Welcome to SHIPWRECKED & COMATOSE, an in-depth podcast dedicated to the classic BBC science-fiction sitcom, Red Dwarf. After finishing out coverage of The Promised Land, we're nearly out of 'proper' Red Dwarf content now! There's a few specials and DVD extras that we're going to look at in 2026, but we've covered all the episodes of the show now! As such, we're going to embrace our love of specials covering weird and wonderful stuff peripheral to our favourite sci-fi sitcom! Welcome to our look at Blade Runner. This iconic film is acknowledged by Doug Naylor as one of his greatest influences and is homaged (plagiarised?) in Back To Earth. Matt, Kurt and Mark take a look at this cult film and compare it to Back To Earth. If reincarnation is real, would you come back to Earth? Most people say “no,” but if your Higher Self put you here, the Higher Self aligned answer is “yes. The New Orleans #Saints were a no show in their first road game this season at the Seattle #Seahawks. After a 44-13 wipeout, what now? It's a short turnaround for Coach Kellen Moore and company before next week's game at Buffalo? Derry's Dime addresses that, and Saints fans will share their thoughts on another Mano E Monday edition of Dattitude (Ep. 418) presented by Evangeline Securities. We'll also talk about LSU's win vs. Southeastern Louisiana and Tulane's ugly loss at Ole Miss.
When he was elected, Prime Minister Mark Carney promised a trade deal with President Donald Trump, a blaze of new major infrastructure projects and a return to affordable middle-class home ownership. Today, Canadian and American trade negotiating teams are barely speaking, the only prioritized projects recently announced were already in the works, and the housing plan looks like a monumental boondoggle with hazy deliverables, as Brian discusses this week with Stuart Thomson and Tasha Kheiriddin, the team behind Postmedia's Political Hack insider newsletter. As Stuart and Tasha describe, Carney enjoyed a good first week in the House with civility from returning Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre. But that can't last as so many of the high expectations Carney has set collide with governing reality. (Recorded September 18, 2025) Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Sporting KC traveled to LA this weekend a bit short handed due to a rapidly increasing injury list and it looked like it as LAFC were the far better side on the night and came away as 3-1 victors in what could almost be described as a tune up match for them before they begin their club world cup campaign in a few days. There was a moment of brilliance for Sporting as they scored a very beautiful goal that was very much against the run of play to take a 1-0 lead late in the first half. It was unfortunately short lived as LAFC were able to equalize before halftime and then drew a penalty to go up 2-1 causing Sporting to have to push their numbers forward for an equalizer that allowed LAFC to create havoc in transition, which eventually led to a stoppage time 3rd goal. We've reached the midpoint of the season, and it's probably time to take stock in where this team is, what performances we've been warmed by so far this season, and what is reasonable to expect from the team the rest of the year. There are opportunities to improve both on and off the field, as well as a run of home games over the next several weeks to hopefully string some positive results together. Finally we will check in on everyone's favorite topic to be mad about online, the USMNT, the KC Current continuing their dominance even as they struggle with injury issues of their own, and a quick preview of the upcoming home match against FC Dallas.

Is the Todd McLellan new coach bump over for the Detroit Red Wings? Tune in as we're joined on this remote episode by Max Bultman of The Athletic Detroit (00:00) - we begin with a recap of Detroit's 2-1 overtime loss to Tortorella & Michkov's Philadelphia Flyers, including a nice goal from Ben Chiarot & Lucas Raymond, strong play from Alex Lyon, missed offense from Patrick Kane, Dylan Larkin, & others, Elmer Soderblom's season debut, & more (5:30). Pete Dougherty and Eric Baranczyk break down the Green Bay Packers' Week 9 loss to the Detroit Lions, a 24-14 setback that was uglier than the score might indicate, and we aren't just talking about the rain. Despite outgaining the division rival, 411-261, a series of drops, penalties and a brutal pick-six put the Lions in charge for most of the game.

Definitely a tale of two halves in Oxford this weekend. OU went into halftime enjoying a 14-10 lead over one of the better teams in college football, but the Sooners came back down to earth in the final 30 minutes. What went right? What went wrong? Jovantae Barnes had his best game as a Sooner. Jackson Arnold played solid and does seem to have a lot of potential. This OU's best game running the ball this season. The offensive line can't pass block, but somehow they were able to run block pretty well.
