The gangs all here so the group comes in hot this week with Joy, Superman & Lois, Yacht Rock, Three Women, Star Wars Skeleton Crew, and Creature Commandos. Before getting to the nitty gritty, Andrew has a heart to heart with the audience at home. That's right, after some gentle soul searching and badgering from the internet, Andrew has come to the realization that Arcane is an amazing show. Peer pressure is real, kids!! After Andrew completes his apology, the show kicks off with Lauren talking about the new film. Joy, on Netflix. It's the true story of the birth (pun intended because I'm hilarious) of IVF treatment. While maybe not the most compelling film in the world, the acting and the message are solid and Lauren enjoyed it enough. Next up, at the behest of Andrew, Kevin discusses Superman and Lois and the recent series finale. This will go down as a show that deserved better but gave us so much. Is it perfect? No. But it does an amazing job portraying an older Superman/Clark Kent as a man and father along side his wife, Lois Lane. This is a debate with no winner, but the argument could be made this was both best Superman and the best Lois we've ever been given. If you love Superman and can handle that little bit of CW cheese, this deserves a watch. The finale is an actual tear jerker! Andrew then helps us sail away (an Enya song, not related to this at alll) with the new DOCKumentary (HBO's pun, not mine) about the Yacht Rock explosion. It's a fun hour plus of great music and storytelling about one of the most fun genres of music in the last 50 years or so. If the music industry interests you at all, or you're just a big Michael McDonald fan (you know you are...), then you'll love this one. unlike Joy, which Lauren felt was pretty serviceable, Three Women on Starz is a show with a lot of unfulfilled potential. Despite a really solid cast and being based on a best seller, the show starts of hot and steamy in the beginning and just kind of fades off into the ether. Lauren was ultimately a little sad that she watched, but at least she took the bullet for you! Kevin and Andrew go to nerd town next discussing the first episodes of Star Wars Skeleton Crew and DCs Creature Commandos. Neither one is absolutely mind blowing but both are a lot of fun and have a great path forward through their respective seasons. They should also both have a solid impact on the film universes the inhabit going forward. Finally, the show ends on a fun but whiny note. Kevin and Andrew discuss and then eviscerate The Madness and The Dark Tower. At least The Madness has some potential, albeit not a ton. The Dark Tower is an abomination for anyone who has read the source material or even just, you know, watched movies... As always, thank you for watching. If you haven't already, don't forget to Like & Subscribe. We love new viewers! Also, leave us comments and let is know how we are doing and what we can be doing better. Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Seventieth-Third episode, Secret Invasion happened, and I didn't watch it, not only because of Superhero Media Burnout but because the opening intro was made from Artificial Intelligence, which is one of the reasons the Hollywood Strike of 2023 even happened in the first place. My Adventures with Superman has been a critical success, which is why they have Season 2 greenlit and production already in the works; speaking of Superman, the upcoming James Gunn feature has officially cast their Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane with David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan respectively, along with some additional castings that will be covered in a future video after Episode 75. All I can say is good luck to the new Superman and Ace Reporter! On the topic of James Gunn, he had to assure fans that the release of the final season of Doom Patrol would see the light of day despite WBD's multiple canceling of projects. EA, with team members that developed Shadow of Mordor, announced a Black Panther video game to be in development! Deadpool 3 continues to expand its casting, with it seemingly turning into a significant reunion of the many Marvel FOX Era cast ranging from X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Daredevil as Jennifer Garner returns as Elektra with a rumored Cassandra Nova serving as the main villain in what is slowly looking like a ‘Deadpool kills The Marvel Universe' adaption. Lastly, after weeks of contention and stunning revelations, Xbox has defeated The FTC in their attempted Injunction to stop the Activision-Blizzard deal from being finalized and FTC's appeal also being denied, causing the agreement to evolve from an IF to a WHEN. Much to tribalists' frustration and chagrin. Oh, and Elon Musk continues to make a fool of himself. All this and more on Neo-Reality Collective! The movie will serve as the launch of DC's new universe under Gunn and his DC Studios co-boss, Peter Safran. Corenswet and Brosnahan were selected after competing against four other actors for the lead roles. Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Sixty-Ninth episode, Showcases are made direct and move forward, terrible puns I know, with unveiling details and gameplay trailers of Fable, Starfield, and the upcoming expansion pack of Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty, which will fundamentally alter the base game going as far to introduce a sixth mainline ending to the game's main storyline that may save V from death, only time will tell. Star Wars' first foray into Open World begins in Star Wars Outlaws by Ubisoft's MASSIVE ENTERTAINMENT which tells the tale of Kay Vess and her companion Nix, set during the one-year time skip between Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi. Suppose you think of it, with all the added continuity material set between Empire and Jedi in the Disney Canon. In that case, this one-year gap makes no sense if you recall the recently concluded Crimson Dawn Trilogy and the upcoming Star Wars horror event Dark Droids that features galactic-wide events occurring that are never brought up or even subtlety referenced in the galaxy post-OG trilogy. Superman: Legacy, the first official entry into the Gunn-Safran DC Universe, directed and written by James Gunn, is closing in on the test screenings for the roles of Superman/Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor is now set to not only include the usual Superman Mythos such as Krypto The Superdog, but, in a new report from THR, now featuring some of the members of THE AUTHORITY, a rogue group of Superheroes who seek to protect the world however they see fit, which will raise the question if The Authority is already a formed group or will form up in their titular film, either way, this further raises my suspicions that Gods and Monsters will feature a newly formed Justice League fighting The Authority that could topple the more aggressive, borderline dictatorial, team from their pedestal by the Paragons of Hope and Justice. We shall see in this new era. All this and more on Neo-Reality Collective! Brought to you by TheEveryDayFan, check out their links below! A 1950's fictional TV series, Superman, featured mild-mannered newspaper reporter, Clark Kent, a female character Lois Lane and younger male character, Jimmy Olsen. As children we loved it. Superman (Clark Kent) transformed from mild-mannered to super-charged in an imaginary exchange where he received, among other things, a red cape that enabled him to fly and Xray vision to see beyond anything natural. Entertaining yes, make-believe for sure! The real-life comparison for born-again Believers is the supernatural endowment from Almighty God to believe Him for unusual interventions in our lives and His very own empowerment to represent Him in the earth, representing a loving Father to ALL, and any, who will receive Him. If you enjoyed this episode, please rate and leave a review. We appreciate your support! On Running With Horses, we take a spiritual look at the culture and world, as we see it, and the Believer's leadership role as catalysts for Biblical outcomes that impact with God's love. It's a race against time as Jonathan must join forces with assassin-turned-Boy-Wonder Damian Wayne to rescue their fathers (Superman & Batman) and save the planet by becoming the Super Sons they were destined to be.

Legendary Batman writer Chuck Dixon joins Wes and the Comics Aficionados. The Comics Aficionados break down all the latest comic book industry news and rumors. Former DC Comics color artist talked in-depth the issues that led to him leaving the comic publisher. He also claims the comic book industry is being held hostage by identity politics and progressive ideology. Chuck Dixon and the Comics Aficionados discuss the current state of the comic book industry. (00:08:15) Rumors abound DC Comics plan on killing off longtime Superman Clark Kent now that his son Jon Kent has taken the mantel in DC Comics. What reason would DC Comics have to make such a change and are fans willing to accept it? (01:13:52) Chuck Dixon is one of the most prolific comic writers of all-times. He's particularly ill known for his work with Batman and Daredevil. Today we put an age-old argument to rest. Who wins in a fight between Daredevil and Punisher? (01:39:10) Marvel Comics released a facsimile edition commemorating the first appearance of Miles Morales. The reprint outsold the ongoing Miles Morales: Spider-Man series by over 20,000 copies. (01:48:30) Finally, John Campea leaked Spider-Man: No Way Home images that confirm several rumors. This leak just happens to coincide with the first sustained negative publicity for the MCU with The Eternals. Is this an accidental leak or purposeful plant to change the current narrative? Wes is back with another episode of the The Comic Wrap. Wes runs down the biggest comic book and pop culture news and best conversations of the week. Rumors swirled for weeks that DC Comics writer Tom Taylor was turning new Superman Jon Kent gay. DC confirmed this week Superman will officially come out as bisexual in Superman: Son of Kal El #5. (00:00:00) Some suggest this is a natural progression for the character. But looking at writer Tom Taylor's words and recent actions by DC Comics, it's clear they're pushing a progressive agenda. (00:16:21) Just when fans thought it can't get worse, DC Comics continue their downward trajectory. Announcing new comics from Brian Michael Bendis, Mark Waid and Tini Howard in 2022. (00:37:50) Oliver Willis suggests that Superman Clark Kent has been a woke character since the 1940's. (00:59:29) Netflix Daredevil show-runner Steven S. DeKnight learned Marvel Comics EIC C.B. Cebulski used to write under an Asian pseudonym while writing Marvel Manga 20 years. DeKnight called for Cebulski's firing. (01:19:35) Writer David Michelinie and artist Erik Larsen had a public spat over who created Venom: Michelinie or Todd McFarlane. (01:39:37) Perch joins Wes to discuss the 5 worst heel turns in comic book history. (01:57:51) Finally, Tim Lim joins Wes to talk about his latest Kickstarter project, Kamen America Vol. 4. Superman (Jon Kent) is coming out as bisexual. Salida's Dynamic Duo, Terry West and Dave Haynes, have two very different views on what that may mean for comics, readers, and the industry. DC Comics announced on October 11th, on National Coming Out Day, that Jon Kent, son of the original Superman Clark Kent and reporter Lois Lane, will kiss a male journalist friend Jay Nakamura. The kiss takes place on issue five of the series, “Superman: Son of Kal-El,” which becomes available on November 9th. We also address the rumors that the Netflix versions of The Punisher, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones are officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, director James Gunn has announced who he cast as Adam Warlock in "Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3", and there is a "WandaVision" spinoff on the way starring Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness! If they don't call the series "Agatha All Along" we're gonna lose our minds... Plus Dave's weekly Kiss Kruise update and Batman Legos have arrived at the shop! The candid and always original Beau also explains how to balance working hard and setting goals together with being inspired and being present (a harder lesson to learn as he describes in the podcast); plus two things he does every day that bring him joy. https://youtu.be/leYdQBDPhHo You are not a superhero Matthew 6:1-15We've been watching a lot of superhero movies during this year. They are entertaining. Many superheros have alter-egos. Batman/ Bruce Wayne. Superman/Clark Kent. Spiderman/Peter Parker. Iron Man/Tony Stark. They are two different people. One in public- one in privateIt makes for interesting cinema- it just doesn't make for a good example of Christian lifeGod never intended for duplicity in the Christian walk. Becoming a Christian is supposed to be an all encompassing endeavor- public and private are supposed to match upI have seen a ton of double lives in Christianity in my life as a pastor except its not superherosAbusers, drunkards, pornographers, cheaters, liars, gossipers, thiefs, druggers, gamblers, etcFaking it through- and then years later- it all comes out- divorce, jail, destruction, pain LIESWalking through it alone needlessly instead of just being honest and repenting and growingThey talk a great talk and are PROS at putting on the superhero cape on Sunday, but that person is no where to be found the rest of the week- and it all eventually comes to lightNone of us should want to be that person- we should want congruency in everythingTodays scripture speaks to private and public life congruency- its very important Who are you when no one is watching READ 1-7 “do not sound a trumpet -do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, will Himself reward you openly.”” your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly”“ And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do.”Jesus is talking to this disciples and talking about acts of service- is it to be seen?Again- hyperbole- obviously your right hand knows what your left hand is doing- but it's the HEART- why are you doing what you are doing and does it match up to your private life?Anyone can do something publicly to be seen- but the true test is the heart in private past SUNJames 2:14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?Conversely What does it profit a man if he has works but no faith? No sense of commitmentPeople say personal relationship with Jesus- but they have no personal relationship with JesusThey Hide behind these words as a barrier to accountability or reality “look what im doing” Your wife is sad, angry, and neglected- but you have a personal relationship with your wife? Many people hide behind no works and claim faith- but many claim their works are their faithTrue faith is private faith that you hold and exercise when no one is watching- this isn't a gameMatthew 5:20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.Matthew 7:21-23 ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'God wants to know you and you to know him intimately- but outward acts isn't the ticketGod wants a robust private relationship with you- not one where you come into a group of believers and try to act like you got it all together on a Sunday and then go to HellThis is a safe place- find someone to be honest about whats holding you back and lets work on it- Don't live a private destructive existence- it wont get better on its own. 2 Peter 1:5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,Diligence in your Christian walk requires a measure of work and commitment- and HONESTYI'll take the “I can't stop drinking and cussing guy” over the “Yeah man, I'm good” guy any day. Wrestling- run over break- every day- show up get on the scale- clear who was diligentTitus 1:16 They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work. That's a demanding scripture! That's a Scripture that should scare you! If your private life isn't matching up to your public life- its time to set them in ...
