George Foreman sadly passed away this past weekend, prompting us to reflect on our favorite meals cooked on the Foreman Grill from years gone by. Shifting gears, we discuss some interesting news: a woman is generously offering prom dresses at no cost, Denver is funding a park that it technically already owns, and the most effective way to shed pounds might just be to eat like an infant. The fun continues on our social media pages!Jeremy, Katy & Josh Facebook: CLICK HERE Jeremy, Katy & Josh Instagram: CLICK HERE

In this episode we close out the 2021 year. I am joined by Jaime and Hiram (in person). Hiram shares his experience with his battle with covid over the New Year's weekend. We also talk some Dallas Cowboys football and how Jaime is barely holding on to the band wagon. We do something a little different on this episode as we do a year in review on some of the more memorable moments and guest that we had on the podcast in 2021. We start off talking about our first episode where we really didn't know what we were doing. Our first guest joins the podcast Nick "I'm not Hollywood" Lopez. We talk about the Chicken Wars March Madness contest where we eat way too many chicken sandwiches. Many other guest joined the podcast throughout the year including Captain Mike, The Queen of BBQ, Chillin and Grillin and many more. We finish out season one with some remote podcast at the High Steaks Texas Cook'em in Edinburg. We had some pretty cool guest on that one and made friends with Bret Galloway. We talk about the beginnings of our experience in competition cookoff and how we have progressed since then. Hiram comes up with a new tamale dish combining tamales with Frito pie. Could this be a new Texas Staple? We talk about our visit to Smokecrafters and our experience making sausage. The guys want to know why things are called Chicken Fried when there is not chicken in the recipe. We talk about some bucket list items knocked off in 2021 which included my outdoor Thanksgiving, Hiram's steak cooking, and our CBA Grand Championship. We end off by talking about what we see for the podcast in 2022 and some potential ideas that we have in mind. Thanks for all the listens and support!!!!! Stiz Grimey & Superstah Snuk are back for Episode 85 of Stuck On Stuff! It's New Years Eve and the guys kick off the episode with a clip from the legendary Dick Clark! And even though it's the holidays, Stiz may be going through a little seasonal depression and Snuk attempts to get to the bottom of it. Lil Pump comes for Eminem, Boston's own Benzino goes shirtless and challenges Royce Da 5'9" to a Versuz battle, Young Thug says he has more stadium anthems than Jay Z, and we break down the Twisted Tea slap heard 'round the world! Also, why does Stiz have a strange habit of brushing his teeth before every episode? Is the Air Fryer just 2020's version of the Foreman Grill? Why is Kevin Spacey so creepy? And do both Stiz and Snuk have long lost sisters that they've never met out there?! All that and more, on a New Years Eve episode of Stuck On Stuff!! Today we are joined by Andrew R. M. Smith, author of No Way But To Fight: George Foreman and the Business of Boxing (University of Texas Press, 2020). In our conversation, we discussed Foreman’s career, the role of race in American sports, and how boxing helped give rise to athletic mega-events. In No Way But To Fight, Smith traces the intersections between Foreman’s life, the racial politics of sports during the Civil Rights era, the intensification of boxing’s commercialization, the complexities of black masculinities, and the internationalization of sports mega-events. He shows that from his upbringing in Houston’s Fifth Ward to his role as a spokesman for the Foreman Grill, Foreman always fought to redefine himself along with the times. Smith’s telescoping view showcases a Foreman that played with different personalities - including American patriot, soul man, and evangelical preacher - in order to achieve success at distinct stages of his life. Although Smiths work proceeds chronologically, it focuses heavily on Foreman’s first boxing career, the period between Foreman’s Gold Medal fight in 1968 to his defeat in 1977 to Jimmy Young. Based on a close reading of newspaper articles, advertising materials, and interviews with the boxer, he paints vivid pictures of the snapshots of Foreman’s life. The pugilist pursued different strategies throughout his career in and outside of the ring – some more sensible than others such as not drinking water the day before a fight. He also showcases the way fighting created pathways for a young man from one of Houston’s roughest neighborhoods to achieve global fame and fortune. No Way But To Fight will appeal to readers interested in the links between money, race, and prize fighting in the United States. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

We are a lean, mean, fat-reducing, podcast machine! This week, Aaron and Pat test the limits of their friendship going back-and-forth about Big George Foreman. Things get heated, like some burgers and dogs you grilled without having to go outside thanks to the miracle of an indoor grilling machine as the two try to decide what is more impressive: The George Foreman Grill, or Ol' George winning the heavyweight title at the ripe age of 45.

Good food and bad motorcycles accidents, plus trucks and cars and shooting holes in things: it must be the Garage Hour. Skully and low-brow artist Dave Lozeau joined Hostus Maximus Justin Fort in the studio for this pre-holiday festival of gearhead supersauce, and Yes, there were mopeds: how to jump them, how to fix them, how to swallow your pride and look cool despite the fact that they'll always be silly. Speaking of our world-famous Dude Food experiments in manly dining, the Garage Hour goons get into the weeds with carne asada, flap steak, fajitas, luau-style turkeys cooked in-ground, and the cohosts describe making peppers & onions carne and the world-infamous homepie (what's basically cooking on a caveman version of the Foreman Grill). As we promised, though, there's a flatbed full of motorcycle and moped chatter in this episode. V-Maxes are dropped, mopeds parked in hedges, Triumphs not ridden to Harley cruises, cool biker leather jackets and Jesse James versus Robert Ford. On top of the two-wheel talk, the host also gets after some auto-business news and makes another powerful (and powerfully accurate) Garage Hour prediction: following Chrysler's gift to the FIAT unionists in Europe by President Badidea Obama, in only a few years, Jeeps will be sold with FIAT underpinnings… Surprise! It's already come true.
