In this episode I interview the queen of productivity, Hannah Murphy. Hannah is a university student with a business on the side (wow!) The fact that she can manage both studying and a business is testament to the fact that this girl knows how to organise herself! In this episode, she shares her story and also her batching tips and tricks. We use the word “batching” a lot, so for those who don’t know, batching is grouping similar tasks together and doing them all at the same time or on the same day, in order for you to work most efficiently. Hannah breaks this concept down further in the episode through a little mini training session. Hannah so kindly broke down her batching strategy into 5 simple steps. Here is a little sneak peak into the 5 steps:    Work out when you want to work. This one's my favourite! She says the first step is to figure out when you actually want to work and how often you want to work. This way you can make sure your work doesn’t interrupt that dream life you’re trying to create.  Brain dump all the tasks you do. Hannah thinks there is something really liberating and powerful about getting out a pen and paper and writing absolutely everything down that you do in your business.  Categorise each task. Once you have it all down on paper, you can categorise the tasks. A little Marie Kondo style! Sort and group together similar tasks for optimal organisation. She gives some really great examples of how she does this in her business. Plan your batch days. Now that you know what’s going on in your business, you can plan your week out and allocate similar tasks on the same day.  House them somewhere. Lastly, Hannah encourages creatives to house their tasks in a project management tool. This way, you don’t have to try and remember everything you’re doing, your project management tool can do that for you. Her recommendation (and mine actually) for this is ASANA. It’s the best!   I hope that you enjoy this episode as much as I did! All the best with batching your work and creating a more productively, and ultimately, more profitable business!   Links mentioned in this episode:  > Hannah’s freebie - How to Create a Productive Schedule in 30 Mins > Asana > Hannah’s Instagram > Hannah’s Pinterest

Beverly Hills real estate agent and content marketing ninja Peter Lorimer is here to tell us all about it. Did you know that Peter used to work as a sought-after producer in the music industry? He has worked with some of the biggest names in music, accumulating over #1 Billboard chart hits by his retirement in 2003. His punk rock approach and social media savvy allow him to build relationships and trust with the people drawn to his philosophy. Tune in to learn about creating an identity that works for you and how to bring your brand to the people who need it. About Peter Lorimer Peter Lorimer was a successful music producer with over 30 #1 Billboard chart hits before taking his talents to the LA property market. His hand-picked swat team of creatives at PLG Estates dance to the beat of their drums while living at the bleeding edge of their industry. Lessons from the music industry to working in real estate Living in gratitude Appreciate the things in your life that make you feel blessed and lucky. Get out of bed with an eagerness to work hard and to be of service. Do not let self-doubt dictate how you go about your business. Beginnings of a music career Peter used music as an escape from gangs, crime, and fighting. From classical music, Peter moved into the nightclub scene and worked his way into becoming a record producer Working in the music industry taught Peter how to treat people respectfully. It translated very well into his real estate career. Fear is a cunning, baffling and crippling foe. Do not let it keep you from going at your goals. From sex, drugs and rock & roll to sparkling water and open houses Living a life of excess weighs heavy on you. Realising where you are and where you want to be in the future is crucial to your ability to change your life's direction. Leave your ego out the door. Grind it out and learn your new craft. Keep your eyes on your goals. For Peter, it was starting his own firm and pulling the levers behind the curtains. Punk rock real estate Do not hesitate to break away from traditional real estate marketing. Work with the people you want to work with; do not attempt to fit in. Sell trust. Build a good relationship with people drawn to your style. Own your space in the market and dig deep. Do not get bothered by everything going around your space. Capture your target audience with social media Customise your content to suit the communities you intend to reach. Use digital platforms to get yourself in front of your target clients. Build relationships and keep them alive on and off social media. You can tailor your online presence to show the various facets of your personality. Prospect your database rather than rely on online leads. The 666 rule The 666 Rule refers to 6 emails, 6 text messages, and 6 DMs a day. Categorise your leads based on how well you know them. Peter recommends 18 touches a day per category. Do not be affected by the results. Divorce yourself from expectations and keep doing the job. The boomerang effect The more you put into your marketing, the more it will return multiples. Remain in action and work as hard as you can. Craft your individuality through marketing and increase your digital footprint. Great resource from Adroll, page 12: https://www.adroll.com/en-NZ/resources/guides-and-reports/20150730-performance-marketers-guide-retargeting-part-i/view/en-NZ § 1. All visitors. This is your broadest segment, and will include everyone who visits your homepage. § 2. Product. Set up product segments for users who have looked at a specific page, product, or piece of content. § 3. Cart segment. Cart segments capture high-intent users who made it to your checkout page, but didn’t convert. For B2B companies, this could be people who landed on a free trial page, but never filled in their information. § 4. Conversion segment. Finally, create a conversion segment to identify users who already converted. You can then exclude them from retargeting campaigns, or create new loyalty campaigns to encourage repeat purchasing. g. Some final considerations on creating ad creative that converts: i. CTA vs stage in buyer's funnel ii. Keep in context what they already know iii. Have a different creative for different lists iv. Auto-tagging in google but don't auto-tag in HS, issues with data visibility in terms of campaigns/ads that worked.
