Stephen Suettinger directs and writes projects which address complicated themes, such as substance use, depression and unrequited love. His unique portrayals have a tendency to delve deeper into their most intimate desires, which occasionally blur the line between fiction and reality and makes for interesting storytelling. Following his debut short film, Writing Wrongs, the Maryland native attended the film MFA program at USC and cut his teeth in experiences surrounding the world of film on projects like Contact, Avatar and Beowulf. At USC, Steve directed his next short, Wentworth, which PBS picked up as part of its Imagemakers series. The film explored idealism and longing among two contemplative lovers, who are already in a state of love and comfort. He directed his first feature, A Year and Change, which was released in 2014 and starred an ensemble cast including Bryan Greenberg, T.R. Knight, Jamie Chung and Jamie Hector and was shot in his home state. In 2020, he directed the period short film, Waiting, which surveyed the patience of love in the wake of the Pandemic. In the midst of several more corporate endeavors, Steve describes the latest projects he is currently developing in our conversation, as well as his early-film experiences, the generation of Maryland filmmakers he is indefinitely part of, and working with some excellent actors and directors.Opening Credits: Jangwa - two beats I CC BY 4.0; Anitek - SuperNatural I CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Can You Actually Have It All In A Stepfamily? Today I'm sharing an interview I did for this year's Stepmom Summit because it's the kind of story that we don't get to hear enough of as stepmoms: a stepmom and mom who not only get along, but are real-life friends, work together, and have made co-parenting virtually seamless for their kids. I'm talking with Emmy Award-winning journalist Catt Sadler and Digital Dept. CEO Sarah Boyd. These women are each superstars professionally, and both vowed to put the kids in the stepfamily first. It's a wonderful story of how the dynamics can come together in a loving and positive way. About Catt: Catt Sadler is a three time-Emmy winning journalist, renowned for her work on E! Entertainment, where she spent more than a decade contributing to E! News, E! News Weekend, Daily Pop, Live From E! and hosting various network specials. She's also been a fixture on the red carpet covering high-caliber events and interviewing celebrities during awards season. She has been co-host of the Vanity Fair Oscars Party show for the last several years. Today, she is the host and EP of her weekly podcast: CATT SADLER Now. Catt has appeared on The View, The Talk, The Tamron Hall Show, and many other programs. After choosing to leave E! over a wage gap issue and receiving an outpouring of support, Catt became a prominent voice for the equal pay movement. She has spent much of her time contributing to the cause by taking part in the LA Women's March, speaking at the Equal Pay Day rally at City Hall in New York, and starring in LUNA Bar's Equal Pay Day campaign. Catt was also selected for the NYDJ Denim campaign highlighting women leading change. She starred in the SECRET deodorant “I'd Rather Get Paid” initiative and MM.Le.Fleur's “What Are You Made Of?” fashion campaign. In 2021 she was featured with a diverse group of women in Summersalt's swimwear campaign celebrating an eclectic group of confident and successful women who love their bodies – in all forms, at any age. Championing women has always been her passion. About Sarah: Sarah Boyd is the co-CEO of The Digital Dept., which represents the most sought-after celebrity influencers. Her current/past clients roster includes Alessandra Ambrosio, Jamie Chung, Olivia Culpo, Julianne Hough, Lauren Bushnell Lane, Jana Kramer, and many more who look to Sarah to help them capitalize on their influential status in the entertainment industry to make their mark in the influencer world. Sarah started her career in Fashion PR and in 2012, she decided to channel her expert industry know-how, her extensive list of contacts, and relationships into starting her own business, SIMPLY, a collective with one goal in mind: connecting. The SIMPLY ‘Do What You Love' event is an annual Fashion and Beauty Conference in cities such as LA, NY, Chicago, and Dubai. Since 2012, SIMPLY has hosted tens of thousands of attendees. Sarah has secured partnerships with prestigious brands like CITI, Topshop, Barney's NY and many more. She's been featured in Marie Claire, People Style Watch, Fox News, E!, LA Business Journal, to name a few. She was named a “Female Founder to Watch” by Forbes and is now a Forbes Fashion and Beauty contributor. In 2017, Sarah completed a successful acquisition for SIMPLY with Socialyte (under the NYLON LLC parent company) and Sarah held the position of President of Socialyte. In 2018, Sarah co-founded the Moms + Babes Box with partner Jana Kramer which is a quarterly subscription box filled with 6+ full sized products for moms and their babes. In 2020, Sarah and Jana sold the business. In 2022, Socialyte was acquired by Dolphin Entertainment, and in 2023, Socialyte and Be Social merged to become The Digital Dept. where Sarah was installed as co-CEO. In this episode, I'm talking to a rockstar in the influencer marketing world, but one who also happens to be a stepmom and has one of the best relationships with her stepchildren's mom that I've ever seen. Girls Gone Hallmark is a weekly Hallmark movie review podcast. This week, hosts, Megan and Wendy, talk about "Round and Round" - a time loop rom-com starring Vic Michaelis and Bryan Greenberg. Don't let the time loop trope scare you off. This might be Hallmark's best movie of the 2023 Countdown to Christmas season! Tell us what your favorite Countdown to Christmas movie from 2023! Email us at meganandwendy@gmail.com and be sure to check out the 2nd Annual Girls Gone Hallmark Best Christmas Movie bracket beginning on January 6, 2024 exclusively on our Instagram. About "Round and Round" Hallmark Movie This movie was written by Tamar Lady. Tamar has just 7 previous writing credits! She wrote “Crashing Through the Snow” for Hallmark back in 2021, as well as a handful of episodes for “Pretty Little Liars,” “Hart of Dixie,” and “General Hospital: Night Shift.” Stacey N. Harding directed. She has 12 directing credits including… "AMISH STUD: The Eli Weaver Story" starring Luke Macfarlane. For Hallmark she's directed Hearts in the Game, “Love, Classified,” “Christmas Sail,” and one of the “Mystery 101” movies. Additionally, she has worked on “Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist” as First Asst. Director, a reboot of “Charmed” and, wait for it… “UnReal.” “Round and Round” was filmed east of Vancouver, BC, in a town called Maple Ridge from March through May, 2023 (according to Heavy.com) Vic Michaelis plays Rachel. She has 24 acting credits which include a lot of shorts and videos but has also been in episodes of “Bless this Mess,” “Upload,” the reboot of “Charmed” and a sketch comedy series called “CollegeHumor Originals.” Bryan Greenberg plays Zach. He's probably best known for his role as Jake on One Tree Hill but his other 47 acting credits include ABC's “October Road,” “How to Make it in America” on HBO, “The Mindy Project,” “Bride Wars,” “Friends with Benefits” and “Prime” (one of my favorite movies!). Upcoming for Bryan is a thriller he wrote, directed and starred in called “Junction” - which also stars his wife, Jamie Chung and former One Tree Hill Sophia Bush. Rick Hoffman plays Rachel's dad Stan. Hoffman has been in a lot! He has 65 acting credits including “Billions,” 134 episodes of “Suits,” “Ballers,” “Samantha Who?” and so many more. David Attar plays terrible boyfriend Adam. Now David might be the only actor who has previously been in a Hallmark movie. We've seen him in “Guiding Emily” “Field Day” “Unexpected Grace” “A Fabled Holiday” “Autumn in the City” and “Nikki & Nora: Sister Slueths. ” Related Podcast Episode: Girls Gone Hallmark reviews "Unexpected Grace," a movie that drew some controversial takes from the Facebook group! Paula Shaw plays Grandma Rosie. She has 89 other acting credits, many Hallmark movies - so David Attar isn't our only Hallmark vet. We've seen her in “Hanukkah on Rye” “Wedding of a Lifetime” “The Wedding Veil Legacy” and “It Was Always You” amongst others. At the time of recording this episode, Round and Round ranked # 26 in ratings for the Countdown to Christmas premieres, with 1.54M live viewers. Feeling Generous? Grab your backpack and your ramen noodles, and join Andrew and Presley as they head back to college with this Hulu comedy! All our Links: https://linktr.ee/seasononepodSeason Spoiler Synopsis: Resident Advisors is a Hulu original television series that aired in 2015. The series follows a group of RAs (resident advisors) and their antics in their dorm, Hutcherson Dorm, at Thoreau College. Across this short series, we see the RAs getting into tricky situations with their residents, such as throwing a party at the dorm to raise awareness about and combat binge drinking, trying to promote safe sex practices but handing out condoms that have been stapled to a board, and throwing a wing event with a motivational speaker who you don't to motivate college students. Each episode of the series leads up to a fire in the brand new $160 million dorm, which we see occur in the penultimate episode. We see Olivia (the resident director of Hutcherson, played by Jamie Chung) being framed for the fire. In contrast, the other resident advisors and some of the students share their versions of the events leading up to the fire. Olivia and Doug (a 30-year-old, 11-year veteran RA played by Ryan Hansen) had spent that night together in Doug's room, and Amy (RA played by Alison Rich) ended up filming the culprit red handed while sitting outside Olivia's room waiting to prank her. Marissa (Doug's obsessive ex, played by Vanessa Lengies) started the fire in Olivia's room to get back at her for seemingly having great chemistry with Doug. The series ends with this video evidence coming to light and Marissa being arrested while the rest of our cast returns to their jobs/lives/antics.

George Khalife, is an American celebrity jeweler and jewelry designer. Khalife has designed, manufactured and distributed his own line of fine jewelry, and he has worked with internationally recognized celebrities and socialites. His designs have been featured in Vogue, People, US magazine and many other major publications. He is widely known as George The Jeweler. The Khalife family had been in the jewelry business for generations. Originating in Beirut, Lebanon, and brought to Detroit, Michigan in 1976, George's father wanted to continue the family jewelry business. He exposed both his daughter, Karina, and his son, George, to the jewelry trade from the start. Karina immediately fell in love and is now the “go-to” jeweler for engagement rings in the state. George, on the other hand, took his time learning the ins and outs of the jewelry business. His mother, Cheryl, recognizing his vast creative mind and talent for the arts, pushed him to pursue these gifts at a young age. She enrolled him at Cranbrook Kingswood School, where his passion flourished until completing his high school career. Continuing his love of the fine arts at College for Creative Studies and working beside his father at his jewelry store, Gold Corp Inc. Gold Corp is the largest wholesale jewelry store in the state, and this set him on the path of jewelry, design and style, a path he is now soaring with flying colors. Welcome to The B-Side, from The Film Stage. Here we talk about filmmakers! Not the movies that made them famous or kept them famous, but the ones that they made in between. Today, Dan and Conor are honored to have a filmmaker who gave us some of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters of all time: Renny Harlin! The Finnish director has a new film out called The Misfits, starring Pierce Brosnan, Nick Cannon, and Jamie Chung. Our B-Sides include Harlin's first film Born American, his Andrew Dice Clay-starrer The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, and the much-maligned, underrated pirate adventure Cutthroat Island. Harlin is a very honest and open guest here, and we touch on many different moments throughout his accomplished and eclectic career. From the struggles and risks of getting Born American made, to the lessons learned on hits like Cliffhanger, and the cultural appraisal of films like Ford Fairlane and Cutthroat. Other topics include Harlin's upcoming Inspector Palmu movie (a longtime passion project for him), a deep dive into the complexities of making every decision in the director's chair, and longing for the days when practical action was a more common occurrence on a film set. Be sure to give us a follow on Twitter and Facebook at @TFSBSide. Also enter our giveaways, get access to our private Slack channel, and support new episodes by becoming a Patreon contributor. We are also now on Spotify and Stitcher. Enjoy!
