Kara Allen, founder of The Fitness Nest in Mandurah, Western Australia, is a mum of 2 boys and a personal trainer who specialises in Pregnancy and Postpartum exercise. Her goal is to help take the confusion and fear out of exercising during pregnancy and postpartum. Kara shares parts of her own journey, when she was pregnant with her first baby and found the information she was given about pregnancy and exercise confusing and conflicting. She has since done extensive training in this area, and has a range of services from one on one to group programs, to cater for the needs of the pregnant and postnatal mums that she sees in person. Western Australia is a beautiful part of the world and in particular the south west corner as a pretty special place for bonsai. They have incredible local native species which are perfect for bonsai. I have been fortunate to be involved with the clubs in Perth, Mandurah, Bunbury and Albany for over 4 weeks and have loved absolutely every second of it. So what did I learn? Words. We use them every single day. We use some of them to define ourselves, perhaps reflexively. How often do we question those definitions? Do we know where they've come from?
