Hey you! Yeah, you! Have you RSVP’d yet? I hear Barry and Iris’s wedding is literally to die for! It will be the event of the year, and believe me, you do not want to miss it! Synopsis Oliver, Sara, Stein, Jax and Alex have been imprisoned on Earth-X and appear to be waiting for their execution. Luckily, another prisoner has an escape and while our heroes are being lead to their slaughter, Citizen Cold has other plans. He rescues our heroes and his partner from Lance’s evil gestapo and bring them back to their Earth-X base. Back at the base, we meet General Winn Shott who informs our heroes he is about to destroy their only way home. He can save his earth if he imprisons the Fuehrer (Oliver) on Earth-1. Alex negotiates with the General and convinces him to give them one hour before blowing their only way home. Oliver suggests that he impersonate the Fuehrer to infiltrate the base and secure the gateway. Just as our team has gained entry, they learn Winn has decided to take advantage of their opportunity and send Red Tornado to destroy the gate. Barry and Ray work to stop him while the rest of the team secure the gateway. Jax and Stein split-up to work more efficiently, but Stein is shot in the process. As he lies on the floor dying, he realizes he is their only hope and makes one final attempt to activate the gateway. He’s shot again, this time fatally. Back on Earth-1, Cisco, Harry, Caitlin, Wild Dog, Mr. Terrific, Black Canary and Mick have been imprisoned in the pipeline. Eobard Thawne, once again looking like Harrison Wells, has captured Supergirl and is weakening her with red sunlight so he can perform open heart surgery. Iris and Felicity are hiding in the vents and come-up with a plan to rescue the team and call for back-up. Felicity cuts the power and they rescue Supergirl, but before they can escape, they are stopped by Metallo. Eobard forces Felicity to turn on the power and he prepares to harvest Kara’s heart while she is still alive. Eobard prepares to cut into Kara once more, but his blade meets some resistance. Ray embiggens, taking Thawne out momentarily and saving Kara. The rest of the Legends storm Star Labs and rescue their imprisoned friends. Jax and Stein merge so he can be transported to the Waverider. Gideon stabilizes him, but both he and Jax are still dying. As long as their DNA is intertwined, they will both die within a matter of hours. Stein pleads with Jax, requesting the serum so he can separate from Jax, killing both himself and Firestorm, so that Jax may live his life. As our team grieves, they learn Overgirl is going to Supernova at any moment and they must stop her. Nazis storm Central City and our heroes join forces to stop the Earth-X threat once and for all. Everyone gets their moment in the sun as this epic montage of fight scenes showcases all our heros. As Supergirl battles with Overgirl, she hits her critical mass and is about to supernova. Supergirl flies her just above the Earth’s atmosphere and she explodes, sending Supergirl plumetting back to Earth. Citizen Steel catches her before she hits the ground. Meanwhile, Oliver ends the Fuehrer’s life once and for all. To end the episode, everyone attends Stein’s funeral. After he is buried, Barry and Iris ask Diggle to marry them and while he is performing the ceremony, Oliver and Felicity realize they truly want to marry each other. The event ends on a high note with a double wedding, despite the double funeral (Stein and Firestorm) they all just attended. During TVLine'sFall Preview Q&A with co-showrunner Wendy Mericle, it was confirmed that Emerson will be playing one of at least two main threats to Oliver Queen.[Text Wrapping Break]“This character that we're having [Michael] play is somewhat similar to people has has played in the past,” Mericle “But we had many conversations with him about how to make it different, and what elements we could bring to the character to change it up.” Whatever Emerson is now up to on Arrow, the bosses are loving what they're seeing. “He is a dream to work with, and I think he's doing an amazing job,” raves Mericle. “We've seen some dailies of some of his episodes and he's just fantastic. He's a really understated, subtle actor, and that brings a different energy on set. It's great.” https://tvline.com/2017/08/27/arrow-season-6-preview-michael-emersons-mystery-villain/ Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on The Flash, Grey's Anatomy, This Is Us, Scandal, Supernatural, Lucifer, Chi Fire and More (Date: 23 August 2017) Question: Any possibility of having an all-girls mission during Season 6 of Arrow? — “You know, we always talk about that — across all the shows. And it's totally possible,” Arrow boss Marc Guggenheim answers. “But truth be told, I wouldn't want to do it unless we could figure out a way to get Sara (played on Legends by CaityLotz) in there as well. One of my favorite episodes was 406, where we had Speedy, Black Canary and Canary all fighting side-by-side-by side together, and that was a blast. Seeing three badass women was really, really awesome. [An all-girls mission] is on our ‘bucket list,' but I really want to figure out a way to get Sara in there as well.” http://tvline.com/2017/08/23/this-is-us-season-2-spoilers-jack-kid-young-flashback/ New ArrowverseTrailer Teases A Flash/Legends Crossover (Date: 24 August 2017) The teaser blends footage from last season with new scenes from each of the four DC/CW shows - Supergirl, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow. It shows Barry Allen and Iris West face to face in a strange, dreamlike sequence. We get a sense for what that other Flash, Wally West, might be up to once Barry is back in the saddle. In a short scene, Kid Flash and Citizen Steel are hanging out after a fight, with Nick Zano'sNate complaining to Wally that the speedster failed to leave him any bad guys to fight. http://comicbook.com/2017/08/25/new-arrowverse-trailer-teases-a-flash-legends-crossover/ GENERAL DC TV NEWS The Flash adds Katee Sackhoff as DC Comics villain (Date 21 August 2017) Katee Sackhoff has joined the cast of The Flash in a recurring role, EW has learned exclusively. The Battlestar Galactica alum will play DC Comics villain Amunet Black, a.k.a Blacksmith, a steely and badass boss of an underground black market for supervillains. Amunet uses every means possible, including the long list of metahumans under her thumb, to ensure her illicit enterprise thrives. The actress will first appear in episode 405, interestingly titled “Girls Night Out,” which also serves as a mini-crossover with Arrow: Emily Bett Rickards will also pop up during the hour. http://ew.com/tv/2017/08/21/flash-katee-sackhoff-amunet-season-4/ Supergirl boss: 'Maggie does not die' (Date: 25 August 2017) With Floriana Lima not returning to Supergirl as a series regular, the fate of the Alex-Maggie romance has been in question during the long hiatus, but now we have some definitive news. “Maggie does not die,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg tells EW. “I'm sure a lot of people are afraid of that. Maggie will continue to exist in the world and we hope that if the opportunity presents itself for her, that she'll come back from time to time.” Floriana decided to move on from the show and will be written out. http://ew.com/tv/2017/08/25/supergirl-maggie-does-not-die/ EP Phil Klemmer Talks Legends Of Tomorrow Season 3 With DCLegendsTV (Date 21 August 2017) According to Klemmer, Jonah Hex has a chance of coming back to Legends. This season promises to be darker and more supernatural, which is where Darhk fits in. About Snart's return, he said, “It will be about as polar opposite as the Snart that he's played on our show. We've got a cool pitch to justify that version of him, which I don't want to give away. But it's going to be really traumatic for Mick Rory, because he has deified this version of his dead partner in his head, and in a way, Snart's return is his greatest wish come true, but the fact that he doesn't get the version that he's held in the back of his mind is deeply unsettling. Rory's made a lot of progress as well in the meantime, but he's certainly not ready to call himself a hero.” http://dclegendstv.com/2017/08/21/ep-phil-klemmer-talks-legends-of-tomorrow-season-3-with-dclegendstv/2/ The Massive DC Universe Animated Film Boxed Set Is Now Available To Order (Date 25 August 2017) The collection is an enormous Blu-ray boxed set that will include all 30 films released up until this point (that means everything but the upcoming Gotham by Gaslight) along with newly released commemorative editions of Wonder Woman and Justice League: The New Frontier as well as all five “DC Showcase” animated shorts – The Spectre, Green Arrow, Jonah Hex, Catwoman and Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam. The DC Universe Original Movies: 10th Anniversary Collection is now available to pre-order on Amazon for $299.99. It is covered by Amazon's pre-order price guarantee, so if it gets any cheaper between now and the November 7th release date, you'll get the lower price. http://comicbook.com/2017/08/25/dc-universe-boxed-set/ ‘' Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on The Flash, Grey's Anatomy, This Is Us, Scandal, Supernatural, Lucifer, Chi Fire and More (Date 23 August 2017) Since Episode 5 of The Flash is called “Girls Night Out,” is there a chance the girls will actually speak to each other? And might they do so at a party in anticipation of a certain wedding? — Here's what Flash EP Todd Helbing had to say about Ep 5: “It's really fun. The girls [including a visiting Felicity Smoak] go and have a night out in Central City alone, without the guys. And they get into some trouble.” And to the second part of your Q about the possibility of the outing being a bachelorette party for the potential future Mrs. West-Allen, Helbing responds with a laugh, “Possibly.” http://tvline.com/2017/08/23/this-is-us-season-2-spoilers-jack-kid-young-flashback/ Spoiler Room: Scoop on Grey's Anatomy, Supernatural, The Flash and more (Date 24 August 2017) Any more scoop on The Flash‘s girls night out? — That episode won't be the only girl power we'll be seeing this year. “We're definitely going to see Iris' relationship with Caitlin especially developed this season, which we haven't seen before, which will be really nice for fans,” Candice Patton tells me. “Fans have been wanting to see more female dynamic on the show, and there will definitely be that. They're working closely together. Caitlin has been through so much herself in relationships, and I think if anyone can offer advice, it would be her, so she's there quite often to give Iris advice on her relationship with Barry and how to move forward.” http://ew.com/tv/2017/08/24/spoiler-room-greys-anatomy-supernatural-flash/ Spoiler Room: Scoop on Grey's Anatomy, Supernatural, The Flash and more (Date 24 August 2017) SuperCorp scoop for Supergirl. — “Lena and Kara's friendship will continue to grow,” EP Andrew Kreisberg says. “There's a lot of Lena-Kara adventures early on in this season. The most interesting thing about Lena is that she is so good, and so moral, and believes in second chances, but she comes from this family of truly evil people. As people are going to realize over the course of this season, it doesn't take much to make you bad. People don't just turn evil. They do one small bad thing and then that leads to another, and then to another, and so any time you're watching Lena, you're always wondering, ‘Is this the moment when she does the one small thing?'” http://ew.com/tv/2017/08/24/spoiler-room-greys-anatomy-supernatural-flash/ Supergirl: Annable Offers New Clues About S3 Villain Reign (Date 25 August 2017) Reign will be a thorn in Supergirl's side during Season 3. At Comic-Con International in San Diego, Reign actress Odette Annable shared new details about her character. “Reign, as most of you know probably, she's a Worldkiller. She was bioengineered in a lab. She was sent from Krypton much like Kara and Clark, but her story is going to be different than any other villain that you've seen on Supergirl Seasons 1 and 2, mostly because she doesn't come to Earth to go on a killing spree,” Annable revealed. “She has a very specific agenda that she is out to do, and you will see that story unfold throughout the season. For me, it's really amazing because it's kind of a heartbreaking story and I think that you'll feel for her.” http://www.cbr.com/supergirl-season-3-reign/ NEXT EPISODE Link to Promo: (Date: 26 August 2017) http://comicbook.com/2017/08/26/vixen-animated-series-to-premiere-as-movie-on-the-cw/ Episode: Vixen: The Movie (Vixen Seasons 1 and 2) Air Date: CW SEED / Wednesday, August 30, 2017 Summary: Vixen is based on the DC Character Mari McCabe / Vixen, a costumed superhero crime-fighter with the power to mimic the abilities of any animal that has ever lived on Earth. The Invasion! crossover is over! The unprecedented 4 part crossover between Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow was a rousing success. Darryl and Phil give their opinions about the massive event and give four great things we appreciated in the crossover. In addition, we talk the four things that weren't so good about Invasion!. No shows are perfect, and these episodes are no exception. However, it's been an overwhelmingly good crossover that we've been happy to follow all week. Mick's reactions to Supergirl were pretty funny. Three fantastic action sequences: The fight under mind control, Arrow team vs all the past Arrow Villains, All Heroes Versus all Dai Dominators were all fantastic. Arrow 100th Episode: This episode and the end of the crossover, gave a fantastic tribute to all that the show has done. Everytime Diggle gets awkward brings joy to our hearts. It's not a crossover unless John Diggle gets awkward. Four Not so Good things about the crossover How quickly Cisco was up to time traveling when he has been mad at Barry for that very reason. We know he's a geek, but come on. Forced conflicts with Supergirl: Mad Dog made more sense, but Oliver's seemed out of character Slade’s absence from the Arrow episode feels like there's a gap when he's missing from the lineup: He could have at least given a voice over. Citizen Steel’s outfit: It's just not very good outside of the CGI effect. It could have been better, but it could have been worse. The Torah - “Is that from the Torah?” Oliver asks Rory before the Moby-Dick metaphor starts. That's a not-so-subtle nod to Ragman's Jewish heritage, which has been mentioned before. It's worth a note that Rory and Felicity's Jewish heritage makes the current incarnation of Team Arrow probably the most diverse groups of superheroes ever assembled on TV, with Oliver being the only non-ethnic male on the team. It's happened without much in the way of the fanfare and attention these things usually get, so it seems worth at least a mention. Channel 52 - Here, it's Channel 52's news story when Oliver is checking on Dunn. McGuire's ? - It's not clear whether McGuire's (which could also be Maguire's or McGwire's) bar is actually meant to be a reference, but if it is, it's likely to Bridget McGuire, who was an art director on Arrow's first two seasons. ..IS THAT A 'ROCKY IV' REFERENCE? - Because it's Dolph Lundgren playing a big Russian, we're going to be looking for references to Rocky IV pretty much every week until we're sure we've seen one. That said, wrapping his hands in gauze like you do before you put your boxing gloves on (yes, we know his hands were injured. Still!), and then having him unleash a hail of haymakers on Oliver carries a little bit of an Ivan Drago context to it, doesn't it? John Jr. - This is the first time we've seen John Diggle, Jr. actually appear onscreen! He's a cute kid. He also, if you remember, used to be Sara Diggle (named for the then-dead-now-better Sara Lance) before Barry Allen traveled back in time and changed history in the "Flashpoint" event. HUB CITY - "The Marshals are halfway to Hub City by now," Lyla Michaels tells Diggle. Hub City, a fictional city in the DC Universe, is best known as the home to The Question, a self-taught urban shaman. While The Question didn't appear when Oliver visited the city last year, mystic Esrin Fortuna seemed like she had a similar role (and since there was a female Question for a while, some fans on Twitter briefly wondered whether that could be what we were seeing unfold). Moby Dick is a novel written by Herman Melville in 1851. The narrator is Ishmael, and he recounts his time on the whaling ship Pequod under the command of Captain Ahab. Ahab recklessly pursues the white whale, Moby Dick, noted for destroying whaling ships. Ahab's wooden leg is a result of an encounter with Moby Dick. SP's add: Judge Balderama - Oscar Balderama. The video reveals a few glimpses of the “Arrow”-verse's latest threat: yellow, mind-controlling aliens with needle-like teeth and large red spots on their foreheads. Eagle eyes will spot a glimpse of Deathstroke. Link: http://www.cbr.com/new-arrowverse-crossover-promo-offers-first-look-at-the-dominators/ All in the Family (Date: 18 Nov 2016) Highlights from the article in Entertainment Weekly: The crossover story involves the Dominators, mind-controlling space invaders alarmed by Earth's surging population of metahumans. 15 characters from the 4 shows will assemble in an aeronautics facility that's part of STAR labs. This is when Barry Allen introduces Supergirl to the group. At first Diggle is not sure why Supergirl is special, but gets impressed when she hovers. Berlanti is not a fan of the shows being called the “Berlantiverse.” According to him, “There are just so many people that are also part of this. Plus, you never want anything named after you that people could be upset or angry about.” The creators like that the shows are steeped in genuine relationship drama and that they are about something. “These shows have to work on multiples levels,” says Berlanti, “You want them to be enjoyable. But if they're not about something, why are you showing up to work every day and asking everybody to pour their heart and soul into a story if it's only about the Flash fighting a villain of the week?” As for bumps in the road the shows have had? Berlanti says, “We certainly made errors along the way. But that's been part of the fun, too.” Tidbits about each show after the crossover: Arrow - Prometheus should be unmasked soon. “Always in our midseason finales, we like to revisit the big bad,” hints Berlanti. The Flash - The annual Christmas episode is set to be tearful and will also flesh out villains Savitar and Dr. Alchemy. Legends: Captain Cold and Malcolm Merlyn join the Legion of Doom. Supergirl: A cliffhanger teases the introduction of a famous Superman-Supergirl baddie that has been referenced before. When asked if he was having fun doing the show, Lundgren replied, “Yes, it has been a blast. It's fun to play this character. I think he was well-written and I have a lot of fun with it, and the fact that I don't really know where it's going is interesting because I have to keep the character alive sort of within myself over quite a long period of [time]. ... I know it's going to be six months for sure because I'm doing some stuff in February. So yeah, that's interesting. And yeah, it's sort of endearing to have this Kovar fellow be there almost every day in my life too, to be ready for the next shot. So I'm enjoying it. I'm sure the future will be even better.” Link:https://www.accesshollywood.com/articles/arrow-season-5-dolph-lundgren-konstantin-kovar-guest-arc/ Link2:http://ca.ign.com/articles/2016/11/15/arrow-dolph-lundgren-on-how-konstantin-kovar-compares-to-ivan-drago GENERAL DC TV NEWS CW sets Riverdale premiere date; Supernatural, Legends of Tomorrow moving timeslots (Date: 16 Nov 2016) DC's Legends of Tomorrow will move to Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET starting Jan. 24. Savitar was brought into the “Flash” comics way back in 1995's “The Flash” (Vol. 2) #108 by writer Mark Waid and artist Oscar Jimenez. Savitar has the ability to transfer speed from one being to another. Thus, he's able to power an entire army of ninjas with energy from the Speed Force, using them to steal speed from existing speedsters. We soon learn that Savitar is a self-proclaimed god who formed a Speed Force-obsessed cult for himself, developing a messiah complex along the way. Savitar got his powers amidst the Cold War as a fighter pilot that accidentally broke the sound barrier. The footage shows the Justice League scrambling to end a global phenomena being caused by dark magic. When it comes to casting, Justice League Dark nabbed several big names from the DC Animated Universe. Jason O'Mara will voice Batman while Matt Ryan will play Constantine. Zatanna will be voiced by Camilla Luddington, Deadman by Nicholas Turturro, and Etrigan by Ray Chase. Rosario Dawson will play Wonder Woman, and Superman will be voiced by Jerry O'Connell. Justice League Dark is expected to hit DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital HD in early 2017. (Date: 15 Nov 2016) In addition to the arrival of the pointy-eared antagonists, the teaser also included the first look at Citizen Steel's helmet, the return of Deathstroke — and the first glimpse of a new, intimidating logo we haven't seen before. Now, the question arises: who's icon is that? In a recent report, it was revealed that the CW version of the Dominators utilize a form of mind control, a departure from their comic book counterparts. The logo seen in the trailer has us thinking, perhaps there's another, longer-lasting reason the alien invaders will be employing this technique in their battle for Earth. In the comics, the Kobra Cult is a terrorist organization dedicated to controlling the world. In short, exactly the sort of group the Arrowverse loves to introduce as foils to its heroes, and one whose debut during a crossover of this magnitude could lay the seeds for multiple storylines across future seasons for every DC/CW show. The show opens with a sick time pirate escaping from 2235 with a futuristic bioweapon. As he struggles to fly the ship, he radios for help, indicating his partner was infected with the bioweapon and has killed everyone. He crashlands in 1863 Mississippi, and surrounded by Confederate soldiers, transforms into a zombie. The Legends receive the time beacon and decide to pay a visit to 1863 and find the time pirate to prevent him from causing an aberration. Without his Atom suit, Ray stays behind on the Waverider while the rest of the team locates the time ship and destroys it. Our team is attempting to discover where the time pirate went when a hoard of zombies chases Henry Scott, a dispatch, right into their path. After an altercation with the zombies, Henry Scott dies and Mick is bitten by one of the zombies. Back on the Waverider, the Legends try to plot a course of action when they realize the introduction of zombies into the Civil War has caused the Union to lose, which would forever alter history. They remain in 1863 to carry out Henry Scott's mission, help the Union and defeat the zombies to secure the future of the United States. Jax and Amaya go undercover as slaves in order to steal intel on Confederate troop movements and deliver it to the Union army as Henry Scott was charged to do. In this intense storyline, Jax and Amaya witness firsthand what their ancestors endured at the hands of evil men. Jay oversteps his boundaries and finds himself locked in the barn. When Amaya loses touch with him, she takes matters into her own hands and rescues Jax and the remainder of the slaves at Collins Plantation. They watch the plantation burn to the ground before delivering their intelligence to the Union Army. Sara and Nate seek out General Grant and attempt to warn him about the zombies coming to eradicate his army. After showing Grant what zombies are, Sara and Nat devise a plan to destroy the army using nitroglycerin and Nate's tenuous grasp of his superpowers. Just as they are running low on ammunition, Nate leads the zombies away from the Union army and blows them all up using the nitroglycerin. He transforms into Citizen Steel to protect himself from both the zombies and the explosion. Meanwhile, back on the Waverider, Ray and Martin have their hands full when Mick transforms into a zombie and Ray runs into issues with his zombie vaccine. A series of amusing scenes ensue when it is revealed that Dr. Stein is terrified of zombies and Mick has them cornered. The two scientists work together to cure Mick and any remaining zombies in 1863. To show his appreciation, Mick gives the cold gun to Ray and makes him his new partner. Holy Ninjas, Batman! Join the Legends for an accidental trip to feudal Japan that does not disappoint. We have samurais. We have ninjas. We have great fight scenes! The show opens with Vixen sneaking around the Waverider and incapacitating most of our team. At last she holds a knife to Rory's throat and accuses him of murdering Rex Tyler. Dr. Heywood awakens and discovers a new ability, saving Rory from Vixen, who explains a time traveler has murdered Rex Tyler. Sara makes the connection to the mysterious time traveler causing the aberrations in the timeline. Meanwhile, Ray is "training" Citizen Steel when their antics toss them both into time stream, and eventually feudal Japan. Dr. Heywood is rescued by Masako Yamashiro while Ray is captured by the Shogun. The Atom Suit becomes the property of the Shogun, making him virtually unstoppable. Dr. Heywood learns who the Shogun is and that Masako is to be married to him, ensuring her death. Sara, Mick and Amaya leave the Waverider in search of their lost companions when they discover the Shogun has taken possession of Ray's Atom suit. They run into Ray as they are escaping from the Shogun and flee to find Nate. Once reunited, our Legends brainstorm ideas on how to stop the Shogun and save the village. Back on the Waverider, Jax and Dr. Stein are making repairs to the Waverider when they discover a secret compartment. Not only did Rip keep the existence of this compartment hidden from Jax and the rest of the team, but it contains a full armory and a mysterious voicemail from 2056 Barry Allen. The Legends have a final showdown with the Shogun and his samurais. Ray and Nate take out the Shogun while Sara and Amaya take on the samurais. Mick is waylaid by ninjas on his way to join Sara and Amaya. After some epic fight scenes, the Legends are victorious, even if Mick has no proof he encountered ninjas. Ray and Nate return the Katana sword and armor to the Yamashiros, entrusting Masako with the safekeeping of her village. Goodbyes are exchanged and our team boards the Waverider with the vague mission of finding the time traveler who killed Rex Tyler.
