Gold and silver investors were treated to another eventful week as physical silver shortages intensified overseas, gold's growing importance in artificial intelligence infrastructure came into sharper focus, and a bizarre FBI investigation uncovered more than $40 million worth of gold bars at the home of a former CIA senior officer. India's silver premiums have surged to nearly 19% above Western benchmarks, highlighting mounting stress in the global physical bullion market and raising questions about future silver price discovery. Meanwhile, new research shows gold demand from AI servers, advanced semiconductors, and mission-critical electronics remains robust despite record-high prices, reinforcing the metal's strategic industrial value. Adding an unexpected twist to the precious metals landscape, federal agents reportedly seized 303 gold bars, $2 million in cash, and dozens of luxury watches from a former intelligence official's Virginia residence. Listen in for a deeper dive into these developing stories and what they could mean for gold and silver investors moving forward.

Heliostar Metals Vice President, Investor Relations and Development, Stephen Soock joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company's evolving growth strategy and its transition from explorer to emerging mid-tier gold producer. The company is advancing a production-focused approach designed to create near-term cash flow while supporting longer-term expansion objectives. Soock explained that Heliostar's strategy centers on maximizing existing assets and generating internally funded growth rather than relying heavily on external capital raises. By utilizing cash flow generated from production activities, the company aims to build a sustainable pathway toward becoming a larger gold producer by the end of the decade. During the interview, Soock said Heliostar is targeting annual production of approximately 300,000 ounces of gold by decade's end through a portfolio of projects that are either already in operation or nearing production readiness. He described the company's development approach as a “bootstrapping methodology,” allowing Heliostar to leverage smaller-scale production to create cash flow and fund future opportunities. The company's La Colorada and San Agustin mining assets have recently returned to production following periods of care and maintenance. According to Soock, La Colorada required only a relatively modest investment of approximately US$25 million to restart operations, highlighting the company's disciplined capital allocation strategy. San Agustin has also resumed production following permitting approvals in Mexico, further strengthening Heliostar's operational foundation. Looking ahead, Heliostar continues advancing its Ana Paula project, which is being targeted for production in 2028. Soock noted that the company has already invested significantly in infrastructure and previous development work at the site. This existing foundation may help reduce future development costs while accelerating progress through engineering studies and project optimization efforts. Discussing the economics of current operations, Soock highlighted the strong profitability environment for gold producers. He noted that with gold prices near US$5,000 per ounce and all-in sustaining costs around US$2,000, the company sees meaningful margin potential and expects strong operating cash flow to support future growth initiatives. The company's strategy reflects a broader focus on balancing production growth, disciplined spending, and exploration upside as it works toward building a larger and more diversified gold production platform. #proactiveinvestors #tsxv #hstr #otcqx #hstxf #mining #anapaula #lacolorada #sanagustin #gold #goldstrike #utah #PreciousMetals #MiningStocks #Exploration #ProductionGrowth #NaturalResources

The central structural shift identified is the acceleration and scaling of cyber risks due to artificial intelligence, which turns formerly expert-driven security processes into repeatable, rapid workflows. Major threat intelligence units, including Google's Threat Intelligence group, are now documenting the use of AI in both identifying and weaponizing software vulnerabilities. The landscape is further shaped by the proliferation of AI-generated and AI-assisted online content, contributing to an environment where traditional verification and control mechanisms are less reliable. The episode presents concrete evidence: Google reported criminal hackers leveraging AI models—explicitly noting the use of non-Google technology—to discover a previously unknown zero day, while The Verge and Wired highlighted AI-assisted attempts to bypass multi-factor authentication and the impact of synthetic content even within cybercrime forums. Research covered by 404 Media documented that by mid-2025, a third of newly published websites were AI-influenced. These observed changes drive threat intelligence teams to treat AI as a working hypothesis in live investigations. Additional supporting developments reinforce the broadening security and operational impact. Tools such as Proofpoint's Prism Investigator and OpenAI's Daybreak show the push toward automated threat detection, investigation, and reasoning pipelines, altering expectations from detection to defensible reconstruction and evidence generation. Analysis of supply chain compromises—such as tampered software installers and malware leveraging already-exposed cloud systems—demonstrates how automation reduces defender response windows while increasing operational pressure on providers. Reports from Small Biz Trends and channel Life show significant implementation gaps, with only a minority of small businesses deploying password managers, and a wide disparity between optimism and readiness for AI-powered security. For MSPs and IT leaders, these trends tighten operational accountability. The tradeoff shifts from focusing on technology stacks to delivering concrete evidence of patch application, identity verification, data retention, and audit support. Providers face increasing pressure to standardize verification workflows, reduce patch validation cycles, and make evidence retention a default process. The operational complexity intensifies—either the MSP develops controls to govern automation and evidentiary rigor, or becomes the default risk absorber for ambiguous, fast-moving attack paths shaped by both client and attacker use of automation. 00:00 Zero-Day 04:06 Speed Gap 06:25 Prove It 10:27 Why Do We Care? The Automotive Troublemaker w/ Paul J Daly and Kyle Mountsier
Shoot us a Text.Episode #1339: We're Live from ASOTU CON and are talking about the steady profit machine powering dealerships as fixed ops revenues continue climbing for major dealer groups. We also cover mounting pressure to keep Chinese automakers out of the U.S. market and unpack a new AI report warning companies that speed and adaptability may matter more than perfection.Show Notes with links:Fixed ops continues to be the steady heartbeat of dealership profitability as the latest Automotive News rankings show major dealer groups growing service, parts, and body shop revenue even while the broader market normalizes.AutoNation held the top spot in service and parts revenue at $4.8 billion, up 4.8% year over year, while Lithia, Penske, and Group 1 all posted even stronger growth rates ranging from 8% to over 14%.Hendrick Automotive Group stood out with the highest average service and parts revenue per rooftop among the top five at nearly $24 million per dealership, proving fewer stores can still mean massive fixed ops performance. In body shop revenue, Asbury Automotive Group led the pack at $272 million, though several groups saw declining collision revenue as consolidation pressures and changing repair economics continue reshaping the market. Some of the biggest movers in service and parts rankings included Murgado Automotive Group, Young Automotive Group, and Nielsen Automotive Group, while Fitzgerald Auto Malls and Dobbs Automotive saw some of the steepest drops in body shop rankings.Masano Auto Group dealer principal John Masano summed up the industry sentiment saying, “I think the more that dealers look at this, they'll look at maybe concentrating on their core competency — which is sales and service and parts.”AI is compressing the timeline between innovation and disruption. A new Tech Trends report argues that companies winning with AI aren't chasing shiny tools; they're solving real problems fast, with people at the center of the process.Leaders across industries say AI success starts with business outcomes, not hype. Broadcom's CIO warned companies can “invest in AI and receive no return” without a clear problem to solve.UiPath's CEO encouraged companies to stop living in endless pilot programs and instead “attack your biggest problem” for meaningful impact.Western Digital's CIO emphasized speed over perfection saying companies would rather “fail fast on small pilots than miss the wave entirely.”Walmart involved store associates directly in designing its scheduling app, cutting scheduling time from 90 minutes to 30 minutes and driving actual employee adoption. The report's biggest takeaway: organizations built for slow, sequential improvement may struggle against competitors operating in continuous AI learning loops.Join Paul J Daly and Kyle Mountsier every morning for the Automotive State of the Union podcast as they connect the dots across car dealerships, retail trends, emerging tech like AI, and cultural shifts—bringing clarity, speed, and people-first insight to automotive leaders navigating a rapidly changing industry.Get the Daily Push Back email at https://www.asotu.com/JOIN the conversation on LinkedIn at: https://www.linkedin.com/company/asotu/

“When the future looks unstable, whether it's oil or geopolitics, you accelerate production today and protect wealth. Margarida Barreto has spent over 20 years moving through every layer of design fashion, illustration, branding, UX, and now AI-integrated creative direction. In this episode, she brings a practitioner's clarity to one of the most misunderstood shifts in the design profession: AI hasn't removed the designer's job. It has relocated the most important part of it.She draws a clean line between how AI accelerates visualization, research, iteration, mockups, and what it cannot replace: the judgment of what deserves to exist, why a brand matters, and what a client actually needs beneath what they say they want. For Margarida, the time AI frees up doesn't disappear. It moves into deeper thinking, more considered client relationships, and the kind of creative decisions machines can analyze but never feel.Margarida admits she was fooled by an AI-generated video of a dancing parrot. Not a cautionary tale about technology, but an honest reckoning: even experts operate with blind spots, and transparency about that is what actually builds trust. She closes with a quiet provocation that as AI saturates our feeds with content that looks alike and means nothing, the things that will hold the most value are the ones that can still answer the question: why does this exist?Key Themes: Human judgment in AI workflows.Design process evolution.Trust and transparency in AI-generated contentCreator burnout and tool overwhelm IP and terms of service literacy The future of meaningful creative workKey Takeaways:AI accelerates visualization but not judgment — the designer's role is shifting from operator to decision-makerTool overwhelm is real; use aggregator platforms and master a few tools deeply rather than chasing every releaseNever delegate branding or logo work fully to AI — use it for brainstorming and mood-boarding, not final executionTransparency about AI use should come at the beginning of content, not buried at the endReading terms and conditions matters use AI itself to summarize them and flag IP red flagsWhat becomes rare and therefore valuable: human interaction, intentional stories, and work that can answer why

"The challenges around jet fuel and flight cuts are going to get worse in the region before they get better." As South East Asian countries face up to tough economic choices from the Middle East war fallout, Gary and Hannah head to Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and China to tackle this week's big travel questions. We begin by discussing Vietnam's radical reshaping of its travel landscape and the MoUs signed last week by President To Lam with China related to cross-border railway development and Chinese COMAC planes. Next to Malaysia, where another KLIA service mishap is making headlines - this time related to the breakdown of its luggage delivery system. We look at how Singapore tourism and passenger numbers on Singapore Airlines proved resilient during a challenging first quarter of the year. Plus, we address different environmental issues for the Komodo National Park in Indonesia and the Chocolate Hills in the Philippines. Finally, we return to Singapore to discuss the role of heritage in society and its travel industry as rising costs, an ageing population and general disinterest among younger generations question the viability of traditional businesses brought to the city-state by immigrants from across Asia that are an integral part of the Singapore story.
Equinix, Inc., the world's digital infrastructure company®, has announced the availability of Equinix Fabric Intelligence, an AI-native operational layer to manage network infrastructure. Fabric Intelligence enables enterprises to deploy AI-powered networking across their operations, a shift from legacy software-defined networking design to simplify the complexities of today's AI workflows. Powering the Equinix Distributed AI Hub, Fabric Intelligence introduces smart automation for deploying, optimizing and maintaining global infrastructure, giving organisations a more resilient, efficient and adaptive backbone for their AI workloads. "The whole concept of AI is to make processes faster, and manual processes for network monitoring and management are difficult, if not impossible, to scale effectively," said Jim Frey, Principal Analyst at Omdia. "Our research shows 93% of organizations agree that network automation will be essential for keeping pace with future change, and 88% also agree that AI itself will be required for effective network automation. With Fabric Intelligence, Equinix is providing enterprises the AI-driven control plane for deploying, activating, and managing multi-cloud networking, to help them meet the scale and automation needs of the distributed AI era." AI thrives in dynamic, connected environments, but many enterprises rely on slow, rigid legacy network architectures that were never designed for the speed and complexity of today's intelligence systems. As AI adoption continues to accelerate, traditional network operations teams are struggling to keep up. Manual workflows can create bottlenecks, long deployment cycles hamper growth, and visibility gaps compound the challenge. AI demands real-time, adaptive networking—driving a shift to AI-assisted network operations that interpret telemetry and respond dynamically. The result is a widening gap between the speed of AI and the networks expected to support it. Fabric Intelligence automates how AI workloads connect and operate across clouds, data centres and edge environments. It provides organisations with a smarter way to manage the complexity of AI by automating how their connections are set up, adjusted and maintained across these distributed environments. As a result, distributed systems run reliably without constant manual effort, freeing teams to focus on strategic business priorities, such as building new AI capabilities and scaling operations. "All enterprises are focused on leveraging AI to transform their business, but most lack the infrastructure needed to deploy it at scale in ways that drive their growth," said Jon Lin, Chief Business Officer at Equinix. "As agentic AI matures and inferencing applications proliferate across the enterprise, networking infrastructure needs to be faster and more flexible than ever before.Fabric Intelligence turns infrastructure from a constraint to a competitive advantage by enabling our customers to spend less time managing complexity and more time moving their business forward." Fabric Intelligence provides a suite of AI-native solutions enabling enterprises to design, deploy and manage their infrastructure using intuitive tools like natural language, automated agentic workflows and powerful predictive insights. Combined with Equinix's global infrastructure of 280 high-performance data centers in 77 metros around the world, Equinix is helping to accelerate enterprise adoption of AI tools and next-generation infrastructure. Drawing on insights from guests including Dr. Craig Kaplan, Kevin Maney, Pranav Lal, and Alok Tayi from Vibe Bio, Avetis explores what it takes to build durable companies in a time of rapid technological change. He explains why AI is evolving from a simple productivity tool into an active collaborator, why great companies do not just chase product-market fit but redefine markets altogether, and why weak systems become even more exposed as technology accelerates. He also reflects on the power of mission-driven companies, sharing the compelling example of parents driven to solve rare disease challenges, and makes the case that culture, appreciation, and human connection remain essential competitive advantages. Throughout the episode, Avetis argues that while technology may be moving faster than ever, leadership, judgment, architecture, and mission still determine who wins. It is a thoughtful and practical synthesis for leaders trying to think clearly, build wisely, and lead well in an AI-shaped future.TakeawaysAI is shifting from a passive software tool to a more active collaborator that can support decisions and workflows.Speed without clarity creates expensive mistakes, especially when AI is introduced into critical workflows.Category-defining companies win by reshaping demand, not just by building slightly better products in existing markets.Founders should pay close attention to shifts in technology, consumer behavior, economics, regulation, and expectations to spot new opportunities.AI can accelerate execution, but it cannot fix poor architecture, messy data, or weak thinking.Scale does not only come from breadth; it can also come from going deep into a problem that truly matters.Strong cultures are built when appreciation flows in every direction, not just from the top down. The companies that win in the future will not just move faster with AI, they will think better, build better, and lead better.Chapters00:00 Intro and the Big Idea Behind the Last Five Episodes01:10 Technology Is Accelerating, but Fundamentals Still Win02:16 AI as a Collaborator, Not Just a Tool04:28 Why Great Companies Shape Demand and Create Categories06:54 Product-Market Fit vs. Building a New Market08:03 AI Amplifies Strong Foundations and Exposes Weak Ones09:12 Why Enterprise Readiness Still Depends on Architecture and Trust10:01 Mission-Driven Innovation and the Rare Disease Story11:34 Why Meaningful Problems Create Deeper Commitment12:12 People Still Matter More Than Systems13:00 Recognition vs. Appreciation in Leadership14:40 Building Cultures Where People Feel Valued16:17 The Big Lessons Across All Five Conversations17:10 Why the Future Belongs to Leaders Who Think Clearly18:20 Outro and Final Leadership ChallengeResources and Links:https://www.hireclout.comhttps://www.podcast.hireclout.comhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/hirefasthireright

MSD's Ian Wagner talks with CEO Terry Harbort, who outlines strong early drill results from the Bralorne West area, alongside a $52 million financing to accelerate exploration across Mustang, Olympus, and Congress. With a resource update expected in May and production already underway, Talisker is positioning itself to transition from small-scale producer to a multi-asset, district-scale gold operation.
Bob Lang breaks down rising Middle East risk, a surprisingly stable oil market, and widening sector divergences. He highlights continued strength in semiconductors like Nvidia (NVDA) ahead of TSMC (TSM) earnings, persistent weakness in software, and a growing disconnect between economic growth and profit expectations as earnings season ramps up.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Options involve risks and are not suitable for all investors. Another business is shuttering its Portland location, laying off 106 employees. Direct Marketing Solutions is closing its production facility but keeping its headquarters open. CEO Luke Teboul cites 'operational needs and industry dynamics' as the reason. This comes as Oregon struggles to retain businesses, ranking poorly in national business climate surveys. Business bankruptcies are at a 12-year high, and Oregon has one of the highest rates of first-year business failure. The Oregonian even dubbed 2025 'Oregon's year of layoffs.' Portland's policies continue to drive businesses and jobs away, impacting families and the local economy. Is this the end for Portland?

Trump Says No To Iran's Peace Deal, Says Total Obliteration To Commence Tuesday! Top Economists Warn Record Prices Here To Stay As War Accelerates Inflation, Threatening 47's Fledging Recovery
This week on Autonomy Signals, Grayson Brulte and Rob Grant discuss China's $400 billion robotics investment, surging Chinese auto exports with advanced autonomous driving systems (ADAS), and rising compute costs that could reshape the autonomy economy.China is preparing to invest $400 billion in robotics this year as the country looks to further strengthen its current physical AI dominance. As China prepares to further invest in robotics, Chinese technology companies such as Xpeng that manufacture electric vehicles are beginning to share manufacturing lines and supply chains between electric vehicles and humanoid robots, reducing labor costs by 35%.With Xpeng aims to produce a thousand humanoids a month by year end. AUTNMY AI's proprietary AI algorithm, OMEGA, assesses that this convergence ensures Chinese humanoid platforms could achieve commercial viability 24 to 36 months ahead of US counterparts, and that standalone US robotics startups lacking automotive manufacturing synergies could face a mass extinction event by 2028.As China invests in robotics at home, Chinese automakers exported a record 7.1 million cars in 2025 with nearly 50% featuring advanced ADAS, and that pattern is only accelerating in 2026 partly due to margin compression on the mainland. While China is accelerating its export of electric vehicles with ADAS, Chinese autonomous vehicle companies, WeRide, Baidu and Pony AI are rapidly expanding into the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia through partnerships with Uber and Lyft, allowing these companies to bypass customer acquisition costs and avoid potential regulatory friction. This is setting up to be a potential Autonomous Belt and Road Initiative, where China embeds its autonomous driving technology into global transit systems, both public and private sector, the same way Belt and Road embedded Chinese influence through infrastructure investment.Closing out the show, the third signal points to a potential compute cost inflation cycle with AMD and Intel likely looking to raise chip prices 15% amid a global shortage. Tying all of the signals together, OMEGA assesses that the primary constraints on the autonomy economy are no longer software or LLM capabilities but NdFeB magnets, high torque actuators, and advanced semiconductor packaging.Episode Chapters00:00 AUTNMY AI00:40 Signal 1: China's Planned $400 Billion Investment in Robotics21:11 Signal 2: Surging Chinese Automotive Exports & Growing Global Robotaxi Expansions 40:06 Signal 3: Increasing Compute Costs44:01 Closing--------About The Road to AutonomyThe Road to Autonomy is the leading market intelligence platform covering the convergence of automation, autonomy, and the Autonomy Economy.™. If you are tapping, it almost always means you are focusing on something negative, like challenging emotions, physical pain, difficult times from your past, or limiting beliefs. This makes a lot of sense because tapping is a powerful tool for bringing about change and transformation. But just because tapping is great at responding to life's difficulties does not mean it's the only way to tap. Tapping for celebration is another great use for tapping that most of us miss. As we celebrate seventeen years of the Tapping Q&A Podcast this week, I share with you why you are missing out if you are not tapping while celebrating. The podcast covers how tapping for celebration: Accelerates your healing Encourages you to tap more Changes the way you feel in the moment beyond just relieving pain or discomfort You may not have experienced this type of tapping before, but after this episode, you will want to use it much more often! Bone loss doesn't start when fractures happen — it begins years earlier. In this episode, we explore how bone aging accelerates during menopause and the emerging role of the gut microbiome as a driver of skeletal decline. Dr. Kara Fitzgerald speaks with research scientists from Sōlaria biō, the company behind Bōndia, about their work studying plant-derived microbes, microbial synergies, and the connections between gut health, inflammation, and bone loss in peri- and postmenopausal women. We also review findings from a randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial examining a microbiome-based intervention for bone health — and discuss why bone loss may need to be addressed earlier, systemically, and beyond hormones alone. John Casmon interviews Matthew Pezon, who shares his journey from being told he was the “worst employee” in his engineering job to building a vertically integrated multifamily portfolio in Pennsylvania. Matthew explains how early mentorship, relentless deal touring, and making dozens of offers helped him build confidence and land his first deals through distressed single-family and small multifamily properties. The conversation digs into Matthew's shift away from long-term buy-and-hold thinking toward what he calls the “velocity of capital,” recognizing when equity becomes trapped and redeploying it into larger value-add assets. After becoming a father of twins, he realized brute-force solo investing no longer scaled, pushing him to trade up into 20–40 unit properties and build leverage through people, systems, and capital. Matthew also breaks down how long-term relationships with agents and investors unlock off-market deals, why certainty of closing often matters more than top-dollar pricing, and how maintaining a reputation for not retrading sellers has fueled his growth. He closes by sharing how in-house property management, acquisitions staff, and clean financial reporting have helped him scale to hundreds of units while reclaiming time with his family.
