Superman and Lois have soared onto the CW. Due to the recent Daxamite invasion plaguing National City, Silver Vox and Green Butterfly are a little late checking out the adventures of Kara’s super cousin. I know what you're thinking. You guys said you were not going to podcast about this show. You are completely correct. Superman and Lois' next chapter in life is going to be covered in detail on the Tomorrow's Legends podcast. Our Super Friends Martin, Jess and Geoff will dive in deep week after week as the story unfolds. John and I just wanted to stop by to say hi and share a few thoughts on this premiere. Green Butterfly wonders if any of the stories told on this show could influence or impact Supergirl season six. K Vox would also like the listeners to know that there will be a points deduction for Krypto the super dog not being included in this first chapter. Don’t forget to hop on the Waverider each week to explore these characters and stories and as always have a super week!

Kris and Stephanie share their love for Lena being so over those silly Daxamites in Supergirl 2x21 "Resist." But we couldn't resist talking about Daxamite fashion, which led to quite a bit of hysterical laughter. We're very sorry. This podcast episode contains ludicrous luxuriating in Lena Luthor and her (non-canonical) love of Kara. More typical episode discussion is still to come. Welcome to the DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday May 13th, 2017. As submitted by Edward O'Hare, nickname To Be Determined. 6 new episodes, only 7 and a half minutes! Almost all of our shows are in the home stretch now. Big reveals were dropped and storylines began to converge. Gotham: The Court of Owls covered up Uncle Frank's suicide and Kathryn asked Jim to prove his loyalty. Lee became suspicious of Jim after examining Frank's body. Babs told Ed she learned of a secret group running Gotham and Ed kidnapped the Mayor to try and find out. With some help from Tabitha, Jim convinced Ed to let the Mayor go and delivered Ed to the Court. Oswald and Ivy recruited Mr. Freeze and Firefly to join Pengy's crusade. Evil Bruce was having nosebleeds and Kathryn admitted to him that he's dying.  Evil Bruce then tracked down Selina and told her the truth. Selina told him he could never be a hero like real Bruce, was thrown through a window and surrounded by street cats. Last Minute Reveal: Kathryn introduced Jim to the Court and he put on an owl mask as their newest member!   Lucifer: Chloe and Lucifer investigated the murder of a private school admissions officer. Luci took Trixie along for recon and almost got her enrolled at the school. Chloe was happy Trixie opened up about her fears. Maze and Chloe crashed a parents gathering at the school and learned the murderer was a parent who slept with the gym teacher (I mean health and wellness mentor). Charlotte kept trying to scare and anger Lucifer into lighting the Flaming Sword of Eden. Lucifer spent the episode trying to learn to control his emotions and had a breakthrough when Dr. Laura got him to channel his pain. Unfortunately he was only able to light the sword for a brief moment. Charlotte was devastated but Amenadiel believed Luci just needs time. Last Minute Reveal: Charlotte stepped into the elevator, removed a bandage from her wrist and glowing light shot out of her wound! She is dying!    Supergirl: James was feeling guilty that the people he saved feared the Guardian. A shift in the atmosphere caused an alien woman's telekinetic powers to go out of control. The woman went into hiding but James found her son, Marcus, and bonded with him by talking about losing his dad and dealing with bullies. Marcus brought James and Winn to his mom and dozens of other aliens affected by the shift. With encouragement from James, Marcus was able to help everyone get control of their powers. The atmospheric shift was tracked to the trans-matter portal that Lena was building for Rhea. Kara, J'onn, and Mon-El confronted Rhea but got their asses kicked. The portal opened and a fleet of Daxamite ships came pouring in. Last Minute Reveal: Rhea teleported away with Mon-El and Lena as the skies of National City were swarmed by Daxamite ships!   The Flash: Turns out Savitar is a time remnant of Barry, who was abandoned by team Flash and committed himself to destroying Barry's life. To handicap Savitar, Barry let Cisco and Julian try to disable his short-term memory. Instead they accidentally wiped his entire memory. Barry screwed up court testimony, letting Heat Monger get released, but made Iris happy to see him so care-free and unburdened. When Savitar lost his memory too, Caitlin ran over to STAR Labs and helped fix Barry's brain. After Iris helped jumpstart his memory, Barry stopped Heat Monger from burning down an office building. The team begged Caitlin to stay, but she preferred the Killer Frost life. Meanwhile, Tracey continued her research and she and HR fell for each other. Last Minute Reveal: Tracey finished building the Speed Force bazooka, but the only energy source strong enough to power it is the Dominators' mind-control crystal, which is being protected by King Shark!   iZombie: Liv ate the brain of a hot mess who was offed by her neat freak roommate. After taking the cure, Major reveled in tasting food again, but slowly started to lose his memories, and got on a bus to Walla Walla to visit family. A rich guy offered Don a million bucks for a zombie cure. Don asked Ravi but got a no. Blaine and Peyton started living the happy couple's life, but when Blaine learned that Major took the cure, he admitted that his amnesia only lasted a few days and he has been lying for months. Ravi's cure works! Major regained his memories the moment he saw his mom. Liv was ecstatic but Ravi's office was ransacked and the cure was stolen. Last Minute Reveal: Major had to admit to Liv that he gave away the emergency dose of the cure Ravi gave him!   Arrow: Five years ago, Anatoly and Oliver arrived back on the island and planned Ollie's rescue and return home. Their plans were foiled by Kovar. In the present, a dead body encased in cement was delivered to Oliver's office. DNA and security video proved the body was a councilman that Oliver's father murdered 15 years ago. Thea returned to Star City. She and Oliver tried coming to terms with their father's legacy. Chase hired Derek Sampson to steal ingredients for a bio-weapon. The team took down Sampson and disarmed the weapon. Oliver dropped a bombshell about Chase's father and convinced him to surrender himself. Wild Dog got a hearing for custody of Zoe but, despite Quentin's begging, Rene got cold feet and did not show up. Last Minute Reveal: As Oliver gave a press conference about his father's culpability, Adrian Chase watched from his prison cell and smiled. What's up his sleeve?!

Kris and Stephanie discuss what worked and what didn't work for them in episodes 2x14 through 2x17 of Supergirl, as well as the musical crossover episode of The Flash, "Duet." We have a lot of love for 2x15 "Exodus" as well as Kara and Barry's musical team-up, but not so much for a particular Daxamite's storyline. We also recommend a couple of Supergirl fanfics at the end of the episode. Makaro. The team has been in flux all season, with Diggle being out for certain periods of time, Artemis betraying the team, and the loss of Ragman. Curtis and Wild Dog have managed to stick around, though, and the team seems poised to finally get a new Black Canary full time. It would be unfortunate for Olliver's ragtag group to dissolve so quickly, but that definitely might be the case. The post raves about Daxamite technology, so it looks like Smith's episode will be resolving the ongoing mystery of Mon-El and the aliens who would see him captured. The other post has Smith teaming up with none other than Wonder Woman herself, Lynda Carter! This season has seen Carter taking up none other than the mantle of President of the United States, and the seal on the wall behind the two of them confirms that she is returning to reprise the role. Link:http://www.cbr.com/supergirl-kevin-smith-lynda-carter/    LEGENDS OF TOMORROW SEASON FINALE TO FEATURE JRR TOLKIEN (Date: 21 Feb 2017) According to a cast list for the upcoming season two finale, the show will soon include J.R.R. Tolkien. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared a cast list for the season finale episode, titled “Aruba,” on Twitter. The cast list includes all the usual suspects, like the “Legends” team and the members of the Legion of Doom. It also includes a surprise guest star: J.R.R. Tolkien, played by Jack Turner (Freeform's “Stitchers”). Since we haven't seen a synopsis for “Aruba” just yet, we don't actually know if this is the J.R.R. Tolkien or just another person with that incredibly specific and unique name. The cast list also includes a few other surprise names. Wentworth Miller and Katie Cassidy will reprise their roles as Leonard Snart and Laurel Lance, respectively. Poague's Accelerated Man will debut on February 28 in the episode “Attack on Central City.” A new photo from the episode reveals the comic-accurate look of Poague's Accelerated Man, who is a Speed Force Conduit and Earth-19's version of the Flash. In the comics, Earth-19 is ruled by the 21st Century's King George and has only just begun enjoying “electric technology.” As a Speed Force conduit in this strange dimension, Accelerated Man enjoys a massively increased heal rate, increased perception, the ability to phase through solid objects and, of course, super speed — basically, he's the Flash. (Don't worry, Arrow has already been renewed for season 6.) EW hit the set of the Vancouver-based series to get Amell's take on Oliver's current predicaments as the show builds toward its big season 5 finale. That certainly appears to match the aesthetic of director Patty Jenkins' film. Also notable is Diana's weapons of choice: Although her famed Lasso of Truth is slung on her belt, she wields a sword and shield, emphasizing her role as a warrior. In addition to the Amazon Princess, there will also be Pop! figures of Steve Trevor and Queen Hippolyta. It's likely been the name of a number of time travel-related stories -- but most recently, it was the name of a story that ran through The Flash #30-35 (from the 2011 series) and featured, among other villains, The Reverse-Flash. The fact that the final moments of the episode incorporate the "surprise" appearance of Eobard Thawne, then, suggests this could have been a more-than-incidental use of the name. OLIVER QUEEN - Oliver Queen, seen wearing a suit and not in his Green Arrow costume for the purposes of this season finale, is played by Stephen Amell. The star of Arrow, Oliver is generally considered the genesis point for The CW's DC Universe (even though they obviously had Smallville and Birds of Prey long before Arrow came along). Amell's Green Arrow appeared in the series premieres of both The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow, so this episode more or less continues a tradition. NATE HEYWOOD - Nick Zano joins the cast as Nate Heywood -- "Citizen Steel" -- who in the comics inherits the powers and costume of his grandfather. He's a troubled individual, suffering from both physical and emotional damage, in the comics -- but as Zano told ComicBook.com at Comic Con International: San Diego, that's not the direction they're going with Heywood on TV. THE THREE MUSKETEERS - Cardinal Richelieu, depicted as one of the villains of Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers, being included in this episode more or less cements the idea that they look like that on purpose -- and explains why certain characters who were strategically important in the fight -- like Jax, for instance -- had to stay out of sight. REX TYLER - Rex Tyler, the Golden Age Hourman and a veteran member of the Justice Society of America, is one of a number of DC heroes who would pass on his name and legacy numerous times over the decades to come in the comics. On TV, he made a single, brief appearance at the end of the season 1 finale of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and will show up again -- with the rest of the Justice Society this time -- in next week's episode as well. DAMIEN DARHK - Damien Darhk was the season four big bad on Arrow. Like Ra's al Ghul, he's a very old man who has been kept relatively young by the Lazarus Pit because of his position of power and authority first within the League of Assassins and later in H.I.V.E. Originally created as a villain in The Titans, Darhk's control of H.I.V.E. made him an ideal choice when The CW decided to introduce a magical villain last year. He was nearly unbeatable until Oliver figured out how to manipulate Darhk's energy to his own ends, and now he's dead -- except that as somebody who's been not only alive, but rich and powerful for decades, he's surprisingly easy for a time-traveling troublemaker to find and recruit. ALBERT EINSTEIN - First of all, he's appeared in DC Comics before. In an oversized issue Superman vs. Wonder Woman, Nazis went after Einstein in 1942. Ultimately, Wonder Woman rescues him but ends up finding out about the Manhattan Project. After becoming a person of interest for a while and throwing down with Superman a bit, she ends up teaming up with the Last Son of Krypton to track down and defeat Baron Blitzkrieg. Secondly, the thing with his wife is actually based in historical controversy.  Mileva Marić was a Serbian physicist and has long been rumored to have coauthored Einstein's 1905 paper on relativity. INSULTING RAY - Calling him a "boy scout" feels like a nod to Brandon Routh's time as Superman, but the whole "what are you without that suit?" reeks of Marvel's The Avengers. That's a comic book movie reference twofer! REVERSE-FLASH - Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash, may have something up his sleeve. At the end of The Flash's Season 3 premiere earlier this month, he said that while his future was as it should be, Barry's might not be. Barry then went home to discover a number of small anomalies that made his life and those of his friends worse. Now, we learn that "somebody" is outfitting the villains of history with future tech in order to push the world to a slightly worse place. Could Eobard Thawne have stepped right out of "Flashpoint" and into "Out of Time?" Either way, seeing him and Darhk together is enough to make seasoned Arrowverse fans quake in their boots even before they know the other members of Thawne's little Legion of Doom. There's one big development that's revealed in the clip: Mon-El finally got a job! He's working as a bartender, which makes a lot of sense given his party-boy Daxamite background. True to form though, he's not great at fetching club soda for Kara, preferring to serve her something brown and boozy. Despite the fact that he saves the Flash's life, Barry is none too happy with his protégé, and brings him to task for doing instead of observing and learning like he was supposed to.The clip also teases the introduction of another villain from the comics, with Wally bragging about how he put Plunder into Iron Heights. Plunder was previously shown in a season three episode in a news report, wearing an eye patch.    Link:http://www.cbr.com/tense-flash-clip-finds-barry-and-wally-at-odds/   New Legends Of Tomorrow trailer Features Legion Of Doom (Date: xx month year) * The CW Television Network has just dropped a brand new trailer for the second-half of the second season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. * It begins with Nate and Ray mentioning for the first time that Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) are member of the Legion of Doom — though White Canary doesn't want to call them that. * We also learn, from a Sara-Jax exchange, that the Legion have Rip Hunter. * Lots of great action! "I think that Winn has become a foil for the audience in terms of how he's giving us the fanboy reaction play by play, and that's a really fun, exciting aspect of Winn to play," Jordan said. "That's 'old Winn.' That who Winn has always been at his core. At the same time, Winn is growing up and learning to guard himself and learning to protect his friends and he kind of becomes a little bit of the sage advice-giver this season, whether he's giving advice to Alex or cautioning James to take it easy. I think he's learned a lot from Cat and he's learned a lot from his experience in the past year or so and it's forced him to grow up a lot." It seems pretty clear that Johns' return to writing a DC comic will involve the Watchmen characters that were behind the Rebirth event. But will that be a new series exclusively focusing on those characters or are we looking at another crossover event? There's still a lot of mystery surrounding Ozymandias and Doctor Manhattan's role in Rebirth so the safe bet would be another event series continuing on from where Rebirth left off. As far as a new DCTV series is concerned, will it be airing on The CW, Fox, Syfy or some other network?  And with the large number of DC characters already appearing on the various shows, will it be another spinoff series? Kara still has to figure out how she feels about him." * The fact that we now know Mon-El is hiding a possibly nefarious secret will also have to be addressed, with Adler acknowledging, "A lot of secrets have been brewing this season," and that as season 2 gets into its latter half, "We'll get definitive answers." The alien man escapes the DEO. As President Olivia Marsdin arrives in National City to sign an act recognizing the aliens, she is attacked by an unknown alien with the power to shoot fiery energy, believed to be the escapee. Alex encounters police detective Maggie Sawyer at the crime scene, who takes her to a secret bar hosting aliens. They track their target and Winn discovers that the man is from Daxam, Krypton's nearby sister planet. Kara defeats the Daxamite and locks him in the DEO. She refuses to do anything for the Daxamite, being hostile toward him because of her racial views of Daxamites and the feud between Kryptonians and Daxamites. Olivia is attacked again; the assailant is revealed to be a woman, Scorch, who is defeated by Kara, Alex and Maggie. Kara releases the Daxamite, who introduces himself as Mon-El. She tells him that Daxam's population was annihilated and Daxam is a wasteland due to Krypton's destruction. Olivia briefly flashes an alien face as she leaves, unbeknownst to the members of the DEO. Meanwhile, Snapper undermines James' authority, tasking Kara to interview Lena, who reveals that L Corp has invented an alien detection device. Snapper rejects Kara's first version of article for bias tone. She decides to put aside her personal emotions in order to be a successful reporter. James forces Snapper to stay out of his area. In the bar, Hank encounters M'gann M'orzz, a female Green Martian.

Not even Tucks Medicated Pads could stop the Circle of Fire on this week's episode, as we are continuing our look at that series with Green Lantern/Power Girl #1. What happens when a Daxamite knight and an Atlantean (it's complicated) Power Girl go on a quest to find the capitve JLA? Well, it certainly isn't in any way anticlimactic, I'll assure you that...nosiree! And Power Girl sports a uniform that foregoes the boob window yet still manages to make her look incredibly hawt. Plus we also conclude the "While Rome Burned" storyline over in Green Lantern #136. Kyle has had enough of Alex Nero's $#!T, so he goes on the offensive and takes the baddie down...with a VCR tape. It's more impressive than it sounds, trust me.
