I think it's really important to be clear about what is going on here, and a relatively small crime problem is being used for specific authoritarian purposes that A relatively small crime problem. Oh, okay. We know and understand. So let's be clear about DC does have a really one really big crime problem, which was the January sixth insurrection Oh. Incited by the current president of United States. Okay. And his first act in coming back was pardoning all the people who tried to overturn constitutional republic order in Washington, DC. When I go to DC, I'm not afraid of losing my wallet so much as I'm afraid of losing my vote. I'm not afraid of losing my wallet so much as I'm afraid that my children's freedom to breathe will be stolen in a world where climate change policy is nonexistent. I'm afraid that the future of middle class people will be stolen by the very things you were talking about, cutting the safety net, cutting Medicaid, cutting rural hospitals. Right. Right. So so there is contact, like, and So so this guy is not see, he's not there, and he's not worried about the people that live in DC. He only visits. When I go to Washington DC so you don't have to live there. So you don't exactly know what's going on. I I love what they said over at at MSNBC. Well, no. It was actually on, Morning Joe. No. It was MSNBC. Chris Matthews said that Donald Trump has gotten the Democrats to defend the indefensible. Let's take a listen to Chris Matthews and and Mika Brzezinski over there at MSNBC. Here we oh, this is on Morning Joe. Yeah. Let's take a listen. And the murder rate, you can't keep saying violent crime is down with the murder rates up. To the average person, the murder reps about life and death. You don't brag about a rising murder rate. And the Democrats are, I agree with you, Mica, they're falling into the trap of defending what's indefensible. It's a trap. Yes. It's a trap. I mean, if, it's not a winner politically, to say, oh, you're wrong. Look at the data. Because, you know, if one violent crime happens in a in a a very heavily populated part of the city, people hear about it, and it's visceral. They don't want it, and they want to they'll gravitate to the person who appears to be doing something about it. And the appears to be doing something about it. Well, it appears that president Trump, after federalizing the police in Washington, DC, it appears that several 100 criminals are off the streets in just a matter of, what, twenty four hours? Little over that? That's what it appears like. It appears like the police in Washington DC are finally brave enough to actually do the job of policing because now they've got the authority of the federal government behind them. Good. I saw this one woman trying to interfere with police, arresting a guy, and, well, things did not go well for her. Saw another video where they're rolling up into these neighborhoods, and these and these people are, like, shocked shocked to see the police there. I can't believe it. The police are rolling up in in our area. I will guarantee you they hadn't been there for a long time. So, so but, no, I'm more worried about I'm more worried about climate change. We can run through the armies and bands that the enemy sends against us and we can leap over whatever he places before us in attempts to impede our progress. No temptations, no fleshly desires or inclinations will stop us from advancing to the highest heights that God has ordained for us to achieve. Send us a textBefore the desire to go away that God never ordained can be accomplished, there must be a starting point, a fundamental basis or core to allow the enemy access to us. There must be a weakness within each of us where the enemy can attach an incentive or temptation strong enough to cause us to fall. Would the weakness in you be in reference to pride, lust, money or even hatred and unforgiveness? For each and every one it's different. The enemy knows what will work against one will not always be successful against another. As the kids used to say years back, he knows just what buttons to push in order to pluck your nerves. He knows just what carrot to dangle before you, just what motivation will work against you in your life at that time and moment to bring about the temptation to sin. What may be a temptation or incentive for me would probably never work on you and vice versa. Nonetheless, temptations happen and depending on one's relationship with the Father, depending on how much one will allow his flesh to make the determinations will also determine how successful that inclination and desire to submit to them will be. In other words, the more we submit to the temptations the more we will submit to sin. For integrity to be proven it must be tested. 2. The true test of integrity is not when it benefits you to have it, but when it costs you to keep it. a. The fact that Job had not lost his integrity though he had lost everything else is the evidence of true integrity. b. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. 3. One purpose of suffering is to learn patient endurance. Revelation 14:9-12 (NIV) – [9] A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, [10] he, too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. [11] And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.” [12] This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus. 4. Satan is out to prove that our integrity is based solely upon the good things God does for us. 5. The tests of life are evidence of God’s confidence in us to pass them.
