Dr. Tom Coughlin, Founder and CEO of OncRef, has developed a platform that provides oncologists with a single source of information to keep up with the rapidly evolving field of cancer research and therapies. OncRef is addressing oncologists' information overload and time constraints, as well as curating and structuring the vast amount of available cancer data. The company recognizes the potential for AI and data-driven tools to advance cancer care while acknowledging the challenges of developing hallucination-proof AI models for use in the medical field. Tom explains, "OncRef is looking to create a single source of truth for oncologists to keep up with the field of cancer. Cancer is now progressing so quickly with more personalized medicine. And now, with AI, more research publications are being published than ever, making it extremely hard to stay on top of this field. So, we're making it very easy by providing oncologists and oncology professionals with a single source of truth, all curated, and giving them exactly what they need rather than having them drink through the firehose of data out there because it's too much right now. So we're taking that pain out of it." "The data is organized in a cancer-specific way. So, categorized by specific cancers and by having a consistent user interface and interaction, we just add the data to our interface so that the user can see what's changing over time. They do not have to wonder where the data is or be uncertain if they are getting lost in that information or perhaps missing what's happening on that constantly moving and progressing leading edge of cancer research." "We rely on a lot of government data and published information. This government data is sometimes very disorganized and unstructured. So, we have a robust team of data engineers that can structure the data and apply some categorization and labeling using our medical team, which curates the data so we can provide some structure to it to present it on our platform. That's really what we're most excited about. By structuring all of this unstructured data, we're setting the stage for a future Large Language Model or system that we can have less likelihood of hallucination. So, by having structured curated data, we will move towards something more reliable and give oncology an AI they can trust." #OncRef #CancerResearch #Cancer #Oncology #HeathTech #MedAI oncref.com Download the transcript here

"I played football to get a free education, I never thought I was gonna do what I did on the football field. But I knew that I was gonna ride that thing until the wheels fall off. " Justin Tuck In this episode of The Pivot Podcast in partnership with Fanatics, Ryan, Fred, and Channing host a wide-ranging conversation with former NFL Star Justin Tuck, as the two-time Super Bowl champion, Notre Dame Alumni and now, a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs opens up on making the ultimate pivot from professional football to financial guru, turning passion into purpose. Justin, a man of many talents and layers, shares how he took his life from football to finance to fatherhood on a unique journey from a small town to the bright lights of New York City forging a path filled with championships, accolades and few regrets. Capitalizing on NFL fame to chase the high-stakes world of finance, Justin shares how he spent years building relationships and learning from the best in business, preparing for life after football even while he was still in the game. For him, the transition wasn't easy, but it was a well planned pivot, from the day he stepped on campus at Notre Dame to playing in the Big Apple to Silicon Valley, all of his moves were centered around meeting the right people and making the most of each opportunity. With one of the best football careers, the guys dive into Justin's time with the Giants and the powerhouse defense he was a part of. Justin shares stories about playing along side of Giants legends like Osi Umenyiora and Michael Strahan, revealing how he learned by watching Strahan's every move—whether it was on the practice field or in the media spotlight he was always taking notes. Ryan asks about the career of QB Eli Manning, and whether Justin thinks Eli deserves to be a first ballot hall of famer this year as he shares first-hand insight on his opinion. Respecting the old school approach of Tom Coughlin and Steve Spagnuolo, who not only led the team to two titles, but helped instill a sense of discipline and determination off the field, Justin reflects on his years with the Giants and acknowledges the team may not have had all the flashiest players, but they played with a "brotherhood" that was unmatched: always competitive, never envious. Justin's story is still writing itself but the chapters continue as the foundation was built through planning, adaptability, and the power of mentorship. His life perspective is a reminder to young athletes not to let quick money- especially in the day-and-age of NIL- blind them to long-term opportunities. Grateful for the fame, fortune and memories, Justin can't pay it back so he continues to pay it forward by sharing details of his life's ups and downs hoping to impact others and help them become best versions of themselves. Send us a textIn this live episode of "2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates," Drew and Rob dive deep into all the latest news surrounding the Giants, with an emphasis on how injuries and potential veteran signings are shaping the team's future. The duo starts off by celebrating a major milestone in Giants history as Tom Coughlin, advances to the next round of Pro Football Hall of Fame voting. It's a proud moment for Giants fans, and Drew and Rob reflect on Coughlin's legacy, his leadership, and how he transformed the team during his tenure. Also in consideration for the Hall of Fame is former Giants head coach Dan Reeves. The conversation quickly shifts to a pressing issue for the Giants: the offensive line. With mounting injuries and inconsistent play, the team may be forced to explore the free agent market to bolster their tackle position. According to a report from Pat Leonard, head coach Brian Daboll has indicated the possibility of adding a veteran tackle, but the team hasn't yet announced any specific visits or signings. Drew and Rob discuss some potential candidates, starting with Donovan Smith, a 31-year-old veteran with nine years of NFL experience, most notably with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Smith has had a solid career, his recent performance with the Kansas City Chiefs raised concerns, as he posted just a 55.4 blocking grade for the 2024 season. Other options include David Bakhtiari, a five-time All-Pro at 33 years old, but his multiple surgeries on his left knee make him a risky proposition. Another significant development is the health of rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, who has cleared concussion protocol, much to the relief of Giants fans. Drew and Rob discuss the impact of Nabers returning to the lineup and how his presence could give a much-needed spark to the offense, especially with Daniel Jones needing all the help he can get to regain his form.As the Giants prepare for their upcoming matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, injuries continue to dominate the headlines. TE Dallas Goedert and left tackle Jordan Mailata dealing with hamstring injuries and already ruled out. The loss of these starters will undoubtedly impact Philadelphia's game plan, especially with backup tight end Grant Calcaterra stepping in after a strong showing last week with 67 receiving yards. Other notable injuries for the Eagles include standout defensive tackle Jalen Carter (shoulder), who has been a force for their defense this season, and cornerback Eli Ricks (groin), both of whom have been added to the injury report.Meanwhile, the Giants have their own list of injuries to manage. Star pass rusher Brian Burns is dealing with a groin injury, and punter Jamie Gillan is nursing a left hamstring issue. Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence and cornerback Adoree' Jackson are both dealing with injuries, with Jackson's neck injury raising significant concerns for the secondary. The episode wraps up with a look ahead to the remainder of the Giants' season, with Drew and Rob discussing potential strategies to navigate their injury-ridden roster and how adding a veteran tackle could be a game-changer for their offensive line struggles.Support the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. Pro Football Focus ranked Joe Judge as the sixth worst head coaching hire in NFL history. Judge's tenure with the Giants was marred by a 10-23 record and a particularly infamous play during his final game in 2021. With the Giants backed up against their own goal line, Judge called for consecutive quarterback sneaks on 2nd-and-11 and 3rd-and-9, showcasing a lack of confidence in his offense. Although reports suggested his job was secure before Week 17, Judge was fired after this game. His issues were compounded by a poor roster and forced decisions, such as having Jason Garrett as his offensive coordinator, and overall, Judge was not ready for the head coaching role.Isaiah Simmons is set to see a role change according to Titans' defensive coordinator Shane Bowen. Simmons, previously used as a linebacker in passing downs, will now play nickel on first and second downs and a "MONEY" role on third downs. This shift aims to better utilize his coverage and blitzing skills.Daniel Bellinger and Jack Stoll attended Tight End University, an event started by Greg Olsen, Travis Kelce, and George Kittle in 2021. This is Bellinger's third consecutive year attending. Notably, Theo Johnson was absent from the event. The Giants' "Helmet Catch" was named the franchise's best play during the "Nights with Legends" event celebrating their 100th season.ESPN's Aaron Schatz suggested that the Giants should sign defensive lineman Lawrence Guy to address their defensive depth. While tight end is a need after Darren Waller's retirement, the defensive line and cornerback positions are seen as more pressing. Guy, a 13-year NFL veteran, could provide depth despite a lower PFF grade and being 34 years old.Justin Pugh believes 2024 is a make-or-break year for Daniel Jones. In an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, Pugh stated that Jones must prove he is worth his $47 million cap hit. Pugh highlighted Jones' efforts in OTAs and his need to perform well, especially with the Giants having an out after this season.Pro Football Focus ranked the Giants' receivers as one of the worst in the NFL, placing them 28th. The performance of rookie Malik Nabers is crucial, and the loss of Saquon Barkley and Darren Waller has negatively impacted the team's outlook. The additions of Nabers and Theo Johnson provide some hope, but there are concerns about the downgrade from Barkley to Devin Singletary.SI's Connor Orr made a bold prediction that Drew Lock could end the season as the Giants' starting quarterback. If Daniel Jones struggles, Orr believes Lock could take over, especially given Jones' injury history and inconsistent performance last season.CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin listed Brian Daboll on the hot seat, despite his Coach of the Year win in 2022. Daboll's challenge is to revive Daniel Jones' performance and secure commitment from a team that has not had coaching stability since Tom Coughlin.Former Giants center Greg Larson passed away. A sixth-round pick out of Minnesota in 1961, Larson spent 13 seasons with the Giants, appearing in 179 games and starting 153. He was a 1968 Pro Bowler and missed only three games during his career, despite undergoing seven surgeries, including two on his knee.#giants #nygiants #nflSupport the Show. All Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. Peter starts the podcast with a Combine preview, explaining the "art" and the "science" of Combine week, and how it's so much more than just the drills you see on TV. Then, he welcomes 4-time Super Bowl champion Steve Spagnuolo to the show. "Spags" talks about being the only coordinator in NFL history to win 4 different Super Bowl titles, why the NFL's youngest defense in the league was able to rise to the occasion time and time again, and how past and present colleagues like Tom Coughlin, John Harbaugh, Andy Reid, and the late Jim Johnson helped him become the coach he is today. Specifically, then, Peter and Spags go into preparing for the 49ers offense before Super Bowl LVIII, and just how special Kyle Shanahan is as a play caller. Spags goes into great detail on the crucial 3rd and 4 stop at the end of regulation and how Nick Bolton had as much to do with the play as Trent McDuffie. He also defends Brock Purdy and explains why he was so impressed with the 49ers QB. Lastly, Spags goes through his previous opportunities as an NFL head coach and his aspirations to someday get that chance again. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
