Get involved! Fracture is a London DnB vet who cut his teeth in the early Jungle clubs and has been playing on pirate since the late 90s. He was involved in the early Dubstep scene as part of Compound One, and been running a great label called Astrophonica since 2009. On that label they've released some really great music from important producers including Sully, Sam Binga, and Nikki Nair. We talk about his musical philosophy, the pros and cons of the DnB scene, and the problems with underground music more generally today. We also discuss his pirate radio history project, '0860'. Wir gehen mal in die Zukunft. Swuuuusch. “2 Jahre später” steht auf einer großen Kinoleihnwand danach ist Marcus Maak aka Vinylizer in klassischer Drei-Punkt-Ausleuchte zu sehen. Er erzählt von seiner persönlichen Reise durch die Bassmusikwelt. Marcus säbelte los: “Es fing vor 30 Jahren an. Ich gründete 1992 die Radiosendung Black is Black.” Die Sendung beschäftigte sich vor allem mit HipHop, dabei machte er seine ersten Erfahrungen als Radiomoderator. Schnell wurde Herr Maak etwas bewusst und ergänzte seinen Satz sofort. “Ich merkte aber, dass mir ein Genre nicht reicht. Es ist mir zu eindimensional.” Daraufhin gründete er BTTB - Back To The Basics, ebenfalls im Jahre 1992. Inhaltlich soll sich die Sendung mit mehreren Genres beschäftigen: HipHop, House und Acid Jazz, aber schon schnell kamen UK-Ravetunes und Jungle hinzu. Der Grundtenor von BTTB bestand aber immer aus einer entscheidenden Komponente: BASS. -Kino Off- Nur mal ein kleiner Gedankengang, was Vinylizer im Jahre 2022 von sich geben könnte. Es folgen zahlreiche weitere Projekte, die sich mit Bassmusik beschäftigen, wie die Crew WobWob!, eine regelmäßige Sendung auf ByteFM (BTTB), jährliches Auftreten auf dem Fusion und Feel Festival und die Internetseite recordstore.love. Wir freuen uns endlich ein Mix von Vinylizer in unseren digitalen Händen zu halten und ihn euch präsentieren zu können. New month, new podcast. SUNANDBASS Podcast #71 comes from @DJNeptune. Known for releases on labels such as Astrophonica, Droppin' Science, Inperspective, Bassbin and Hospital to name a few, Neptune’s music combines funky rhythms and emotive strings with traditional sampling techniques and technological basslines. Neptune is one half of the dynamic duo Fracture & Neptune, who set up Astrophonica in the early 2000s to showcase their visions of what the music was and what they thought it could become. It is now home to daring artists who share that same flair for rhythm and space, enjoy risk-taking and a have thirst for the new. Last summer, Neptune played his maiden set at SUNANDBASS and tore down the dancefloor with his neurofunk sounds of the late ‘90s. This mix continues in that vein, showcasing some of the deeper aspects of said genre while dropping a few bangers from the time too, of course. Much like fine wine, these vintage records need to breathe; the mixes are long and the tunes are given space to do justice to the time that Drum and Bass was arguably at its peak. So please enjoy! Мы встречали мейнстрим вайб и картель Gansta  в лице dj 007  и BUNGOFF , празднуя в прямом эфире стремительно надвигающуюся 12ти летнюю годовщину группы! Второй час эфира открыл самородок из Самары TOBAX, сразивший своим восприятием актуального саунда новой школы в миксе!Мое появление в эфире слегка омрачилось некоторыми проблемами,неожиданно возникшими с компом и инетом, но Музыка создана для того, чтобы звучать: с любых носителей, при любых условиях, что и было реализовано! Мы встречали мейнстрим вайб и картель Gansta  в лице dj 007  и BUNGOFF , празднуя в прямом эфире стремительно надвигающуюся 12ти летнюю годовщину группы! Второй час эфира открыл самородок из Самары TOBAX, сразивший своим восприятием актуального саунда новой школы в миксе!Мое появление в эфире слегка омрачилось некоторыми проблемами,неожиданно возникшими с компом и инетом, но Музыка создана для того, чтобы звучать: с любых носителей, при любых условиях, что и было реализовано!
