Suffolk County Police Commissioner, Rodney Harrison, was responsible for the creation of the Gilgo Beach task force which ultimately led to the arrest of alleged killer Rex Heuermann. He joined the SCPD in 2000 after serving in the Marines. In his time with the PD, he has had assignments in investigations, crime prevention, SWAT, and am currently the Community Policing Sergeant. Former SCPD Deputy Commissioner Roger Shannon on Breaking It Down w/ Frank MacKay Part 1 by Frank MacKay

Police in Sioux City say two people have been arrested and charged in the killing of a man who was shot after he came to the aid of his girlfriend, who was being attacked. 22-year-old Martez Harrison, of Sioux City, died after being shot around 1 a.m. Saturday outside Uncle Dave’s bar on West Third Street. Police later arrested 17-year-old Dwight Evans and 20-year-old Lawrence Canady. Police say the shooting happened after Harrison and Canady argued, and Harrison called his girlfriend to pick him up. Police say when the woman arrived, Canady assaulted her, and Harrison came to her defense. He and Canady fought, and police say Evans shot Harrison while the man was on the ground. The Sioux City Police Department is reviewing an incident that happened early Thursday at Perkins near downtown Sioux City. The department also released body camera from the incident. A shorter video circulated on Facebook and showed a struggle between officers and a Black man. A news release issued yesterday

In 2017 an AR-15 military-style assault rifle was stolen from the Santa Cruz Police Department and remains missing. In this hour-long interview, Santa Cruz Police Lieutenant Arnold Vasquez discusses the three-week investigation he led into the AR-15 theft. Lt. Vasquez explains that he was unable to discover when or where the gun was stolen. The AR-15 rifle was discovered missing in May, 2017 and was last seen three months before that, in February, 2017 he said.    The SCPD AR-15 theft was not made public and some current Santa Cruz City Councilmembers, and the police auditor for the city, learned of the missing gun from me.     My three-part series on the SCPD stolen AR-15 was published in the Santa Cruz Sentinel and is available online:  https://www.santacruzsentinel.com/2021/02/11/ar-15-stolen-from-santa-cruz-police-department-four-years-ago-still-missing/amp/    The AR-15 was originally manufactured by ArmaLite and is now produced by Colt. In "Gone Rogue," the latest episode, Nora West-Allen stole blueprints from a company named after her. In the very opening of the episode, Nora headed straight for G. Simone & Associates: Architecture, Planning, Interiors. There, she took the blueprints for McCulloch Technologies off the server, then fried it with her Speed Force lightning. Simone, of course, can be credited with bringing Rag Doll into the spotlight. In her cult classic run on The Secret Six with Dale Eaglesham, Rag Doll was an integral member of the team; the character quickly became a DC fan favorite after her run. Since Rag Doll was featured heavily in "Gone Rogue," it makes sense for Simone to get such a major shout-out. In addition to her work on The Secret Six, Simone is a prolific comic book writer. Welcome to "Training Day" rookies! Oliver and his team are required to go through SCPD training in order to become fully deputized members of the force. But that comes with a price. They will have to give up a lot of the tactics and methods they've used all these years to follow protocol. They try to go along at first, but it proves to be much more difficult than expected. That being said, it did get me invested in Emiko & her hunt for her mother's killer. I'm going ahead and predicted that this Dante person, Dig & Lyla are investigating is also responsible for Kazumi's death. Dante/his organization obviously has resources since he paid the long bow hunters for Diaz, so he would be able to commit a murder and set someone else up for it. I'm glad the reveal of Emiko came very quickly. Felicity was able to figure out that it was Thea who killed Sara based on olivers DNA markers in s3 so if she didn't figure this out I would have been annoyed. Oliver's reaction to the news made complete sense. He knows he parents have made questionable choices but they loved him and Thea. So of course it would be hard to reconcile that the same parents who died to protect him would then abandon Emiko.   I really enjoyed The olicity interactions this episode. In 7x08 a big part of their conflict was that she changed and as Oliver said, He fell in love with the old Felicity. And she said she couldn't go back to being the girl he met with the red pen. I think she just needed reassurance that he could accept this new version of her. He gave her that in the crossover, when he said no matter who she grew into he would love her. Now they can move forward as a team. The DNA recognition security system that felicity installed in their apartment may be in the first step toward the Archer program that's mentioned in the future.   Also, I found it interesting that Curtis was the only team arrow member not mentioned as having the Mark of Four. I have a feeling he's dying at some point this season. Your "Past Sins" have a way of coming back make you pay. After an interview on TV about overcoming challenges they've faced, Oliver and Laurel have to confront them before someone gets hurt. Green Arrow helps the SCPD to stop a kidnapper. But Oliver discovers that the man he's after is the son of Robert Queen's bodyguard that was murdered on the raft. And Laurel begins to get mysterious notes threatening her. She believes they are from the man that killed her father in a drunk driving accident and it releases some pent up anger she's had for a long time. Over at ARGUS, Diggle makes Curtis work on the bombs that have been implanted in the members of Ghost Initiative. Curtis wants nothing to do with it, but is ordered to carry out the procedure. Things appear to go downhill fast. At SCPD the vengeful son attacks the police to get to Oliver. Oliver wants Diaz to get his "Life Sentence" after he and the FBI storm the SCPD and defeat parts of his army. But Diaz is nowhere to be found. In desperation, Oliver asks Anatoly for help in locating him. It looks like his Russian friend has really joined the heroes, because he puts his life in danger by giving them all he knows. But Diaz knows that Anatoly has betrayed him and he sets a trap that almost gets Samanda Watson and Rene blown up. They escape with their lives, but Diaz holds Laurel as collateral against Quentin. He threatens to kill her if the Mayor doesn't get the FBI out of the city. Quentin will do anything to save his daughter, despite her true nature. He leads Oliver's team to Diaz, but gets shot in the process. The good guys finally achieve the upper hand, but you never want to be hasty to claim victory. And even though it appears as if they have taken back the city, there are heavy prices to pay for it. Sometimes "The Ties That Bind" us are stronger than those that separate us. Oliver and all of his friends will need to band together once again if they hope to stop Ricardo Diaz. Now that his goal is to kill Oliver and everyone he loves, everyone will have to use extra caution as they're attacked around every corner. The only option Oliver can think of is asking Anatoly for some help in getting to Diaz. Anatoly proves he has found his honor again by feeding them some intel and leading Diaz out. But his new friends in the Quadrant help him out and he gets away, after stabbing Curtis in a fight. Luckily for the good guys, they discover an piece of tech that may contain important information. Lyla will have to break into SCPD with a sniffer to get it. It almost works, but to no avail. Furious, Diaz kills two more leaders in the Quadrant and declares war on Team Arrow. They fail to get what they needed, so Oliver will have to ask for help from a very unexpected source. A fellow LI organizer, born in Peru, in a years time, I’m proud to see his storytelling abilities having developed so much (listen to his take on Glen Cove either being The Wonder Years or Eddie Murphy’s Coming to America.) Overstaying Angel has faed several challenges within a few years a SCPD routine traffic stop led to the deportation of a family member, and family separation, forcing him to grow up fast. Hear how he was first introduced to Ani Halasz - how he then became a member of Long Island Immigrant Students Advocates - and became a part of the immigrant rights movement, advocating for the NYS DREAM ACT, to the two incredibly successful conferences he’s helped to organize, and his ambitions with his forthcoming alternative rock band! He’s looking forward to the future in coalition building of people being affected and targeted by the new presidential administration: he warns that hiding at this time, instead of standing to fight back, will usher in governments in the future that he describes as “even more dangerous.”

"We don't often do cliffhangers in the way that we're doing this season, and we're excited about this ending." Mericle said of the flashbacks that have served as a kind of backup story in the show's first five seasons, “Moving forward into season 6, we're not calling it a reboot, because really the show is called Arrow and it's still about Oliver and his team, and that's not changing, but we don't have the flashbacks. The episode was called Changing, the sixth of the season, and featured scientist Rudy Jones becoming the classic DC villain. It also showed us both Mon-El and Guardian in action after Supergirl and J'onn J'onzz were drained by Parasite. There's no dialogue in the video, but you can see from the different effects shots how many different layers are needed for some of what look like simple scenes and how much of the shots are practical compared to computer generated. The DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday April 1st 2017, featuring recaps for Supergirl, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, Powerless, as submitted by Edward O'Hare (nickname To Be Determined): Supergirl: Someone put a contract out on Supergirl and alien bounty hunters started attacking Kara. Turns out Mon-El's mom, Rhea, put out the bounty. After Rhea attacked Kara with a Kryptonite sword, Mon-El agreed to rejoin the fam in exchange for Kara's safety. J'onn warned Kara and the gang not to go after Mon-El because President Marsdin said so. The team said “screw that”, used a Stargate (I mean… teleportal gate thingy) Winn souped up to attempt a rescue mission, and Mon-El's dad, Lar Gand, realized Earth makes Mon-El happy and let him go. Alex and Maggie bumped into one of Maggie's ex-girlfriends and Alex spent the whole episode forcing Maggie to re-open old relationship wounds. By the by, President Marsdin is actually an alien. Last Minute Reveal: Rhea stabbed Lar Gand in the heart and she is not done with planet Earth!   The Flash: Abra Kadabra was running around Central City stealing from tech companies. Gypsy came hungry to take down Magic Boy for killing her former partner. After being captured, Abra Kadabra offered info on how to defeat Savitar in exchange for freedom. Caitlin took some shrapnel to the stomach, and rather than using her Frost powers to heal, she stayed awake and talked Julian through surgery removing the shrapnel. Barry decided to let Gypsy take Ab Kabs away instead of getting the dish on Savitar. Cisco and Gypsy are not so hot an item anymore. HR was away with a new girlfriend all episode. Barry thinks he can learn how to beat Savitar by running to the future. Last Minute Reveal: Caitlin went into cardiac arrest and died! Julian removed her anti-meta necklace and she woke up, but now she's gone full Killer Frost!   DC's Legends of Tomorrow: It's Doomworld! The Legion of Doom controlled the world and all the Legends were scattered around with their minds wiped, working crummy jobs. Heat Wave was bored of constantly winning, saved Steel from getting killed for figuring out the truth, and used a multiplexer gun the Atom invented to restore all the Legends memories except for Dr. Stein. The Reverse Flash made Dr. Stein create a generator that could destroy the Spear of Destiny. The Legends and the other LoD members all tried to stop Reverse Flash from destroying the Spear but ultimately failed. The Legends now want to try a do-over in World War I. Rip was drunk, baking cakes on the Waverider until Gideon helped him figure out a way to send a distress signal. Last Minute Reveal: The Waverider is a small model ship on Reverse Flash's desk in STAR Labs!   Arrow: Five years ago, Anatoli convinced Oliver to pull a heist for pharmaceuticals to help a hospital before he left Russia for good. In the present, Ollie packed up HQ, told the team to get out, and hired Anatoli and the Bratva to kill Adrian Chase. Diggle wasn't having any of it, kept the team together, and slowly wore down Oliver until he decided to take up the good fight again. Ollie led the team on a mission to stop the Bratva from stealing drugs and Anatoli felt betrayed. Felicity continued working with Helix, and with a huge assist from Mister Terrific, she was able to decrypt video proof Adrian Chase is Prometheus. Last Minute Reveal: Chase killed the Feds protecting him, stole their car and drove right past the SCPD squad cars coming to arrest him!   Powerless: Crimson Fox announced that she was leaving Charm City and taking her talents to Metropolis (adjacent). Emily signed herself and Jackie up for a self-defense class. Jackie blew off the class because she was driving for Uber to get some extra cash to pay for her daughter's school trip, which Emily found out was bogus when she tried to give money to the teacher. Jackie was furious, but after Jack O'Lantern destroyed her car, she admitted that she's taking MBA classes and would still be Emily's friend as long as she turns the volume down on her excitement. Van interrogated everyone trying to figure out who used his private bathroom and left a magazine behind. Turns out no one used the bathroom. Jackie used the magazine to swat a bee that caused Van to squeal and hide. Last Minute Reveal: There was hours of footage showing everyone at the office using Van's bathroom but Peter the janitor deleted it all because Van kept calling him Pedro!
