for a number of years. Being a tradesman your always looking to make more money, or to better your circumstances in life.   After being employed for a few years, the next best thing is to start up your own business – then your trapped.   The moneys good, you have a big network of customers to keep happy, because you want to keep the constant work coming in.     That's just it, being a tradesperson isn't easy. It also isn't something you can make money out of if your not physically there doing the job.   Trying Different Things...... You could have a membership that you offer to customers, where if they get a problem, you will be there within 24 hours.   Then you have a 24 hour call out service and need to be ready all the time.   However you look at building a passive income as a tradesman, its comes at a cost of your time.   Then there is the fear of change. Keeping you feeling stuck. How the hell can you do something different after being the same person for so many years. Its not only the fear, its other peoples opinion and what they think of you.   When I left schools I started a mechanic apprenticeship. I lasted a year getting covered in oil and grease before thinking – this isn't for me, I didn't feel stuck back then. So when I got my apprenticeship as an electrician, I went back to the same collage. Saw the same tutors and they said to me “what's next year Ben, you going to come back and do painting?”   I did finish the apprenticeship as an electrician, just quit that too 20 years later.   Who actually makes the decision that you can't change your mind, you can't give something else a try? We know it should be us, its just the outside influences that stop us. How many times have you missed out on trying something because you were worried what others would say?   Its time to stop all that. Think about you and what you want in your life. What advice would you give your child if they were you?   Make a plan and quit! Make a plan first you don't want to become a bum.

Trying to keep control of your budget on what your spending, can be a challenge. You work hard – earned some good money. But never had any spare – never had any savings for a rainy day.   It took me a little while – but I found out why. So I'm here today to help you do the same with an option to make those savings grow a lot quicker.   Few years ago my main source of income was an electrician, I ran my own electrical business and it was going pretty well.   It had to really I had been in the trade for over 20 years, starting up on your own was a natural thing for a lot of tradesmen to do.   The reason I did was because I wanted more of the pie. Planning Running Completing jobs All for other people who too the lions share of the profits seemed a waste of time after a while. Of course there was also the money. I wanted to make more money to have a nicer car and a bigger house.   That Was The Plan Anyway. It didn't work out like that and its not until I look back years later I actually figured out why.   When employed or self-employed working for a company you are paid a wage. Near enough the same wage every week.   That's pretty easy to budget around. It's a set amount every week – pay your bills and the rest is yours to spend.   But there something more appealing to being your own boss. Make a lot more money Take time off when you like Work whenever you like   That's the idea we have in your head from the beginning, and dam its exciting. After completing a few jobs things are going well.   Keeping An Eye On the Budget How long does it take before your budgeting goes out the window?   There a fancy new bit of kit at the wholesales – that will make your life so much easier on site.   It's a grand, that's in your back pocket from the last job…   So you treat yourself.   There £100 in your pocket left over – may as well have a few beers with the other lads from site.   This quickly becomes a lifestyle.   The only problem is all outgoing like Insurance Wholesale invoices Tax Credit card They all come out monthly.   When you have been living weekly. It can go on for a while until the work dries up a little and that back pocket feels a little lighter then it normally is.   There only a few options left at the stage. Fold the business – go bankrupt Get a job as employed again Pretend everything's going to be ok and barrow money from your mates.   Where The Hell Did The Budget All Go Wrong!   The end or year finances that your account does, says you doubled your income.   So why is there noting left?   Money management! Not only did you not keep an eye on what you were spending.   The things you were spending them on were far beyond what you could afford.   It was inevitable  going to come crashing down.   Of course we don't want to make the same mistake twice!   Learn the skill of money management.   Its hard when you get paid 5k one week and noting for the next 2 weeks.   Its easy to get carried away and spend way beyond your means, then  look back and wonder how it happened when it catches up with you.   A lesson that has always stuck with me is Fail to plan – plan to fail.   That's so true in business. Even if it's a 12 month plan, its better then no plan at all.   The first thing you want to do is give yourself a day to do this. When a task is rushed, its never don't properly.   So book yourself a day off to get things in order.   Open up a spread sheet and detail all your outgoings.   The best way is to check your bank statements from the last month. Then it depends how far you can go back also list the money coming in to your business.   This way you can see where all the money is going and what you need to cut back on.   When I first started doing this, I realized I wasn't charging near enough for a call out.   I may have been pocketing an extra £50 but with the time and cost of materials I was making the same money as I was working in the day.   When you write it all down on a spreadsheet you can see how mush your spending socializing after works too.   And to be honest. The time spend in the pub and the money spent drinking could have covered a week snowboarding in France.   Knowing how much spare money you have is going to help you budget for the future.   Weather you invest in advertising or just have a good pot of savings for a rainy day. The options will be there for you to do what you want and make good use of your time.

When every person needs help with energy bills, somebody is to blame for getting in this position in the first place. The government continue to make a mess of things. Not just over in the UK too. It's a world wide problem.   The UK currency is about to collapse. The US Dollar is in Danger Along with the Chinese housing market about to collapse the economy. How will this effect us – The tax payer.   The Global Recession The whole world is heading into recession, why? Lets start with the UK. Being in the UK myself and knowing some of the people who have to choose between eating or heating there home…. How did we get here? Who is to blame? Is it Putin for starting the war? Or the UK people wanting us to exit the European union?   Both of them and more. But who was in charge of all this? Who can give us the help with energy bills?  The government. With out last Prime Minister lasting as long as 45 days it seems even the government don't know what to do.   What Happened to The £ The value of the pound falling to its lowest level ever against the US dollar due to Liz Truss decisions when in power.   This has a huge knock on effect forcing the bank of England to intervene and raise interest rates, even more than it was planning.   Shooting up the interest on mortgages, where many people wont even be able to afford.   This effects everyone, even if you already have a mortgage. I have a friend who rents a property, the property has a mortgage on it. Recently they has to renew their mortgage, this would cost them and extra £200 on the mortgage payments.   The options they has was to increase the rent of the tenants, passing on the burden of the interest increase or pay the mortgage off. Which will add to them also needing help with energy bills.   There will be some people who haven't got option one.   Therefore have to increase the rent £200.   So for a family who is renting, maybe trying to save to be able to afford to get their own mortgage – this pushes them back even further! You can exactly go to your employer and say – my rents gone up, can I have a rise to cover it?   Even if you had a nice boss that would give you that rise, can they afford it?   Its Not Only People Who Need Help With Energy Bills   The fuel prices that are sky high, along with the energy prices. Its not only a problem for the people, it's a big problem for business too.   If you think of builders. The cost of materials went up a few years ago, they never came back down. This put the cost of work up builders did for the customer.   With how scared people are with the way the economy is, many people are deciding to put the building work on hold.   Then the small business owners who have purchased equipment cant afford to keep up the payments – so sell it. This makes it harder to keep the business going. In the end the business closes, the owner has no choice but to claim benefits from the government. All this is from the decisions of a Prime Minister of 45 days!   I'm interested to see how we can climb out of this hole the UK is in.   Needing Help With Energy Bills & Food Lets move on to the US.   The inflation in the US is the highest its been in 40 years!

Affiliate marketing as a business model is becoming very popular all over the world. 1000s of people are starting to become affiliates for many different businesses. But after a while, quit because they don't get the results promised.   Here I will explain WHY that is and where so many people are going wrong in affiliate marketing. Join the Break the chains community Here   What is Affiliate Marketing? Online there are so many opportunities to enable you to be able to quit your 9 to 5 job, one of the easiest business models is affiliate marketing.   Done correct however.   Affiliate marketing is where you recommend somebody else's product of service to an audience. In return, the person who owns that product will pay you a commission. These commission can be a set figure of anything between 10% - 90% depending on the product. As the affiliate for that product, you don't have to deal with returns of any of the customer support.   This is why affiliate marketing is so appealing.   Unfortunately, people enter into the world of affiliate marketing with very high expectations, then when they are not met – they quit.   Because of the opportunity to make so much money very quickly people are drawn towards shortcuts.   Shortcut To Affiliate Marketing The biggest shortcut in affiliate marketing is high ticket.   This is where a person signed up to a training course at an average cost of 1k-10k and then have the option to be an affiliate for that training.   Its seen as a win win situation. You get the training on how affiliate marketing works and a product to sell as an affiliate.   This is where you jump in the training program for $5000. The creator of the program gets $3000 and the person who told you about it gets $2000.   That's you hooked, someone recommended it to you, so you could do the same right?   The training is all about how to become an affiliate for the training course you just invested in.   So every time you recommend that training to someone you get $2000.   The creator of the course has 100s of people doing this every day. Each time making $3000 and paying the affiliates $2000.   The course has a number of recorded videos that the creator make a few years ago, they may add a new one every now and again.   But also you are invited to join a unique group on Facebook, where everyone who has invested 5k into the course can support each other.   Who Make The Most Money From The Training? This is how I found out with research the truth!   With a program that's been going for more than 3 years, lets say 36 months.   A group with 500 members. On average over a 12 month period there are 9 new members into the group a month. Spending lets say 3k to join the training program.   The commission each person would be making a month is $18.   But lets say that its only 10 people out of the 500 having success.   That's $900 a month.   However you look at it its not a lot of money in reality to really replace your 9 to 5.   There are a number of these high ticket training courses set up all over the world.   With the only person actually making money is The Creator.   So the next step to fix this and earn some good money is to become a coach yourself.   Becoming A Coach Hang about, the course you invested in to begin with was all about affiliate marketing.   You need another course to teach you how to become a coach, so you sign up to that. Then you also become an affiliate for the coaching program.   It all just becomes a huge mess leading you down a path that's doomed to fail.   You quit your job only to find you have less time because now you are providing support to different students all over the world in different time zones.   So many people lose sight of just becoming an affiliate marketer, and get let into so many things to try and sell different products.   What is the answer? How do you become an affiliate marketer.   You make a plan and stick to it. There may be a few variations along the way, but always keep your goal in mind.   For gods sake don't start with a  product! Just because you can sell it for 3k and make a good commission. Even if you do get lucky and manage to sell 1 or 2, your going to struggle to maintain that income.   Think of something you enjoy. Just because you can make a commission of 1k on a product, but your not actually really interested in the product yourself – wont work out.   Lets say you enjoy gardening.   It's a common interest and many people all over the works do it to relax. But if they are like me, just because I enjoy something – doesn't mean I'm any good at it.   However because you enjoy it, you wont mind learning more and becoming better.   Lets say you do some research into what are actual plants and what are weeds on your garden, something you find interesting and want the answer to.   Create content around that subject. A website Podcast YouTube Blog Anything to document what you're learning and how your learning it.   Publish what your leaning on the internet. After a while you will build up a following. People will start to follow what your doing and naturally want to know more. Where do you get your seeds? What type of spade do you use? Where can I get a green house like yours?   This is where you can make money becoming an affiliate marketer.   With links in your content to different products and services.   The best thing is that the content you create is evergreen and available on the internet for the whole wide world to see forever.   This is also how you start with affiliate marketing for free.   Don't get wrapped up in the buying a course to sell a course business model.   I do agree with the best way to learn is to learn from someone who has done it before, but becoming a high ticket affiliate marketer isn't a long tern business model in my opinion.   If you share the same views on affiliate marketing and would like to know more ways to break the chains to your 9 to 5 career. This blog post is aimed more towards the trades men and women of the world. Electricians Builders Plumbers Etc.   If you know the term on the tools, it means you work with your hands – you're a grafter!   I'm not sure if that's a load of slang in the UK and you guys across the world will actually understand what I'm on about here.   On The Tools Employees and Off the Tools Employees There are people who go out to the work in business and there people who work in the office, Doing the paper work. If your out on site, you look at the guys in the office and see there job as easy – and aspire to be in their position one day.   That's if you work your way up in the company. You're a good employee and get moved up to the next level as a reward.   This is something I did years ago. I worked for a electrical company on the tools doing the installs on site.   I always thought working in the office would be more glamorous and would earn me more money. Possibly and easier life I suppose. That's what you work towards right?   An easy life and more money in the bank?   Well there was a lesson to be learnt from back then. This can be true in some cases – but in the majority of cases its bollox!   Over the 4 years online I have heard people say that amazon FBA is a passive income…   WHO's going to: Source the product Market the product Keep the stock in amazon Pack the product off to amazon   All these things will need to be done all the time, I only know this because I did amazon FBA a few years ago.   Passive income CAN be made in a number of different ways. One way it cant be made is working a 9to5 and trading your time for money.   Although with any stream of income, weather it be recurring or passive, it will take some work to set up at the beginning.   With any income I have made over the 4 years online I has taken me a while to set it up from the beginning. With each project I have set up, some make pennies and some make pounds, but all are growing over time. Here are some ideas for you, with each one I will give it a score on How much upfront work it will take How difficult it is to make $100 a month passive income Will it be easy it is to maintain the passive income   You can invest in stocks. This may seem complicated at the start. But if you do some research into a stock you want to invest in and how much dividends they will pay you – this can create a passive income.  To be able to make a good amount of income from stocks. You will need to be able to invest a lot of money. So stocks is very easy to set up to begin with. To be able to make $100 a month you will need a big investment To maintain the income, its simple – just keep holding the stocks.   Thousands of people are making passive income with a YouTube channel. Is YouTube a lot of work? It is indeed. Its not a matter of making a video and you get 1000 likes overnight. Any likes on some occasions. But the more work you put in, the more passive income you can make. The more videos you make on YouTube the more money you can make over time. The initial work to start a YouTube channel is a lot of work, especially to be able to qualify for monetization.   But once you hit those targets its very easy to make more then $100 a month in passive income. Then to maintain that passive income, continue to grow the channel just by doing what you have already done.   Affiliate marketing has to be one of the most simple business models out there. Many people create website marketing using affiliate marketing. To eventually create a passive income overtime. With an existing audience, incorporating affiliate marketing into the mix becomes a lot easier. Affiliate marketing is where you recommend a persons or company's product in exchange for a commission. This is why there is so many review websites out there filled with affiliate links to different products. Even though you may not be aware of it, but every major company has an affiliate program. Where they use affiliate markets to create campaigns for them and pay them a commission on each sale. This works well for affiliate marketers and the company, maybe why its so popular online.   The amount of work required to get set up with affiliate marketing depends on your current position. Do you have an audience or a following? If not, I recommend taking some training first on affiliate marketing works. There's a good book called the iceberg effect I recommend.   If you have everything set up, with a place for people to click your affiliate links. Once that's set up $100 a month should be easy. To maintain $100 a month is pretty easy as long as you continue to build your area where the links are, to keep internet traffic visiting.   This is my favorite one – Starting a Podcast. With a podcast its very similar to YouTube but without video. You need to put in the same amount of work in order to create content for your audience. Also keep growing the podcast over time.   Setting up a podcast can be cheap, or even FREE. I started off with a free hosting platform and just recording from my phone. Once your podcast starts to get a following or around 1000 followers, making $100 a month should be easy. To maintain that $100 a month will be easy if you keep consistent.   Membership sites can be amazing for a passive income idea. Sites like Click funnels or Only fans have a monthly subscription plan where you earn a commission every month. Even if you set up your own membership community. You can do this on most podcasting platforms and I know you can also do it on YouTube.   This makes is very simple to set up.   Getting members is what might take you time, how you funnel customers to your membership site will matter. Tick Tok Website YouTube Then give them a reason to join.   Filling up that membership site with exclusive content specifically for the members. Then 10 members at $10 a month will give you $100 a month.   To maintain the $100 just keep filling out the side and providing value. If its an only fans membership – Just keep turning up.   Digital Products online. A digital products such as a training course on how to color hair for hairdressers Or How to train your puppy.   Having a course online that can be sold over and over again can be a gold mine to the right audience. The upfront work will require you to actually make the course or the product. But once that's done you can put a price tag on it for $100 and sell it as many times as you like.   This would work well with a membership site. As many people will have other questions and want to know more from you if they enjoyed your course.   To make $100 a month should be easy depending on how much you sell the digital product for. Then to maintain the $100 all you need to do is keep promoting it to your ideal audience.   The best thing about all these passive income ideas is that you don't have to do just one.   I would however recommend starting with one and mastering it to get it to work.   You could even do this whiles working a 9 to 5 job with a plan to quit in the future.   Which will lead to breaking the chains to your 9 to 5!   Creating a passive income with these methods is a much better idea then having a job that is a waste of your life! Well I found out there are 1000s of other options.   Everyone Is Becoming Wise To 9to5 Jobs Lately all over the world I see so many people taking a step back from being involved in the common system of working a job.   Where people used to value the position they were in and have worked up to in a career. I think that they have taken a step back and looked at what's important in their life.   Where a busy business man would be working 12 hours a day to provide for his family and give them everything they ever wanted, but the only thing he couldn't give then was himself.   For the reason is that it came as a cost.   If he was to be home more often and spend more time around his family, he would suffer fanatically.   Then assume that his wife would want to be with him with out the louis Louis Vuitton hand bag, the kids would hate him because dad didn't buy them the latest phone.   Is that a life you want to lead, buying the love of your family for material things? I think that was maybe in the position I was in.   As an electrician I earnt good money.   Bought a 4x4 Audi Q7 Diamond earrings for the Mrs. Latest phones for the girls Brand new x box for the lad I will admit, I bought everything that made my family smile and love me more.   When myself I was desperately looking for a way out. A way to earn more money so I could take the dog for a long walk across the fields in the daylight with out having 101 things on my mind to do when I got home.   These days all the Christmas presents are clothes or money. These things mean nothing.   The best thing about Christmas for me is the family dinner and getting to talk to everyone and see how they are, then of course sitting down and having a game of monopoly which everyone things I cheat at!   I don't – I just buy everything as soon as I can. Great lessons to be learnt with that game around money.   Every single day is the same. You have 24 hours.   What is important to you, you not going to live forever! Find out what makes you want to get up in the morning, what makes you excited.   Then do more of that! Have a goal in mind that if you like fishing, you plan to make more time to go fishing.   Figure out how much money you need to survive and be able to play golf one day a week.   STOP aiming to have as much money as possible with the goal in mind that you will go fishing when you get there.   What if you never get there? Will you die trying and live with regrets? Or lets say you do financially well and reach your goal.   Retire at the age of 67 with a shit load of money!

Standing in a car park wasting your life in the middle of traffic, waving your arms back and forward. Even though there's no other direction to go!   What is the actual point of that job!   I admit, they person is getting paid to just stand there and wave their arms, but what a way to be wasting your life away.   If your going to do anything to earn money, at least do something that's going to be mentally stimulating – not pay you to be a zombie and waste your life away. This Is Something We All Go Through This is what got me thinking and got me to research are there other jobs out there that are a complete waste of time or a pointless job.    If you need money, I get it you need a job. But go at it with a plan. A plan to progress up in that career or actually learn something. Not be a human traffic cone.   When I was younger I went through so many jobs. Me, my brother and a couple of my friends signed up to an agency.   We basically has a different job every week. As we all know that the job wouldn't progress anywhere – we didn't care. We just got paid to turn up to these pointless jobs. To be honest we didn't even do much to get paid. Just being on site and cocking in on the machine was enough.   The Bakery Job One job we were paid to watch dough in a bakery go along a coveter belt. It was going straight into a machine and being made into a loaf of bread. Four of us stood in a line about 10 meters apart.   It was sooooo mind numbing. Every now and again a piece of dough would come past in the shape of a willy, then one with a face print…   The faceprint you could tell who it was, so that job only lasted a week.

It all started back in 2019 when the UK was slow to react to the pandemic. This forced the whole of the UK to go into lockdown. LOCKDOWN!!! How crazy was that? Business were forced to close their doors and stop trading with no choose, because it was illegal to open. This is where it all began………   A number of company's not just in the UK, but all over the world suffered because of this. They had no other option but to cease trading because the money had just run out.   However the government decided to create a bounce back loan.   For a businesses that did manage to reopen, they were given money to help them get back on their feet. Then came along another challenge. The War in Ukraine. I personally went out to Poland to take some supplies to the people of Ukraine. Why did the war in Ukraine effect the UK?   It didn't just effect the UK. It effected the whole world.   Because of who Ukraine is at war with – Russia.   Typically Norway is the largest supplier of gas to the UK. But Russia does contribute to it too.     Cutting out the trading with Russia has boosted the fuel prices sky high. This had a knock on effect with the logistics of transport of goods all over the UK. Boosting the price of everything up, even food in the supermarkets.   The Cost Of Fuel With most of our vehicles in the UK being powered by fuel, you can understand why company's had to cover the costs. It's the big company's such as BP, Shell and British Gas only went and rubbed the population of the UK nose in it by announcing the tripling profits it made from the price increase. It really does feel like there is a separation of classes in the world, when the already rich and wealthy make even more money.   When the people who nurse us back to health, teach our children in schools and the workmen who build houses for us to live in, struggle to pay the bills.   It's a no win situation for the UK to be in. Imagine if 10k people decided not to pay their energy bills. What would happen? You would be cut off, then freeze to death Someone would be employed to collect the debt from you. There would be 100s of court cases all over the UK. Who will be paying the judges and the court fees – Your tax money.   Now I understand that running a country is a tough job, this is why we have had a number of Prime ministers quit when the going get tough already.   But come on! There is defiantly a batter solution to the current one we have.     The cost of living in the UK is going up, not slowly like it has don't over the years. Rapidly – so fast that the current wages that people are paid don't anywhere near support their current life style.   We jump through all the hopes we are told to. Go to school and get a good education Attend university with a government loan Struggle to find a job because all your experience and qualifications are text book. Finally get a job and start a family of your own With the saving you have, because you studied hard and worked your way up the corporate ladder, maybe have a holiday a year Say goodbye to that one holiday a year you looked forward to. Now there's a choice, holiday or heating!   After the announcement of 45 billion pounds of unfunded tax cuts the British pound to fall to it lowest level ever against the US dollar. Disrupting the markets and forcing the bank of England to react with higher interest rates even more.   Whos Fault Is The UK Economy Crisis From a government that is less than a  few weeks, been in charge.   You would think they would want to make a good first impression instead of the complete opposite.   Its though by a lot of people that all this will push the UK into recession. Really? Do you not think we are there already?   After everything that's going on with the UK Economy and the state it in, I struggle to believe that there's much we can do about it.   Plan For The Future Of The UK Economy  Something that has always stuck with me is Fail to Plan – Plan to fail.   So you need to come up with a plan to thrive when all this plays it course.   Don't limit yourself to the UK economy getting better.   With the internet at our finger tips with have the opportunity to be able to build a business that can acquire customers from all over the world.   With being able to make money online from anywhere in the world you will be less effected by the state of the UK economy.   Lets be honest, its not looking like it going to get any better anytime soon.   Start by checking out this FREE Download  Avoid The Pitfalls - Downlead   The download is 100% free. No money and your flat out broke with nothing?? What do you do? You learn skills. Skills that will help you make money. When you've taken you time to learn skills, they cant be taken away from you. No government can take them You can t lend them out to your friends who never pay you back They cant be lost and you spend hours trying to get them back. Its you and one of the most valuable things you can have.   The People You Meet Online As I have been working online for around 4 years now, I have made so many new friends who are a lot richer than my old friends. But they spend less money than my old friends – Crazy I know! You would think the more money you have, the more you would spend on yourself.   The interesting thing to me is, people with money wont spend it on a fancy new car, they figure out a way to make they money first, or make the instalments on that car. Where eventually that car will cost them nothing.   Before I would save my money up and then treat myself to maybe a snowboarding holiday costing a £1500. That £1500 would be gone in a week. Now I try to figure out a way for the money I have to make the amount of money I want to spend. This could be with a number of things Investment opportunities Creating a course Running a promotion for a particular product   They're a number of options you have once you start looking.   Even with flipping stuff. I have flip motorbikes. Motorbikes is something I enjoy and have some skills in. I can buy a bike and flip it for a profit. Do this a few times and you can make a quick grand easy.   I admit you have to do a bit of research in order to make sure you can make money, but as I always say Fail to plan – Plan to fail.   There is another advantage to doing something like this……   Lets say you see this and give it a go. Flip a few items Phones Bikes Cars Cameras Whatever…..   You can guarantee that there are other people out there who haven't got an idea where to start with flipping items. Where to advertise How to advertise Keyword research to get the most reach from your advert!   So you can create a course on how you did it. If you can flip products and make money – it's a business.   A business that anyone can do. If you created a collection of videos. Explaining how you find that item and how you know it going to make a profit – people will wanna know!   That course can be sold for maybe $100 all over the world, then there's another stream of income right there.   So from one small idea come a number of opportunities to which direction you want to go.   You could of course spend the money you have on a lottery ticket and hope that your numbers come in. Dream are not built on hope. They are build on actions you take in order to make those dreams come true.   Once you get into the habit of making money, the best thing to do is invest that money to make it grow. Don't spend it on crazy fancy cars of gold watches to look good in front of everyone else. That day will come in the future.   So many people in the world have bad money management where they buy something that they know will be worth a lot less over time.   I know so many people who have a fancy sports car but eat beans for dinner every night.   It used to be something I wanted too, but wasn't prepared to get myself in debt over, plus I couldn't eat beans every night.   Getting into this way of thinking doesn't happen over night, its hard to break the old habit that  your used to.   Trust me, I still have a number of bad habits I know I should quit, I just don't have a reason to at the moment.   So the conclusion to all this is learn new skills. If your broke you need to do something about it. A doctor will have to keep turning up and seeing patients to continue to earn that 100k a year. If they decide to take some time off for stress, the money will stop too. But if you build something online. Its evergreen and can continue to make 100k a year on auto — without you having to be there. With — Video, podcast, blogs, training etc. They will be available on the internet forever. If you create some training. That content will be available online for the whole wide world to see forever. As an electrician you get paid once for the work. You maybe take a few weeks to complete a job of a rewire on a domestic house. You get paid once and that's it. If you want to earn more you have to do it all over again. Having a training, or a video you can be paid over and over again for as long as you wish. Branding Yourself Working Online Not Nike or coca cola. I mean making a name for yourself in your chosen market. Like I had to do with being an electrician. The more work I did, the better my name was talked about and the more work I had. So with anything online you need to document what your doing and where you started. Just like I have done with the Break The Chains Podcast. Putting on you Facebook banner “I help affiliate marketers make 10k a month” when you bought a course for 5k yesterday doesn't work. It can for a quick win — but over time its not building a foundation for a business. The whole point of my podcast is to document the steps I took and am taking to build an online brand or business. Mistakes and all. If you have a background of the struggles or the challenges you went through and how you overcome them — you become so much more relatable than, I make 10k a month — do you want to do the same. It will take time to develop the habit of putting it down over night.   Proper Sleep Can Replace Drugs So many people all over the works take a pill to get themselves into a deep sleep. These pills works wonders and the body gets the sleep it needs, however the pill is a drug. With drugs there is always a side effect. That comes in the form of a mild hangover. Over time of using drugs to fall asleep and then drugs to wake you up, this can completely mess your body up. The thing is the old me, maybe 5 years ago thought he was actually happy. I probably was, only because I didn't know what else was possible. I was ben the electrician and that's what I was going to be for the rest for my life. Hard working, fix everyone wiring – Call me up at the drop of a hat and I would be there to fix all your electrical needs. When I foist started working for myself as an electrician it was exciting. Being my own boss Having days off when I liked Being able to charge customers what I knew I was worth. The only this is I had to keep the pressure on. I did, I was very busy all the time. Working 12 hour days most weeks and earning a good amount of money. On my grave stone it would have said – Here lies Ben the greatest electrician of all time! Until I took a 10 day holiday. It was over in Australia. When I was awake, everyone in the UK was asleep – so I couldn't take any calls for the business. Of course when I was over in Australia, I wasn't earning any money too. But the freedom I had and the hassle free 10 days away from being Ben the electrician was enough for me to say – I want more of this. I made a plan, I wanted to change from being Ben the electrician. But coming from a career where I used my hands every day to build things and do manual labor. I will be honest I miss it a bit. Back in 2020 when the pandemic hit and we were all forced to stay at home I started to buy motorbikes from the internet. Give them a clean up with the jet wash and resell them for a profit. As my hobby is motorbikes and motocross I decided to get a bike to do up in the garage, just for something to do. Well!! There is a new phrase on the vehicle market – “ Covid price” This is where since the pandemic the price of vehicles has shot up and everyone wants stupid money things. The idea of getting a bike to do up was not going to happen. Not unless I wanted to loss money doing so. Once I get an idea into me head, I like to try my best. So I began to think…… Where can I get a bargain on a motorbike to clean up and sell on?? I came across a website called RAW2K.com. The website sold all sorts of vehicles that have been seized by the police and put to auction. This was going to be a bit of a gamble. If I bid on a bike and it didn't run, then I could spend hours and a lot of money getting the bike running. No Risk – No Reward That's what I told myself, so I decided to bid on some of the bikes. A few days later I got an email. I had won a bike for £840! This bike was a Suzuki Bandit 1250cc. Lovely bike but covered in dust and it had some slight damage. Saying that, if the bike was up and running and legal to go on the road they were selling for around £2500. I could make this work. I later found out that I had to drive 100 miles to pick the bike up, Maybe should have looked at that first. But I have a van so it wasn't a big deal. So I picked the bike up and took it home to clean it up. Like I said – with no keys and being stolen and recovered it was a gamble. That gamble paid off – it only ran, not only that but sounded fantastic. I took some simple photos with my phone and put it up for sale on Facebook the same day. If you have ever sold anything on Facebook market place, you always get stupid offers which I just ignored. Until I have a person really interested. He came round to take a look and bought the bike. I made 25% on my investment with that bike. That's a pretty good return for a couple of days. I can easily see how this can be made into a business. So much so I have bought 3 more bikes from the same website. The only problem is that with every bike I buy, I really want to keep. As my mrs says – you can only ride one bike at a time and I already own 2. This is a story of a simple idea that can be made into a business where you can become your own boss and break the chains to your 9 to 5 by doing something you enjoy. These types of ideas come to me all the time. I'm going to start documenting these ideas. Just to show how easy it can be to be your own boss and work for yourself. It took me around 2 years to finally be able to quit my job as an electrician. I had to aim towards it before actually quitting. How I managed to quit my 9 to 5 job is all detailed online. I saw the opportunity to make more money online then I made fixing peoples wiring with: Less stress Bigger customer audience All done from home I may have got a little excited and expected to be making millions of pounds in a matter of weeks once I went full time. This of course didn't happen. Although I have a clear plan of how I'm going to get there. Its just going to take longer than anticipated. Taking A Risk All entrepreneurs take a little gamble now and again. It making it work out for you that matters and not giving up half way through. The more I look back now where I worked my 9 to 5 job and why I took that gamble – it makes so much sense to me. The huge amount of money I had to invest into jobs, just to be ignored by customers when it came to paying the invoice. Having to answer emails and calls when on holiday from customers – just to keep the business back at home running. Not to mention the time the whole of the UK was told to stay at home, how can an electrician make a living if it's illegal to even leave the house. The assessments I had to do in order to be approved by the local authorities, being assessed by an person who was less qualified then me! There were just to many cons against not quitting, to the pros of quitting and starting something new. Even though the money as an electrician in the UK is very good, it was everything that comes with it. The hours are not even 9 to 5, they are more like 6-10, 11hr days. But I think that covid just speeded everything up to what was going to happen anyway. With interest rates planning to go sky high, the fuel prices all over the world already have. Your customers are all over the world – its like having a 24 hour 7 day a week world wide shop. That's 100% rescission proof. When all business were forced to close – they turned to the internet to keep their business running. The problem was that offline business owners didn't have a clue how to market themselves on the world wide web. How to target their perfect audience. Facebook made millions from people just creating ads and targeting every one in the world, which is pointless for a pizza delivery restaurant in a small town. So this forced company's to out source the online work. To people online who would do the work for them, for a small commission. Some business have thrived since the pandemic due to moving online. Others have wasted money and gone under. Then people have started to realize the potential of working online from home – Some didn't even go back to the job they had, even if they could. The skills you learn marketing online can be adapted to any business all over the world, its all connected to the internet. I see so many people struggling and trying to keep up with the bills coming in, even trying to ignore the fact of the cost of living going up, but the wages staying the same. Then banging it all on a credit card. I know people who work REALLY hard in their job because they want to keep it, only to find out one day – its gone. The whole business has been losing money and that means every single employee is also out of a job! This is why I think its vital to have a plan B, even if it's an hour a day. You learn something new, look into another opportunity – don't keep all you eggs in one basket. To me its where you set something up and let it run, where it can continue to earn you money over and over without you having to do anymore work. This is unheard of working in a 9 to 5 job. You are always trading your time for money. And to honest there are plenty of online business models the same. Become a coach for example. You cant just sell your services as a coach and do nothing, you need to give that customer support and help them with what they signed up to. This is why I have been taking a look at my actual online business I am building at the moment. Do I want to replace my 9 to 5 with another job where I have to provide support to people all over the world in different time zones. Where the busier I get the less time I have to live my life, which is the whole reason I started this journey in the first place. This got me thinking – Does a passive income actually exist? As an affiliate you need to create content in order for customers to see what you have to offer, like this podcast. – So that's not passive. Having a shoplifty store you need to purchase goods to be able to sell goods – so that not passive. Trading crypto – you need to keep an eye on the market to see when to buy and sell – so that's not passive. Even if you create your own course to sell online, you need to offer support and still find customers who are interested in that course. Is this passive income just a myth???? I'm not one to give up on a dream – some people may call me a day dreamer, but dreams do come true. I found an opportunity that seemed too good to be true, when there like that, they usually a scam of some sort. So taking my own advice by doing research – I dived in deeper. I not only dived in, I put some money into the project to test it out. I wouldn't be here telling you about it if I just got scammed out of the $500 I put in. I would keep my mouth shut. Through being embarrassed. As any thing worth doing – it took time. Time to research – time to set up and time to make a profit that I could actually withdraw. But it all went to plan. I am able to make 5% a month on an investment. 2 months I have been looking at this platform now and trying to find a way that its too good to be true. Its not and like clockwork I am able to take the profits from the money I invested. The great thing is it only took me a couple of hours to set up and not takes 10 mins with withdraw. Witch I would say is the best passive income I have come across since being online. This leave me plenty of time to build my podcast and affiliate marketing business too. The average electrician can make around 40k a year in the UK, and to be honest I was working for myself and made more then that. But I worked really hard, with callouts and jumping to every opportunity to work at all hours. This was all I knew – Work hard and you will reap the benefits in the form of money. I never considered that I had no time to spend that money on enjoying my life. I was too busy working all the time. That's was until one day I applied for a mortgage for a new house. With 100k to put down that still wasn't enough. I didn't earn enough, or so I was told by the bank. I had to make a decision. Work even harder for 3 years and do just what the system wanted me to do by paying more tax and having even less time to live my life. Or Look for another way to make more money and be on the other side of the banks where they will be queuing up to lend you money. Both were not easy choices, both would require me to work hard in order to get to where I wanted to be. The only thing is being an electrician and expanding the business would mean I needed employees and take on bigger contracts in order to make more money – only to pay more tax. I was stressed enough with what I was doing already. With working a lot longer hours than 9 to 5 and spending most of the day on and off the phone. What About The Outside Influences But everyone would look at me as successful, everyone who know me, family and friends would see me so busy with all these jobs and customers. Starting something from scratch would mean I was a nobody. I would know nothing and have to learn so many new skills to be able to build up a reputation in a new industry. As I'm here now telling you this – I took a chance on myself and started right back at square 1. I reached out and asked him to come on the podcast and tell us more. Being 20 years old it was interesting to know if Tom had ever experienced a 9 to 5 job at all. I found out that Tom has experienced a part time job, but always had in mind to grow a social media following for the future. Using the income he generated from the part time job to invest in his own online business. Rather than looking at the money he could be earning working for someone else. Tom looked at the enjoyment he gets out of creating content for himself to creating content for other people. THAT is a huge thing when working for yourself. Being happy with the work your doing. Not just doing it because of the income it generates you at the time. Although Tom will admit that he thinks having a 9 to 5 job would be an easier option, he followed his dream of creating a fan base and an audience of his own. Tom didn't start off with growing on tic tok. His main area of focus is Tom Bids – the YouTube channel. Which he has also grown to a whooping 26k followers. Understanding that it IS hard work to grow on social media, also that you won't receive the real benefits from your efforts for some time. This is something that Tom has got a clear picture of and his goal is to grow for the future of his social media flowing. The YouTube channel is around 4 years old. Starting off in a completely different niche Tom soon realized that he would have to pivot. The channel started off in the automotive niche, filming events with cars. The events were not on regular enough to be able to upload often enough to grow the channel. This is where Tom went into the gaming niche. Then finally settling on building the channel arounds real life. You could say that Tom is a quick learner and changed to what would work for him and what he enjoys.
