Real Estate Uncensored - Real Estate Sales & Marketing Training Podcast
As most entrepreneurs will attest, profitability doesn’t happen overnight. In order to make money, we have to put a ton of money, time, and energy into our projects, but what if that wasn’t the case? Buying businesses means we don’t have to go through the process of building a company from the ground up. However, many of us haven’t even considered purchasing established businesses because we simply don’t know how to do it. How can we get started with acquisitions, and how can we be sure we’re buying the right companies? How can we afford to buy a business in the first place? In this clip, co-founder of Unconventional Acquisitions, Ryan Snow shares everything we need to know before buying a business. Look at the biggest expense your business has and ask yourself ‘what if I owned the company I’m outsourcing to?’ -Ryan Snow Things You’ll Learn in This Episode Why entrepreneurs should consider buying businesses: As entrepreneurs, we already know we want to have our own businesses, but there’s no need to start from scratch. By buying already-profitable businesses, we can speed up the process and fast track our success. How buying businesses helps small companies expand: Expanding into new markets is a great way to grow, but doing so takes a lot of time and energy away from the businesses we already have. Instead of starting over in a new territory, look into what’s already there. By taking over existing small businesses, we won’t have to deal with establishing something new. How real estate investors can capitalize on acquisitions: There’s a lot of crossover between buying businesses and real estate investing. The great thing is, with it being so easy to leverage money for small businesses, buying a business doesn’t need to cost much more than a real estate piece- but the cash on cash return will be much higher. Who should avoid buying businesses: Buying businesses is a great way to build passive streams of income, but it still requires some of our time. For that reason, anyone already maxed out with their current businesses should think twice before taking the leap. How to tell if we’re making the right purchase: Buying a business is a big commitment, so pay attention to any red flags that come up. These could be anything from lawsuits to regulations with the potential to put operations on hold. If anything feels ‘off’, we should always go with our gut. Guest Bio: Ryan Snow is a sales leader, business coach, teacher at heart, and the #1 Best-Selling co-author of The Miracle Morning for Salespeople. 100% of us are problem spotters, but very few of us are problem solvers. Listen in this week as Dr. Michael Brown and Ryan Snow describe the practical steps to not only spot problems but how to solve them.
With the end of the year fast approaching, now is the perfect time to gain momentum and set ourselves up for a better 2021. However, so many of us have broken our routines that finishing strong seems out of reach. That being said, falling out of a routine doesn’t automatically spell disaster. We’re not doomed, we just need to reset. How can we get back into the swing of things and make the most of these last few months? What can we do to ensure we stick to our habits? In this episode, #1 best-selling author, sales leader, and business coach, Ryan Snow shares how to get back into the routines that guarantee growth. Establish a focused lead gen strategy and stop getting caught up in shiny objects. -Ryan Snow Three Things You’ll Learn In This Episode How to adopt a healthier morning routine: When we start our days looking through social media, checking our emails, and watching the news, we open the floodgates for negativity. Save these activities for later in the day, and dedicate mornings to growth. How to pick strategies and stick to them: If the lead generating activities we’re doing don’t fit into our lives, we’re just not going to do them. If we can’t see ourselves doing something consistently, it’s best to avoid it altogether. Why we need to stop dabbling and go deep: Variety is the spice of life, but business is better when our strategies are bland. Stop getting distracted by shiny objects, stick to what works, and master it. Our mornings set the tone for the rest of our day, so we need to make sure we’re setting them up the right way. Rushing through the morning only causes us to arrive at the office feeling panicked and stressed before the day has even started. How can we create a more effective morning routine that paves the way for success? With a more effective routine, we can spend more time with our loved ones and boost our productivity at work. On this episode, co-author of The Miracle Morning for Salespeople, Ryan Snow shares why it’s important to establish an effective morning routine and how to do it. Three Things You’ll Learn in This Episode Write it down Journaling is an extremely important component of a successful morning routine. We can’t just keep ideas, thoughts and problems in our heads; by writing them down, we use more of our senses to acknowledge what’s going on in our lives. It’s okay to be reluctant A lot of us are hesitant to incorporate journaling or meditation into our morning routines and that’s okay. We all have things we’re not comfortable with. However, we have to ensure we don’t avoid them altogether. Often, the activities we’re not comfortable with are the ones we would get the most out of. Take control While it may seem insignificant to acknowledge the challenges we’re experiencing, there is power in facing our demons head-on. 1 Simple Thing Podcast | Build a Better Business by Building a Better You!
There are countless books written for salespeople about various sales techniques. Most salespeople use these techniques daily, yet the majority still fail to achieve the results they want. So, what is the difference between "average" performers and the top 1% in your company or industry? The more you study the world’s top salespeople, in any industry, the more you realize that their success is a result of who they are more than merely what they do. Thus, logic would have it that if you want to take your SALES to the next level, you must first figure out how to take your SELF to the next level (because it only happens in that order). Today, Dave recaps episodes 561-564 where Ryan Snow shares tips from his book, “The Miracle Morning for Salespeople: The Fastest Way to Take Your SELF and Your SALES to the Next Level.”
1 Simple Thing Podcast | Build a Better Business by Building a Better You!
Ryan Snow says what you eat, how you exercise, and your mental energy has a tremendous impact on your sales and business. Ryan says when it comes to sales, energy transfers. So the energy we bring to the table is what we’re going to see in our clients. Also, we live in a results-driven society. But sales can be a long and grueling process, so there will be times we don’t immediately see the results of our labor. So it's important to have the stamina to keep pushing forward until we see the results. On today’s show, Ryan gives us some simple tips to increase energy to grow your business.
1 Simple Thing Podcast | Build a Better Business by Building a Better You!
Ryan Snow talks about the importance managing time and money, and how they impact our ability to become successful in sales and business. There are many things we come into contact with in business that we can't control. And when we encounter one of those situations, we have two options: either blame all the outside forces or take responsibility for ourselves and our business. Ryan says, when we start in business, we tend to have a lot more time than money. And it’s easy to waste time when we have a lot of it. So we have to become efficient at managing our time. As our business grows, we have less and less time, but more and more money. So there’s a shift that takes place, and we have to master managing our time and money, leveraging both to make our business grow.
1 Simple Thing Podcast | Build a Better Business by Building a Better You!
Ryan Snow talks about The S.A.V.E.R.S. routine and how it can help grow your business. It’s an acronym that stands for Silence, Affirmations, Visualizations, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing. How do salespeople use these strategies? Ryan says we attract the people we become. So if we want to have Level Ten clients, we do that by becoming Level Ten people. Better sales means becoming a better version of yourself, and that comes through practicing a powerful morning routine.
1 Simple Thing Podcast | Build a Better Business by Building a Better You!
Ryan Snow talks about why everyone in business is in sales - or should be. How does your level of personal development affect your level of success in business and sales? Ryan studied what makes certain people highly successful in business and sales, and came up with two common themes. First, you are always looking at the value that you are adding for your clients, being amazing at what you do. Second, you can be the best at anything, but if you don’t have any clients to add value to, then you have no opportunity to add that value to the world. On today’s show, Ryan will show us how to set our focus to grow not only our business but ourselves, so we can affect more people as we have the opportunity to offer value.
