Teens and young adults need strong mentors who care about them to help steer them straight, especially when it comes to alcohol, drugs and addiction. Today we're so grateful to welcome interventionist Bobby Newman to the show, to share his life experiences and professional expertise to shed some light on The reason MOST teens turn to drugs and alcohol How you can support your child if you suspect they're using drugs or alcohol How Bobby showed up as the parent his son needed in a time of crisis Connect with Bobby at Newman Interventions Connect with Deanne @radiantmompodcast Grab your Radiant Mom Daily Pause HERE

As a high achieving mom of an 8 and 10 year old, I sometimes find myself trying to give my kids MY solution to their problems. And then I wonder why they won't listen to me!!! When I step back and take a breath I realise that I've been sucked into the same drama that I coach women to overcome. It happens to all of us, and with awareness, it can happen less often (I promise!) The reason that we get stuck in this battle with our kids is because they haven't been given the chance to develop their own solutions. It's not an easy re-frame, but it sure is powerful.
