If you are starting 2025 with a visit to Walt Disney World, here is what you can expect from the weather and special events that will affect what you should pack and wear for your Disney vacation. How to Dress for January Weather at Walt Disney WorldJanuary 2025 Weather in Orlando will be on the Cooler Side, but Not Too Cold Most DaysJanuary at Walt Disney World is a month that is typically not very hot, at least in terms of Florida weather. It is the middle of winter after all. However, if you're traveling to Walt Disney World in January 2025, it is looking like it's going to be a pretty good month in terms of weather as it applies to visiting theme parks and doing other Disney things. Special events at Disney World in January might impact your vacation depending on where you're staying and what you plan to do. Take note that the Walt Disney World Marathon runs from January 8 to 12, 2025 and the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts takes place from January 10 to February 17, 2025. The marathon in particular can cause travel disruptions onsite, so be sure to check for more information about that, if you plan to visit Disney World that weekend.Weather Forecast for Walt Disney World in January 2025The forecast for January 2025 at Walt Disney World is pretty good for a typical January. The forecast is very similar to the pleasant December that just took place and should be good for a winter vacation to Walt Disney World. Yes, it's cool, but most days are not downright cold, making them pleasant for being out and about. For January 2025, Orlando and Walt Disney World daytime highs are forecast to range from 54°F (12°C) to 73°F (23°C), while nighttime lows will hover around 48°F (9°C) to 64°F (18°C). Almost all days, however, will be in the low 70s°F or upper 60s°F.On a positive note, there is very little rain forecast for Disney World in January 2025, so that is a bonus for your vacation. As always in Orlando, however, be prepared for at least one errant pop-up shower just for good measure. What to Pack for Walt Disney World in January 2025While the Christmas holiday season will extend for a few days into January, packing for a January Walt Disney World vacation does not include festive wear.If you are a shorts and t-shirts person (or any of the top five most common outfits for Disney Parks), these should be fine for daytime in January. Otherwise, pants or leggings and a long-sleeve top or light jacket will do just fine. If you plan to spend time outdoors at night, then a hoodie or light jacket is a good thing to bring along. Sometimes it can be windy in the parks at night and that adds a bit of a bite.If you plan to visit the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, feel free to get inspired with a themed outfit for the occasion.Watch for the biggest crowds during the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend. There are six races in total and with road closures and so on, it can be a challenge even getting out of your hotel. Check ahead and be prepared, because if you have an early flight that weekend and you are staying at a hotel on a marathon route you could miss your flight if you don't plan for the delays. All in January, January 2025 is looking to be a great month for a Disney vacation. As always, check the weather forecast for Orlando on a local Orlando weather media outlet the day before you leave for your vacation. That will give you the most up-to-date and accurate vacation forecast.Contact 1923 Main StreetThank you for listening to the Disney Travel Style Podcast at 1923MainStreet.com.Shop unique and original Disney-inspired clothing, including t-shirts, sweatshirt, hoodies, yoga leggings, dresses, swimwear and more at 1923 Main Street.Follow along on X, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.Thank you for listening and have a magical day!Mike Belobradic and Amelia Belobradic--Media provided by Jamendo

Disney's Country Bear Jamboree has a much longer history than many people realize. What's next for the country bears in 2024, plus Disney Imagineering is slowly slipping further away from Walt Disney's approach to park theming. The Next Chapter in the Long History of Country Bear JamboreeCountry Bear Jamboree will be closing for a complete overhaul on January 27 and will re-open in the summer (no specific month yet) as the all-new Country Bear Musical Jamboree. As first announced at Destination D23 last summer, the Country Bears will return with a new show that pays tribute to the Opry style shows of Nashville. Disney promises quite a few Easter eggs throughout the show (including a familiar tune), as the bears sing new and reinterpreted Disney songs in different country music genres.Country Bear Jamboree has a long and interesting history. Walt Disney originally conceived the Country Bears concept in the 1960s to be part of the grandiose Mineral King Ski Resort project in California. This, of course, was never actually built. But the Country Bears idea was revived for Walt Disney World where it became one of the most popular marquee attractions when the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971.Editorial Rant: Current Disney Imagineers Continue to Stray Further from Walt Disney and Closer to UniversalOf interesting note in the Disney news story is that Disney continues to refer to this area -- including Tiana's Bayou Adventure -- as Frontierland. So, unfortunately, Disney Imagineers are ignoring trademark Disney Parks theming and slipping further towards a Universal type of fragmented-not-too-concerned-with-lands approach to design. I have often said that the current group of Imagineers is among the worst in Walt Disney World history, so hopefully at some point the sloppy Imagineering can be cleaned up and returned to earlier Disney standards.A lazy Imagineer is not a good Imagineer. So Bob Iger, please take a look at the lack of basic creative spark and ingenuity in your current Disney Imagineering Department.--Disneyland Lunar New Year Foodie GuideTop Food Picks from the 2024 Lunar New Year Event at Disney California AdventureFrom January 23 to February 18, the Lunar New Year Festival will turn Disney California Adventure Park into a vibrant destination with characters, entertainment, festive décor, merchandise and food.
