What happens when God asks you to make a move that looks like career suicide? Michael Wozniak, business leadership coach, author, and former global NBA executive, said "yes" and it changed everything. In this episode, we explore Michael's remarkable journey of obedience, risk, and faith. After a meteoric rise at Pepsi and completing graduate school, he felt called by God to pivot into international sports marketing by taking a job without pay and in a country where he didn't even speak the language. Mike's courage and trust led to a dream role with the NBA, leading the launch of its global expansion during the 1992 “Dream Team” Olympics in Japan.God later asked Mike to lay down his “Isaac” (his love for sports) and step into ministry. Through unexpected connections, he helped launch “Kid's Games,” a Bible-based global sports outreach now in over 140 countries.Today, Mike coaches leaders and teams, focusing on culture, communication, and self-awareness. Drawing on tools like the Five Voices of Leadership, he equips others to lead with humility and courage. This episode is a masterclass in what it means to trust God when the path makes no sense. Mike reminds us: “When ‘good and faithful servant' is your mantra, your path will not be linear. When you're walking in obedience, never trust your eyes, because it'll never look the way you think it should.”More about Mike:Michael Wozniak is a Business Leadership coach fighting for people's highest good unlocking leadership potential at every level. He believes strongly helping owners and leaders grow themselves, grow their people, and grow their business. Michael has owned multiple businesses and currently owns a volleyball club along with his consulting agency. He is an author of the book “Employee Drift” sharing how to lead people purposefully in support, clarity & trust. Employee disengagement doesn't happen overnight. It's a gradual process, a drift, often caused by a lack of effective leadership. However, when employees feel valued, supported, and inspired, they show up differently. They stop working for you and start working with you. Michael and wife Beth have been married for 32 years and have four adult children, a daughter-in-law, and one granddaughter. How secure is your faith-firewall? Are you constantly battling faith-breaches, compromises, or spiritual malware? In this episode, Chris Cooper, a cybersecurity professional and founder of Lighthouse in Me, LLC, draws striking parallels between protecting data and guarding our souls. Just as companies build defenses against digital threats, Christians must protect their hearts and minds from spiritual attacks. God's Word, says Chris, is the Christian's firewall and eternal policy for protection. Obedience to Scripture determines its effectiveness.Chris's faith journey took a pivotal turn during a career setback, when he realized that true security doesn't come from self-reliance but surrender to God. Letting go of his personal agenda, Chris describes how he embraced God's plan and built his "faith-firewall" through Scripture. Drawing from the parable of the talents in Matthew 25, Chris learned how to invest his time, skills, and finances for God's glory. Viewing work as ministry is a transformative faith practice for Chris. Have you ever wondered what it takes for a man to truly embrace God's call as a father, husband, and workplace leader? Chris Grainger's journey of spiritual growth led him to found The Lion Within Us, a ministry that helps men grow in faith through accountability and support. From his own faith struggles as a teen and young adult without mentorship, Chris now mentors and disciples men to take responsibility and address common challenges like intimacy, finances, and pornography in a safe, judgment-free space. At the heart of Chris's mission is the Biblical principle that “iron sharpens iron.” Through The Lion Within Us mastermind groups, men disciple one another by giving and receiving tough, yet honest instruction in love. While the refining process can be brutal and abrasive at times, it ultimately builds character and faith. Chris also instructs men on the power of their influence, explaining that every interaction with family or neighbor will either draw others closer to Christ, or push them further away from Him.Chris demonstrates that when Christian men come together to confront life's toughest challenges, God's power is unleashed, equipping them to lead their families, impact their communities, and confidently embrace their God-given purpose. About ChrisChris Grainger is the Founder of The Lion Within Us and has a passion for serving others. He is building a community that provides Christian men encouragement to become the leaders God intends them to be. Chris connects with others by sharing personal stories and reflections of professional success, hurdles encountered and how every circumstance is an opportunity to build the Kingdom. At home Chris is married to his wonderful wife Rebekah and has 3 daughters Chloe 14, Ava 12, Lily 3 and a son Judah 2! Author Drew Hall is a man on a mission! While his mission fields are many—devoted husband, doting father, and a longtime youth pastor, teacher, and coach—his goal remains singular: "Show them Jesus." Whether at home, at work, or in ministry, he builds relationships through common ground, presence, transparency, and time in God's Word.In this episode, Drew shares how his wife's cancer scare became a defining moment in their journey of trusting God's sovereignty. Through fear and uncertainty, they leaned on faith, learning to surrender while holding fast to hope. And as a father, he emphasizes the importance of making his voice and God's Word the strongest influences in his daughters' lives, above all else.Beyond his family, Drew is passionate about discipleship, believing that true success isn't in the sermons he preaches but in the lasting truths he imparts about God. He strives to live a life that aligns with what he teaches on Sundays, knowing that authenticity is key to earning trust. As he puts it, “If you don't show that you care about the little things, people won't trust you with the big things.” Tune in for a conversation that will encourage you to model your faith in the everyday moments and in all of the mission fields to which God calls you.About DrewI was born in Gadsden, Alabama, to Alan and Karen Hall. My parents were blue-collar workers who worked hard to give my sister (Heather) and me the best chance to have a successful life. I was lucky to have all of my grandparents present in my life while I was growing up, and they helped shape me into the man I am today. I am thankful that my family is still active in my life. I understand that is a blessing and I treat it as such. I grew up always playing sports. Baseball and basketball were the two that I continued through high school. Sports never came easy to me, and to be honest I was average at best. I did however fall in love with the aspect of competition. There was not much better than being on a team and competing with your buddies. The most influential thing in my childhood was entering into a relationship with Jesus and trusting him as my Lord and Savior. That decision was a guiding force to the majority of the decisions I have made in my life. The ones where it was not the guiding factor, led to issues and problems. One of the greatest things it lead me to was accepting God's call on my heart to preach the gospel. I started preaching at 16 and it is still a guiding passion of my life.My love of sports and God intersected after high school. While my playing time was over, God opened the door for me to be a part of a team again. I was given a scholarship to be the manager for the baseball team at Jacksonville State. While there I ended up helping the baseball, women's basketball, and softball teams. I wanted to be a coach and use that platform to share the gospel. I got that opportunity when I was blessed to be a graduate assistant coach at Samford University. What happens when faith and the business world intersect? C-Suite for Christ founder Paul Neuberger believes the workplace is the greatest ministry field on earth. He is passionate, unashamed, and unapologetic about his mission to “Cover the World in Christ”. Paul especially understands the unique challenges faced by senior-level executives in embracing this truth. Discover how C-Suite chapters across the world serve as “filling stations” for executives who desire to make a non-negotiable commitment to the Gospel, lead by Christian values, and shape their organization's culture boldly and authentically through faith.ABOUT PAUL:Paul M. Neuberger began his career as a keynote speaker by nearly killing himself. Seriously. Then again, there's nothing conventional about Paul, a man who relishes the concept of punching conventional wisdom in the face. His motto is “Making the impossible, possible.” Getting a clearer picture?A devout Christian, Paul didn't buy the (supposedly) tried-and-true notion of “keep religion and business separate.” He founded C Suite for Christ, a faith-based fellowship for professionals, which boasts international reach and a social media following in the tens of thousands. An accomplished sales trainer, Paul first made a name for himself as The Cold Call Coach. Cold calling? You mean the sales practice that everyone dreads? Yes indeed. Paul actually likes cold calling, has been very successful at it, and teaches others how to do so fruitfully. His book, “The Secrets to Cold Call Success,” is an Amazon best-seller.A free thinker and truth seeker, Paul spearheaded the creation of Young Guns, a movement that encourages entrepreneurs and professionals to speak up, be real, and share the most authentic version of themselves. The world is a fast-moving place. They're changing how business gets done.In between, Paul lives in Colgate, Wis., with his wife, Tanya, and their three children. The most important part of his unconventional life is the most conventional of all. He wouldn't have it any other way.A few years ago, Paul nearly worked himself to death. He was a mess, stressed out and alienated from those who meant the most to him. God stepped in. Paul let Him take charge. Paul's career took off, and he was soon speaking to audiences in the tens of thousands, inspiring and empowering people to use their unique qualities for success and fulfillment.A slightly unconventional path? Maybe so. For Paul, it's the only one to follow.Support the showTransforming the workplace one Bible study at a time - DONATE today! But, when you are trying to resolve challenges like growth stagnation, high turnover, or hybrid work staff complications and you think best practices only exist in your organization, you often create barriers instead. Listen as Debra gives great insight into how asking the right questions reveals often overlooked reasons that could help resolve the challenges you face. It can be hard to confront the truth that you don't have all the answers, but God's word gives great examples too of hard questions and the reasons they are important to resolve the challenges at hand.About GuestBeginning her career surrounded by rocket scientists at Martin Marietta (Lockheed Martin), Debra learned very early that talented, smart people need disciplined and structured critical thinking processes to manage the supply chain of information enveloping them. Today, Debra partners with clients at Kepner-Tregoe to remove the “noise” that paralyzes even the best as issues must be identified, problems must be solved permanently, decisions must be made well, and risk must be managed effectively.
