THE ORDER OF WORSHIP: Why We Do What We Do in Church For centuries, Christians have consistently observed the same practices when they gather for weekly worship. In this series, we will explore the God-given reasons for several of them as we seek to know why we do what we do on Sundays.

When we give tithes and offerings, it shouldn't feel like a chore. Tithes are about following God's command, while offerings are about showing love and giving something extra to God. We should give both with joy, knowing we're doing it for God. When we give with joy, it shows we love our Lord.

Good stewardship of money begins with tithes and offerings, and we begin to give as we come to understand who God is. The first line item in our budget must be disciplined, sacrificial giving. We give in faith, and God blesses the work of our hands.
